Guest erifpyro
When I scan a hand drawn pic into my computer, and go over it with line art in photshop 7.0, it always seems to get little jaggies. Sometimes they are noticable and sometimes they are not. Would it be something with the size of the drawing? I have seen some awesome comp drawn pictures, and I would love to fix whatever I'm doing wrong. Any help would be great, thanks. :help:
Delta
Line art? You mean you actually trace your drawing with the Pencil command? *whistle* There's your problem. I suggest you do the art with heavy black pens. Scan, open with Photoshop, convert to Grayscale and fix the Levels until only the white background and black ink art are visible. Quick and easy. Love and Peace! :love2:
lavonia
The Quick and Lazy Method There are many ways to get those lines smoother, so I'll just suggest one technique. A quick and simple one since I don't like to spend a lot of time on line art. Depends on the style of work you're scanning as to what works best. Step 1. Scan it as a black and white drawing. In my example, I used a standard pen for inking. The edges are very rough, but they clean up easily. Iusually scan at a 300 DPI scale. It's grainy, but the lines are thick so they clean up nicely.
