Brice lowered his head, he didn't exactly like to get rejected but with Storm he'd get that more than often; the girl seemed tougher than boot leather. The fact for now was that Brice wasn't going to get it so easily, already, he was the "butt" of the group. He obviously wouldn't be the MVP when it came to group conversations though, really, so far he was the nicest of the pair; never really insulting anyone but Gammamon and she deserved it. Yet, the fact of the matter was that Brice still wouldn't be accepted as a Chosen just simply because he was too different; and like Gammamon said, too stupid. He gave out another sigh as he sat down a flatrock, not even bothering to look at anyone else in the group and feeling a little bit lonely.

Gammamon...well, lets just say she hit it off well with the group or at least Magnadramon hit her with a harsh blow; seemingly to shut her up. She'd have to be destroyed if you wanted her beak shut because Gammamon was always talkative. The thing about her is her honesty, if you ever want an honest opinion, go to Gammamon because it doesn't matter how harsh her opinion is she'll tell you about it and won't care if her opinion hurts your feelings. She did pick a time to be quiet, not because she was scared of Magnadramon or anyone else but just because it was just time to eat; she was STARVING! She attacked the food like a wild monster, well, wild digital monster and commenced with the destruction of the pears; birds loved the taste of an apple or a pear. "YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM!", Gammamon muffled with her horrible table manners coming into play.

"GAMMAMON! Save some for everybody else!", Brice yelled as he tried to pull the little penguin off the pear tray. Magnadramon didn't know what she was saying when she told everyone to eat up because Gammamon's stomach was like a bottomless pit. "But you didn't feed me this morning, my tummy was growling all day! I thought a dog was in the house but it was my stomach! YUM YUM YUM!", she yelled out as she devoured 27 pears in a row, one after another. She wasn't able to chew them because she had no teeth so she swallowed them whole because her body was made so she could do that and not choke; all digimon eat differently from time to time.

Brice grew a sweatdrop and sat back down, it was pointless to try to stop her now. Well, at least now that'd shut her big, fat beak and at least now she could stay out of trouble and not cause trouble. At least that's what everyone could hope. Gammamon finally got full after pear number 30 and she went on to being herself; very annoying. Gammamon walked up to Magnadramon to be a nuisance yet again.

"Explain something to me...why exactly are we here? I mean, come on, we all need an explanation. Especially the humans because if I was home, not bothering a soul and then, if I got sucked into a computer screen I'd be pretty pissed right about now. You want people to just pop up like weasels and groundhogs and you not give them a reason why...well...I'm waiting...", Gammamon demanded. Though, her demand wasn't completely irrational.

Everyone wanted an explanation, no one didn't just want to go to the digital world and not have a reason why. "And if you still think I'm impressed with you, sorry, I'm not. You can slap me around as a rookie but I bet once I digivolve, all that will end...I'll be stronger than you, faster, smarter and better looking. You better look out Magnadramon, you got something to fear once I get stronger...", Gammamon threatened. Though, to be honest, she wasn't exactly lying either because her digivolutions were a bit powerful and her mega form was something to be reckoned with though, she still hadn't found out a way to digivolve to her champion level.

Akira sat there, deep in thought. He slowly turned around in his seat and stared at Magnamon.

What does she want with us? he thought.

Tons of thoughts began to race through his head. What is she going to do with us? Are we going to get back home?

"Hey Akira, you all right?" Flamon suddenly said.

"Nope.." Akira slowly said. He had figured out a long time ago that it was useless in hiding his feelings from his partner.

Flamon sighed and leaned back in his chair, staring at Magnadramon. "....I don't trust her."

Akira shrugged. "I've always wanted to travel and see the Digital World."

"But...not like this." Flamon cut in.

Akira shrugged. "Whatever, as long as we're here."

Flamon nodded, then started to stuff food into his mouth. Akira helped himself to some food as well.

"Allright, done eating?" Magnadramon suddenly said.

Hade felt a little bad for Brice. It really wasn't his fault that he had no skils or talent when it came to girls. Hade glanced again at the table. He didn't know whether to trust this Magnadramon yet. I mean yeah, she was all powerful and popular, but how much did he actually know about her? For all he knew, they could end up being her personal body guards or something.

Hade looked for Rock, but he was over at the table, thwacking Gammamon off the pears. He grabbed one then pulled his hand back as she shot a horrible look at him. Hade couldn't tell what she said, but it didn't look nice. Hade laughed slightly to himself, and he risked a glance at Angel. Things hadn't gotten off on the right foot with her. He got up from his spot, and walked over to her.

"Look Angel. I know things didn't go over well at first, but I just want you to know that I want to be friends." Hade said stretching his hand out in friendship.

Angel said nothing. She did not move her head to aknowledge him.

"Whatever. I just thought you might want to know." Hade said walking back to the place he was before. When he stopped, he noticed that Gammamon had waddled off towards Magnadramon.

"That's no good." Hade said outloud to no one in particular.

"What?" Rock asked.

"Gammamon moving in on Magnadramon without anyone to keep Magndramon from killing her." Hade said shaking his head. It seemed that nothing would get through that thick head of her's.

He shot his gaze around the entire room, checking on the others. Jaht sat at the table staring. Storm stood on the wall, Angel hadn't moved, Brice sat looking pissed, Ari sat with Akira chatting, and Mika sat with her digimon. It seemed like the Chosen were just a bunch of mismatched kids. It seemed like there would be very little cooperation from anyone. Hade laughed. This was the most hopeless task he had ever seen.

Labramon began to whimper as his hunger soon came to the best of him. With a small, unnoticing smile on Angel's face appeared, she nodded and Labramon dawdled towards the food, grabbing a few bites to eat. He knew how to ration his food so that he didn't need to starve or glutton himself, just as Gammamon did. He came back to Angel with a few plates, she picked off the fruits and quietly ate them.

She turned and thought to walk back in, but sit against the pillar farthest from everyone else. Labramon followed suit and ate quietly as well. The two watched Gammamon move in on Magnadramon, knowing that the small penguin digimon would only damage herself. She despised that creature, yet had a small liking for its true honesty, and only its honesty.

A small sigh came from Labramon. Angel didn't need to look to him for an answer. She knew what was going through his mind. It was the same thought that went through hers. Eacn inidividual was somehow interacting with each other, no matter how alike or how different they were. It was only a select few that strayed from the group, such as Storm, Brice, and herself.

"When will this end?"

"When she tells us what's going on, then we leave."

When the meal was finished, several Digimon came and cleaned up. "What are those?" Jaht wondered.

"Those would be Burgermon," Hawkmon replied.

"I'm sorry. Did you just say 'Burgermon'?"

Hawkmon nodded. "I did. They like to cook, and are the best chefs in the digital world."

Jaht just shook his head. "What will this world come up with next?"

"Don't ask. Trust me, you do not want to know."

