From the Records of Sister Elmst, Recorder of Redwall Abbey, Mossflower County

This season has been hard. So many things around the Abbey have been going wrong. All of our strawberries and pears have died due to the extreme heat. Many Dibbuns have been diagnosed with heat stroke, and one or two lay on their deathbed. It has been frantic for Sister Franc, from the Dibbuns, to the heat stroked workers, to the sun poisoned forest dwellers; she has had her hands full. We have sent in as many workers as we could afford, but it doesn?t seem to be enough. The sick ward has overfilled long ago. We now must place our sick in the dormitories and in the large platform beneath the Matthias and Methuselah bells. It takes all the hands in the Abbey just to get water and food to the sick. Even now, I should be helping, but I must document all this so that others may know what befell our Abbey in the Summer of Disappearing Fruit.

Another depressing event in our Abbey concerns our Champion and Abbot. Just last season old Abbot Jericho passed away, leaving Abbot Kende in his place. Kende is a very well trained Abbot, but he too has been hit with sickness. Unlike the others, he has very different symptoms. His fur has started to fall out, and his tongue has turned a dark purple. His tail has shriveled considerably, and his pupils are very small. We fear the worst, and only time will tell. Our last Champion Nedles fell in battle two seasons ago, and he left the Sword of Martin, and is legacy on the shoulders of Leande. Leande is very young, and unlike most of the others, he is reserved and only talks when spoken. I personally believe that someone older should be the Champion, but Kende says that Martin has told him that Leande is the one.

Leande just three days ago left with Farra and Heth, the twin hares, to go to the badger mountain Salamandastron to ask for aid. I fear for their safety, and I also fear for Lady Bowsnap if she refuses. Leande has been very distant and angry these past days, and I think that Farra and Heth are the only ones that Leande won?t kill on sight. They have had the same aura as Leande, although they chose to keep it to themselves.

It seems like the only glimpse of hope we have is that of our friend Gruth. He is a young owl hat found himself a home here. He came about three seasons ago after stoats killed his parents. He could barely fly, and it took Sister Franc about two days before he would eat again. He now has grown into a great asset to our Abbey and has pledged his services to us. He has announced that today he will fly of in search of our various friends: the moles, otters, and Guosim shrews. I have bid him a good flight, and now I sit here telling all you. In all it seems like a dark shadow has fallen over our abbey. I bid you warning good travelers. Stay clear of Redwall, lest you be cast into the darkness that now seems to cloud all our thoughts and actions. I fear for your safety and your sanity.

Signups!

Obviously, this isn?t a really happy and prosperous time for the Redwall Abbey. I hope that beyond that, everyone will have fun. I will not be picky with the signups, so signup!
One thing, I will accept about two signups for each group out of the Abbey. (Otter, Mole, Guosim and Salamandastron) If there are already two signups for the spot you want, challenge them. I will pick the best signups. The only drawback is that you cannot signup as Leande, I have him.

I love the Redwall series, Brian Jacques is a genius!

Name: Ferth

Age: 18 seasons (Editted for the second time! This one's final XD)

Species: Squirrel

Appearance: Ferth is a happy grey squirrel, with a large bushy tail, small ears, a white muzzle tipped with a black nose. The one thing that singles him out from the rest of his species is his eyes, whereas most grey squirrels have black/brown eyes, Ferth's are a golden colour, really strange for any small animal.

He usually dresses in a green, sleeveless shirt, with brown shorts and a green hat, worn sideways giving the young squirrel a comical look.
Ferth would be described as a fit youth as he always helps out around the abbey, grateful for what they have done for him. He has strong arms that help him to fight and strong legs, making him an excellent climber (squirrels aren't too good with the running thing).

Bio: Ferth doesn't remember much of his past up until about 10 seasons ago. He remembers rain and thunder and a dark sky around him, soaked through, his fur matted and stained in blood and vomit.
He was lying on the steps of the abbey, coughing and knocking the door weakly with the hilt of his sword.

It was a while before the noise alerted any of the residents, but eventually the door was opened and Ferth was rushed inside.
After that, he passed out.

He then remembers waking up to the smell of honey and warm oats, a smile spread across his kind features as who saw a large badger woman serving him breakfast.
He was told to rest and that his injuries were quite severe, but within a few days he would be ready and well.

After a few seasons, Ferth was truly accepted as one of the Redwall family, making friends with quite a few of the sisters and even passing words with the late Abbot, it was a tragedy for the young squirrel when he passed away.

