Ty and Hyo ran still firing upon the gurads that swarmed around them,

'Where are they coming from!,' spoke Hyo as he slashed his way threw the guards, limbs dropping to the ground and blood splattered everywhere

They gurads were tracing them with ease

'Dammit,' whispered Ty as they ran behind a wall for cover,

'Now what?' questioned Hyo, Ty looked around and saw an air duct above them, he began shooting at it and the metal grate fell to the ground

'Quick, I'll divert them this way you get back above ground, If they're here then you can guarantee that they had been waiting for us and Mahony maybe in danger,' said Ty as he helped Hyo up into the air duct

'Ty come on,' called Hyo as he put his hand down

'There's not enough time, Just go!!!,' growled Ty as the footsteps got closer, Ty then stepped out from behind the wall and opened fire on the approaching guards shooting them down but more still came

'Ty come on!!,' called Hyo

'Go Hyo and quickly!!!,' roared Ty over the gunshots, Hyo watched Ty as bullets nicked Ty in the arm and leg, ty then pointed a gun at Hyo, 'If I don't make it...Tell Sage I love her....always,' spoke Ty as he fired at Hyo which made him disappear into the duct

Ty waited until he knew Hyo had gone and took off down the tunnels with the gurads behind him, shooting as he went although he didn't miss, each one who fell more appeared,

'Dammit,' Ty growled at himself under his breath..., 'I should of seen it....no wonder it was easy to get in...'

Ty rounded a corner and another, it seemed as though he had been running for miles, blood now stained his clothes, he managed to loose them and he stopped for a quick brake inside a dark hole which was in the wall, he could hear footsteps as the gurads got closer and then they stopped outside the hole

'Did you see where he went?' questioned a guard breathing heavily

'No, it's like he disappeared, dammit, we have to kill him...if he gets away we'll be done for,' spoke another

'Well at least we have Mahony...and Gervines men got Sage, the rest are to be killed esspecially that ex-assassin, if he lives then you can bet he'll hunt us down,'

'Who is he? why is it so important that he dies?' questioned one

'Have you not heard?...he was the one who took out the greatest smugglers, assassins and thieves you could come across,'

'Whos that?'

'The Shadow Dragons, he was their number one hit man, he could slip in and out of shadows with ease and never be seen and his aiming was always a perfect hit..he was truely deadly, the Shadow Dragon boss made him his right hand man but then some of the shadow dragons got jealeous of the close relationship between the Shadow Dragon boss and him, they were like father and son..and many didn't like it, so they pulled a dirty on him, they went on a heist, shot him three times and left him there to be caught by guards...but the bullets didn't keep him down, he got out of there, and slaughtered every single Shadow Dragon by himself, he even killed the Shadow Dragon boss and disappeared but now he's shown up out of the blue with the dark Angels..that is why the boss wants him dead, he's been missing for about a year, everyone thought that he was dead.....but clearly he's not,' spoke the guard

'Oh great..well lets track him down, we've wounded him so he can't be far,' spoke another as they split up into two teams and went seperate ways

Ty waited until he couldn't here their footsteps and crawled out of the hole, his eyes were stern and cold as he gazed down the hall ways, he then took off in the direction he had came from knowing that the guards wont be far behind him

Sage took in all her surroundings. She knew that if she was ever to make it out, she would need to know the quickest escape route. She noticed the guards positioned and planned her escape. They brought her into a room and made her sit on the chair. She waited until Nicholas came in with a swarm of guards at his side.

?You could never do anything on your own, could you Nick. Always had to have the best of Daddy?s guards at your side.? She said looking down smiling wickedly.

?Tough talk for one who?s about to die.? He said staring at her with pride. ?I?ve finally caught you. You should have known I could never let you get away with what you did.?

?Can?t blame a gal for trying.? She said. At that moment the guard behind her struck her face. She looked down frigidly at the stone floor. She slowly lifted her head up and met Nicholas? gaze.

?You?re a fool. At this very moment, we?re rounding what?s left of that pathetic gang you just joined. You should have just stuck with us Sage.? He said with his back tuned to her.

?Like hell I would. You?re father killed my parents.?

?Same old song. Well I?m afraid you?ll have a lot more deaths to repay after we?re through. That is if you live to repay them?? he said as he cocked his gun and loaded.

She sat there silently, unflinching.

?We just added another death to our list though. Maybe you?ve heard of him.? He said eyeing her as a smile stretched across his face.

She looked at him and a feeling of hopelessness made her shake uncontrollably.

?The Shadows Dragon, I think they call him?? he said smiling even more.

Sage felt her heart stop. ?You?re lying?? she said softly holding back the tears.

?Oh no, I?m afraid it?s true. But don?t worry you?ll see him soon enough..? he said as he aimed the barrel at her head.

Syn put his Eagles in the face of the guard carrying Mahony.

"If you value your pathetic existence, you'll put her down now."

The guard merely laughed. "Look around, kid. We have you severely outnumbered and outgunned."

"Yeah, but there's one thing I have that you don't."

"Oh yeah? And what would that be?" Syn shot two rounds into the guards' arm, causing him to drop Mahony. The other guards all aimed their guns on Syn. "You little bastard!" The others formed a tight circle around Syn. 'You'll pay for being a wannabe hero, dickhead. You there, take his guns." a guard stepped forward and forcefully took the eagles from Syn's hands. Syn started laughing. "What's so fucking funny?!"

"The hand is quicker than the eye, don't you know that?" He said holding his combat knife that was dripping with fresh blood. The guards surrounding him fell with deep slash wounds to the neck and wrists.

"DIE YOU SON-OF-A-BITCH!!!" The remaining guard picked up Syn's Desert Eagles and shot five rounds into his arms and legs.

'Oh lovely, you shot me with my own guns you cowardly asshole." Six more guards carrying assault rifles stormed in. "Look, the cavalry has arrived!" Syn started laughing again. "Well Mahony, I guess this is one hell of a failed rescue attempt. Come on now, do what you will so that we can hurry up and be taken wherever. Just please, no nightsticks up the ass. I don't swing like that."

Hyo moved through the ducts as quietly as possible. He looked down through the occasional vents to see if any of his allies were there. He found nothing, "What the hell was Ty thinking back there?" he asked himself as he continued further. He stopped abruptly as he heard some commotion below him.

