sky
"Yes I found someone and it looks like you could use the help of the old man now couldn't you. "Yes I could.Of course I speak for everyone when I say we still need a place to stay the night." "They have that here also" So when everyone got there they got all their supplies that they would need for their trip and set off to find the manager. As soon as they found him and asked him for rooms they went back to the bar and found that there was gaurds looking for someone. Instantly everyone was looking around at the gaurds. All of a sudden Kierra reckognizied one of the gaurds. He was an elf just like her.Of course he was her ex boyfriend so she instantly hid at the back of the group. He had never got over the break up so now he thinks that they were still going out so she slipped to her room and was not seen for a while.
demonchild781
Shero felt restless and decided to try and find Arturios to tell him about the other men she had discovered. This tavern seemed a little crowded for her taste, especially with all the guards running around. She wondered who they were looking for. Shero tucked her hands into her leather jacket pockets, wondering about the tavern with no sign of Artruios, but she did find Kamui. She smiled at the thought of him wanting to help, they didn't he's character around. Being all about business might bring the spirit of the mission to a horrible down and they could disasterous. "I see you've followed," she hid the smile that she felt creeping onto her face as she approached Kamui. "I'm looking for an old man by the name of Arturios. You wouldn't have, by chance, seen him have you?"
lil kitsune boy
'Arturios? Can't say that I've heard of him.' he said, the smile faded a little, but immediately returned, 'But, maybe I can help you find him. What does he look like?'
demonchild781
"He's a short old man, dressed in red and black and I think he's got an amulet around his neck. You'll know who he is as soon as you see him." Shero wanted for a nod from Kamui before she slid past him to wander through the crowd again. That's when she caught sight of the strange man that had entered the "La Tavern" just before the whistle had sounded. She caught the man's eyes for a brief second and her insides locked with the surge of something far too farmilar. She found herself come to a brief stop before she remembered the tast at hand. She drew her head down and passed by the stranger before bringing her head back up to look for Arturios.
Cambrian_Explosion
When Reaf saw the guards, he had little doubt in his mind what they were here for. It was kind of a giveaway that two of the toughs he beat up happened to be tagging along with them, and were obviously scanning the crowd looking for someone. Reaf faded back, smoothly gliding through the crowd towards the back. He knew that the men probably told their own story, and had their injuries to back it up. Reaf figured that unless he could get someone to back him up, he would land in a heap of trouble at least, and at worst hold up the whole group. He dropped to the back of the room and scanned for his companions, preferably Arturios, whom the guards would most likely believe. The old psion would back him up as long as he told the truth, Reaf felt sure of that. Oh, he'd get a good talking-to about next time ensuring that the man with the broken knee got proper medical care, but he'd earned it. Where is that old man anyways? Reaf wondered. Just then, a stranger tapped him on the shoulder. Reaf turned to look at him. The stranger looked a bit scruffy, was barefoot (and was probably his habit, as evidenced by the callouses, mud, and long toenails), and had a piercing gaze that could probably see through walls. "Trouble with the law?" he asked casually, as he nodded at the guards. "What sharp eyes you have," Reaf said as he looked the man over. Reaf decided he could probably trust him, despite his rather wild looks, and answered "I got in a fight with a few local toughs at the Mongoose Tavern. It's my word against theirs who started it, and they have injuries to show. And yes," Reaf answered the unasked question, "they started it. They made a few comments I was meant to overhear, and when I didn't rise for the bait, one tried to attack me from behind." Then Reaf noticed that Arturios was approaching him, and from the displeased look on his face, he had heard or guessed that Reaf had gotten in trouble.
DemonsLover316
That same scent wafted by him as Jarod noticed, the female pass him by without so much as an acknowledgement. he could have picked her out of a crowded room, and wasn't quite sure just why yet. He absentmindedly adjusted the silver armlet on his right arm, the black jewel having a sharp luster to it at the moment that went unnoticed. ~All in due time~ he promised himself. He glanced back at the one standing before him. He noticed that his attention was no longer on him, but someone older and stockier approaching. Something about the old man told him he was not to be trifled with. He remained quiet as he approached, only half paying attention to what was going on. His main focus was still that female...but if accompanying this group held any interest for her, nothing was going to keep him from indulging his curiousity. He crossed his arms and remained quiet as the old man reached him and the other.
demonchild781
Shero suddenly saw Arturios heading towards Reaf and the other stranger. She took a sharp detour and headed straight for them. She couldn't remember what she was suppose to talk to Arturios about, but she knew she was still looking for him for some odd reason. "That's Arturios," Shero pointed at the old man, Kamui looking over her shoulder to see where her finger was directed. He nodded when he took the man's sight in and both made their way through the crowd.