In the last 2 seasons, Ferth has befriended Leande to some extent, usually training with him or annoying him...whichever he's in the mood for.
Despite his carefree and usually annoying nature, Ferth is very well liked among the abbey and he always tries to help, he is a decent fighter and a very good cook...not to mention dancer, Ferth loves to celebrate.

I hope being friends with your character was okay ^_^ If you want anything changing, then just tell me.

Name: Kinna

Age: 16 seasons (Thanks for clearing this up!)

Species: Otter

Appearance: Kinna is a very slim otter, with the wiry muscles and powerful tail. She?s fast, and a powerful swimmer. Her eyes are a bright blue-green, and she has matching silver stripes down from her eyes, across her neck, to her chest. The rest of her fur is a deep red-brown.

The young otter maid usually wears a pair of loose brown breeches, and an open, belted tunic. Her left ear has a small nick in it, while the other is slightly larger, folding over in the middle.

Bio: Niece of Skipper, Kinna has lived at Redwall Abbey her whole life. She, like the rest of the otters, has the famous love for hotroot soup, but she especially favors the moles deeper?n?ever pie. Quite the comical little Dibbun, she was always getting into trouble. She was often the one that led the other Dibbuns around, dragging them through mud puddles, skipping baths, and so forth.

Kinna?s favorite game, though, was to run along the wall tops, racing the others. No one could keep up with her. Of course, the Abby babes would all scamper down once the wall guard caught sight of them.

When Ferth came to the Abbey, Kinna instantly took a liking to the small grey squirrel. She never really got to talk to him, though, as she was shy around new comers. Her closest friends, Juniper and Gabby, are always talking about him, and Kinna tends to tune out. Kinna and the rest of the otter?s just came back from their traditional trip to the beach.

^__^ Its been a while since one of these was started. This will be so much fun! (By the way: Juniper is a squirrel maid, and Gabby is a mole. Anyone can play them.)

Name: Laterose (Rose)
Age: 17 Seasons (I'n not old ::shakes fist:: )
Species: Mouse
Apearance: The object of main affection in Redwall Abbey. Rose has sleek white fur and a rather long pink tail. She is slim and lanky, with long wiry arms and legs. Her ears are large and usally pulled back with a white and skyblue headband. Rose's eyes are hazel, the green and brown mixing together in perfect equalization.

The young maiden usually wears sky blue tunic with jaggedy cuts where the long sleeves once where, and faded brown breeches. Her tail, often compared the Cluny the Scourge's due to the length, much to Rose's distaste, is usually curled around her slim frame like a pink belt. She has no scars or marks, due to a peaceful childhood at the Abbey.

Biography: Named after the beautiful wife of the great Martin the Warrior, Rose has certainly lived up to her namesake. She is the most celebrated singer in the Redwall Abbey, and there is no mistaking she is exceptionally pretty.

Rose was born in the abbey, and has never left it in her life. She has many friends, of all species, who are drawn to her witty, sarcastic sense of humor, and her somewhat unscheduled bursts of hyperactivity that got her into trouble alot while still a young dibbun.

She learned the art of archery at a young age, her parents thinking her build and stealth would be helpful, and also a way to keep her in one space for more then a few moments. Now, at 64 seasons, she can shoot any target at any length away without taking a second to aim.

At almosy every feast in the abbey, Rose and Ferth, a grey squirrel whom Rose is on friendly terms with, go to the front of the hall. Rose to sing, and Ferth to dance, and usually Rose dances along with him. Rose's voice, ("the voice of the dear Laterose herself," the brothers and sisters tell her often and affectionately ) can make her fellows cry and laugh with her.

Although her sarcastic and sometimes mean sense of humour has made more then one dibbun run crying to it's mother, Rose is extremely caring and soft to anyone who shows the slightest need for it. She is carefree, quick, and one of the most talented young archers in Redwall.

I hope this is ok, I haven't read all of the series as of yet, but I think I know enough to get through the RPG, lol.

Ooooo, a Redwall RP!

Name: Skipper
Age: 38 Seasons
Species: Otter
Appearance: Skipper has a powerful tail and is well built for an otter, since most of them are generally wiry and slim. His eyes are bright green, with dark brown fur, and a slight silver lining that runs down from his nose to his torso. He generally wears a snug dark-blue belted tunic, with a stone sling hanging from the belt.

Bio: Like all his ancestors of the same namesake, Skipper is the leader of the otters in Mossflower. Unlike several of his predecessors, he was raised as a Dibbun at Redwall Abbey. He grew up there until he reached the age where he could venture out into the rivers and to earn his place among the otters. He trained himself until he swam faster than any other otter in the tribe and was also an expert in the preferred otter weapons, the two-sided otter javelin and the sling.