He heard a familiar voice say, "Well Mahony, I guess this is one hell of a failed rescue attempt. Come on now, do what you will so that we can hurry up and be taken wherever. Just please, no nightsticks up the ass. I don't swing like that." Hyo saw Syn and Mayhony through the vent and they were surrounded by guards.

Hyo drew several kunai from his gi and broke the grate off and jumped down landing a kunai in each of the guards' neck during his fall. They all fell limp to the ground and there were no more guards for a bit. Hyo landed and stood straight up. He almost fell to the ground along with the guards since he could feel some of his wounds re-opening. "You two okay?" Hyo asked.

Syn picked up his guns from the lifeless hand of the guard that took them. "Damn glad to see you Hyo. Thanks for the help." Syn said laughing.

Mayhony directed her attention to Hyo, "Where is Ty? I thought you two were together." she said to him.

Hyo looked to the floor, "He told me to go ahead to find you two and give you any help if you needed it. I'm sure he's fine...but Sage..." he said grimly,"...she allowed both Ty and myself to escape...I'm not sure if she's okay or not, but...she's skilled and she should be able to make it. And I think Ty went after her, so they should both be fine." Hyo replied.

[Akieen Cloud]

Mayhony fell to the floor slaming her fists on the cold stone.
"DAMNIT! I should never have brought them here, any of you...I'm sorry, I put you all in danger..."
She looked up tears streaking her face, she stood, her knuckles dripping blood on the floor where she slamed them down.
"This way, I heard a gaurd talking about Sage and Ty...I think they may need some help once we got out of this...I'll make sure none of you see this place ever agian..."
She picked up the scyth and looked at Syn.
"Hyo...get him outta here, he needs to see a doctor. Get him to one. I'll bring the others back. That's an order. Follow it."
Syn was about to argue when Mayhony tunred and ran down the hall towards the main security office she passed a shadow that was attached to the wall and stopped.
"Let's go Ty. Shadow's Dragon. The Dead Angel requests your assistance."
He nodded silently and follwoed her throught the shadowed halls to the office where Sage lay on her knees infront of Nicholas and a gun pointed at her head, Ty jerked forward as if to tackle the man.
"No!" She whispered harshly."Wait till the right thime. This guy means busissness."
"So do I."
"Yea well, that's Sage's life there Ty. Don't fuck it up. Wait...gimme your knife."
She felt the cold steel placed in her palm and smiled grimly, she threw the blade with persicion and smiled as he screamed and dropped the gun.
"Go! Get her out of here Ty. I'll handle the cover up."
"But-"
"Go. that's and order. Get here out of here and make sure the others get to a doctor, that includes you too Ty. take care fo them till I get back."
He nodded as she took a stick of dynamite from his pocket and lit it stepping into the hall.
"You have ten minutes Ty. Move your ass."
Ty ran down the hall Sage held tightly in his arms. He could hear Mayhony from down the hall.
"You fuck with my band you fuck with me. the Dead Angel. Burn in hell you son of a bitch!"

Her mind was circling? she didn?t even hear Mayhony or Ty? she looked up at Ty who held her tightly as he ran through the corridor. She blinked as she realized she wasn?t dreaming. Ty?s face was full of focus as he ran out of the hall. He got to the entrance and she heard him scream to Syn as he set her on the ground carefully. Syn came over.

?She?s still in there? she only has 5 more minutes?? he said. Without waiting, Syn ran toward the entrance and through the hall. He didn?t care about his injuries. He needed to get her out of there?

Sage looked at Ty and hugged him tightly. She couldn?t stop crying. He held her and tried calming her down. But her body was shaking with relief.

?He said they killed you?? she said softly, as she stopped crying.

?I promised I would come back to you?? he said quietly. ?I?ve never lied to you??

She smiled as the tears fell. ?I love you? I love you so much.?

He caressed the side of her face when he noticed the mark the guard had made on her. Anger boiled in him, but Nicholas was dead now.

?He?s gone Sage? he won?t be threatening you?? he said.

She nodded. They heard rustled footsteps coming their way. He picked her up and helped her to her feet as they slipped behind the shadows. She looked at Ty and he smiled as he gave her back her gun. She kissed him lightly as they turned their attention back on the guards.

?We need to make sure that Band of Thieves that came here doesn?t leave. Their leader is still in there, and as far as we know the rest are as well.?

Ty smiled at her and she smiled back. She loved him? and no one was able to come between them.

Ty lifted his gun and kissed her again as he went out and shot the three of them down. He found the receiver and waited to hear the orders. He looked back at Sage who walked up behind him.

?They?re trying to trap them inside. They found her dynamite and dismantled it. We need to keep this area open for them.? He said standing back up. She smiled warmly at him. She was just happy he was okay.

?We can do that? if I know Syn, he may not have a plan, but he won?t let anything happen to Mayhony. He?ll get her out.?

Ty smiled. ?Or Mayhony will save his sorry case and get [i]him[/i] out.?

Sage laughed and kissed him again. ?I love you Ty.? She said. He smiled at her and they ran toward the other entrance to make sure it was clear as well.

Mayhony fought the gaurds back with her feet and fists, she was glad that she had taken kick boxing with the others. She growled ain frustration as she swa the dynamite on the floor the fuse gone and useless.
"Damnit."
Her scyth lay broken and helpless on the floor as she fought.
"They better be gone...I won't be responsible for their deaths."
She heard a scream behind her and looked up in shock as Syn came through the dooeway.
"WHAT? SYN WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING! GET OUT OF HERE!"
She spun and kicked a man in the chest smileing as she heard ribs crack and break under the pressure.
"Go."
Seh looked back at Syn and frowned.
" I thought I said fro you all to get out of here."
"We won't leave you here to die."
"And I won't be responsible to report to your families that your all dead!"
"LIsten to me! We get out of here, we'll try again."
"No, we get out of here we quit. I won't put you in danger like this agian. Ever."
Syn grabbed her wrist and threw down a smokwe bomb Hyo had given him and dragged her from the room and out the front.
"Let's go!"
Mayhony took the lead and led them to another hidout in the pass of a moutian that stood over the small town.
"I think that we need to quit while we're ahead...I won't put you all in that danger agian."
She limped to a room n the back to tend to her wounds, she looked down at the floor as blood splattered the floor.
"I'll be in the back...Make sure the others are ok and get them stitched up."
She closed the door and sat on the bed putting her face in her hands she began to cry.
"What have I done...I could've killed all of them...I-I could have killed them...what have I done..."

