The ruins were dotted with sorcerous runes and statues of dragons and other ancient beasts. The wind whistled softly, as if trying to not disturb anything. The two figures stopped at the entrance. One was covered in a dark cloak, hiding any and all features. The other man was dressed in a simple tunic, vest, pants, and boots. That person was a resident of a nearby village. He looked around fearfully, moaning and shaking with fright.

"H-Here are the ruins, stranger...oh...we shouldn't be here...this place is cursed..." the villager said, teeth chattering.

"Fine, you fulfilled your side of the bargain..." the cloaked figure said in a neutral tone. The person tossed a small bag of coins to the villager. The villager caught the bag and nodded his thanks as he ran off. After about fifty paces, the cloaked figure raised its right hand and pointed the palm towards the fleeing villager.

"Tear Apart Thee, O Dark Wind!" A blast of dark destructive energy swarmed toward the hapless villager and tore him apart. The cloaked figure then raised his palm upward, "To me!" The bag of coins teleported from the remnants of the villager back into the cloaked figure's hand. The person then turned and walked into the ruins, searching for a certain object of immense power.[/COLOR][/FONT]

[COLOR=Teal]The continent of Kielsalhima is dotted with mountains, forests, plains, villages, cities, and many ruins from a now-extinct race, the Heavenly Beings. But the most prominent location is the Tower of Fangs. The Tower of Fangs is the central institution for sorcerers where the young train to master their magic abilities while older sorcerers carry out their own agendas. Sorcerers who pass the Tower of Fangs' tests are distinguished with the famous pendant that shows a dragon perched on top of a sword. Despite several incidences regarding various beasts, misfiring experiments, and rogue sorcerers, the Tower of Fangs continued to prosper.

However, during one windy night, the clairvoyant sorcerer, Lai, noticed an emergence of power. He, however, couldn't pin down the location of the emergence. All he knew was that a Heavenly Beings artifact, the Hand of Hielien, otherwise known in various ancient texts as the Gauntlet of Darkness, was involved.

But the Tower of Fangs wished to maintain discretion in these events, so the higher level and generally more well-known sorcerers couldn't actively investigate. The Elders of the Tower of Fangs decided to choose an upcoming young sorcerer as well as a team of students to go out and investigate for them...[/COLOR]

[COLOR=Blue]Okay, this is a new RPG I made up that is based on the anime series Sorcerous Stabber Orphen as well as the second season. However, instead of using the main characters, I wanted more freedom for any RPers who wanted to join in and create their own characters. Spells, locations, and other stuff is based on the anime, but don't worry if you didn't see them. I'll provide additional info without spoilers to both series in an Underground Thread once I get a few signups.

In a nutshell, the Tower of Fangs wants its students to investigate and search for the Hand of Hielien. I will play the role of the main young sorcerer while everyone else signs up for various student positions. More details below...

Appearance: Pic or description (in the Tower of Fangs, students from ages 6-12 wears light red robes, 12-16 green robes, and graduates wear dark-blue robes. Once their journey begins, the students will wear more 'civilian' clothing, so add that into your description.)

Magical Strength: (Okay, this refers to your strongest magic(s). Even though most sorcerers can use a variety of spells, they're usually stronger in one type or the other, but it doesn't mean you have to only use spells of that type. Okay, there are elemental magics: Fire, Earth, Water/Ice, Wind, Light, and Darkness. There's also Teleportation, Clairvoyance(can see near future events as well as track people), Melee, Protection, Healing, and Destruction magics. You can list one or two magic types your character is especially good at.

