Jason Ashford walked along the sidewalk near Cafe 5 to 2, the windows were smashed in and things were scattered around. The place had obviously been ransacked and Jason knew it. He continued down the sidewalk and came upon Queen Burger, the local burger joint, and like Cafe 5 to 2 it looked as though it was ransacked. Jason stopped and peered into the place, even the back of the store was busted up, and the cash registers were broken open. Aside from the two places the whole town seemed empty and whole sections of streets were either barricaded beyond belief or gouging chasms had been dug out, a chasm that if you fell in there would be no telling when you'd hit the bottom. It was spooky. Jason sat down at the curb and placed his elbos on his knees, and his head in his hands. He had come to the sleepy town of Silent Hill to visit his Grandmother and Grandfather, but when he arrived there was a thick fog overlapping the area and the area was empty. Something odd was going on in the town, but all Jason wanted to do was find his Grandmother and Grandfather. Suddenly out of the blue, or should I say gray something appeared, Jason didn't know if what he saw was actually there but it was coming near him, slowly but surely. Jason quickly got up and backed up a bit, he was against the broken glass. Jason looked behind him and picked up a large piece of glass and hid it behind his back, he looked back toward the 'thing' coming towards him, but it was already right in Jason's face. Jason let out a shriek of fright and plunged the glass shard into the neck of the creature, it yelled loudly and staggered back, Jason reached in for another glass shard and then stabbed the creature again, which yelped and staggered even further. Jason put his shoulder into the monster and knocked it to the ground, Jason didn't give any time and took off in the other direction. He couldn't even get a good look at the creature, but by what he saw it was as tall as him and that was among 6 feet, it had hallowed out eye sockets, and it's mouth was coked open like Edvard Munch's painting of "The Scream," it looked like it was skinless, and it even drew blood when he stabbed it. JAson continued running, quickly running out of breath he came to a slowed jog, he looked at a street sign and he seemed to be on BLOCH St. Jason slowed his jog to a walk and surveyed the area, around him was what looked like Balkin Church, and across from the church was Cut-Right Chainsaws, further down the street was a gas sation. Jason continued down BLOCH St., and soon found himself covering his eyes, something was shining in his eyes and it was bright. Headlights! Jason quickly made his way over to the car and looked into the open driver's side, the car was smeared with blood on the inside, Jason took a step back and brought his hand to his mouth. It was horrid and it smelled like the blood had been there for days, but he knew a car couldn't keep it's headlights on for over eight hours. Something was stange. Jason stepped foward and took a peek in the car, there was a bloody piece of paper and a cracked wooden bat, with blood smeared around the edge. Jason quickly took the bat and the piece of paper.

"This is my last diary entry. I've been in this car for well over three hours now, the batteries died in my portable television and I continue to see shadows walking around outside my car, I turned on my lights to see what it was but the shadows just ran off. I'm so scared, I keep shaking. All I have is a baseball bat to defend myself if whatever's out there gets in here. I hope someone comes for me soon."
Danielle Perkins

Jason shook his head and looked at the back window, which was smashed open. There was a sound off in the distance, much like car tires squeeling. Jason spun around and saw a large SUV speeding past him, he tried to see the driver but the car was moving too fast. At least there was someone here. All of Jason's hopes turned to dispair as he heard a loud crunching sound of metal, and then finally silence. The car had driven into a chasm. Jason kicked the tire of the car and turned around, he went to the front of the car and sat on the hood. What was his going to do?

Jason grunted as he pushed away from the car, first he should head to his Grandparents house and see what was up. By the looks of things, though, they were either dead or gone. Jason continued down BLOCH st. hardly being able to see in the thick fog that had blanketed Silent Hill, and it was strangly becoming thicker as he went on. Jason heard a footsteps to his left and he quickly brought the bat up, ready to bash in a skull or two if neccesary.

Regan scuffed the heels of her boots loudly up the streets, The fact that there was some noise comming from her was a bit more calming than her surroundings. She hadn't seen a living soul since she waltzed into town, and didn't have very high hopes that she would be seeing anyone soon.