Sage looked over to the room Mayhony was in. She could hear her crying. She looked over at Ty and then Syn. He just stared blankly outside. She saw the blood on his shirt. She knew he had been wounded badly? She looked over at Syn again and he had just finished bandaging his own wounds? but his face was still blank. She knew he was worried about her. She went over to Syn and put a hand on his shoulder.

?Go to her? she needs someone right now. Ty and I will make sure things out here are okay.? She said softly. Without a moment?s hesitation, Syn was up and walked into Mayhony?s room. She looked back at Ty and hugged him tightly.

?I love you? so much?? she said, tears falling. She could still hear Mayhony and her heart wrenched in pain. She knew what it felt like to feel responsible for the pain of others. But like Mayhony had always told her, sometimes, you need to get yourself out of those feelings in order to set things right. She hugged Ty tighter. She knew Syn would help her understand somehow.

Hyo came up to them and Ty looked over at him. ?What is it?? he said. Sage lifted her head and noticed the worried look on his face. At that moment, she remembered Senkai and Xero.

?They?re not at the hideout. They never came back.? Hyo said dropping the receiver. He looked at Ty, as Ty walked over to the window.

He stared out for a while into the darkness. Sage came up behind him and placed a hand on his back. He turned around and smiled slightly at her. He looked over at Hyo. ?Feeling up for a search?? he said.

Hyo smiled. ?Up for anything.? He said.

Ty looked over at the room Mayhony and Syn were in. ?I think she needs some time to herself right now. Syn will take care of her.?

?Ty, they could be dead?? Sage said quietly.

He nodded. ?We need to know what happened? we have a place to start. Senkai said something about Orion?s Belt being involved in all of this.?

?Do you know of that organization?? Hyo asked Ty.

Ty turned around and nodded. ?They tried hiring me for a few jobs after they heard I wasn?t killed. But I believe Senkai?s involvement was a lot more than mine??

?He said something to me about Gervine being involved in Orion?s Belt as well?? Sage said.

?Well whatever is going on, we need to find Senkai first. Knowing him, he would have been heading to the hideout. We may find more clues back there.?

Sage felt something in her pocket. She picked it up and it was the receiver from the guards. She looked at Ty and Ty took it from her slowly. He looked at Hyo and answered it.

?We see you managed to escape. We have someone here I?m sure who belongs to your little band.? The man said over the link.

Ty looked at Sage and Hyo and gripped it tightly. ?What do you want?? Ty said into the receiver.

?Not much? I need the girl assassin that is with you? for questioning.? He said laughing a little. Sage stared at Ty. They both knew it wasn?t just for questioning.

?We know you managed to kill Nicholas. He was a coward anyway, nothing like his father. Not much of a loss there, but I am willing to exchange Senkai and his friend here for the girl.? He said.

?He?s a Damn liar?.? Hyo said under his breath as he looked at Ty. Ty nodded.

?We?ll come in??

?Fine, how many will I be expecting??

?Two?? Ty said. He knew the man was checking to see how many were alive.

?Two? I thought there were 5 of you?? the man said surprised.

?Three of our members are dead? and we don?t want anymore casualties.? He said evenly. He knew they would kill Senkai as soon as they made a ?trade.? So he planned to have Hyo get Senkai out of there while they confronted the man.

?Alright, well return to your hideout, and I?ll have one of my men there waiting. Tell them you wish to speak with Iodias.? He said menacingly. ?I look forward to meeting you in person, Shadow Dragon.? He said before transmission ended.

Ty looked at Sage for a long time and then at Hyo. ?We?re going to need your stealth capabilities on this one.? He said softly. ?Think you can manage it??

Hyo nodded as Ty turned to look at Sage. ?I won?t let anything happen to you? I?ll be with you on this one. Just trust me.? He said, holding her tightly.

?I trust you Ty? I always have.? She said as she hugged him. Ty left a note for Mayhony telling her she needed to stay there, and that they would be back soon. They grabbed their gear and headed toward the old hideout.

Ty moved swiftly in the dark, he could hear the others following close behind him, the night was quite...too quite as they came upon the old hideout, Ty waved them down and Hyo and Sage stopped dead in their tracks and crouched down, Ty searched the grounds and noticed a man standing outside the hideout,

'Ok, lets go, Hyo get senki out of there, we'll distract them,' said Ty as Sage and Ty left and Hyo took off in a different direction

Ty and Sage walked towards the man who stood waiting

'I want to speak to Iodias,' spoke ty coldly and calmly

'So...your the Shadow Dragon...the only one who lives,' smiled the man, 'Iodias will be pleased to see you,'

the man then opened the door and they walked in and there they found Iodias

'Shadow Dragon....you have finally come,' spoke a stocky, bearded man as he turned around with a smile

'Where's senki?' questioned Ty menacingly

'Oh he's around,' smiled Iodias

'i've changed my trade....Senki and Sage will be set free only if you join me...' smiled Iodias

'What makes you think I'd join you,' smiled Ty demonically

'Because if you looked around..you'd notice...' iodias began

'that we're surround,' laughed Ty as if it was amusing, Sage looked at Ty in confusion while Iodias stared at Ty with a deep evil

'How dare you mock me!!!!,' roared Iodias

'Can't really help it...your just one big joke!,' laughed Ty, 'Only the dumbest of all humans wouldn't beable to see that this is a trap!,'

'How dare you!!,' roared Iodias as he pointed a gun at Sage, 'Join me or she dies!,'

At that moment Ty quickly pushed sage out of the way and she hit the ground just as Iodias pulled the trigger, the bullet missed her and hit the wall, Ty then drew both guns and began firing upon the surrounding enemy, he quickly knocked Iodias to the ground, at that moment Hyo radioed to the reciever that ty carried

'I have him!,' spoke Hyo over the reciever, Ty then ran to sage and pulled her up off the ground,

'GO! I'LL HOLD THEM OFF JUST HELP HYO GET SENKI OUT OF HERE!!,' roared Ty

Sage looked at him with tears in his eyes

'GO DAMMIT BEFORE I SHOOT YOU!!!,' he roared over the gun fire and he pushed her out the window

Sage looked around and saw Hyo carrying Senki, she looked back at the window Ty had pushed her through and he was looking at her

'RUN DAMN YOU!!!!,' roared Ty as he then fired upon her, she dodged the bullets and got up and ran with tears streaming down her face, she grabbed senki and along with Hyo they ran as fast as they could and behind them they could hear the gun shots echoing and getting further away