Weapon: (Ah, this portion is optional. Some sorcerers carry a weapon around, lots don't. So this is entirely up to you. Just keep it relatively medieval. So no stuff like missiles and guns...besides, being able to shoot deadly light out of your hand is better than a pistol, eh? :laugh: )

Bio: A paragraph or two is more than enough. ^^

As mentioned before, if I get some signups, I'll put up an Underground thread with info like NPCs, towns/cities, and of course, a whole load of spells. :p

Personality: Like the element she can summon, Jalena is fiery, outgoing and unpredictable. You have to expect anything from her otherwise you'd get very surprised. Having fire at her control, she has a tendency to use it when angered, which isn't very often. Jalena is an experienced student and can use her powers effectively and efficiently.
Appearance:
Civilian: see bottom - without the wings
At Tower of Fang - wears blue robe
Magical Strength:
Fire -
1. Fire ball - Jalena summoned balls of fire to her hands and throws it at the enemy
2. Phoenix - Jalena summons the bird of flame and attacks the enemy with it

Weapon: Bow and arrow. Sometimes uses this combines with her powers.

Bio: Jalena was born with the gift of fire. The Tower of Fang recognised this and took her away from her parents as soon as they could. There she grew up, mastering her pyrokinetic powers and making friends. Sometimes she would show off and almost burn down the tower. For that she was punished. From then on, Jalena started to dislike the ways the sorcers taught them. It was too rigid for her liking. She wanted to be free and wild, travelling and meeting new people. However, she didn't want to run away and leave her friends behind. Her protective nature wouldn't allow her to do that. When the opportunity for her to escape the Tower came along, she took it without hesistation.

Oh, I didn't expect you to make up spells, but don't worry. It's fine by me, since that was something I wanted the people who signed up for this RP to do when we got started. I only meant that you put down your magic specialty or two, not specific spells. No harm done though. :)

Personality: Kaelar is a calm and intelligent young man. He holds to himself a set of principles, dictating virtue and honor. Like the magics he wield, he is quick and decisive in any situation. His strength and intelligence makes him one of the more powerful and dependable sorcerers of his level.

Appearance: (Wears blue robes in the Tower of Fangs) Well-built and tall, Kaelar has dark-blue eyes, which matches his hair color. His general traveling/civilian wear involves a grey short-sleeved collared shirt, with a green vest, and dark beige pants with heavy-duty boots.

Magical Strength: Wind and Teleportation Magics.
Weapon: Studded Knuckle Duster (kinda like those brass knuckles)

Bio: Kaelar had no particular ambitions as a young boy to rise quickly to the top. However, his abilities in both academics and applied magics speeded up his progress. Some Elders compared him to former student Krylancelo in some respects. Kaelar didn't care for any of that. After he passed the tests and got his Tower of Fangs pendant, he continued to hone his skills. He particularly preferred swift magics like wind and teleportation. And during these times, he clashed with some of the older sorcerers, some of whom carried out experiments in an uncontrolled fashion. Kaelar criticized things like high risk experiments and reckless accidents because he knew that sorcerers were also human, and mistakes would occur. Despite that, when the Hand of Hielien was seen through Lai's clairvoyance, the Elders couldn't find anyone better than Kaelar to lead the investigation.[/COLOR]

The only problem with this, is that her personality doesn't match her element. Some of the students don't trust her because of this. They think she's hiding a "darker side". Especially since she never wants to talk about her past. However, with the pain that she goes through sometimes when she uses her darkness magic, other people think she's fighting her darker moods.[/color][/size][/font][/center]

*smiles innocently* Yeah I do. Blame that on Witch Hunter Robin. I was going to do dark but I couldn't think of any spells that were as effective as fire. So yeah.

Sorry about that. The wording wasn't quite right but I was like. Ok, just put down some spells. How many are we allowed? I would like about 1 or 2 more. Buts 2's enough if that's all you want.

BTW, your charater sounds really cool. ;)

Yeah, I fixed the wording after I realized the possible misnterpretation, which you took. ^^;

As for number of spells...hmm...basically the idea I have is that you'll have a set of maybe 2 or 3 primary spells based on your magical strength and then a multitude of other spells covering other magic types to have variety and adaptibility. Each student/sorcerer will usually have at least one protection spell accessible to them, regardless of their specialties, just as an example.

I'll go through more details regarding access to spells once I create the underground thread. I'm going to wait for more signups as well as to take more time in getting info on spells, locations and stuff.