"Maybe I should just move on to the next town" She thought to herself as she scuffed furthur along the barron street. The empty noise echoed away into the fog, then dully bounced back off the fronts of equaly empty houses. Regan paused for a moment shifting the napsack that hung off of one shoulder and clenched her hands a few times in her jacket pockets, a failed attempt to produce warmth.

"Goddamn it's cold" She muttered watching her breath float away into the mist that shrouded the town.

As she stood still her mind began to delicately pick over the day's occurences that led to this point. When she was making her way into town the sun was shining, it had to be at least eighty degrees. Treking the whole way wasn't making her much happier either, but it never occured to Regan that the absence of cars comming and going would seem odd. But as she made her way closer and closer to Silent Hill, the events just seemed to become more and more strange.
For one, the temperature dropped. A lot. She wasn't sure why she hadn't taken this as a precaution to begin with, not to mention the other signs such as the enormous crack she had encountered in the road and the abandoned cars. Thinking back now she was just currious and desperate to move on. But currious all the same.

"Carefull Reag."She mentaly reminded herself with a grin, "You know what happened when curriosity and the cat were involved."

Having given herself a short break, Regan decided that she might as well take this opertunity to find some food then clear out of town before someone else shows up. That would be a fine mess, indeed, having to explain what happened to this town, even that was beyond her imagination.

But before she could take another step she noticed a man to her right with a baseball bat, glaring at her through the Haze...he must have snuck up on her when she was thinking. This would have been all well and fine if she wasn't in a deserted town staring down a man who looked ready to beat her sensless and toss her into a ditch never to be heard from again. Regan slowly turned raising both hands into the air, and donning a slight smile,

"Nice day huh?"

Shivering slightly, Christina rubber her gloved hands against her cold bare arms, the air seemed thick with anxiety, or maybe it was just the fact that the haze and snow that had begun falling as soon as Christina had entered the city was the cause. Damn, I hate cold weather, and just what in the hell was that thing back there? She thought mentally as the street seemed to end in a sudden void but then reappear as she neared the edge of her line of vision.

A low noise jostled Christina out of her thoughts, it started off about six or seven feet away from her left and then another noise to her right. Grabbing the steak knife she'd grabbed from the gas station, she readied herself for anything. The source of noise from her left appeared in her line of sight, it was a mangy looking German shepard. It looked like one that had belonged on a K-9 team, a small whimper escaped its mouth as it neared her, but the noise from her right had disappeared and gone silent, slightly happy she leaned down and stroked the dog's head, its tounge was now hanging out of its mouth as it panted happily.

"Poor thing, what's your name?" Christina asked as she moved its collar around so she could see the tags in her flash light's beam, the tag was a small red metal bone that read Sparky. A small chuckle escaped her mouth and she looked at the dog.

"Sparky eh? And here I was half expecting you to be named something like "Killer". Well Sparky, how about you and I go find some people?" The dog nudged her leg and fell into step alongside Christina.

Feeling slightly more safe, Christina continued down the street with "Sparky", she still couldn't believe such a big dog would have such a silly name. The street signs were out of her sight so she really couldn't tell where the hell she was, "Dammit. This is what I get when I don't take my map with...SHIT!!" Christina suddenly said, she just realized that she'd left her keys in the ignition of her car and the damn thing unlocked, all of her belongings were now either gone or on the side of the road while her car was probably across the border. Letting out another groan ofanger she kicked a stone that was laying in the street down further, but instead of the satisfying sound of it skipping across the cement she heard it clank against something metallic. Walking a little more quickly, she happened to come upon an empty car, the tail lights were still on along with the headlights. Feeling some excitement, Christina reached down and tugged on the door handle to see if the door would open. It did, but as she looked in she about vomited and Sparky started to sniff but the fur on the back of his neck was standing up on end. The driver seat was bathed in blood that looked a few days old, but what caught her attention was the note. Grabbing it quickly, Christina read it and was shocked at what had happened to this young Perkins girl, wondering if she could find anything of use in the car Christina opened the back door and didn't see anything in the backseat. Deciding to try the trunk she popped in from the driver's side and opened it and found something of use. A wind breaker, happily grabbing it she threw the jacket on and quietly shut the trunk. Sparky was still sniffing the car and the ground around it, as she walked back Sparky started to walk away from the front of the car. Following the determined dog, Christina soon found herself walking down BLOCH St. the street was like any other except it was even more creepy. Gripping the knife tightly she walked towards two shadows that were conversing, but they soon looked at her.