'He'll be ok,' smiled Hyo as he looked at Sage

they bursted through the doors of the hideout and landed on the floor, their breathing was heavy, Mahony and syn then appeared

Sage stood up to go back for Ty but Hyo stopped her

'Don't go back, we need all the help we can get here, we don't know if they followed, so they both reloaded their guns and waited....waited to see if anyone had followed

Ty shot down most of the men who fired upon him, Iodias suddenly aimed at him after being knocked down, he shot Ty in the leg and in the arm, Ty flinched but didn't stop firing, he then turned to iodias who now stood and when he pulled back the trigger to shot him *click*..it was empty, Iodias laughed

'now we have you Shadow Dragon,' smiled Iodias, Ty quickly put his guns away and looked around and on the wall he saw a sword,

'Soot him!!,' laughed Iodias, Ty suddenly made a mad dash for the sword, bullets nicked him but didn't stop him as he tore the sword down from the wall and ran at Iodias who had just realised what he was doing and turned to face him, Ty ran at him dodging the bullets as he went and took a swing, the blade cut off Iodias arm which held the gun and then took another swing, Iodias stpped back in pain but was still focussed but the sword slashed him across the right eyes striking his eye as it made its mark, leaving a deep cut which made iodias scream in pain and he fell to the floor, the others were still firing on Ty as he picked up the gun and fired upon the remaining enemy as they all dropped dead Ty then dove head first threw a window and rolled into the stand where he disappeared into the night shadows..Iodias voice rang out at him

'SADOW DRAGON!!!....I WILL HAVE YOUR HEAD!!...I WILL HAVE YOUR HEAD FOR THIS!!,' Iodias voice echoed in the night as ty ran back to the hideout where the others were

As he reached the hideout he could feel himself tiring...his body ached and the pain from the bullet wounds serged through his body like lightning, he then slowly and wearily walked threw the door of the hideout out to find Sage and Hyo ready and armed

'Ty!!,' exclaimed Sage as they lowered their weapons....Ty looked at her with distant eyes and slowly walked towards her but then blacked out and began to fall to the ground, Sage made a mad dash towards him and caught him before he fell to the ground, Sage couldn't hold him properly and both of them ended up sitting on the ground, Ty's limp head rested on her shoulder and she pulled him in closer

'Ty...' she whispered as tears rolled down her face

When he woke up, he found himself in a dark room. He sat up but instantly felt the pain in his arms and shoulders.

?Don?t move.? Sage said softly. He couldn?t see her as his eyes adjusted to the darkness, but he felt her gently check his bandages. The window was open, but the moon offered no light. He could make out her silhouette, but that was it. He saw her turn around and look down at him.

?How long have I been resting?? he said trying to sit up.

?5 hours Ty, not nearly enough time.? She said as she put her arm on his shoulder.

?How is Senkai?? he said coldly, as he felt his arms.

?Hyo is taking care of him and Xero. They were in a lot of trouble.? She said quietly, but firmly at the same time. He saw her get up and walk toward the open window. He knew she was upset.

He got up despite the pain he felt. He went over to her and her silhouette became a clear image before his eyes. He could see she had been crying. He dried her tears with his hands as he stared into her eyes.

?Damn you?? she said softly, as she looked into his eyes.

Ty stared at her. He knew she was upset with him? he knew it, and yet he couldn?t find it in himself to fight with her.

?You would have let them kill you, even if it was really me they were after? it would have been my fault?? she said quietly.

He just stared down at her. He didn?t know what to say.

?And now, they?re going to try to kill you? all because of me.? She said raising her voice a little.

?Sage? stop this??

?You?re right, Ty. But you won?t let me?? she said as she looked at her gun.

?I won?t let you take your life. That?s not going to stop anything. It will only cause more pain.?

?I won?t let them kill you just because of me, Ty??

?Do you trust me, Sage??

?Damn it, Ty! It?s not about trust anymore. If they kill me, they?ll have to kill you first!!! I don?t want you to leave me!!!?

?I?m not going anywhere, Sage??

?Like hell you aren?t!!! I?m not going to allow anything to happen to you!!? She pulled out her gun and held it against her head. She backed away from Ty and he stared at her? he tried moving to her but she backed up even more, her finger shakily over the trigger.

?No?? he said when he realized how gone she was.

?Don?t Ty? I?m not going to allow someone to kill you over me.?

He stared at her and froze. ?Don?t pull the trigger Sage??

?I?m doing this for you?? she said through her tears.

?Sage?? he said louder.

?Ty? let me go?? she whispered.

?Don?t pull the trigger Sage? I?m telling you... don?t you dare pull that damned trigger!!!!? he screamed.

?I love you?? she said and she pulled the trigger as the bullet flew through the air.

Ty shot the gun from her hand right when the trigger had been pulled. He raised his guns to the air and shot the gun several times throwing it in different directions until it hit the window and flew down to the ground outside of the house.

She stared at the direction the gun went in and she flipped. She ran over to him, tears streamed down her face as she punched him in the face. The crack of the blow rang through her ears, but something had come over her, and she wasn?t able to pull away from her anger. He staggered backwards as his lip bled, and his face swelled. He looked up at her and felt his lip as she came up to him again. She slapped him but he just stood there expressionless. She tried to grab his guns away from him but he dropped them and grabbed her wrists. She tried to pry herself away as she went for the guns, but Ty kept a firm hold of her wrists. He pulled them together and stared at her; she turned her head and cursed at him, still trying to pull free. Her tears fell and hit the cold floor as she yelled at him. ?Damn you, Ty?? she said above her muffled whimpers. ?Damn you!!!?

?I won?t lose you?? he said to her.

She ripped her wrists free and hit his chest. Her fear engulfed her and turned into rage. ?Damn you, Ty, for loving me!!! Damn you??

?I won?t let anything happen to you?? he said as he pulled her closer to him and held her in his arms.

?Liar?.? She screamed. She shut her eyes as she hung her head. ?You?ll die protecting me? I?ll die with you??

?No one will take your from me? not even you.? He whispered into her ear.

She pushed her face into his chest and screamed in rage.

?I?m going to take care of you?? he said softly as he held her tighter.

?You?re not hearing me!!!!? she screamed into his chest.

?I love you?? he whispered, a tear falling from one of his eyes?