When Kinna was born, Skipper was extremely fond of his niece and decided that she also should grow up in the wonderous Redwall Abbey. Even though she gave the caretakers at Redwall grief as a Dibbun, she was always delighted when her uncle came to visit. Skipper gave her the occasional high speed river swim, by having Kinna hold tightly onto him as he swam swiftly through the currents.

However, things didn't remain so calm and peaceful when the the Summer of Disappearing Fruit arrived and the events that happened early during that season. He loved Abbot Jericho throughout his life, as a Dibbun to his current position as Skipper of the Otters, so his death was a blow to him. He was also devastated when fellow comrade and Redwall Champion, Nedles, fell in battle against a large bandit army not more than three creature lengths away from him.

Currently, his tribe and their age-old allies, the Guosim shrews, are separately scouting around all of Mossflower to see how bad the season treated the land and the gentlebeasts that live around the area.

Um, I hope this is okay. I'm not sure about the part when Nedles fell in battle, so tell me if I need to modify this. ^^
Oh, and Rhian, I hope this bio doesn't contradict anything you put for Kinna.

EDIT: Okay, fixed the age. Now if only everyone else will follow suit. ^^

Ooh, wow. These are looking very good. Hopefully I will get a signup for Salamandastron, Moles and the Guosim. If not I can take over that. So far we have:
3 Abbey signups
Crucifix
Rhian
Muse

1 Otters Signup
Luibei013

Depending on the number of signups, I am thinking that everyone is in. I will allow one more Abbey, and one more otter, before the cutting will be made.

Note: The bad guys will be exposed soon, but I want it to be a surprize. :)

EDIT: Since that was squared away.... I am currently waiting for two signups, and I will start this up probably by Saturday. The Underground thread, I hope will be up by Friday. -_- Cheers all.

Guest Midnight Rush
Name: Colonel Vincent "Wolfdeath" Le Channay Beauregard

Age: 40 seasons

Species: Hare

Appearance: Body is covered with scars from old battles, one of his ears is half severed and seems to flop about on its own. His right eye was gauged out by a sea-rat captain, and to this day he wears that captain's eyepatch. He is probably the biggest hare on the long patrol, and certainly the oldest.

Bio: The indirect decendent of Perigord, the Southpawed Slayer, he grew up surrounded by tales of the famous Long Patrol. As soon as he was able, he joined, and worked his way through the ranks, primarily through his prowess in battle. His exploits are famous, from the numerous skirmishes with sea-rats, to singlehandedly slaying a wolf, and everything in between, this old campaigner is one hell of a guy.

Or was. He is starting to feel his age, his famous twin sabers aren't as fast as they used to be, nor does he run as fast and as hard as he used to. One thing though, unlike others his age, he hasn't lost the twinkle in his eye. He still believes he has something left to prove, and although his body isn't quite where it was years ago, his experience and toughness are unmatched.

These days he leads patrols only occasionally, spending most of his time drinking with his Lord and longtime friend, Lady Bowsnap. They speak long and hard of the past, reliving old battles, remembering old friends... both knowing that they haven't much time left for campaigning... and yet, they feel as if one last glorious adventure awaits them before retirement.

The Longrunners three seasons ago reported romours of an enigmatic, growing evil from the deep South. Wolfdeath had immediately requested to march South and kill things, but Lady Bowsnap forced him to be patient. One season ago, the rumours from the south increased, and an odd visitor tipped Salamandastron off to something brweing in the north.

It had been an ancient mouse, he looked like an ex galley-slave, but he was too old to have escaped. He wore a ragged cloak and always spoke in whispers, constantly repeating something about "him". The old mouse died in the care of the infirmary, leaving Vincent and Bowsnap perplexed.

Facing uncertainty in every direction, the worn and wary Long Patrol (just three seasons past fighting an armada of sea-rats under the command of Gumad Sinfang) is concerned about the future. No gentle beast is safe, the patrols are stretched to the limits, supplies are running low, and there is no concrete evidence of anything.

Other than something terribly evil is on the way.

Vincent "Wolfdeath" Le Channay Beauregard is up for the challenge.