"Hi, are you two the only others?"

Rodney jumped as a stick cracked and some small animal dashed off into the brush. He shook his head. It wasn't like him to be so jumpy. He had only just arrived, parking his car at Silent Hill's eastern border, deciding it would be nice to take a walk through the forest path. He was beginning to regret his decision. It was strangely cold, and an eerie mist spread through the entire area. The perfect set up for a slasher flick, Rodney joked to himself.

He came at long last to a paved road. The fog dominated even the street, and Rodney thought it best to stick to the edge to avoid being run over. A half an hour later, walking blindy through the mist and not having seen a single car, Rodney began to lose hope that he was even in the right place. But he could have sworn the sign had said 'Silent Hill'. Even the paths were how he remembered.

He noticed something jsut beyond the mist and jogged up to it. A long wall of bushes, and a gate leading into it. He was at the waters edge, the park. At last something he could recognize. He stepped expectantly to the gate only to discover it locked. He should have known. He leaned on the bushes, discouraged yet again.

Free-eee-eee

Rodney turned his head. A high, annoying sound echoed through the air. He could best describe it as a whistle, but it went up and down in ptch as if whatever made it was bobbing up and down. He peered through the mist. The noise got louder.

A thoroughly indescribably creatur hovered towards him, obviously the source of the whistling. It looked almost insectoid, but reminded Rodney immediately of some kind of movie monster. Long leg-like appendages hung stiffly at it's sides, and it's 'body' spun vertically in the center. Whatever it was, it looked big, nasty, and unfriendly. Rodney ran in the opposite direction, wishing he had brought a gun. Not that he even knew how to use one.

Jason felt like he was going to bash in the skull of the woman who scared him, and then not too long after that another person showed up on scene. At least he wasn't the only one around.

"So...At least you're all alive! Me? I was attacked by something! I didn't get a good look at it but it scared me half to death. I came down here and I saw this car....and the dead woman. In any case, I need to head to my grandparents house to see if they're alright. You can come with me if you wish or you can head off in your own direction...It's your choice, but I expect getting out of here." Jason explained.
"Oh, and watch out for those large chasms in the road and...whatever is lurking around out there. I honestly don't suggest fighting, but if it comes down to it a blow to the neck seems to work...if that was a neck I stabbed it in..In anycase. Watch your backs and if we decide to split up we should all meet up at Midwich Elementary School. Well...Shall we?"

Jason started down BLOCH St. to continue his journey to his Grandparents house.

Kenny had barly moved since he ahd seen the creature. It had been four hours now, but still he did not move. He was peering from the window of an old house, it was abandoned, and musty smelling. Like old people. Clasped in Kenny's sweaty palms was a metal pole. He had found it on the street days befor, and had since made use of it as a weapon. Then the sound came. It sounded like people, but in this time it was impossible to tell what the creatures were capable of. Then somthing appeared from down the street. It was a large bulgin mass of shadows and shapes, though it sounded like normal people talking. (Remeber, Kenny lost his glasses.)
"What the hell is that..." Kenny managed to squeak out, stepping backwards. The thing turned, facing the house directly.
"No- no way. They cant be coming here." He said to himself again. He ducked away from the window, taking place behind the door. Footsteps on the walk. Kenny raised the pole like a Katana, taking a battle stance for what was coming.
"This is it." Came a human-sounding voice from outside. The doorhandle turned.
"AAAHHHHH! GET AWAY!" Kenny brought the poll down on the head of a man. The man fell to the ground with a thud, followed by gasps. Now that they were up close, Kenny could see that they WERE just a bunch of people.
"Oh... shit" Kenny took a step back, trippin over a rift in the floorboards, "Oh hell... Shit sorry. Nice to... uhh... see somone else alive..." Kenny mumbled.