She stopped screaming and just cried as she threw herself to the ground.

He dropped down with her and she cried as he lifted her to her knees. She pulled his shirt to her face as she buried herself in his chest. The pain, the fear, everything had taken over her. She felt vulnerable. She had never felt this way before. She had never allowed it to happen to her. But now, she wanted to live? before, she didn?t give a second thought to whether she would die or not. She didn?t mind taking the risks. She didn?t feel she was going to lose anything. But now she had everything to lose. She had finally found happiness, and it was about to be taken from her. She didn?t want to die. She didn?t want him to save her either, and end up losing him. She didn?t want to choose between happiness and death? it wasn?t fair.

?I will never allow anyone to take you from me?? he said holding her.

?And what about me Ty? Am I not supposed to feel the same way toward you????

?I?m going to protect you? I can protect myself Sage.?

?Damn it Ty?? she said as the tears fell from her eyes. ?You can?t be strong forever!! You?re not invincible. They?ll get you? they?ll kill you? and then I will die. I swear to you? I will die?? she said crying in his chest. He held her tighter. He knew she was scared. And he would be there for her to take the fear away as much as he possibly could.

Hyo had been walking past when he heard what was happening in the room. He sighed and shook his head. He had just left Senkai and Xero to rest after wrapping their bandages to go outside to gather his thoughts. He was about to go outside when Syn stopped him. "Shouldn't you be with Mayhony?" Hyo said not looking up.

"I decided to give her some time alone for now." Syn replied. "Where you headed?"

"...Nowhere..." Hyo started as he opened the door, "By the way...My folks say 'hi'... " He smiled briefly and walked outside. He realized that Syn soon followed him out. "Why are you following me?" Hyo asked.

"Figured I'd give you some company while you're out." Syn said smiling. "So tell me...where are you headed man?"

"I'm just going for a walk to gather my thoughts...go back to Mayhony...tell her I'll be back." Hyo said. Syn nodded and returned the house. Hyo continued on and unravelled his mask. He rested the cloth on his shoulders and entered the forest nearby. He walked through until he came to an opening with a lake. He sat down by the lake and looked his eyes fixated to the water. He thought about his sister...who had died a while back. The only word he spoke was "Raijin..." until he got up after hearing some noise around him. He instantly drew one of his kitanas and scanned the area. A ninja clad female walked out of the forest but had already removed her mask. Hyo's sword echoed as it fell to the ground.

"Long time no see Hyo..." The girl said to Hyo as she continued to approach him.

"But...how did you find me?" Hyo asked in confusion.

"I've been following you Hyo...you shouldn't have left me at the academy..." She said sadly as she attained a position directly in front of Hyo.

Hyo walked closer and held her in his arms, "Hikaru...I would have waited...but you know better than anyone my family's situation...I had to go to them." he said grimly.

Hikaru looked up at him, "Well, I do understand...but when you left...I could only think about you..." she said almost seductively.

"I feel the same way..." Hyo replied. He looked around and grabbed her hand, "Come on I have to head back to HQ...I want you with me." He led Hikaru back to the house and picked her up and climbed up to the roof without anyone seeing him. "Do you have a place to stay?" he asked. Hikaru simply shook her head. "Okay...wait here..." Hyo jumped down and walked inside to find a blanket but he was cut off by Syn. "Is Mayhony doing any better?" Hyo asked trying to hide his guilt.

"Yeah a little." Syn said grimly. He looked at Hyo again and smiled. "So who were you out there with?" He asked.

"...." Hyo hurried and grabbed a sheet and ran outside. He climbed back up to the roof to see Hikaru asleep. He placed the blanket on her and lied down beside her. [I]She's back in my life...but...I can't let it distract me...I'll have to get her somewhere tomorrow....[/I] Hyo thought and slowly dozed off.

Syn sat outside and looked at the stars.

"This is pointless," He thought out loud. "The closest thing I have to a family is this band. And that was nearly ended earlier. Maybe I'm just bad luck. Hell, just the other day I go back home and I have to gun down my best friend from childhood." Mahony walked outside to investigate the talking. Upon realing that it was only Syn, she sat down against the wall around the corner from Syn. "On top of that, the only reason I keep myself alive is always inadvertantly almost getting herself killed. Whether its from an unexpected change in security or through my own incompetence, Mahony's life is constantly at risk. I just wish there were anything I could do. I just don't know what I'd do without her."

He took a deep breath.

His face went pale. "MA...MAHONY?! Just how long have you been sitting there?"

She shuddered as she calmed herself down. She knew Ty was worried about her. Didn?t he know how she felt about him? Didn?t he see how much she needed him in her life? How could he have tried to spare her life, knowing the odds were considerably against him?

She kissed his lips and wrapped her arms around his neck gently as she whispered softly in his ear. ?I need you Ty? I need you now?? she said shakily. Her lips trailed over his neck as she slowly unbuttoned his shirt. She ran her fingers through his black tresses, as he wrapped his arms around her and removed her shirt. She bit his neck passionately as he removed the rest of her garments and held her body in his arms. Her lips trailed down his neck and onto his shoulders as he gently touched her body.

?I want to help you Sage?? he said quietly. She was making his body shake as he felt her passion grow around them. It was more somber than before? making the moment last as if it would be their last time together. It sent chills through his body.

?I need to show you how much you mean to me Ty?? she said softly. He felt her tears hit his skin as she kissed his body. She placed her hands behind his back and pierced his skin as she pressed her body harder over his. His back was to the wall as she placed her hand on his chest and wrapped her other arm around the back his head, her fingers gripping his hair as her lips covered his neck, sending his emotions everywhere and the excitement to flow through him.

Ty didn't know what to think...his heart was racing...but in anger

'Stop it!,' spoke ty as he pulled away from her

'But i need to show you....I want you to know....' she whimpered

'I already do.....'he whispered as he looked out the window...he wanted her more than anything but his mind was too distracted by the recent events

'Ty don't push me away....' she whispered

'I'm not...it's just...getting too much....,' spoke ty as he pressed his head to the window, the cold glass sent a refreshing coolness through his mind, 'You ask me for things....which I don't understand Sage,'

'I can help you...' she whispered

'That is so...but...what if I don't want to be helped...your basically asked me to give up on being an assassin....I can't do that...being an assassin is all i've ever known,' he whispered

'Don't you understand how much you mean to me!!!!,' Sage roared as she gripped his shoulder and spun him around

'And dont you understand how much it hurts....,' growled ty his eyes cold and dark as the moon light seeped through the clouds casting an eerie glow over his half naked body

'You risk your life to save me!...If you die then so will I!,' she cried

Ty closed his eyes and ran his fingers through his damp hair, 'you knew what I was like...you know what I'm like...I can't change that for you Sage....being an assassin means putting your life on the line..why do you doubt me?...do you have such little faith in me?....'

