Anime Nurse Witch Komugi

I was just watching the first two episodes of this anime on the Anime Network On Demand, and I must say, I thuroughly enjoyed it. I'm still trying to figure out whether it's an OVA series or a TV series, or if it's both in which case I need to find out which one AN is showing, but I have learned for sure that it's a spin-off of a series called Soul Taker.

The plot is relatively simple, and has to be so in order to just go crazy like this series is. It's about this cosplay idol named Komugi (GASP, SHOCK!) who somehow gets these weird powers to transform into a nurse witch and fight again viruses, sent by her best friend, who is, of course, posessed. Trust me, it [i]is [/i]relatively simple. -.-

I'm reluctant to say that the series is similar to Excel Saga, because Excel is much more random and overall just insane, but they are both those kind of silly anime that insult the plot line and stuff, haha. It is a very funny anime, at least in my opinion, and I recommend that you go and see it. The animation is also spectacular, with kind of this silly, clear, and modern feel to it.

Now I'm just wondering if/when the series is out on DVD so I can buy it. :o

I'm not normally into parody anime, but I'm determined to see this simply because I love Soul Taker (which also has wonderful animation) and because [strike]Kogumi[/strike] Komugi is an awesome character. Soul Taker is a dark, quirky show that makes perfect sense if you just sort of sit back and accept everything it throws at you. Although it was released by Geneon, ADV actually hired some of Soul Taker's original voice actors to come back and reprise their roles in Komugi. I really respect them for going the extra mile to preserve continuity.

If I recall correctly, this OVA is five or six episodes long. However, there was at least one other unlicensed Kogumi OVA the last time I checked. :)

Okay, first off, Nurse Witch Komugi-chan is a new anime that I am now obsessed with. (I made my own Komugi-chan avatar above since there was none)

It's genred as: Comedy, Ecchi, Parody (It's not a dirty anime either, so don't worry :animeswea )

Komugi Nakahara (Main character) is a cosplayer with a flat chest. :animeswea she is really Nurse Witch Komugi-chan and is rivals with Koyori.

I'm not the best with descriptions, so if you really want to know about this series, then look it up on google or something like that. :animeswea

I'm a huge fan of Soultaker, but I was disappointed by this show. I kept on hearing how funny it was, but the only parts that made me laugh were hearing Shiro call Komugi a "piss-ant little girl" and watching them make fun loli fans. The rest was meh.