"Jesus Christ! What the heck?!" Jason exclaimed holding his hand in pain. "What are you doing? Just camping out here waiting to bash smething in?! Aghh.."
Jason slowly got up and looked around, the house was abandoned, like everything else in Silent Hill but even still the house looked even more strange by the coloring of the walls and everything around them. It looked rusty and bloody. Jason gave his hand a shake for the pain and stepped in, walking past the man who hit him he saw a note on the coffee table. Jason picked it up and brought it close.

The note read: "Jason. If you have arrived here and you are reading this note then you must go to the place where knowledge is your only power."

Jason laid the note down and turned to his companions.
"Looks like they aren't here. Note tells me I need to go to the place where knowledge is my only power. What is that supposed to mean?"

"A school, maybe." Christina added

"Yeah. Lets try the school. Before we go, this is your last chance to get out of here. I'm staying, I have to find my Grandparents." Jason explained, but no one left. Even the guy who hit him stayed. "Are you coming along too?"

"Yeah. I might as well. There's nothing else left in this town." The man who hit him said.

"So, whats your name?" Jason asked
"Kenny"
"I'm Jason. This here is Reagen, and Christina."
"Ah. Nice to meet you all. Oh, and Jason. Sorry for the.."
"Forget about it, I would've done the same thing."

Jason and his companions slowly left the house again, and headed toward Midwich Elementary

Rodney stumbled blindy through the impenitrable fog. He had long outrun the 'whisteling' creature, but he was scared and lost now. He had seen several parked cars on the side of the road now, but they all looked completely abandoned. He at last stopped to catch his breath and leaned on the wall of the nearest building.

After he could breath steadiily, he looked up to see where he was. A sign above the building's door read 'Midiwch Elementary'. Yes, now he remembered this place. He had passed the school several ties all those years ago. Looking about one more time for signs of anybody else, or any more creatures, he stepped inside.

He was surprised the door was open, though all the lights were out inside. He tried a light switch to no avail, and dug around in his pockets for a flashlight. Nothing. He would just have to get used to the dark.

He walked down the entrance hallway, feeling strangely cautiuos. Everything seemed normal, but he assumed the though of an abandoned town and no lights was creeping him out.

Rodney opened a door at the end of the hall, trying to make out anyhting in the darkness beyand it. Able to see nothing, he procceeded and froze. The walls, the floor, even the ceiling... all covered in red, black stains. Like blood splattered across the room that had long since dried and soaked into the plaster. This was getting weirder and weirder.

Regan moped along the back-end of their little group, hands carelessly folded behind her head as her eyes scanned each of her fellow travelers. They all seemed like they were in the same situation, just at the wrong place at the wrong time...Which was understandable, but what actualy happened to this place? Regan was dying to know what was going on, not out of an understanding to cease fear, but just her currious nature getting the better of her.

Her eyes had finaly rested upon the newest memeber of their small survivor club, the man called Kenny. He was shuffling wearily in front of her, seemingly studying the footsteps of Christina who walked in front of him. he rarely glanced up into the distance, and when he did he squinted feircely against the haze.

"Maybe he should invest in a pair of glasses" She mused inside her head, quietly sighing against the echoes of footsteps around them, none of them spoke or even looked at eachother, they all just moseyed along behind Jason who seemed to know where he was going.

The silence was killing Regan, and knowing she couldn't take much more of this, was prepared to make someone speak wether they liked it or not. Her eyes again rested on Kenny, the blonde haired man, and then to the pipe he clutched in his hands. She slowly unfolded her hands and reached out to touch his shouler.

"Hey Kenny, -" She started but was cut off when that metal pipe swung around in an arc that skimmed dangerously close to her nose. Kenny looked at her with wild blue eyes, slightly panting, no doubt that his heart was thumping in his chest.

