Discuss First RPG: 'Twelve Sign Story"

Umm...hi, guys. I've been watching this board for a little bit, and I just decided to actually join. I've never actually made an RP before, but I've been writing for a long time and I've been into anime for quite a bit. So...uh...here's the idea

'Twelve Sign Story'

In essence, this is a Samurai RPG, with a story based around the old legends of the Eastern Zodiac (Horse, Dog, Rabbit etc.). I wanted this to be fairly realistic (if not historically accurate), but I hit a snag. I've got the full story worked out (I'm probably going to make it into a manga), so I was wondering if I could fudge the story into "mangas," little episodes in the story, so I can more easily manage the plot and such. Would this work?

If you are going to make it into a story or post the story itself, make a thread there. If you are going to make it into an RP, think about the story line a bit more, and after you get all of the bugs out, go to the [URL=http://www.otakuboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=48]Adventure Inn[/URL] . There, you can make a sign-up thread and let people sign up.

It sounds like a good idea, story or RP wise...I think that some of the RPs here SHOULD be stories :laugh: . Good luck and I hope I helped out a little! ^-^

There are things to consider. If you want to have the story go exactly as you plan, then do as venge says and post it in the OB. However, if you'd like to see how other people would help write your story with you, then make it an RPG.

Among other things, the Eastern Zodiac has appeared numerous times and has always been something different. People will always read what you put though. A good idea is to post it as an RP and slowly guide the story in the general direction you want it to go. That way, everyone gets a voice.

I hope this helps to an extent. I'm only 13 and already using words like extent! Hah!

As for the images in a RP idea, of course you can. New ideas are what attract people, so go crazy. ^^