When everything was cleaned up, the Burgermon left. Gammamon looked ready to say something else, but promptly found a rock in her mouth, courtesy of Jaht.

"Nice throw," Brice said.

Everyone watched Gammamon struggle with the rock. "I say we leave it in there," Jaht remarked. "It's certainly an improvement."

Just then, Gammamon managed to get the rock out. Holding it, she turned toward Jaht "Improvement? I'll show you an improvement!"

Gammamon threw the rock, but her aim was quite pathetic. The rock went wide. Gammamon ran at Jaht, and promptly got thrown into another pillar by Magnadramon. "Enough! This is serious! We have no time for games!"

"I think we're all about ready to listen," Jaht said, "with the probable exception of Gammamon. So, first off, why are we all here?"

"I'm sure that most, if not all, of you have been told stories of the Chosen by your Digimon partners. For those of you who haven't, I'll give a brief explanation.

"The term 'Chosen' refers to humans given Digimon partners. These humans were called to this world to aid it in times of danger. Most of the stories are just that, but some are true. I am known as Truth-Keeper. It is my duty to preserve the truth of events, and to ensure that the actual versions of events are not forgotten. This may seem unnecessary, but there are times when knowledge of the truth about past events is essential. Times like now.

"Some of you may have heard different versions of the legend of Mephistomon. It varies depending on the teller. Some portray Anubismon as a hero who worked his way up for the sole purpose of destroying Mephistomon, while others have him see the 'rightous path' and turn against Mephistomon. The truth is that Anubismon wanted Mephistomon's power. Not even I know what happened to Anubismon. Most versions of the legend say that Anubismon and Mephistomon destroyed each other, while others say that Mephistomon's power was too much for Anubismon. There are countless other versions, but those are the most common.

"The truth about those events was inscribed on more than the usual one or two tablets. Five seperate copies of the true sequence of events were made. Five tablets. I have one of them. The other four were possessed by Jijimon, Seraphimon, Goldramon, and Kerpymon. Nineteen days ago, Goldramon dissapeared. His tablet was taken by someone. I do not know who. The other three met the same fate. I am the only tablet-holder left. The Chosen only appear when our world is in danger, and I believe that this time, the tablets are a focus of the danger. As the last tablet-holder, my own life is at risk, and I need your help."

Jaht held up his hand. "Hold it."

"Jaht's going into analysis mode," Hawkmon remarked. "We could be at this for a while."

Jaht shook his head. "Not this time. This one's easy. Magnadramon just said 'need your help' Take a look at the first letters of those words. Need your help. NYH. Those three letters ring a bell?"

"NYH sent the email," Ari answered.

"Correct." Jaht turned back to Magnadramon. "You're NYH. You sent us the message that brought us here. But that brings up a new question. See, Hawkmon knows practically every legend this world's ever had, and he's told me most of them. In none of the legends of the Chosen does a Digimon ever bring the Chosen to this world. So, are the legends wrong, or is there a factor I don't know about?"

"All of what you have said is true," Magnadramon replied, "and I am impressed that you magaged to figure it out from just those three words. Anyways, the legends are correct on that point. Nobody knows who or what actually calls the Chosen to this world, but Digimon never can. If I had sent the message at a different time, nothing would have happened. But just because the Chosen are called doesn't mean that they have a way to come to this world. When I felt the call go out, I sent the message. The message, having come from this world, was used by your digivices as a base for transportation to this world."

"I don't get it," Brice said.

Jaht threw another rock into Gammamon's mouth before replying. "The message was sent from this world. Our digivices couldn't get us here on their own, but they were able to somehow use the message as a link to this world." He turned back to Magnadramon. "Anyways, let's get back to business. It's safe to assume that the other four tablet-holders were killed, and the tablets stolen by whoever killed them. That implies that the goal of whoever's behind this is to get his/her/its/their hands on all five tablets. So, why would whoever's behind this want the tablets badly enough to go through all this?"

"I do not know," Magnadramon said. "I have always suspected that the tablets were more than just records of events. Why else would five be needed? Unfortunatly, I have never been able to discover even a clue as to what."

"I have a question," Brice cut in. "You're very powerful, right? How are we supposed to fight something that can defeat you?"

Gammamon still hadn't gotten the second rock out of her mouth, and so could not respond.

"You all have digivices," Magnadramon explained. "When activated, they are able to cause the digivolution of your Digimon partners. Currently, they can be used to digivolve the Digimon to the Champion level. Take them out, please."

Everyone grabbed their digivices. They were circular, with a small screen in the center. Evenly spaced around the perimiter were four buttons. The top button had an orange glow, but the others had no glow. The bottom button also didn't glow, but it was black, as opposed to the silvery grey of the two side buttons.

"Notice that only the top button has a glow," Magnadramon continued. "When you are in danger, press that button and your Digimon partner will digivolve to the Champion level. The two side buttons, when lit, will allow digivolution to the Ultimate and Mega levels. The bottom button calls up the locations of other digivices, so that you can find each other when seperated. And before you ask, I do not know how to activate the two side buttons."

Just then, a humanoid foxlike Digimon ran into the chamber. "Lady Magnadramon!"

"What is it, Renamon?"

"A small group of insect Digimon is at the hill entrance, and one found the hidden tunnel. It looked like an accident, but we can't risk them telling whoever's after you."

"How many Digimon are in the group?" Magnadramon asked her.

"Not many. Four Kuwagumon, and the leader is a Kabuterimon. There's also a Digmon, but it seems as though he just happened to be here at the same time as the other five. He doesn't look like part of their group, but he knows of the tunnel."

Magnadramon turned back to the humans. "This could be a problem. My location can't be allowed to be revealed. If it is, I won't last long. This group is one that you should be able to take care of. Your first battle shouldn't be without backup. Here, I can step in if you're doing badly. Now, go."

Nobody moved for a few seconds. Eventually, Jaht, who was tired of waiting and not doing anything, said, "What the hell. I'm going."

Akira was the first to move to Jaht. Mika was next, folowed by Ari and Hade. Brice looked at Gammamon, who finally managed to get the rock out of her mouth.

Gammamon looked at Magnadramon, then at everyone else. "I'll show you all how tough I am." She moved over to Jaht, but didn't get too close. She knew Jaht was very physical in his dislike of her. Brice, on the other hand, enjoyed Jaht's handling of Gammamon.

Storm agreed to go, but didn't move to stand with the others. Angel didn't say anything. Magnadramon came within an inch of an overt threat before Angel and Labramon agreed to go.

Renamon led the group to the disguised tunnel entrance. Jaht was the first outside. He saw the six Digimon off to one side, apparently discussing what they should do. When they saw the humans and Digimon emerge, they seemed to make the correct assumption, and assumed combat-ready postures.

Jaht didn't hesitate. He rarely did. He pushed the top button on his digivice. An orange light enveloped Hawkmon. When it faded, a much larger bird Digimon, Aquilamon, was standing in his place.