"Whoa, easy there!" Regan took a step back and raised both of her hands calmly, this being a trademark sign of her lax nature, "What the hell has got you so spooked?"

"You don't know?" Kenny let out a short stuttered sigh that sounded something like laughter, "You haven't seen them?"

Regan lowered her hands, looking to the others who had stopped at the sudden sound of voices.

"No I haven't." Regan spat now, obviously irritated at where this conversation was going, "The only thing I see is a bunch of scared weirdos who have seen too many horror flicks!"

They all stared at her silently while she shifted the pack on her back and readjusted her hat, "This has been cute and all, but I'm taking a hike outta here. Maybe the rest of you should do the same."

"Alright," Jason said calmly, turning away from the wizened hitch hiker, "But I know that in horror flicks the ones who leave the group always die first."

And with that, the paranoid party marched off into the mist, leaving Regan behind.

"Good," She muttered under her breath, turning to the dirrection she came from, "See if I give a shit, it's not like I'm going to be caught dead in this town when real trouble shows up. I-"

A can clattered down the street startling her baddly, and farther away the sounds of glass being smashed could be heard ringing through the fog. Regan paused a minute, before hiking her pack up on her back and bitting her lip irritably,

"Damnit..." She grummbled, turning back to the way the group was headed, then setting off at a light jog, "Hey! Jason wait up for me!"

Wow, I was in a writting mood today...

OOC: Nice one there, Angelus.

The girl had rejoined the group, and they regained their weary shuffeling. The misty and delepidated buildingsa the passed were but a blur to Kenny. His knuckles went white as he gripped the pole tighter in nervousness. He couldn't belive that the girl had been here, yet had never experiance 'Them'. Kenny would never frogot 'Them'. They killed his friends. Every last one of them. His group of five friends had been trying to buy a ticket out of the hellhole, when one of those 'Things' attacked them. The thing had shoved him aside, sending him spraling. His friends were completly defensless againts the creature, some tried to run, but all failed. Kenny scarbled away as fast as he could, trying to cross the street to escape this thing. He felt the creatures gaze turn to him. Kenny's spine went cold. His head turned, and the creature charged at him. Then his hands wraped around a steel poll, he brought it up with all his strength, smashing it into the things face. He was sent flying, which was when he lost his glasses, and landed with a thud. The creature, however, had been killed. It's neck had snapped, and its blood-like-fluid dripped from its smashed in skull. Befor Kenny could complete his thought, Jason's voice came through,
"Ok, this is the place" Gazing up at the building, Kenny noticed a movment in the window, but considered it wa just his imagination.

"Okay. This is it." Jason said walking to the door. He looked into the windows on the door, it was pitch black inside, and who else knew what was inside. For all Jason there could be some blood sucking Vampire just waiting for them and further more, why would his Grandparents tell him to go "To the place where knowledge is your only power"? It was akwardly weird, but there was nothing he could do about it.

"Okay. This is creepy." Reagen muttered, slowly glancing around.

"Yeah. Sure is." Jason said, and he gave a yank at the door. It slowly swung open and Jason held the door open for everyone to get inside. After everyone went inside Jason followed.

"Yeah. Okay. It's pretty dark in here. Someone want to hit the lights?" Jason joked, looking around.

The group all felt uneasy because of the darkness and the odd sounds coming from the hallways didn't help matters any.

"Hey. Thats the office right there. Lets go guys" Jason said starting foward, he ran into something. A person. He thought.
The 'thing' roared and knocked him flat on his butt, Jason held his head and scrambled backwards.
"Everyone! Watch out! There's something here!!"

The group all tensed up and raised what makeshift weapons they had, the looked around frantically. What was there? Was it another faceless monsters that attacked Jason before!

I would have posted sooner Silph, but I didn't really have anything to say :D

And I don't really know much about the monsters in silent hill, so the following is made up.

