SlimSL Posted October 27, 2004 Share Posted October 27, 2004 Yo I have only seen a few anime mostly the stuff on Cartoon Network, but I would have to say my Favorite Anime Character or any Character in general would have to be Spike Spiegel From Cowboy Bebop. Why? first off he has an air of coolness and control despite the situations he gets into. And he is a badass but he has style as well. I also like how laid back he is, because alot of other characters I have seen in anime (which isn't all that much) have alot of emotionial issues and let things get to them easily where most of it doesn't seem to really matter to Spike, especially how he doesn't mind dropping the hammer on somebody (unlike Vash from Trigun, which don't get me wrong is a good show but Vash is a wimp.). I also like how [I]human[/I] he is, l other characters I've seen are almost[I] superhuman[/I] For example: they don't get hit in firefights, they always win, etc. Where Spike gets his A** beat on several occasions and he doesn't always catch the bounty which makes him unique from most other sci-fi/fantasy "heroes" I have read and watched. And finally to sum it all up I like how Spike is a "Lone Wolf" while at the same time not being a complete antisocial. I may just be in the middle of an obsession (Okay definatley in the middle of an obsession. :cool: ) but as of right now Spike is my Idol, when I first saw him I was amazed how much like me he is, sure I'm not exactly like him but our general demeaneors are the same. [COLOR=Pink]Mutsumi Otohime[/COLOR] :love: (Love Hina) Sure she almost dies alot in the manga series but she rules even though she can seem dumb. 2. [COLOR=SandyBrown]Kagome[/COLOR] (Inuyasha) She is hot and cool even though she can be very rude to Inyusha in the anime and manga. 3. [COLOR=Red]Naru Narusegawa[/COLOR] (Love Hina) She is THE HOTTEST ANIME GIRL OF ALL TIME! She always seems to be even hotter when she is mad. But if I had to choose [I]one[/I] I'd have to say Spike from Cowboy Bebop. He seems so calm yet so hyper all at the same time. It's like he doesn't care yet he's seems very emotional towards everyone. I connect to him so much. A close second is Sanosuke Sagara, aka Zanza, from Rouroni Kenshin. Uchiha Sasuke-Naruto: He has the Sharingan Eye, knows the Chidori, Shishi Rendan, and Grand Fireball no Jutsu (very cool moves!!!). There are so many Anime/Manga titles I like, cutting down ONE PERSON out of everyone is next to impossible... Sazuke (From Naruto) is absolutely awesome, in that he's never skittish and he's always on top of things. Then there's Sakura (Also from Naruto) and hey, ya gotta love it when 'inner Sakura' pops up and tells ya what she's really thinking. And she's brilliant. 'Nuff Said. Sagara Sanosuke (Rurouni Kenshin) is the coolest strong-guy portrayal I've seen in any anime/manga. Stereotypical 'Tough guys' are stupid and all brawn, so it's a nice breath of fresh air to see some originality. Scuichi Minomino (Can't spell it)/Kurama (From YuYuHakusho) Yeah, I love the plant-demon-power-ness, but his sweet 14-year-old self is awesome, too. You just gotta love a thorn-whip swingin' demon with red hair and green eyes ;) Tetsuo (Hikaru no Go) and Akira are both geniouses, and I love both of thier hair! Well, though there's many hundreds more where that came from (Including Ryou from Tokyo Mew Mew and Syaoran from Card Captor Sakura) I think I've touched on the most prominent. Oh, yeah, Sesshoumaru rocks, but so many people have put in there two cents about him, I'd rather not add. P.S. He is a little kid yet had his spirit transmuted into a suit of armor. 7) Next there is Ed from FMA. He is one of my favorite because he looks great and expresses emotions quite wonderfully. 6) Third in the countdown is Spike from Cowboy Beebop. I like him due to his I don't give a fff...care about a thing. He just wants money and is quite the hunter. He also has a great spaceship. 5) Fourth in the countdown is Inuyasha. He is toughish looking and also carries around his big *** sword. 4) This one would be Takun from Fooly Cooly {Fury Cury} It is just awesome and confusing things about this charecter. Nothing left said. 3) Kiba from Wolf's Rain. He is wise in the art of wolves and loves Chesa. He really seems to be the all knowing in the show. 2) Tsume from Wolf's Rain. He is the tough guy in the show and loves to be that. He looks like he is able to kill someone and not even care. 1) Toboe is the best. He is innocent and then becomes real manly later. Straight from Wolf's Rain Toboe does happen to have a problem later in the show, yet, no discussion about it until I know how to put up the spoilers. The scene almost made me go nuts though. Guest blkchaos Posted November 29, 2004 Share Posted November 29, 2004 i like these 5 in order from least favorate to favorate, these are my top 5 5. suzuka from outlaw star- she uses a kick *** fighitng style with her wooden sword. 4. kension from rorouni kension- he to uses awesome sword techniques and the anime goes into him alot deeper that they did for suzuka. not to mention that he is honorable and compasionate. 3. haru- from rave master (groove adventure rave)- always upbeat, strong willed and love how he can change his sword. not to mention rave master is at the top of my list. 2. aoshi- rorouni kension- again i like him for his sword techniques; i like him better than any other characters on rorouni kension. even if he lost to kension, i think he is still the best. 1. xellos- from slayers next and slayers try- i love how he is sly, mysterous, secretive and strong. slayers is ranked 1 on my favorate anime list. i find it weird that all of my other favorate characters use swords and xellos uses magic. i guess i just like his mysterous yet funny characteristics; a bit like me Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

A FLCL char. why did it take so long for someone to mention FLCL. I have to say all the chars are my fav personally but if I had to choose just 1 I'd have to go with Haruko, I mean seriously, wow... what can I say other than twisted? I mean I have to say Lain is the most twisted but Haruko is like seriously out there. And to sum it all up I'd have to say I can describe my choice with 1 word... TWISTED! Seriously though kenshin and all thoese guys are great but lets have some origonality unless all u have seen is the anime on cartoon network I really think u should try to be more origonal (or atleast put a specific moment that makes u love the trendy chars). Mirushi Posted November 30, 2004 Share Posted November 30, 2004 I like a whole bunch of different characters from different shows. but my favorites are Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin because he is just the best swordsman around, and either Youko or Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho because they are both demons and have really cool weapons. They also know how to act cool and fight well. But Sniper is the newest cool character from Yu Yu Hakusho becuase he can shoot things really far away and hit his targets. Aisha Clan Clan(Klan Klan)(something like that) from Outlaw Star. shes some kind of cat creature that has a high sense of pride, and doesnt like to take any crap from anyone Rei Ayamani from Evangelion. ive watched the whole thing, but shes still an enigma my all time favorite would be...oh hell...i dont know! ice-kitsune Posted December 3, 2004 Share Posted December 3, 2004 favorite character...? that's a real tough one... i really dont have A favorite. it just usually depends on what im obsessing over at the moment. for now im crazy about some guy named Misonou Kai and his a total hottie... there's also Ousaka Chris, Hamura Shou, Mizuochi Sena, Wakaba, Uesugi Nagi and last but not least Aoki Naoto... losts of names... i know... well those are the people whom im obsessed with for the time being. still all the other animes are great too. im just not going crazy over them for now but ill make my way back. If you absolutely [i]must[/i] make a favorites thread, it's a good idea to narrow things down a bit--for example, limiting the field to "favorite mecha pilot" or "favorite shoujo heroine." Topics which lay out clear restrictions like that almost always produce better results and a more involving discussion than the generic "favorite anime character" topic that seems to pop up month after month. As always, you are welcome to private message me or one of the other moderators if you have any questions, comments or concerns. Thanks!