Jaht looked back at everyone else. "Well, what are you waiting for?"

Mika looked down at DemiDevimon. She had always wanted to see a bigger form of him, but she didn't want him to get hurt either. DemiDevimon suddenly wiggled out of her arms.

"Don't worry about me," DemiDevimon said as he slightly fluttered in front of Mika, "I'll be perfectly fine. Besides, I'm here to protect you." Mika nodded and grabbbed her Digivice. One of the orange buttons was blinking now. Mika quickly put her finger on it.

"Alright," Mika said as she slammed her finger down on the button, "Here we go!" DemiDevimon was suddenly engulfed in a bright purple light. Mika then gripped her Digivice and started wondering whay DemiDevimon could turn into. She quickly closed her eyes.

"Mika," a strange male voice said, "Open your eyes silly." Mika opened her eyes to see some sort of wizard floating in front of her. She was really amazed, yet confused.

"DemiDevimon," Mika questioned as she looked into the wizard's blue eyes. The wizard suddenly shook his head and let out a sigh.

"It's Wizardmon now," the wizard said as he slightly bowed, "and I'm a Champion. Don't worry, I'm still your same old buddy." Mika smiled and quickly hugged Wizardmon. She then let go of him and nodded.

"Go get those bad Digimon Wizardmon," Mika said as she put her fist in the air. Wizardmon nodded and floated next to Aquilamon. He then put his staff out toward the group of insects.

Storm sighed an agreement as they looked to her to see if she would help. She just nodded her head and her digivice began to vibrate. She pulled it off her belt and saw that one of the buttons had lit up and was flashing.

"How about it Lucemon?" she asked, looking to her only friend.

Lucemon looked at her, then the digivice and the button, then back at her.

"Only if you're gonna help me." Lucemon smiled.

Storm smiled slightly. "Of course." she answered, pressing down on the button.

Lucemon was surrounded by a blue light, Storm looked directly at the light, trying to see what would happen. When the light disappeared, a larger angel stood where Lucemon had been, he looked like Angemon except he had a deep pink ribbon wrapped around his legs.

"What are you now?" she asked.

"I'm Piddomon, Champion level." he answered.

Storm nodded, a sign of acceptance from her, Piddomon nodded back and got into position with Wizardmon and Aquilamon. Piddomon looked the other digimon up and down, seeing the relation between them and their rookie levels.

Piddomon then turned to face the opponents; the four large red pinser insects and a taller bluish bug.

"I hate bugs." Piddomon muttered, making Storm smirk, knowing about his fiery hatred for bugs of any kind.

"Just do some pest control, Piddomon." Storm sighed, leaning back against her pillar.

Gammamon wasn?t really ready for a fight though she would oblige any challenge given to her, not only because she was relatively fearless but also because she had something to prove; the proof that she had a big mouth and had the power to back it up. Gammamon?s power and digivolutionary power came not from herself but from the faith Brice had in her to get the job done. Don?t expect fancy tactics from this digimon as she isn?t into being fancy; she?s into simply getting the job done. It was safe to assume that everyone wanted to see what Gammamon was talking so proudly of, to prove her worth and to prove why she was so proud of her digivolution. She wasn?t all that powerful but she was powerful enough just to be amazing but still, even as a champion she STILL was amazingly annoying.

?Brice, I do hope you know what you?re doing. The fate of my world could depend on these Chosen jerks, you, me and all that fight against whatever we?re trying to defeat. We?ll just end up fighting some super strong enemy so I know you?ll just screw up under the pressure. Do us all a favor and DON?T!?, Gammamon demanded as she struck a fighting pose, staring at Kabuterimon. ?He?s MINE! Everyone else, leave that bug to me because I?m the bug squasher! Ready to get exterminated??, Gammamon questioned, threatening the much stronger digimon.

?You can talk the talk little one but you?re just a mere rookie, what can you do against me??, Kabuterimon responded in question form.

Gammamon looked to Brice and cracked a smile. ?Well well well?.he thinks I?m just a lil? ol? rookie does he? Well, appearances can be deceiving can?t they? I think it?s time we showed this bug face how we Chosen squash bugs and I think that digivice of yours is our bug spray. Press the button so I can start the butt cuttin?!?, Gammamon exclaimed, being so happy that finally she?d become a champion level digimon; being a rookie was just no fun to her. ?It?s time I digivolved Brice?it?s about time to make my dream come true?come on now, tell me you?re smart enough to push the button?

Brice sighed and a sweat drop fell from his head. ?I don?t know Gammamon. If you?re mean to me now, then you?ll be an even bigger jerk if you digivolved. On top of that, I don?t know what you?d do, I don?t want you challenging Magnadramon or anyone else who?s on our side. That?s the condition Gammamon, the first time you violate that and I?ll never help you to digivolve EVER again. Got it??, Brice asked, explaining the conditions.

Gammamon grew an angry expression. ?Brice! Now is not the time to be acting like a wuss! Fine! I won?t attack anyone who?s your precious little Chosen! Just press the dang button already before I get clobbered out here!?, Gammamon yelled. She folded her arms and awaited Brice?s compliance.

?Fine Gammamon, but don?t go back on what you said. Alright, I don?t know if this is a good idea but here goes nothing. Gammamon, it?s time for you to digivolve. And lets show these bug creeps what a real digimon is. Lets get digital!?, Brice yelled out. That was a sad attempt at a catch phrase which was ?Lets get digital!? Gammamon lowered her head and shook her head at Brice, being so ashamed that her partner was so pathetic. Brice was smart but he simply tried too hard to fit in?

Brice finally pressed the top button on his digivice and then, the digivolution process started which is to say, to Brice and the rest of the humans it?d be just a quick digivolution but if it were being viewed by a computer, the process would be VERY different. For now, it was the same as everyone else except for a few minor details; Gammamon?s digivolution looked more evil than anything else. A dark cloud of light shrouded Gammamon and spun around her with a data stream reconfiguring her body into her champion level.

?GAMMAMON!?Digivolve to?Saberimon!?, Saberimon, finally, the champion level and man, she packed one heck of a punch. Saberimon?s attacking strength was nothing less of amazing but what she had in power she greatly lacked in speed and agility while everyone else could avoid most attacks, Saberimon wasn?t exactly too swift so she was more vulnerable than most. ?Man! I rock!?, Saberimon complimented to herself.

?Gammamon? Gamma? Buddy? Oh pal? Is?that?you??, Brice asked as he slowly rose his head up to see Saberimon?s head level. Saberimon was exactly 7 feet tall, she was a bit on the pudgy side. To be more specific, she was only a Terriermon version of Penguimon with the exception of large, red claws for weapons. ?I can?t believe it??

?I can?t either, I knew I would rock but man, I?m a rock star baby! Look at me now! I bet that Magnadramon is jealous because not only am I big but I feel so strong and muscular and pretty and?I don?t know, I just feel really cool. OH WELL! Time to squash me a beetle face! Come on Kabuterimon! Show ol? Saberimon what ya got!?, Saberimon welcomed as Kabuterimon quickly replied.

