Do you try to go by your name

I was just having a thought, which came to me five minutes ago. Most people have their display name after something famous. The question is, do you ever try to act like the person that your name is after. I've tried for a while to act like Captain Jack Sparrow, savvy? How about you guys?

Heh, since I made up this name by abbreviating my famly members' names and tacking my own initials onto the end, I'm not obligated to fulfill any sort of standard. I'm known best for my seamless concoction of professionalism, enlightenment, satire, and all around unorthodoxy. You can say I've made a name for myself. Three years of diligent indifference to social normality has earned me this.

No i don't think people act like the name of themselves here. My newly ordered screen-name 'Reise' will be arriving soon, haha. But does that mean i shall act like Rammstein songs, i most certainly hope not.

But it all depends, what if you act all those ways anyway. Say i was an extremley polite person, giving out great manners and respect. And i had the screen-name St. Anger, then people would think i am generally agressive and wear black all of the time like some sort of..moooooooooosher, haha.

To be absolutely honest I'm actually not a hundred percent on where I got my latest username from. I think I chose it on a bit of a whim a few months ago in an AIM conversation with James but the reason behind it eludes me.

The obvious answer would be to say it's from the WWF (or whatever it's called now) wrestler, however I'm almost sure that that's not where I thought it up. I had a school teacher called Mr. Kane so it's possible the name came from there, it's also possible it's a variation on the name Cain from the Bible.

Perhaps in the end it's all three but Kane I am, and Kane I shall stay.[/SIZE]

Hmm, do I try to go by my screen name? My screen name is my nickname and sometimes, especially on myO, I joke about being a panda but that is about it. I have been on message boards where people have adopted the "personality" of their screen name. Most of those seem to have very agressive posts and find their accounts banned fairly quickly. I assume they are doing this as a way to expressive themselves in a way they can't in their everyday life.

Well, there are a lot of people in the world who have my name, there's about seven people in my school alone, so it just plain baffles me to think of how many people in the world go by the name k- sorry. To get back to my point, however, it may or may not be a good idea to go about the internet, or even Otakuboards, throwing your name around, for a few reasons, many of them are self contained and fairly self explanatory. Besides, I just though of this name after staring at the blank, white wall behind my computer for a while.

My penname for my Inuyasha fanfics on fanfiction.net and mediaminer.org are Black-Moon-Goddess. So, in a way, I do act like my name. ^_^;;;