Regan stood ridgidly still in the darkness. She didn't know what they had come upon, but some strange reason she knew it wasn't exactly.....human. She shuddered as she heard the thing shuffling around in the dark before them, making odd snuffling sound. The sound almost resembled someone with a bad head cold, trying to suck the snot back up into their nose. That must be it, it couldn't see them so it was trying to smell them out...

Regan shook this thought from her head, as the others around her began to slowly and quietly recede down the hallway, but then another panicing thought occured in her mind, she didn't have anything to protect herself with!

She had noticed that Kenny was carying that pipe before, and Jason even had that baseball bat, but she didn't have a damn thing! And who was to say they'd protect her if she was suddenly thrown to the floor and torn to peices, no, they'd run, taking the opertunity to get as far away as they could, bye bye Regan...

She clenched her fists angrily. Well that sure as hell wasn't going to happen, she was a survivor not a quiter, and she'd live through this damnit!

The creature began to turn around, as far as she could tell, and took deep sucking breaths at the wall. She decided to take this as her chance to retreat with the others, when she backpeddaled onto glass. The creature gave a startled lurch, and swung its body around in Regan's dirrection, stopping only inches from her face. It took everything the hitchiker had not to scream, and try a mad dash in the other dirrection. Yet she stood still feeling the blood draining from her face and gulped weakly as the thing inhaled around her head.

This went on for a good five minutes, she wasn't even sure if the others were there anymore, perhaps they had left without her, leave her to die since she was only a bother anyway. Regan began to slowly pray when the creature withdrew from her face and moved backwards sliding back to the room lined with blood.

Something then dawned on her, the monsters must be drawn by blood, and not smelling any, it became bored and left. She shakily sunk to her knees, feeling her hands twitch involuntarily, then slowly she turned to see if anyone was still there

Kenny had made a slow retreat, at first. Seeing the creature close in on the girls face, he bolted. Pumping his legs as fast as they would go. The pipe swinging wildly in his hands. Sweat was pouring from his brow, stinging his eyes. His coat flying in the wind. He didn't bother to read the sign of the door he opened. Nor did he bother to look around before he turned to lock it. Slideing to the floor, Kenny let out a massive sigh. He felt that he was safe. Then the noise. It was the semi-familliar wheezing and snorting of 'Them'. Turning around, his breath cought in his throat. He tried to yell, but he failed. He blindly groped for the doorhandle, turning it vainly. He remeber he had locked it. Slowly sliding back up the wall, he fiddled with the door lock. It jammed. Raising the metal pole in front of his face, he faced the creature stareing at him.

Christina watched as the creature moved towards the other girl, it seemed to be sniffing her as if she had something on her. This continued for about five minutes. Once it was over the creature turned away from Regan and plodded down the hall away from the group. Letting out a small sigh of relief, she unclamped her arm off of the dog as he started to let out a small pant but his fur continued to stick up. Still holding onto the dog's collar with her free hand, Christina walked over to Regan and kneeled down, "Are you okay??" She nodded slightly and the color started to return to her face.

After they both had gotten back to their feet, Christina walked back over towards who she thought was Jason, "Jason, I have a mini-light in my pocket, I just realized it." He looked at her. "Jesus Christ girl, when the hell were you planning on telling me? When our intestines were getting munched on??"

Feeling some anger in her she just flicked the light on right in front of his face which made him reel backwards.

"Now, do you think we should get what we need here and get the fuck out? Cause I would really feel better if I had a gun or something." And with that she fell into step with Jason, with Sparky on her left.

Jason held the mini-light out in front of the group as they walked towards the office, he scanned the area with the light which eerily lit the corridors of the school, which were stained and a scarred from what seemed like age and somewhat of a war. At least, thats how it seemed. Jason turned the door handle to the office slowly. He peered in and then quickly shut the door, he turned and held his hand over his mouth.

"Whats up?" Christina asked
"You really...don't want to know." Jason said. "Everyone, just stay out here. I'm going in there to look around. Beside, it might get cramped in there."

