Anyways, I'm thinking of making a vampire rpg, and I want some opinions on the time, (futuristic, modern, in the past, etc.) I've already discussed the location with someone else, and we decided that it would be Scotland. (Perfect setting, no?) Anyways, if anyone would be willing to play in this rpg, I need some pictures for your main characters. I already have 2, (and 2 more reserved,) so I need 3 or 4 more pictures. I will base the story around these characters, so choose your pictures wisely! Also, don't just post a pic, tell me about your character. (I don't want this thread to get closed.) Thanks! I'll probably post the sign up next week. (Also, just because you post your picture here, doesn't mean that you'll automatically have a spot in this rpg. I think it would be good if you had the main characters and you had different boards for different eras like the past ad the present so you could almost be doing flashbacks. But probably mainly set in the present.

Name: Luc (Actual name: Jacques Lucien Forbes)
Age: 217
Background:The youngest son of five brothers born to a wealthy french merchant and his wife, the daughter of a lord during the time of the French Revolution. The family fled to England where they lived with Luc's uncles, the twins Pierre and Claude. Pierre was turned in Spain three years before Luc met him and turned Luc when he was twenty one after a lengthy disappearance (about seven years). After this happened, Luc killed his eldest brother whilst attempting to turn him too but succeeded in turning his sister-in-law, Evelyn (formerly Lady Evelyn Ramsay).
They travelled around Europe for a time but Luc returned to the British Isles alone and decided to look up a [I]very[/I] old 'friend' in Scotland.

(This is actually all part of a novel I'm attempting to write. So far, I'm not even up to the bit where Luc's uncle turns him ^^)

Hey, this is a great idea to do an RPG on vampyres. Can't wait. i would like to join, as my own RPG didn't exactly get good responses (on a different site), because no one knew what one was!!!!! Except Archangel 9. Thankies darlin' by the by.

Name: Corbin Mortimus Shadows.
Age: 135
History:The only surviving son of a rich merchant, Corbin was considered the heir to the estate, as all of his older brothers had died of an illness when Corbin was eight. His sister were all caught up in the lives of rich merchants and balls, and cared very little of Corbin since his birth and so either ignored him or tried to order him around. Because of this, Corbin is a quiet person, and will only talk when necessary. He tends to hide his true feelings from all, though Luc can often determine them with ease. Lived in Ireland, until the age of 19, on a large and wealthy farming estate. Then, quickly after the chance meeting between Corbin and Luc during the night of Corbin's 19 birthday, he was turned and became a student of his '[I]sire[/I]'. Luc liked the simialrities between himself and Corbin and thought that maybe Corbin would finally be some one who shared his opinion of the world's life. But it was not to be the case as later Corbin became wayward, and struggled to find what he once saw in the world, and so travelled the world in search of his answer. For the last five years Corbin has remained in Ireland, until he travels cross channel to Scotland for some business, strangly meeting up with Luc again by acident, as the other had been searching for Corbin.

History: Sampson is a pureblood vampire, of Russian decent, who grew up the son of the famed Sebastian Korlofski, dreaded scourge of Russia. Living in his fathers shadow, not much attention was given to Sampson, so he strived to overpower his father. But, before he could, his fahter and his armyies were defeated, scattered and broken. His father was slain, at the hands of the imfamous Van Hellsing. Most of the Vampires had been killed, but the ones of high blood, like Sampson, were sealed away. Sealed away in a temple, tucked away in the mountians of a country known as Transylvania. And so they remained. Untill the day that a team of archeologists discovered them. Sampson was the only one freed, he sloughtered the excavators and destroyed the other Vampires sealed away. He had no use for such fools. And so, Sampson, son of Sebastian the Scourge, Vampire, and destined King, stalked out of the mountainside, never to return.

Lisette grew up in a cottage near the edge of a forest in France. She had a grandmother who lived in the heart of the forest. Her mother would send her there once a week to bring food to the ailing old woman.

Once, just four days after her last visit, her mother bid her to visit her grandmother once again. She set off for the cottage with just her gray riding hood and a basket of pastries. But when she got there, all she found was a burnt house. A wolf appeared from the embers and said he was the Devil himself. Her grandmother was offered up to him by her mother in exchange for a pile of gold; a lifetime of prosperity in return for Lisette. She became a vampire at age 16.

She went back to her mother and hacked the woman to death with a hatchet. Little respect remained in her, just enough to wipe the blood off her mother, staining the once gray cloak red. She buried her under the roots of a fire tree and set no marker for her mother?s grave.

Her eternally youthful countenance attracted a myriad of lovers which included a significant number of men (and women) in power. Pretty soon, she had enough wealth to be counted in as one of the nouveau riche.

She moved to Scotland in the 52nd year of her immortal life to a mansion given to her by one of her patrons.

Background: Born in Manhattan, New York, She was bitten when she was fourteen years old. She has since then gone through some very big events, causeing her to lose family and friends in the process. Has been to both Japan and China, and taught Material arts and Sword skills, she is now trying to live out a normal life in Manhattan.

[size=1][color="#993366"]This thread is a little too chaotic so I'm going to close it. Why, might you ask? Well, let me explain.

There is no story. All I see is that it's based on anime pictures of characters that various members have created, there are vampires involved, and it's set in Scotland. While it is a start, it certainly isn't enough to be taken as a finished product. All RPGs must have three or four paragraphs of backstory if they are to exist in the Inn.

Now, this could be because this thread orginally started in the Underground and it wasn't meant to be any kind of recruitment thread. I'm getting the idea that Sonata was going to create a story off of characters that people "donated" to her idea. But people got confused, thinking this was where they actually had to sign up, which of course led to moving the thread into the Inn. I could be wrong, but the very fact that there's this much confusion over it is enough for me to close it down for now.

Sonata, if you'd like to rework this a little and make your intentions a little more clear (while of course following all of OB's rules ^_~) then I don't see why you can't try this again.

On a different note, I'd like to advise a few of you to be mindful about the quality of your posts. Not just in terms of grammar and punctuation, but also in creativity and detail. Because I don't know exactly what this thread [i]is[/i], I can't really go into specifics. So just pay a little more attention to your posts. ^_^;

Also, Archangel 9, I'd appreciate it if you read through the Inn's stickies. We don't tolerate one-line posts in the Arena, especially within recruitment threads. If you have any questions or comments about the RPG, please PM them to the creator, who can either PM you back or add additional information to the thread. This helps to keep the thread clutter free so that those who are looking for certain details won't have to worry about sifting through all the spam.
