Yami Marik
I think that either Rumiko Takahashi or Kazuki Takahashi are the best, what about you? Ja Matte Ne, ~Matsuo~ ;)
Solo Tremaine
Yami Marik, please try and add more detail to your posts, especially if you're intending to start a thread about a specific subject. Give examples of what the aforementioned anime creators have done and why you like them to give others an opening to actually discuss, for a start. Lists of good anime creators aren't good enough, unfortunately.

EVA Unit 100
Hayao Miyazaki. IS THIS EVEN A QUESTION!?! No matter how ridiculous Rumiko Takahashi can get, no matter how depressing Hidaki Anno is, no matter how much brilliance Shinichiro Wattanabe can put into his work, Miyazaki, with his beautiful artwork and master storytelling that can handle everything from the cute (Totoro, Kiki) to the funny (Lupin, Porco) to the adventurous (Laputa, Spirited Away) to the epic (Nausicaa, Mononoke) and always turn out great, just can't be beat! Godelsensei
Stick another piece of birchbark in the hat for Miyazaki Hayao-sensei. The man's a god of animation and I think my head would a splode with excitement if I ever even got to look at the guy from within a hundred meters, IRL. He produces consistantly well-plotted, well-charactered films that appeal to just about every one who hasn't decided to screw their opinion against any one of them to begin with. And Ashitaka's hot. : O
Otaku Princess
Miyazaki is good, but my favorite is the man who made Akira, Katsuhiro Otomo. He created the manga, I have no idea as to who put the movie together(maybe someone here could help me out?). I rented it once and was nearly tramatized. I just wasn't prepared. But now that I think back on it... It was quite good. The dubbing was 'ish, but thats not the original creators fault. I also likeToshihiro Kawamoto's work on Cowboy Bebop (The Movie). It was VERY well done. Nearly flawless in my opinion. I had never really liked CB untill I saw the movie, and now I'm hooked. Edit-- I actually favor the work production manager Hisamune Mizoguchi did on Sailor Moon. The uncut versions, originals. I'm just a softie for Sailor Moon
2010DigitalBoy
Yuichi Kumakura. Creator of King of Bandits Jing. The most creative manga Ive ever read. Its to cool for words. Just reading it I often wonder, how does he come up with this stuff? How on earth could he possibly think of anything so deep, then let it pass in 2 seconds to reveal something deeper. From a city of theives to a city of time, Yuichi makes wonders.
Dagger
I'm not really sure what we're trying to compare here. Hayao Miyazaki is a famous director (often called Japan's Walt Disney) who deals primarily with beautifully produced theatrical films. Rumiko Takahashi is an insanely popular manga-ka whose series have spawned numerous anime. Anyway--on the manga side of things, CLAMP obviously deserves a mention; I'm not personally a huge fan of their work, but the anime based on CLAMP manga are often very good. I'm actually shocked that no one has mentioned Satoshi Kon. For someone so young, he's astoundingly talented and flexible. His movies (which include Perfect Blue, Millenium Actress and Tokyo Godfathers) are brilliant, sensitively directed and touch on a wide variety of different subjects. Moreover, he successfully "crossed over" by creating Paranoia Agent, a recent television series with a deviously twisted storyline and extraordinary production values. I truly admire this director's versatility. ~Dagger~
Delta
Anyway--on the manga side of things, CLAMP obviously deserves a mention; I'm not personally a huge fan of their work, but the anime based on CLAMP manga are often very good.
The studio that released Cardcaptor Sakura and Yami no Matsuei? Ah, yes. They are good. They're so good that their version of YnM's Asato Tsuzuki looks way better that the manga-ka Matsushita Yoko's Tsuzuki. Falling cherry blossoms, flowing hair, good-looking men, you name it! They can make it look better. Love and Peace! :love2:
Will2x
Whoever created Inuyasha. [b]Will2x, this simply isn't sufficient. This post is far too short. ChibiHorsewoman
This is a bit of a toughie since there are a few manga ka who have amazing manga that never become anime then there are others who have their manga characters come to life. Miwa Ueda (Peach Girl) Is a pretty amazing writer. I loved the drawings and the story in Peach Girl. I really got into how Momo was feeling and I felt sorry for all the crap she had to put up with. I felt the same way when I read Mars by Fuyumi Soryo. I really felt that at times I was part of the story. The most intense part was when Rei began uncovering how his mother died. Being able to get into a story an identify with characters in the manga (or manwa ) is what I think makes a good artist. Of course if you want to go by amounts of translated manga and anime I'd have to go with people like Watase Yu and Rumiko Takahashi along with the women of Clamp. Watase Yu has manga that has the ability to go from comic to tragic and not seem to out of place. Plus her character's deaths are real tear jerkers. So there are my choices and reasonings.