?Saberimon? COOL!?, Brice exclaimed.

?Woooow! So you have claws? I?m SO intimidated, I?m shaking in my hardened shell exterior! Ha ha ha! You?re in for a shock!?, Kabuterimon threatened as he lifted his wings and flew directly for Saberimon, ignoring the others; Saberimon talked the most junk out of anyone else and with that, the leaders normally attack the most influential digimon. ?You?re in for a REAL shock! Like my?ELECTRO SHOCKER!?, Kabuterimon yelled out as he stopped in mid air and crossed his arms over his chest. A huge ball of electricity formed in front of him and then, the moment the ball of electro positive energy gathered up, he fired it out into his primary attack.

?Saberimon no! Get out of the way!?, Brice warned as Saberimon didn?t make an attack to move.

Saberimon yawned, this attack would?ve do much to her as her defense was good as well, her thick body made her very tough to penetrate. ?HURL BALL!?, Saberimon yelled out as she curled herself up into a ball and fired herself into the air, directly towards the electro shocker and Kabuterimon. Saberimon and the electro shocker made a direct collision course with each other. Amazingly, Saberimon survived the blow and with flying colors, she plowed right through it like it was nothing; that?s what the hurl ball for made for, defense or as a sort of defensive curl up. Saberimon uncurled herself, still being propelled forward as she gave Kabuterimon a forward slash with a right handed claw, "Shovem Claw!? Saberimon knocked Kabuterimon out of the air as she rolled back up into a ball and fell back down to the ground, uncurled herself and landed on her feet.

?Not bad for a digimon with a little weight on her huh??, Saberimon asked. When you spend the majority of your time bragging, thinking you?re the best well, it does tend to give you a psychological and physical boost to fight like the best.

?You?ROCK!?, Brice exclaimed, being overjoyed.

?You got lucky! Try that again!?, Kabuterimon yelled out as she charged back for Saberimon.

?Pardon me for a second Brice, I have to do some quick exterminating!?, Saberimon said as she held her claws up into an attack position.

As the other Chosen and their digimon partners went on the offenive, Ari could only look on in amazement.

"Hey, Ari," said Gomamon in a worried yet eager tone. "Are we gonna do something or what?"

"Uh..."

"Come on. I need your help so I can digivolve!" Ari quickly snapped back to her senses.

"Okay, are you sure you'll be fine?" Gomamon noded confidently,"Alright then, let's do this." She took out her digivice from her jacket pocket and immediatly pushed the flashing button on it's side. Gomamon suddenly became inveloped in a brilliant, white light. As it swelled, Ari had to back up several feet to prevent herself from becoming swallowed up in it as well.

When the light dimmed and faded, a large mamoath-looking creature stood before her. "Whoh! Gomamon, you got big," were the only words she could articulate in her amazement.

"I'm Ikkakumon, now," he said in a deep, gruff voice. Ari could only stand there in awe, looking at what her little pal, Gomamon had become. His face and body, which resembled that of a large walrus, was covered in long white fur. He also had a single dark horn petruding from his forhead.

As she looked him over, she caught a glips of one of the Kuwagumon attacking from the rear. "Look out!" she shouted. Ikkakumon turned to face the enemy. "Harpoon Torpedo!" he shouted as the horn on his head, which was imediatly replaced by another, was fired at the attacking digimon. The missile made a direct hit.

Ari breathed a sigh of relief. "Don't relax just yet," Ikkakumon informed her, "We still have a good ways to go."

OOC: Garelock, I feel that I need to specify that Gammamon isn't any more powerful than any of the other Digimon partners (this includes their digivolved forms). You seem dangerously close to forgetting that, so I thought I'd remind you. To be a bit more specific, Saberimon and Kabuterimon should be about evenly matched.

-------------------------------------------------------------

The Kuwagumon attacked Aquilamon, Piddomon, and Ikkakumon. Kabuterimon was busy with Saberimon. But Jaht couldn't see Digmon anywhere.

[Obviously, Digmon can dig,] Jaht thought, [so that means that he's probably underground. But where will he pop up?]

Jaht looked around. Digmon couldn't do much to the flying Aquilamon and Piddomon. Ikkakumon was a potential target, but Jaht's money was on Saberimon. She was battling Kabuterimon, the enemy leader. Renamon had said that Digmon wasn't part of the group, but Jaht didn't agree. He thought that Digmon was the one you weren't supposed to notice untill too late. He guessed that Digmon would do his best to protect Kabuterimon. He was right.

The ground under Saberimon suddenly collapsed, and she fell into Digmon's hole. Kabuterimon fired an Electro Shocker into the hole, succesfully hitting Saberimon. Saberimon quickly lept out of the hole, with Digmon close behind.

"Aquilamon!" Jaht shouted. "Saberimon needs some help! You take Digmon!" I can't beleve I just told him to help her.

Aquilamon flew towards Digmon. "Blast Rings!" He fired several energy rings at Digmon. Digmon took the hit, and was promptly hit again, this time by Aquilamon's Grand Horn. Before Digmon could retaliate, Aquilamon flew too high for him to reach.

"Come down here and face me like a warrior!" Digmon shouted. "You're nothing but a coward, going up where I can't reach you!" Digmon moved fast, dodgeing another set of Blast Rings. "You can't win by staying up there! Come down here and get me!"

With a smirk upon her face, Angel watched the others battle with the Kuwagamon and Kabuterimon. Labramon sat patiently, knowing that his time would come to battle one of the digimon. It came sooner than the two had anticipated. Labramon jumped out in front of Angel and growled at the Kuwagamon before him.

"Prepare yourself to digivolve, Labramon."

As quick as lightning, Angel pulled her digivice from her belt and a button had raised itself. She pushed it and watched as dark gray smoke enveloped Labramon, which began to fade away and before them all appeared a large doberman-like digimon with eyes on certain areas of his body. A smirk came upon the human and digimon's face. They were truly in sync once more.

"Welcome back, Dobermon."

"It is good to be back, Lady Angel. It seems our enemies before us do not realize who we are."

"Such a pity. Take them out."

With a malicious grin upon his face, Dobermon did exactly as he was told. The Kuwagamon before him sent a Scissor Claw towards Dobermon, who merely stood in place and disappeared the next moment. The Kuwagamon looked around, searching for this dog digimon. He didn't realize that Dobermon was behind him, ready to attack.

Storm watched as the girl called Angel, and her digimon partner acted somewhat like herself and Lucemon, except Lucemon was the gentle one.

Then she turned her eyes to where Piddomon and Ikkakumon were still fighting the Kuwagamon.

"Come on Piddomon, get this over with already." Storm yawned.

"It isn't that easy Storm." Piddomon said, dodging a slash from Kuwagamon.