Daemos
"Well" Arturios said as he approached the group, "What have we found? I see some new faces... and a potion shop" Arturios gave the newcomers the once over before turning his attention back to the group "I don't have any more voidstone amulets on me, but They seem to sell them here," Arturios motioned to a display in the window of the shop. "However It seems we are short on time my friends, I have recieved a message from my friend in Windbreaker, saying that the mines are under siege by Baaloth. We must leave Imediately. You two," he pointed to the newcomers "are welcome to join us, but we must leave now." Arturios paused and walked over to Reaf before saying "And YOU owe me... your lucky the only tavern that sold Dragon's Blood Ale was next to the sherrifs office, and that I overheard the commotion... don't let it happen again, erasing memories is a tiring process..." Arturios, motioned to the guards and men who appeared to be confused and lost, then he turned and began to walk towards the towns north gate. 2010DigitalBoy
The team of fighters quickly left the tavern and started down the road in this pattern 1 11 111 1111 with Arturos leading the way. The team began to head down the long path and everything seemed to be going without a hitch. Some small monsters came from the sides but the Cathsheens always made easy work of them with theyre claws. The ran into a stray Cartiopter that tried to kill Arturos but Kyohen was quick to block it while Raef severed its head. As it grew closer to night more fierce monsters would attack and the Cathsheens would need help. When the sky was filled with stars Arturos reccomended that the set up camp. DemonsLover316
Jarod looked around at the rag tag group. After they set up camp, he walked up to Arturios, and sighed, "I'll take first watch...I don't sleep much anyway." Without waiting for a reply, he walked to the outskirts of their small camp and climbed up a small rock formation to have a better vantage point. He took a seat and drew his blades casually, his arms resting on his knees. Occasionally his gaze would follow the various members of their group, his eyes spending a bit more time on that one female that attracted him to follow in the first place. Then his eyes would shift back to their surroundings...
Daemos
Arturios leaned back against a rock and lowered the hood of his cloak over his eyes, he would get no sleep tonight. The fear he had was that the siege around Windbreaker Peak had sent out rear patrols, sure they had defeated a shadow demon and his minions... but a well armed patrol of shadow-kai would be another matter entirely. even with the new additions to their group, he doupted they could afford to meet Baaloths forces head-on. then their was the siege itself, the others appear to not raalize that that meant the paths up the mountain would be blocked by Balloth's Army. In essence they were behind the enemy's lines. However Arturois knew of atleast one path up to the camp... the old Ithilium tunnels on the mountain's southern face joined with the newer voidstone mines near the mine camp at the summit. The tunnel, however, had been sealed years ago... Sighing Arturios pulled out his pipe and lit it, breathing in a deep draft. He returned to his brooding with new vigor, He had to figure out how they were going to make it to Phaelos and the camp... "Jarod, isn't it? How good are you at fighting?" Arturios asked looking towards the newcomer who had offered to take the first watch
sky
"I am great at fighting." He said as kierra was laying there not trying to easedrop but was anyway. Finally she had to say something because Zaion had been bugging her all day asking her why she ran off so fast. "Alright fine." She said out loud so everyone could hear her. Feeling embarassed she told everyone that she used to go out with one of the guards and that he never got over the break-up.Everyone was curios to know why I went out with him in the first place. Quite franclly I didn't know why I went out with him in the first place.
DemonsLover316
**I'll speak for my own character** Jarod glanced down the rock face to Arturios. "I haven't encountered anything thus far that I would consider a real fight." His demeanor changed slightly, as a sinister grin crossed his face, and Delos glowed a deep crimson, "But I've never been bested." He flipped Delos around his wrist and slammed it into the rock face, the blade piercing the stone as if it was soft mud. "I think I'll be able to handle myself. Its the rest of you I'm worried about," he said glancing at the rest of the group.

2010DigitalBoy
Kyohen had been the only one awake and had heard everything. He jabbed his sword through the rock Jared rested on, tapping his neck with the edge of his blade. "Maybe if youd stop acting cocky and listen youd hear that." Kyohen stated. Jared was quite irritated. Arturos let out a small sigh and shook his head. "For your information I already heard it, I was trying not to blow our cover." Jason answered. Suddenly A lage ogre came strolling out from the trees. Kamui, Jared, and Kyohen all turned to see the beast as it lifted a large club. " That cant be good." Kyohen stuttered. demonchild781
Shero raced out of her tent, her sword in her hand and her shoulders bare without her coat. The others rushed to the load noise from the beast that was approaching, all ready with their weapons. Shero grabbed her amulet and found that their was nothing. She creased her eye brows and squeezed the stone firmly. "That's strange," Shero whispered to herself. "The amulet always reacts to anything that has anything to do with the Wraith, why wasn't it now? "Hey, I don't want to run the show or anything, but I think there's something not right here!" Shero shouted over the sound as every one took a position.
