Adding Buttons

[COLOR=DarkSlateBlue][SIZE=1]I hope this goes here instead of in the Technical Support section, sorry if it doesn't.

Lots of my friends on TheOtaku are adding buttons and links to other friends on their pages. A couple of friends have links and buttons to my site and I feel guilty for not putting them on mine.
I really want to, but I have no idea what the code to use is, I've looked at ImageShack to see if it had one of the codes, but I don't see anything.

I never was very good with this kind of stuff, lol.

If someone could please tell me how to add link buttons to myOtaku page it would be much appreciated, thanks.[/SIZE][/COLOR]

[color=darkblue]Well, first of all, you have to have an image to act as the anchor for the button. Once you have an image, use this code to place it on your page (taking out the spaces except for the one between "img" and "src"):

After that, place the code for the link around the image tag, which is this (taking out the spaces except for the one between "a" and "href" in the first tag) :

< a href =put url here> put link text/image here < /a>

When you're done, it should look something like this:

< a href= url>< img src=" url here">

It should work. I had buttons set up like that on my site for quite some time, but I recently got rid of them. If you have any more trouble, just PM me and I'll write the code for you so you can just paste it into your Introduction or wherever.[/color]