"Use your Piddo Speed combo." Storm told him.

"Hmm...could work...Piddo Speed!" Piddomon sped up and rammed into the Kuwagamon, then went behind him, quick as lightning.

"Fire Feather!" he called, producing a feather made of fire, he raised his arm behind his shoulder and flung it downwards, letting go of the feather. As it fell, the feather grew larger and the tip sharpened. The feather struck Kuwagamon in the tender part between his wings, making Kuwagamon howl and turn angrily toward Piddomon.

"You'll pay for that, Angel Boy! Scissor Claw!" he roared, trying to catch Piddomon in his large pinsers. Piddomon dodged and released another attack.

"Apollo Tornado!" he cried, holding his hands in front of him. A large tornado of fire rose around Kuwagamon, making him howl in agony.

Piddomon nodded to Ikkakumon, who got the hint. "Harpoon Torpedo!" he roared, shooting out his horn, which opened, and the torpedo was lost in the tornado, but they heard it hit it's target.

(OOC: I?ll try to post tomorrow but I know I won?t be here Saturday and Sunday. I apologize for the inconvenience.)

Saberimon wasn?t affected by the electrical attack at first but then, all of a sudden, she fell to the ground; that was unexpected. She was down, strangely, it was the extremely clever strategy of Digmon and Kabuterimon that had managed to take the Chosen?s battering ram down which was Saberimon; every team needs their tank and she was it. So far though, Saberimon had taken a direct hit from the Electro Shocker and being electrocuted isn?t a very good feeling. Saberimon?s body shook violently as she seemed to be completely out of commission, she was down, she was torn and the damage had be done. Or had it? Saberimon?s fighting spirit worked primarily from her belief that she was the best digimon around; without that, she?s a pathetic wimp. It was interesting to see how someone whom was so confident in their skills such as Saberimon to now be down from a powerful strike.

?Saberimon! Please get up! What?s wrong? Come on buddy! Get up!?, Brice yelled out in distress as he didn?t near the place that Saberimon had fallen, fearing that the enemy digimon would attack him. Saberimon still hadn?t moved despite Brice?s attempts of trying to cheer her on; digimon just don?t get up from electro shockers.

The turn of events would change though, Saberimon?s strength was her mental strength so, one digimon took advantage of that; Renamon. The fox digimon slowly approached Saberimon as she still was shaking like crazy, the jolts still surging through her nervous system. ?So that?s it? You?re just going to give up?you honestly think you would EVER stand a chance against Magnadramon? Do you think you could ever defeat the evil that?s ahead? Do you think I?ll even have pity on you Saberimon. That answer is simple?I do not. You are pathetic, you are worthless and you aren?t even the equivalent of dirt now, you?re even lower than that?, Renamon insulted, knowing that if the harsh words didn?t get Saberimon back on feet nothing would.

?Hey! That?s my friend you?re talking to there! Lay off!?, Brice yelled at Renamon.

Renamon looked to Brice and winked her eye. Normally, Brice wouldn?t get the message because he wasn?t exactly a genius but he did get the hint this time. And oh boy! It, fortunately or unfortunately worked. Saberimon rolled her eyes and jumped back up to her feet. ?I am the best??, Saberimon lowly said, rolling her eyes at Digmon. The excitement and the distraction that Aquilamon had managed to provide was enough for Saberimon to give Digmon the worst pain of his life. When Saberimon attacks, she REALLY attacks, she wasn?t any more powerful than the rest of the Chosen partners but she did pack a punch. Saberimon raised her claws as they started to glow in a bright, neon assorted array of colors and then, she fired her most powerful and primary attack.

?NORTHERN LIGHTS!?, Saberimon yelled out as a stream of tiny, glowing, rainbow colored stars shot out, making a pathway to Digmon. The digging digimon turned around but he had took too much attention off Saberimon but now, it was too late. The northern lights scored a direct hit. Digmon went flying into the hole he had set for Saberimon. Ironic isn?t it?

?Nice attack Saberimon! Now finish him!?, Brice yelled out, trying to get Saberimon to get rid of at least one digimon.

?No?I?m not selfish, Aquilamon, this is a job for you. Thanks for the distraction, it?s a very nice tactic?if that was what you were trying to do.?

Aquilamon?s horns lighted up and shined brilliantly as he lowered his altitude with Digmon climbing out of the hole. The moment Digmon got onto higher ground and out of the hole, Aquilamon gave him a nasty wake up call. ?Grand Horn!?, Aquilamon bashed Digmon with those gigantic holes and knocked Digmon out cold.

?Don?t destroy him! We?ll keep him for questioning!?, Saberimon instructed as Aquilamon backed off but for now, the bird digimon had ignored Kabuterimon for too long. ?Aquilamon! Look out!?, Saberimon warned as Kabuterimon was getting ready to launce an attack.

Aquilamon had been warned in time. Kabuterimon had tried the same electro shocker attack but Aquilamon was a master at flying and dodged the attack easily. The electrocuting attack missed and gave Aquilamon a chance to retaliate. ?Blast rings!?, Aquilamon fired several, light colored energy rings and made Kabuterimon sway a little to the side in the air.

?Aquilamon, how?s about a lift??, Saberimon asked, hoping to get Aquilamon to lift her into the sky. Aquilamon swooped down and lowered his head, Saberimon mounted onto the bird digimon and was lifted into the sky. This would be much more efficient if you combine Saberimon?s attacking expertise and Aquilamon?s amazing flight skills.

Saberimon was a jokester obviously, so she quoted an old commercial and slogan. ?RAID!?, Saberimon yelled out as she lifted her claws and launched a Northern lights attack and blasted Kabuterimon out of the sky and nearly destroying him on the spot; that?s the second attack Saberimon had on him and Aquilamon made him look like an amateur in the skies.

"I don't think that's going to work," Wizardmon yelled as he fought off a Kuwagamon's Scissor Claw with his staff. Saberimon looked over a Wizardmon, who was floating pertty high up. He was good at dodging and quickly attacking as well. He mostly balance with his offense and defence.

"How with you know that Wizard boy," Saberimon said with an annoyed tone. Aquilamon was suddenly hit with an Electro Shocker. He quickly regained his balance, but Saberimon had fallen off his head. Wizardmon quickly bashed the Kuwagamon over the head and floated after Saberimon. Saberimon actually looked scared. She closed her eyes, but felt someone grab her hand. She re-opened her eyes and looked up. Wizardmon had caught her.

"That's how," Wizardmon said as he started floating toward the ground. Saberimon slightly blushed and then stuck her nose in the air. Mika had ran up next to Brice. Brice slightly looked over at her and smiled.

"Your Digimon saved mine," Brice said as he countinued to smile, "Thanks a bunch." Mika nodded her head and then looked up at Wizardmon and Saberimon. She had told Wizardmon to save Saberimon. He did out his own free will. She would have to him to save Saberimon if she saw her fall, but she didn't see her fall.