Jason summed up all the courage he had and quickly went into the office and shut the door behind him. There was a dead body in the room, or rather somewhat of a body. There was an arm across a desk, and a leg propped up against a chair. Jason even kicked a head as he entered the room, which was drenched in blood and gore.
Jason held his hand to his mouth and even had to swallow his vomit a few times. He started with the filling cabinet as he entered, but it was locked. He then searched a drawer next to the cabinet. Jason reeled back with his hands held to his ears.

"What the...hell?" Jason said shaking his head and looking into the drawer, he lifted a small portable radio from the drawer and looked it over.
"What was that feeling? It felt like someone was cutting my head open...Damn..I might as well keep it with me.."
Jason walked out of the office.

"Everything alright?" Christina asked
"Yeah. I don't think what we need is in there, though." Jason replied looking around. "I did find this, also." Jason lifted the pocket radio from his pocket and showed Christina.
"So?" Christina said, scrathing at her head a bit.
"Well...I don't quite know what it is exactly. It seems like a normal radio but it only plays static, and it hurt my head when I looked at it. It seems important...somehow. I'll keep it with me for now." Jason finished, glancing at the others

Christina pulled the jacket around her closer to her skin. It suddenly felt like a massive draft had entered the building. Suddenly sparky started growling again, his hackles (fur on the back of his neck) started to stand up and he leaned his upper body down, "What's wrong with him?" Jason asked, but he was answered quickly because above the dog's low and continous growling a small clink, clink, clink, could be heard; shining the light down the hall the group was freaked. Little mini knife wielding monsters started down the hall towards them, backing up and grabbing the dog by his collar Christina motioned for the others to follow suit. As they continued walking backwards to the entrance Christina thought they should at least leave the building and go to a gun shop or something like that.

"Jason, there are creatures in here that need a good shot in the face from a shotgun, isn't there like a gunshop or something here??" Jason looked a little puzzled and then a look of "duh" spread across his face, "Yeah, there is a gun shop only a few blocks from here. I think if we hurry we can get a few things and come back."

The group left the school and headed down the street, hoping to find a shop with either guns or more weapons. It was much to dangerous the traverse the halls of the school without weapons, an with only two people with weapons it was actually pointless. Jason led the group down BRADBURY St. and they ironically came up on a gun shop, the windows were busted it and the bars over the window had apparently been bent apart by something. Someone had gotten in. Jason walked to the door and pulled on the handle. It was locked. He walked over to the window and slowly started climbing, as he got in something flew past him and out the window. Jason shrieked in fright and fell backwards. The rest of the group giggled at him, but tried to stifle it. Jason got up and into the window again, when he entered he dropped down onto the floor and looked around. Guns everythwere! There was something wrong with them, though. A good majority of them looked like they had taken a few swings from a sledgehammerm or stomped on by a rhino, they were totally useless! Jason rushed around and check the cabinets, he found 3 boxes of handgun bullets and a small first-aid pouch for minor scratches and cuts. He looked around more vigorously, he was determined to find a gun. He looked in all of the gun cabinets and finally, at the last portion of the gun cabinet lay 2 pistols in an unbroken case. Jaon silently apologized from breaking the glass, and elbowed it in. He lifted the guns out from the case and pocketed them. Now they had some firepower, though he had only the slightest clue of how to use them. Press a button to drop out the clip, load a new one, and then pull back on the slide if he was correct. Or was it only pull back on the side if you haven't loaded it? Ither way he needed to figure it out.

"I got some firepower" Jason said as he exited the store. He lifted the guns from his pocket and showed the group. One was a .45 of a kind, and the other was a Beretta looking gun. Something that looked like a gun he had used when he had played this one game called Resident Evil. At least they had some kind of gun.
"Now we can head back to Midwich.."

"Are you sure that there aren't any other guns that are usable?" Christina asked with a look of doubt, "Because if there are and you're just holding out..." At that Jason quickly motioned for her to look in the store, she did and was astonished. All the good stuff had been ruined, an uzi lay in pieces, a revolver was thrown around and missing the chamber, and the shotgun had been snapped like a twig. A small whimper came from her parted lips as she backed out the window and then she kicked the window with her foot in anger.

