Guest Geno
I Like to Discuss Some Anime That Contains Female Combat. You know the Gun and Girls action oppose to the mystical magical girls. I am open to both but prefer the more realistic kind. Both Series and Original Video animation! Whether the hero is a female... or the star (male or female) is taking on female bad girls. Some of my favorites it which you have female combat stars are.... "Najica" --- A secret agent who goes on missions to capture female androids with the help of one little girl who is too a female android. "Agent Aika"--- Lot of fan service in that series, but the just of it has her taking on the evil Mr. Hargen and his all female army as they plan to cleanse the world and repoulated with those women.. "The Virgin Fleet" ---- Story of a bunch of women flying world war two era bi-planes to try a distroy and evil enemy. "The Dirty Pair" A female private dectective and her funny little girl side kick witch a nack for explosives Like I said I am particulaly interested in more realistic Anime, but and open to all female armed series. Evil female gangs or army, Policewomen, female secret agents. Just so long as you have the action and so sort of combat it in.I have heard of some possible ones but I have no detail.....Here are just a few. "Cowboy Bebop"?, Maimi Guns?, Tank...something, Anyway if you know some title and the detail, I would love to here about it. Thank you so much Geno
Dagger
Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 was the first series that came to mind when I read the title of your thread. It has decent animation, great characters and a solid plot. This show is also currently being re-released at an extremely low price, so if you haven't seen it yet, I strongly advise you to rent or buy the first set of DVDs. The Read or Die OVA is a bit more recent. It's short and quirky, with fluid action sequences, strong shoujo-ai undertones and very attractive, voluptuous females. One of the main reasons I like ROD is that it features plenty of fanservice but doesn't insult the viewer's intelligence. The main characters make a great team, and the whole thing is so lavishly animated that it looks almost as good as a theatrical film. ~Dagger~
PWNED
"The Dirty Pair" A female private dectective and her funny little girl side kick witch a nack for explosives Geno
I belive that when you said Dirty Pair you were actually thinking about Gunsmith Cats because neither Yuri or Kei liked explosives although Kei liked guns. And as I always say: It is the original Girls with Guns anime because I am fairly sure that It came out before the original Bubblegum Crisis. There is also the Dirty Pair Flash OVA although it doesn't really have the charm and wit of the original.
Guest Geno
Hi Dagger! Thanks alot I will definitely get the re-released version of Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 if you say is is cheep and worth the try. You are correct the more real the action is the better I like it, though I am open to all suggestions in this catagory. Also Daermon_Nashabe thank you for to. You are correct. I was or should have been refering to Gunsmith Cats as the one with the female bounty hunter/detective with her adorable female side kick with a nack for bombs and explosives!. I would love to hear more....about titles that have female combat in them. Especially the "gun and girls" genre. or better yet those animes that may have a large groups of female combatants like Agent Aika, or Virgin Fleet, though it is not necessary. Is this any good. Miami Guns? I also recall one called something like "This is your police force???" about the violent adventures of some unformed police women?