"You're pertty strong for a small guy," Saberimon said as she slightly looked back at Wizardmon. Wizardmon nodded and quickly dodged another Electro Shocker. He looked a little pissed by this point.

"I'll show you a really electrifiying attacking," Wizardmon said as he held his staff out toward Kabuterimon, "THUNDER BLASTER!" A bright yellow ball with lighting swirling around came out of Wizardmon's staff. It hit Kabuterimon dead in the chest, but seemed to fase him. A worried look crossed Wizardmon's eyes.

"Try something else Wizardmon," Mika yelled as she looked up at her partner. Wizardmon looked down at her and nodded. He then looked back at Kabuterimon. Kabuterimon was now coming at him with great speed. Wizardmon quickly handed his staff to Saberimon.

"Please hold that," Wizardmon said as he creaked his knuckles in his free hand, "Lets hope this works. VISION OF TERROR!" About three misy clear blast came from Wizardmon's hand. They all quickly disappeared into Kabuterimon's head. Kabuterimon quickly stopped in his tracks and held his head.

"Noooooo," Kabuterimon yelled as he started to fly in circles, "Make it stop! Make it stop!" Saberimon looked up at Wizardmon and handed his staff bach to him. Wizardmon took it and slightly nodded his head.

"What did you do to him," Saberimon asked as Wizardmon's staff started to glow. Wizardmon slightly smirked.

"Think about the name of my attack," Wizardmon said as he held his staff out, "You'll figure it out. Right now, I'm get rid of this pest once and for all. MAGICAL GAME!" A bright blue blast suddenly same out of Wizardmon's staff and hit Kabuterimon dead on. Kabuterimon started falling and turning into data.

"Nice one Wizardmon," Mika cheered as Wizardmon countinued to desend. Saberimon's feet suddenly touched the ground and Wizardmon let go of her hand. Mika quickly ran up to Wizardmon, hugged him, and swung him around.

"Don't celebrate yet," Wizardmon said with a serious look in his eyes, "We still have to deal with those Kuwagamon." Mika let out a depressed sigh and let Wizardmon go. She knew he had a point.

"Be careful," Mika said as Wizardmon started to float back iup into the sky. Wizardmon nodded and tipped his hat.

Finally, it was obvious why everyone in this group were picked as Chosen, well, even a fool could see. They worked so well together though when talking to each other most of them wouldn?t be able to get along and that goes for the humans AND digimon; namely Gammamon. But when they?re working together to stop an evil force, well, just look at what they can do now; it was amazing how they could change from being hostile to one another to being teammates bent on getting a certain job done. Each digimon wasn?t more powerful than the other BUT each digimon had an advantage over the other, like for example, Wizardmon?s well balanced skills made him a good fighter, Aquilamon?s flight skills were godly, Dobermon?s speed and agility was in a class all by itself, Ikkakumon?s attack power was greatly underestimated, Piddomon?s arsenal of attacks were well balanced and Saberimon?s determination would make this team unstoppable; and that was just the digimon that were currently engaged in battle.

?Thanks for the help Wizardmon, I owe ya one. We should keep this up, if we do, we?ll have these guys beat in no one. And..?, she was cut off by something attacking from behing. It was Digmon!

?Gold Rush!?, Digmon commanded as she launched a barrage of medium sized, metal converted drills at Wizardmon and Saberimon. Wizardmon dodged the attack but Saberimon wasn?t so lucky. Another direct hit and Saberimon went flying past Dobermon and rolling into the ground. She staggered to get back up; it?d take more than that to break her spirit. She couldn?t keep taking hits like that or risk being destroyed.

?Saberimon! Come on! Start dodging those attacks before you start looking like a punching bag out there!?, Brice hollered.

?Just shut your yap?I got it, I got it??, Saberimon said as she slowly got back to her feet and cut a mean glare at Digmon. ?If it wasn?t for you, I would?ve ended this fight a long time ago?time for a little payback ya freak!?

?Oh really? Well, try on my Rock Cracking!?, Digmon grew some more drills and dug them into the ground where a large crack traveled up to Saberimon.

?Nice try, but this time, I?m ready for ya!?, Saberimon rolled up into a ball and bounced off the ground a few times to get some leverage and then, propelled herself forward. Digmon?s nose was still buried into the ground, still drill like crazy and with that, he had no idea that Saberimon was already airborne and coming down for some retribution. ?Hurl Ball!?, Saberimon kept the ?ball rolling? as some would say and then, came down from her high point and whacked Digmon with the rolling ball attack, sending Digmon spiraling backwards.

?Now to finish this!?, Saberimon yelled out as she lighted her claws. ?Northern lights?, she tried this attack once again. The star lights traveled towards Digmon and once they connected, he got transferred back into data and was deleted. It wasn?t crazy that Saberimon could overcome Digmon so easily; he wasn?t even really a champion level digimon, just a co-champion.

All this fighting was taking its toll on Saberimon though, she started panting heavily with her energy being really low. She turned to Wizardmon, ?We can?t keep this up forever, there are just too many of them to handle?I don?t know if I can go on much longer.?

Akira whirled around to face Flamon, but he was already running into the fight.

"Good luck, man,"Akira said as he pressed the evolution button, causing a message to scroll across the screen:

DIGIVOLUTION_

"Flamon, digivolve tooo..." he shouted as fire surrounded him and his skin ripped off, causing a bubble of data to surround him as his body structure changed and armor locked onto his body. Wild yellow hair grew from his head.

"AGUNIMON!"

Agunimon dashed towards the nearest Kuwagamon, which Ikkakumon was fighting.

"Pyro Punch!" he yelled as he locked his hands, causing fire to shoot out of the wrist vents. He lauched fireballs at the Kuwagamon, burning it and causing it to slam clumsily into the ground.

Angry, it attacked back.

"Scissor Claw!"

The attack shot towards Agunimon and hit him directly, lifting him off his feet and knocking him through a tree. Slowly, angrily he picked himself up.

"Harpoon Torpedo!"

Ikkakumon fired his attack, which the Kuwagamon managed to duck under as it flew narrowly overhead it.

"Pyro Darts!"

Agunimon hit Ikkakumon's attack while it was still overhead the Champion bug, causing it to explode and delete the Kuwagamon. The splash damage from the two attacks was enough to force them staggering backward.

"Only a few more to go!" Akira shouted to the others.

Jaht looked around. We're doing well. So, why do I have a bad feeling about this?

Jaht heard a noise. It seemed to be coming from beneath him. He moved fast, and just in time. The ground where he was standing collapsed. Digmon jumped out of the hole. "You didn't think I'd go down so easily, did you?"

"Actually, no," Jaht replied. "I didn't. But I don't know how the hell you're still alive. I saw you dissipate, or whatever that was."

"Obviously, that didn't happen."