'It's not that...I just don't want to lose you...I love you so much..Why can't you see that?' she questioned looking at him with a deep saddness in her eyes

'you speak of love....something...I'm learning and don't know alot of but yet you expect me to know it straight away...you say you love me but here we were only moments ago..you wanting to take your life because of love....then....I don't want any part of it....I don't want this to happen again....I don't want to be the one....the reason why you took your own life...you cannot do that to me..infront of my own two eyes....and expect me to live with the guilt of watching you take your own life because of me....right now I look into your eyes...i see the suffering of what I put you through.......It killed me more than you'll ever know.....,' he spoke coldly as he walked to the door, 'I will always look after you....,'

'Ty please....where are you going?' she questioned as she watched him walk to the door after putting on his clothes

'I just need to be alone right now....,' he whispered as he left the room

Sage looked around and noticed that he didn't grab his guns...that was the first time he left them behind

Ty walked passed everyone and then walked outside where he disappeared into the dark. Slowly he walked in and out of the shadows, and then climbed a tree and sat in it...looking back he could see the hideout clearly..the visions of what happened began clouding his mind

'Sage...,' he growled into the night...and from that moment on he supressed everything he felt, his eyes grew colder and darker than ever, 'Sage..you have shown me alot....but i can't change for you...not now...not ever....this is all i know....this is all I will be..although I will protect you.....for as long as I can...,'

Sage cried silently for a while. She sat in the corner of the room clutching her arms until they bled. How could she do that to him? How could she break down like that? She hung her head. She looked at his guns and remembered what she almost did. What had come over her? She looked at the blood on her arms. She cried even harder. She had put him through the same pain she had been in? she was going to let him blame her death on him? just as she would have blamed his death on herself. But what she had done was worse. She would have made him watch?

She shuddered as she remembered faintly what had happened. Her mind circled in pain. She cried even harder as she remembered his face? what had she done?

She stood up and looked out the window. She had destroyed everything she had tried so hard to keep. She had made her own fears become a reality. She glanced at his guns again. She couldn?t handle it anymore. She had done what she feared? she had lost him?

She picked up his guns and stared at them for a while. She remembered what he said about always protecting her. Didn?t he know that she needed to protect him as well? She looked outside again as she reloaded the gun. She lost him?

She stopped as she remembered everything he had said. She looked back outside. She didn?t want him to change. She dropped the gun in front of her as she put her hand over her face. The blood trickled from her arms onto the floor. She never wanted him to change. Taking risks was one thing, but to expect her NOT to take the same risks was another. She was an assassin too. And they were a team. She knew he loved him. She knew he was learning, but the feelings were there. He didn?t need to explain them to her. She didn?t need to have him do anything for her. She needed him to allow her to be there for him? in the same way he wanted to be there for her. She loved him? and she would die for him, just as he would die for her. He needed to know that.

She opened the window and looked outside. She looked for the darkest area, and knew he was there. She grabbed his guns. She never wanted him to change. She loved him for who he was. But he couldn?t change her either.

She jumped out the window and went out over to the trees. She walked silently. She knew she would have a hard time finding him. She stopped and she knew he was near.

?You?re not going to lose me that easily Ty. You misunderstood a lot of things.? She said. She knew he heard her?

She sat against one of the trees in the center of the grove. She knew he was around. She just didn?t know where.

?I never want you to change Ty? so why do you want me to?? she said. She looked down as she stared at his guns in her hands. ?You say you can?t change for me? I never wanted you to? so why do you expect me to change? You expect me just to let you take risks for me.? She said. She gripped his gun tightly in anger.

?Dammit Ty, I?m assassin too!!! I will protect you, just as you say you want to protect me. So why did you push me away earlier? I know you love me. So don?t you even think it?s not there. Don?t think for one second that by suppressing your feelings will make everything go away. I love you. And while I know you don?t fully understand it, I still love you.?

She looked up at the canopy of trees. She usually felt safe surrounded by them? but she felt cold and alone. She had lost him? her fears became a reality?

?I know everything about you, Ty? I know your past? I know the kind of person you are now? I know you? and I love you. I never wanted you to change for me. I?m not a selfish person, Ty. I never needed you to shower me with love? I only ask that you are there for me, the way you always have been. But? allow me to be there for you. I know you love me? you know it to. We are a team, Ty? you are no longer alone. You are no longer by yourself. I am always with you. And as a team, Ty, I need you to let me be at your side. I need to be there helping you, just as you want to help me. If you die, I will die? I don?t want to live without you. I know someday this life of ours will end. Ty heard Sage and what she had said, silently he dropped down behind her and she spun around at the sound of his feet hitting the ground which was unusal for him

'Ty...' she spoke softly as he looked at her, she saw that his eyes....were dark

'I have never tried to change you,' he spoke sounding distant

'No..then what was that back at the hideout where they held Senki?' she questioned with anger in her eyes

'That was a mission,' he replied bluntly

'A mission you pushed me out the window and fired upon me to run,' she exclaimed

'You know for a fact that that's how it has always been with me....i've always done the job alone,' he growled as he turned away folding his arms cross his chest

'I know that..but we are all a team..you and i are a team..ty why can't you see that?' she questioned, 'I never want you to change..just let me be there,'

'It's just hard...having someone....,' he whispered

'i know...but i need you to trust me enough to be there beside you,' she whispered as he turned around and looked at her

'I'll try...' he whispered as he pressed his back against the tree with his arms still folded across his chest, he then lowered his head slightly and then slid down to the ground, Sage sat beside him carefully not knowing what he was thinking

'being an assassin is easy..but being an assassin with feelings..isn't,' he whispered

'i know,' she whispered beside him, Ty never said anything else after that as he lent his head back and looked up at the sky, Sage looked at him and smiled slightly as she saw the peace in his eyes

then he broke the silence, 'Its beautiful isn't it?...the dark..the night,'

