Anime Opening Sequences that BLEW YOUR MIND!

My two personal favorites are Kaleido Star and Legend of Black Heaven. The opening for Kaleido star is a fun little techno-ish song, so it's automatically cool. Black Heaven is awesome!! The opening is him playing his electric guitar, so ya...I like em! I'd recomend Black Heaven to anyone, but Kaleido Star is meant more for the girls. :D

Watching it after knowing everything didn't really do anything.[/color][/size'][/font][/quote]Since I love you so much, Azure, I went through and studied the Eva opening theme. >:| And I found.. alright, I remembered it with more symbolism, honestly, that's my bad. :p It is a very trippy opening, though, so if you haven't seen the series all the way through, you'll be very confused, and I think something that my friend remarked when he first saw it made my thoughts jumble a bit. I still think it's pretty cool, both because I can appreciate all of the pictures and because I think it's a cool theme song, even though the up beat isn't followed in the series.

I love 'You Get To Burning' from Nadesico, but the animation that acompanies it isn't particularly extraordinary. Something like Big O, on the other hand, I just ignore completely because the song and animation get on my nerves ^_^;

My favourite opening sequence I've seen would have to be the one to Outlaw Star. The artwork, the music, the editing... it's absolutely fantastic. And even after seeing it so many times I didn't realise that the starry background in the second image is in the shape of Gene's head/face. The way the photos are put together is really nice, too, and I think they add a certain amount of depth to some of the characters. I like title sequences that don't just comprise of clips from the series, and I don't think OS had any.

Trigun's is another that I like, even though it focusses almost completely on Vash. Not that that's a bad thing- the shots they have of him reek of cool-ness, but there isn't an awful lot to show off his more chaotic, funny side, save for when he catches the sandwich in his mouth while being shot at through the building.

I think 'Hemisphere' is what makes RahXephon's opening so appealing to me- I adore the song, but the animation really serves just to accompany it- on its own I wouldn't consider it breathtaking.[/COLOR]

The saxophone flourishes were really nice in the Nadesico opener, so i liked that, and the Vandread Second Stage opener, "Justice" was catchy as well...I really liked the singer's voice, too...now that I think of it, the singing on both of those sounds a bit similar, or maybe its all in my head and too much coffee messing with my brain...any help here? My wife has my Vandread so I can't reference it...

The OP of cowboy bebop was what got me into anime. I was on spring break with my friend, and we were back in our room one night and i was watching adult swim bc i didnt feel like sleeping... i saw the intro to bebop and fell in love instantly. I then started watching it on a regular basis and now i like almost every anime i see. (i say almost bc i still abhor db and lupin the 3rd... *ducks in case ppl throw things*)

Unfortunately i'm pretty much unaware of any anime that's not on [as], so i'm basically a total n00b. I really like neon genesis' opening too... that song just gets stuck in your head.

For some reason the OP of Noir made me want to watch. I really liked the tango kindof music and the girls with guns were awesome, they killed everone LOL.

The OP of Inuyasha was good also great music and you can tell alot on the characters even by watching to intro!

i would have to say that the all the OPs for full metal alchemist were great. i always say you can tell how good an anime is by its opening!