"But you did come to the conclusion that you needed a new strategy, so you came after me instead of going after a Digimon. Hostage, right? Well, sorry to disapoint you. Actually, no. I'm not sorry. Now, I believe that my partner has some unfinished business with you."

Aquilamon flew down and landed behind Jaht. "Think you're tough enough, Digmon?"

"Easily."

"Then let's do this."

----------------------------------------------------------

OOC: Aquilamon gets to fight Digmon. Nobody else have Digmon die, please. You'll understand why in my next post (where I'll also reveal how Digmon's still alive).

Digmon and Aquilamon were locked in battle but for the rest of the evil digimon party, things weren't going too smoothly. There were only 2 Kuwagamon left, and for the record, they were getting their butts severly kicked and even by the weakest in the Chosen team whom was Saberimon at the moment; so far, she had put up the greatest fight, being the loose cannon she was. Another Kuwagamon had appeared out of nowhere. Well, that wasn't the case, that Kuwagamon was here all along, Saberimon had knocked that one out but hadn't deleted it yet. Saberimon started helping the rest of the Chosen partners fight the Kuwagamon off, even WITH her being so weak at this point; she just didn't know when to quit. The rest of the Chosen squad started gaining more and more momentum until it was time to finish the Kuwagamon off and claim a victory from that side of the field.

Wizardmon pointed his staff at the Kuwagamon he was beating down and Ikkakumon was getting ready to attack only to have Piddomon give an assist. "Lets combine our attacks, lets finish this! NOW!", Wizardmon yelled as he started his attack. "Magical Game!", he fired a blue beam ray from his staff.

"Fire feather!", Piddmon commanded as he launced a flaming feather towards the Kuwagamon.

"HARPOON TORPEDO!", the oh so familiar attack of Ikkuakumon with the sharp headed torpedo for a weapon.

The attacks combined with a force that was simply spectacular and instantly, without a doubt destroyed the Kuwagamon, leaving just one left and that one would be handled by Dobermon, Saberimon and Agunimon.

Dobermon made another mad, speed dash and appeared behind the Kuwagamon. "Ultra bite!", Dobermon commanded as he gave the Kuwagamon a swift biting atttack, taking off a chunk of the bug's armor and eating up some of its data; like a dog would've.

"Shovem Claw", Saberimon just had to put her two cents into it, or at least her two claws with a clawing attack, making Kuwagamon stagger heavily. One more attack should do it.

"Pyro darts!", Agunimon shouted as he launched a fierce, fire based attack and destroyed the Kuwagamon with brute strength alone.

"We did it!", Brice overjoyingly exclaimed as the victory had been won on that side of the field.

Saberimon, Wizardmon, Dobermon, Agunimon, Piddomon and Ikkakumon made a digimon circle around Aquilamon and Digmon, making sure Digmon couldn't escape.

"Come on Aquilamon! Finish this guy off! Lets blow this thing and go home!", Saberimon said, comedian-like; quoting a scene from Star Wars.

Hade just stood back and watched the action. He had no desire to help anyone becuase he found the vilence pointless. He couldn't believe that anyone should have to die becuase of what they want to do. Also, just because some big powerful figure might be found, why should he care? It seemed like politics over here in the Digital World worked alot like the ones in the Real World.

"Hade, why can't I fight?" Rock asked looking antsy.

"This isn't our fight." Hade said casually.

"Why not?" ROck asked looking puzzled.

"Becuase, I don't want to help protect some loser who can't look out for themselves." Hade said turning away from the battle.

"Look, Hade, this is what we were brought here to do." Rock said.

"Rock, look if you want to go, join them in the circle o' joy, but don't expect me to help." Hade said getting flustered.

"Wow, you've really changed." Rock said moving towards the circle.

"Rock." Hade said walking over to him. "I just don't want to play bodyguard to Magnadramon, that's all." Hade said his eyes pleading with Rock.

"Yeah, I understand, but not everything revolves around you." Rock said.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Hade asked feeling pressure rise throughout his body.

"You can't always go with what you want Hade. There will always be a higher power." Rock said moving closer to the circle.

"Rock, look, I can't stand just being someone's pawn. You should know that better than anyone." Hade said stoppping.

"Hade..." Rock said also stopping. "God, your right. Magnadramon is just using us."

"See. Now you can see the resentment." Hade said continuing towards the circle. "I'll give it to these people to hang around for one more talk from Magnadramon, then we're outta here." Hade said stopping behind someone.

"Fine by me." Rock said stopping next to Hade. Rock moved in between a couple of humans to get a better show. "Go Hawkmon!" he cheered.

"Rock, you never learn, do you?" Hade said rubbing at his temples.

Digmon fired a Gold Rush at Aquilamon. Aquilamon took off and countered with Blast Rings. His attack connected, but Digmon didn't appear to be hurt too badly. Aquilamon flew down and attacked with Grand Horn. Digmon, displaying expert timing, fired a Gold Rush downwards. The force of the blast propelled him upwards, over Aquilamon's head and onto his back.

Aquilamon spun around, trying to shake Digmon off. The latter drilled right into Aquilamon's back. Auilamon lost control and went smashing into the ground. Digmon was flung off of his back and into the side of the hill.

Aquilamon fired Blast Rings, and Digmon fired Gold Rush. Both attacks hit their targets. Aquilamon devolved to Hawkmon. Digmon tried to get up, but couldn't. Jaht walked over to him, but made sure to stand at a safe distance. "Didn't do quite so well, did you?" he said.

Digmon attempted to lunge at Jaht, but ended up falling flat on his face. Jaht noticed a mark on the back of Digmon's neck that did not look like it was supposed to be there. The mark looked like a square rotated 45 degrees with a plus sign inside it.

"What is that mark?" Jaht asked.

Digmon laughed. "You think I'm going to tell you? I'm afraid that you won't get anything out of me."

Jaht watched as the mark faded out. When it dissapeared, Digmon said, "I like to go out with a bang."

Most people wouldn't have moved. Jaht wasn't most people. He was smart, he was a fast thinker, and he didn't hesitate. He also took things litarally most of the time, and that saved his life. He ran, thinking Digmon would use an attack that caused an explosion. He was partly right. Is was Digmon himself that exploded. Jaht was far enough away when it happened to avoid serious injury, but the force of the blast did knock his feet out from under him.He picked himself up off the ground. "My ass hurts."

"What happened?" Hawkmon asked.

"Well, Digmon just exploded. Aside from that, I have no clue. Digimon don't normally explode, do they?"

"No," Hawkmon said. "We don't explode."

"Well, Digmon did. Right after the mark on the back of his neck dissapeared. The two events are quite likely related. So, my main question is: what the hell was that mark?"

"I don't know. We should ask Magnadramon."

"Agreed. Let's head back under."

Renamon led the group into the huge central chamber, where Magnadramon was waiting for them. Even Angel and Labramon came without any encouragement, although it was easy to see that they intended to leave as soon as they could.