Mayhony slid up beside Syn and leaned into him placing her head on his shoulder and sighing.
"I've been thinking. That raid was a set up. Some one had to give our plans to Nicholas and those bastards."
"What do you mean a traitor?"
'Possibly...but no-one from the gang..."
"Than who?"
"An old person that I thought I could trust...I have to go look into something Syn, I'll be back."
She stood and retreived her weapons and jacket and walked into the shadows of the woods she now had them stationed in, she passed by Sage and Ty and growled.
"Get back to the house.It's not safe out here. Tell Hyo for him and his girlfriend to get off the roof they make easy targets."
She continues to walk, she came to a clearing and stopped.
"You have guts old one."
"So, you found out it was me?"
"Naturally. Why?"
"For the price on your head Mayhony."
She watched with hatred in her eyes as the old man came form the shadows, her grandfather.
"To betray your own blood for money? That's low, even for you."
"So you say love."
"SHUTUP!"
She moved forward and found her blade against the old man's
"I'll kill you you old kotcher!"
"Your young and rash. You do not think things through, are you sure you'll kill me?"
Mayhony moved swifty, spinning she slit the tender throat and smiled as her choked and gurgled for breath.
"Yes, I'm sure."
She walked back to the hous ena dstopped before the steps looking at all the others.
"Get some sleep, we train tomarrow, we're going to go after the Zeal Crystal."
Sage blinked.
"We're trying again. The last abstical should be gone now. We start retraining tomarrow, get ome rest."
She walked into the house and found Syn.
"Thank you."
She kissed him deeply and walked to her room smileing.

Hyo woke to the noise down below as did Hikaru. Hyo looked over to her, "Listen...what happened between is in the past...We can't go through that again..." Hyo said to her.

"Hyo...why can't it be how it was? We were just really good friends..." Hikaru started.

"Well what did that friendship turn into...a relationship that wasn't about love at all...That's not what I wanted." Hyo replied.

"But I do love you Hyo..." she started.

"...You didn't before though...all you wanted me for was for your own physical pleasure..." Hyo said standing. "...Maybe you should go..." he added grimly.

Hikaru stood as well, "Why? Do you love someone else? If that's the case I'll make sure you regret ever meeting her."

"No there is no one else! I just don't want what happened before to happen again!" Hyo shouted.

Hikaru grew angry, "I should have finished you before when I had the chance!"

Hyo realized what she meant instantly. "It was you who led that attack against me?!" he exclaimed. He drew two of his swords, "I can't believe you would attack me!"

Hikaru laughed maniacally, "Well, you're lucky I love you or I'd have killed you already...but now's a good a time as any!" She unsheathed her twin blades and slashed at Hyo.

He defended the strikes and knocked her down from the roof. He jumped down with one of his swords pointed down at her heart. Hikaru rolled out of the way as Hyo landed and threw two shuriken at him. Hyo dodged one and the other grazed his arm. Hikaru sprang up and charged at Hyo. Hyo hung his head and reached into his gi. He looked up at Hikaru smiling, "I'm really gonna miss you Hikaru." just as he said that, three kunai raced from Hyo's hand each landing in Hikaru. One landed in her left leg, the next in her right shoulder and the last in her stomach. Hyo ran past her at a high speed and slashed her in an unseen motion. He sheathed his sword and Hikaru fell to the ground, limp and blood rushing from her fresh corpse. "Farewell...forever....." He grabbed his things and walked back inside.

Tears came to her eyes as she looked at him. Her fears slowly washed away. She nodded in agreement as she stared up at the sky. She wasn't sure what the future held out for them... whether grim... or good. She couldn't shake the feeling that the worse was about to come. But she knew that whatever future was instore for them, she needed him by her side. She needed to be with him. She loved him with all her heart. And the thought of no longer having him by her side... scared her. But she couldn't expect him to change... she couldn't expect that. He could change everything for her... but it was the Ty she met all those years before that she fell in love with. The man she knew now... was the man her heart loved more than anything. She knew love was hard for him to feel. Especially with his past... knowing what he had been through, she knew how hard it was to have someone in his life. But she also knew what it was like to be alone... and she knew she needed him as much as he needed her. She knew he loved her... she knew in her heart. Everything he had done for her in her life... even now. She knew because he showed her each day. Whether or not he could understand fully what those feelings were, was something she never needed. All she needed was for him to allow her to be with him... all the way until the end. To whichever end that may be.

"Get some sleep, we train tomorrow, we're going to go after the Zeal Crystal." Mayhony said as they spun around.

"We're trying again. The last obstacle should be gone now. We start retraining tomorrow, get some rest." She walked away and Sage looked at Ty. She knew he wasn?t in a hurry to get back inside. She sat with him just waiting. She would never leave his side? the two of them were a team. And she would never let him be alone again. She gently placed her hand over Ty?s as she sat with him. He looked at her and she just stared into the night.

?I love you Ty? and I will stay by your side? no matter what the future may hold, I won?t leave you. I don?t expect you to change? I don?t want you to? I love you for the person you are now. I only ask that you allow me to be with you from here on out. I will never leave you alone.?

Senkai sat upright in bed. Another dream, this time he was facing Iodias again, arm gone scar on his right eye just as he heard Ty say after he returened. Everytime Iodias bested him, but this time Senkai won. But only after the rest of the band was dead at his feet. As he sat there he decided it was time to come clean, he walked down the hallway pounding on every door, calling for everyone to meet downstairs.

As everyone filtered in, Senkai stood in front of them. Finally ready to tell everything he knew...and had learned.

"We...well you guys have weakened Orion's belt significantally. I noticed many of Gervines men in Iodias compound. This can only mean that he has taken control of Gervines troop. But I noticed one of my old comrades in there as week speaking of a united Belt. So apparently Iodias is trying to unite the belt, and how better than killing not only the female assassin Gervine could not catch, but also kill the only Sojo to ever escape the belt, and the last remaining Shadow Dragon..."

"Iodias is as good as dead" Ty said "Even if he survived the wounds I inflicted his credability is as good as gone."

"Trust me Ty, Iodias is as strong as ever, he'll find away to componsate for that lost arm I'm sure, I don't know if anybody noticed but his left leg was slightly smaller? It was severed in a battle between me and him a couple years ago, he had it replaced with a mechanical leg and it hasn't slown him down a bit." Senkai went on "I have something else to tell you, I didn't bring it up before but I need to now, Iodias has some help, from the last remaining group of the belt. The Shadow Clan, they're ways are almost identical to the Shadow Dragons....So if any of us survive the next try for the zeal crystal, I'd appreciate a hand at stopping Iodias...Mayhony he will have all kinds of men waiting for us at the crystal. We're going to need a new plan." Senkai finished turning the floor over to Mayhony.