"Son of a bitch! I was hoping for uzis and rocket launchers, and maybe a grenade or two to round things off." With that she grabbed one of the pistols and looked at it with interest, it had been loaded previous to Jason finding it, "Were there any ammo boxes laying around?" He brandished three boxes and she grabbed one, "Let me see that one." She grabbed the Beretta from him and slapped in the ammo clip and handed it back to him.

"Well, I guess you're right, lets go back to that hell hole..er. School and kick some monster ass."

Regan sighed comicaly at Christina's newfound ambition to return to the school, she had honestly had enough and was perfectly content not returning there. But she did feel a bit safer now that firearms were involved, and by the looks of the gun shop it didn't seem like these creatures knew how to handle a weapon of that calibur themselves.

"alright, so we're going back..." She picked up the .45 and aimed at an imaginary target in the distance, grinning as she noted that Christina was doing the same, hell hath no fury like a woman with a gun. She popped a fresh clip into the firearm, more or less knowing how it was done by watching Tv and movies, "I'll take this if you don't mind, Jason."

She gave him a quirky wink, giving the pistol a spin like the cowboys used to do, but nearly ended up dropping it anyway...

With a refreshened spirit, and a new weapon to help her, Regan turned torwards the school, ready to blow away anything that stood in her path.

OOC: Sorry it took so long, I was waiting for somthing that never happened...

Kenny thought he was starering death in the face. The creatures wheezing grew louder as it came closer. Kenny put his full weight on the door... preying that it would open... the creatures must have identified its prey, becouse it snapped rigid, standing as erect as it could. Kenny gulped loudly... and the door behind him was thrown open. Kenyn fell backwards, out of the door. Franticly, he got to his feet, and slammed the door closed behind him. The lock snapped into place, as Kenny relaxed. His metal pipe was still in the room, so it was of no use to him, should he encounter another... then his mind stumbled over a thought. Who had opened the door? Looking around franticly, Kenny saw nothing. He thought he saw the wisp of a black cape dissapearing around a corner, but disregarded it as imagination. Knowing it was his only lead, Kenny took off in that direction. He came around the corner... empty. Kenny let out a sign of relife, but secretly he was disapointed. He was hoping that the person who had saved him, assuming it was a person atall, would be there. Well, since the others had pretty much abandoned him, Kenny decided to get the hell out of this... abomination of a town. As he stalked, nervously and weakly, out into the street, he wondered if he was going to die in this hellhole. He wiped this thoguht from his mind. No! This was not the time for negative thoughts... but... maybe... No! Turning his head, he closed his eyes, and silently stalked off into the mist.

OOC: Ok, just to let you know, he is walking in the other direction from the rest of you guys, time for me to go solo! For the time being, anyway!

Jason lifted the pistol and aimed at anothing in particular, he placed his finger over the trigger and imitated blowing somethings head off.

"Alright. Lets go back to the school...Maybe we can uncover more there." Jason said, and turned around. The group made their way back down BRADBURY st. and towards the school, as they rounded the corner to see the school a eyeless, skinless monster pounced on Jason and took him to the ground, the gun flew from Jason's hands and went sliding. Jason pounded the monster in the side of the head with his fist, but the monster brought a clawed hand down into Jason's shoulder.

"Aughh!" Jason yelled, bashing at the monster harder. "Get him off me!"

The group looked around quickly, but Regan was quick to the trigger and put a full clip into the monster before it managed to fall off of Jason, and he just slumped against him. Jason forced the monster off of him with his feet, and slowly got up with his hand to his shoulder. Jason forced the monster over on its back and looked at it, it twitched a bit and then decided to come back to life. Jason ended his flailing attempts at life with his foot on its face. When Jason's shoe came down hard on the monsters head, blood shot from under the sole of his shoe and there was an unnerving 'crunch' when he did. Jason turned to the group and let a smile creep across his face.

"Thanks" Jason said, holding his wound.