'Very good," Magnadramon said. "You did well."

"Let's get on with this, shall we?" Jaht was as impatient as ever. "First of all, that Digmon was definatly part of the group. In fact, I think he was quite possibly the actual leader, with Kabuterimon just appearing to be the leader to throw people off. It worked pretty well, actually. But Digmon came with a couple mysteries. First, he was taken out partway through the battle. I saw it happen. But a few seconds later, he showed up again. And after Aquilamon took him down, I saw a mark on the back of his neck. It faded out, and Digmon exploded a few seconds later. The mark was obviously connected to the explosion, and posibly to Digmon reapearing, as well."

"Please discribe this mark."

"It was pretty simple, actually. Take a square, rotate it 45 degrees, and put a plus sign inside it."

"I've seen a mark like that before," Renamon said. "It was in Goldramon's dwelling, when I went to investigate why he wasn't being seen anymore. It was on the ground in the middle of his central chamber."

"Then that should be your first destination," Magnadramon said to the Chosen. "Goldramon's lair is due east of here, about two day's journey on foot. Do not worry about food or water. You will be following a stream for the entirty of your journey, and there are plenty of edible fruits, berries, and plants along the way."

"Well, let's get a move on," Jaht said. "No use sitting around here all day. Let's go."

Jaht led the group outside. Guessing what would happen next, he looked at Angel. "Decision time. Either you stay with the group, or you leave. If you leave, you'll probably die pretty quickly. If more than one Champion attacks you at once, you're history. Also, in every one of the legends, which Hawkmon has told me every one of, the Chosen can't return to the real world until their task is completed. So, make your choice. That goes for everyone here. Are you with Hawkmon and I, or not?"

Nearly everyone else was silent at Jaht's words. After a few moments of no one saying a word, Ari, who couldn't take the indisisive silence any longer, stepped forward.

"I'm in," she said with utmost confedince. The other's looked at her in astonishment. She had been so quiet before, yet now Ari was the first to speak up. In a way, she was almost surprised by her own actions.

Jaht turned to face her. "Are you sure about this?" he asked, with a hint of doubt in his tone.

"Never been more sure about anything in my life," she stated with a slight smerk on her face. Ari looked down at Gomamon by her feet. He noded up at her in agreement and she noded back, and with that the two of them walked over next to Jaht and Hawkmon.

"Okay" he said, looking at the rest of the group, "Anyone else?"

Just knowing that she would be stuck with a crowd was a distaste to Angel. She had already been in a world similar to the world she stood in now with Labramon before and she did quite well alone. She folded her arms and could hear Labramon's soft growls, which were suddenly hushed by Angel's words.

"Like I said to you before, in the forest, we meant you no harm and now we shall be on our way. May we meet again, either as enemies or friends, who knows."

Jaht looked to Angel and Labramon as the two left. Hawkmon knew Labramon's potential, but it was the fact that he stayed close to his human partner that made him the most loyal digimon he had seen yet. With a sigh, Hawkmon turned to Jaht, knowing that those two were out on their own.

Once away from the cave, Angel looked to Labramon. His eyes said he wanted to be with the group, as did his soul, but his mind and heart were one with Angel's and in that connection, he could not leave. The two knew they needed to be alone, away from the group for a while, so that they could get the feel the adrenaline rush of what Alexa and Bearmon had gotten.

With a deep breath, the two made their way away from the cave and walked towards Goldramon's lair, not knowing what would become of them or what would appear before them. It was a journey that they needed to make themselves, with help of Alexa and Bearmon in their heart.

Mika bit her lip and looked down at DemiDevimon. DemiDevimon shook his head and let out a sigh.

"It's your choice," Demidevimon said as he wiggled out of Mika's arms, "I'm with you all the way no matter what you choose though." Mika nodded and looked toward Jaht and Ari. She then looked toward the cave's exit. It was tempting to leave, but she rather be with a group.

"I'm in too," Mika said as DemiDevimon landed on her shoulder, "I say power comes in numbers." Jaht and Ari looked at each other and then at Mika.

"I'm not stopping you from leaving you know," Jaht said as he looked at Mika. Mika shook her head and started walking toward the small group of two.

"Look," Mika said as she stopped next to Jaht, "I'm tempted to leave so that I can train DemiDevimon alone, but I like having people around. It makes me feel safer. Jaht nodded and looked at the remanding people.

"Well," Jaht said as he crossed his arms, "that's two with me and one leave. Who else?" Everyone looked around at each other. They wondered who else was going to leave and who was going to stay.

Gammamon sighed as she sat down on the ground and used her claws to scratch the back of her head. "If all this bonding is done...can we get on with the travels? I mean, guys, COME ON, if you don't want to be here, you're always welcomed to leave. I can't stand people who act all bad and yet they want to be apart of a group. Even a person like me knows when it's time to shut that yap up and start working as a team. Without others, without people to back you up, well, you're not only going to be a PRETTY lonely person, likewise, you'll be a very vulnerable person", Gammamon explained. That had to be the best thing she had said since the time she crossed back over into the digital world.

"You know, for once, Gammamon has a point. We have to start working together if we're going to go around calling ourselves the Chosen. Whoever chose us sure didn't do a very good job. They should've picked teammates who're compatiable in not only in a digital sense but in a personality sense. So far, we've been nothing more than a bunch of bickering kids. Guys, come on, grow up, lets just squash whatever beefs we have, whatever personal and/or arrogant ways about oursevles and destroy whatever evil we went sent here to destroy. It's such a shame we have such powerful digimon and yet, even us, the Chosen, can't even get along", Brice conveyed.

"For once, the blockhead is making sense...so I suppose a truce. No one argues, no one insults anybody, we'll operate juts like a real team should..what do you guys say?", Gammamon offered.

Storm looked at the groups, the undecided and those who were going with Jaht. She was currently part of neither. She looked over to Lucemon.

"Lucemon...." she started.

"It's ok, I'll go with you no matter what your choices are." he said.

Storm nodded, he knew her so well.

"Hey, I'm with Angel, I just wanted to know what was going on and then I planned on leaving, which I'll do now. Seeya round sometime." Storm stated, took another look at the groups and turned away.

Storm walked out, with Lucemon fluttering beside her, she put her hands in her pockets as she exited the cave, then she turned, those who were watching her from inside the cave lost sight of her.

"You sure you're ok with this?" Storm asked softly, looking into his blue eyes that told her that he wanted to be with the group. He was an angel after all, he needed friendship, which was what Storm didn't need.

"Of course, I'll always stay with you." Lucemon said, smiling.

"Thanks Lucemon, I never could've done it without you." Storm sighed, giving him a rare smile.

"Of course you couldn't have, what, were you gonna face them Kuwagamon yourself were ya?" Lucemon joked.

Storm laughed lightly, something she definately didn't do very often. They continued to talk as they headed towards Goldramon's Lair, she was hoping for more answers than what Magnadramon had said.