[Akieen Cloud]

Mahony tapped her chin thoughtfully.
"well you could've tlod us this MUCH earlier Senkai. I think that we all know as well as I that the clan will not live long. As for the other shadow clan, I know how to handle them. I used to be a part of them til i got to good and they cut e loose. So don't mind them. I think that we need to just rest for now and worry about all that later. We're all really tired so I think that we should turn in for the night. we'll think of something in the morning. Hyo you an Ty have first watch, me and Sage'lll relive you in an hour. Get some sleep everyone else."
She walked back towards her room and put a hand on Senkai's shoulder she leaned in and whispered.
"Even if the others won't help, you'll have me. I'll help you through it."
She squeezed his shoulder lightly than walked to her room.

Ty walked outside....his mind as far gone......his heart now at a stage where....all he cared about was gone.....and he couldn't concentrate on the job anymore...he looked at his guns..remembered what his life was like

*BANG*.......a bullet shot through his skelp....killing the memorys that haunted him...why?.....because an assassin who can't concerntrate....is an assassin who's already dead..............

"TY!!!" Hyo yelled and he looked for the smoke from the gun. He felt another bullet coming for him and just as it reached him he cut it in half with on of his swords. He followed it up with a flick of the wrist and a shuriken dropping a sniper to the cold ground below. He ran over to Ty's corpse, to see if there was any trace of life........Nothing...He stood up and spoke a short prayer for Ty. He looked up into the sky. "Sage....will be crushed..." He sighed heavily. He walked inside and woke everyone and had them meet in the living room. "I'm sorry to wake you all....but...Ty is dead..." He saw everyone's expression go from sleepy to distraut. He looked over to Sage who had taken it the worst of them all.

"Hyo please tell me you're lying....Tell me you're lying!" Sage shouted.

Hyo simply looked down and kept silent for a while, "I'm sorry Sage....I've failed you...I couldn't do anything for him...."

[Akieen Cloud]

Mahony walked outside and sighed as she saw Ty's bodt motionless on the ground.
"she shouldn't see him like this..."
Mayony walked over and placed her jacket over his body. She turned and caught Sage as she ran out the door.
"No! It's for your own good you don't see him. He wouldn't want you to see him this way. He wants you to remeber him the way he was. You know that!"
Sage sruggled for a few more minutes befre she collapsed and broke down crying.
"Syn, Senkai, take her inside and get her to her room, make sure she doesn't do anything stupid.Hyo, let's burie him."
Hyo nodded solemly and follwed Mayhony, they returned an hour later.
"This should never have happened, it shouldn't happen again" She walked in and lay down on the couch not even going to her room or to Syn. She put her face in a pillow and sobbed for only Hyo to see as he walked in through the door.

She shook within herself as the emotions were circling in her head?. She screamed as she ran for the door. Senkai and Syn had to pull her back with a joint effort.

They pulled her away, and she collapsed to the floor. She shut her eyes tightly as she started feeling cold? and empty. Senkai and Syn just watched her as she cried.

?You?re ?. All?. WRONG!!!! He?s NOT DEAD!!!?

?Stop it, Sage? he?s gone now?? Senkai said.

She screamed as the tears fell from her eyes. Syn helped her to her feet as she stood there looking down for a while.

?He wouldn?t leave me? he loves me? he wouldn?t leave me alone?? she said quietly, almost hauntingly. She walked over to the window. She looked out and dried her tears. ?He?s not gone.? She said. She looked down and saw a newly sifted soil in the distance. She stared and lost it. ?YOU?RE KILLING HIM!!? she said. She jumped out the window before Senkai and Syn could stop her. She ran to the grove and stopped. She got on her knees and tried to undig the newly dug grave. ?He?s alive!! HOW COULD YOU BURY HIM ALIVE???? she screamed, as her hands touched the soil, Senkai pulled her away quickly. She pushed past him and tried to go over to the grave. Senkai pulled her away, but she kept kicking and screaming.

?He?s gone?? he kept repeating to her. She shook her head in disbelief, but he shook her until she stopped screaming.

She looked at Senkai, and a fear she had avoided all her life, crept slowly into her mind. She glanced back at the grave? it wasn?t real? the one she loved? was not gone? he had to still be alive? she walked over shakily to the grave? she knelt on her knees and stared at it. She looked at her hands, and still felt his heart beating. She felt him near her? but it was all in her mind. He wasn?t there for her? he never would be again. She waited? she wasn?t sure what for. She had read in many stories where she would feel something? she would feel his presence if she stayed a little longer. She would feel some sort of a breeze? and she would hear a voice? and she would feel okay again? she waited for that breeze? she waited for that feeling to come for her. She waited, and waited? but nothing came. She looked at the grave and tears fell over it. She cried relentlessly.

She stared at the darkness? there was nothing beautiful about it? there was nothing peaceful about it anymore? She waited for that single warm breeze to blow? but nothing came. She felt even emptier as the time passed by.

?How could you do that to me? How could you leave me knowing that I needed you? How could you ? after everything that we shared?? Her eyes filled with tears. She looked out into the woods? it wasn?t the same place? but she remembered everything? she remembered it all, and a deep sadness filled her heart. She begged in her heart for the breeze to come? for that healing to start. But nothing came. She looked down at the ground. She placed her hand on the grave. She felt soil. She wanted to feel him. She laid her head down on the grave. She just laid there. She wasn?t the same? and she never would be again. The only one that mattered to her? that made her want to live? was gone. And the only part that was left of him was buried six feet under. The only visible trace of his life? was out of her reach. She cried in pain? she didn?t have anything left? and no amount of healing would recover the hurt she felt in her heart. She had nothing? she wanted nothing. She wasn?t the same? her heart was shattered. She closed her eyes as she laid there. She would wait until the breeze would come? she needed to feel him near? she needed to be near to him. She loved him. She heard his voice in her head? she remembered his smile? his winks? his loving words? but they would only be memories now. They would only linger in her mind. She would never hear him again? she would never see him again? and she'd never feel him again. The pain swelled inside her. She shook in pain and misery? as the emptiness inside her grew...