Name: Rutt
Age: 23 seasons
Species: Otter
Appearance: Rutt is a strong otter, though he doesn't have huge muscles poping out of his fur and he is a little bit shorter than his other friends. Unlike the others in the otter tribe, Rutt has coal black fur and know white fur that goes down his belly and under his strong tail. He is very swirft both in land and in water and is good with camoflause because of his dark fur. He usually wears a dark green tunic with a black belt. On his back, usually hidden under his shirt is a large diagonal scar. He keeps stones and sling in his belt and across his back he keeps his favorite weapon that no other otter uses, a glaive, the staff part made of a wolfs bone.
Bio: Rutt was born far away from Redwall, actually, he wasn't even born on the land. Rutt was born on a ship owned by evil rat crusaders who had taken his mother as a prisoner, she (supposably) died giving birth to Rutt and he was raised as a slave on the ship with other prisoners.
Rutt was at first a small, weak dibbun. Usually taking food trays and other supplies to his "masters", who would constantly beat him just to see him shake in pain. But, the life at sea started to pay off for Rutt. Most of the beasts on the ship were old and the years of being on the ship had made them weak with injuries. Rutt on the other hand was young, and over time his muscles built up and he was as strong as most of the sea rats on the ship. He even learned to fight with blades. Instead of putting him with the rowers, the Captain placed Rutt up in mast where he would let out the sails or bring them back in. It was dangerous work, every once in a while a clumsy rat would fall to his doom, but Rutt practically never even slipped.
When Rutt was 15 seasons, he decided it was time for him to escape from the trechory of the sea and set out to find the place where he belonged. Though escaping wasn't very easy. Rutt had attempted to steal one of the small row boats but the Captain saw him sneeking around on deck and gave Rutt a thick slice to the back with his sword, leaving a terriable wound and scar. Rutt claims that he still feels pain on his back at times.
Rutt did eventually escape when a mutany occured on the ship, though he wsn't able to take the row boat land was close by and he swam for half a day before he reached the sand of the beach in the shadow of a large mountain.
Though extreamly weak, Rutt dragged himself away from the large mountain. Reaching the cover of the forest, Rutt slept for what seemed like days, when he awoke he decided to find a stream where he could get a bite to eat, while attempting to catch a fish, a triifying sight approached Rutt. It was a large wolf, much bigger and stronger than Rutt. It had a terriable wound in its side as it approached Rutt. Rutt only remembers looking into the wolfs yellow eyes seeing pain, anger, and insanity. Though he can't truely recall what happened, he did know the the wolf was killed when a large stone shattered it's skull.
Rutt made the glaive he know had out of the wolf's bones. Rutt followed the stream he had found South until it lead into a river. While there he met the first sign of peaceful creatures, a tribe of otters. He was so happy to find them that he fainted on sight and woke up in something soft, with blankets and pillows.
Rutt joined up with Skipper and the otter crew when he was 16 seasons. He has never told anyone about his horrable past, though he has mintioned things about ships and cosairs to Skipper a few times.
Now, older and stronger with a good life, Rutt is second in command under Skipper and is expected by many to take his place when the time comes.

Name: Wayward
Age: 15 seasons
Species: Shrew
Appearance: Wayward has short brown fur with dirty white belly. He is quite tall for somebody of his age and species. Incidently his pointy nose is also quite long. For someone who eats half his weight every day he is also slim (well, compared with other shrews), this only adds to his elongated appearance. He usualy wears a worn out yellow west, that looks a bit like a life preserver with leather belt tied after crossing his stomach two times.. There are five black spots on the back of it, in style of a leopards fur. He also wears brown shorts up to his knees.
Bio: Coming from Guosim Wayward has spend a lot of time in Redwall. When he was still a young dibbun his mother decided that wondering around wasn't good for him, so she left him in the abbey for a winter, hoping that there he would learn to be more obediant as he was very mischievious and naughty. Her hopes did not come true. If anything there he became more unruly.

While in redwal he made new friends, found new ways to annoy elders, but most importantly he met wariors. Knights of every kind and species lodged in Redwall. Wayward would listen to their vivid stories and wish to himself to become a warior one day. He secretly practices using his leather belt as a whip. He does this in secret because last time he made a public display, it ended in tears and a dibbun almost lost an eye. That incident made him a bully in the eyes of some elders.

He stayed Redwall every winter, joining his family for the rest of the year. However a spring three seasons ago, when Guosim came to Mossflower they had some terrible news. His family were amongs those slaughtered when lizards attacked their party.

This changed the young shrew. He decided to stay in the abbey for good, spending more and more time away from his friends, practicing his whiping skills in some rarely used vine cellar or a barn. Waiting for a day when he gets to use these skills