Daemos
Arturios looked over his shoulder towards Shero as he readied his staff, "That would be because our foul odored friend here isn't a wraithbeast at all, but a species of homo giagantius commonly called, ogre, he is as much a setient being as the cathsheen." Arturios then had to dodge a blow from the ogres massive fist "However, as I can see from his garb..." arturios pointed to the symbol of a dragon claw on the Ogre, "This particular on is in the employ of Baaloth, so I would suggest we kill him before our location is revealed to the main forces! the open wild is no place to face the Shadow-Kai..." he then turned to Kamui "And my young friend we are going to attempt to seal the gate from which the Wraithwind flows, this ogre... " Arturios caught the club with his staff and continued as he struggled with the behemoth "Is in the employ of Baaloth, the demon who seeks to use the Wraithwind to destroy the world..." Arturios's eyes begain to glow as he struggled with the oversized bruiser, evidence of his psionic talent appearing to the others for the first time... as they watched his voice echoed through their minds A little help here! OOC: Im going to start a post in arena uderground for Kaydaeryn so I can get everyone's input without having to guess from the posts. check it out...

2010DigitalBoy
Kamui hit the ogre directly in its side, but it barely broke the skin, and there was no blood. "What the hell?" He muttered as he slid his blade free of the ogres rock solid shell. Arturos' eyes grew darker and darker as he held of the club. Jared quicly ran in and stabbed the ogre directly in the stomach. It let out a howl as it redirected its club toward the nearest person. Zaion quickly jumped up on the club and ran down toward the things head. She jumped onto his shoulders and started clawing at it, but it didnt seem to notice. Kierra quickly shot an arrow into its eye, and blood poored out as it frantically struggled to get Zaion of his head. Kyohen then ran in and stabbed it in the leg. 2010DigitalBoy
Zaion quickly jammed her claws into the empty eye sockets, piercing directly into the ogres brain. To make sure it stayed dead, Reaf quickly ran up and stabbed it through its neck. The monster let out one final houl and then died. It took Reaf, Kyohen, and Jared to get the sword out of its rock-like neck. The adventurers quickly went back to bed and Jared went back to his post. "Oh, no you don't" Reaf stated as he walked up to Jared,"I know you don't sleep much but you have to get SOME rest, or you'll be pointless. I'll take the next shift." Jared sighed and rose. The rest of the night went off without a hitch, and the adventurers packed up to hit the road again.....
Daemos
Arturios began to explain his plan as they walked, "My, friends... our approach to Windbreaker should take another week assuming all goes well. There is, however, the problem of Baaloth's Army, which should not be taken lightly. The well known paths up the mountain will undouptedly be blocked by the siege. Thus when we get to the foot hills around the peak, we must turn towards the ancient Ithilium mines on the southeastern side of the mountain. If my hunch is correct, then Baaloth will not have guarded it, as it was abandoned while he was still imprisoned. If my hunch is wrong... it is still the safest way, simply because of the ... creatures ... that live within the mine"
DemonsLover316
Jarod began to walk slightly to the back of the group keeping some distance between him and the last person. He didn't like authority. Plain and simple. And he was growing tired of Reaf constantly taking control. He didn't know Jarod. Otherwise... He fingered one of his blades, Cylos, rolling the handle around his wrist. The blade began to grow with a faint blue aura that he couldn't really explain...and almost ignored. His weapons had been acting strangly lately, not that he ever knew that much about them to begin with. They were "gifts" as was the silver armlet on his right wrist. The black gem within seemed to have lost its luster recently, growing cloudy. The voidstone that he had picked up miles back, seemed like a burden on his shoulders. He tucked it under his shirt for now. He hadn't slept. Did they not believe him when he said he didn't need it then? There was just something about this group...they seemed too confident. Like there ws absolutely nothing that they could not handle. Well he knew better. As did Arturios, but it would have been unwise for it to be said that some may not make it back alive. He kept his thoughts to himself as his nose twitched, picking up that familiar scent. He alterred his direction slightly so that his pace put him several feet behind the one that he had heard being called Shero. He closed the gap quickly, and was about to say something when... Daemos
Arturios lowered his staff to block Jarod's movement and glared at him intently "Go back to your bedroll Jarod; I would appreciate it if you kept your interest in Shero to yourself. You may be an accomplished fighter, but I am a Psion with many years of experience past yours, and I would hate to have to erase the memories of a person who will be invaluable to our quest. I understand that you don't need sleep, but the idea of working as a team is to share the duties. Or let me put it another way, you may not need to sleep, but she does... ?Arturios motioned to Shero "... she is a mage, and very susceptible from drain by the Wraithwind... it?s important that she rest. So I will say again return to your bedroll" Arturios stood daring Jarod to speak
2010DigitalBoy
Kyohen's mind trialed off to Reaf. That poor guy... its too bad hes such a heavy sleeper. He's a great fighter , but he'll be of no use if he's always asleep. In fact, he'd never have woken up if it hadnt been for Kyohen falling on top of him and startling him half to death. As far as Kyohen was concerned, the weaklings could go off and die. Jarod was strong, but Kyohen didn't like him. He looked over at Arturos, "I wonder just how strong he is," Kyohen thought. It Arturos' psionic power was as strong as he thought, he could take down any monster.
