Pet peeves

what really annoys you? makes you want to scream? tempts you to strangle the person doing whatever it is they are doing that bugs you? There are a lot of things that annoy me, including:

1. my two younger brothers
2. my friends gossiping about my other friends even though they are not my friends' friends
3. people not taking hints about certain things
4. people who won't shut up
5. not feeling comfortable talking to my friends

yeah, those are my top five. I would like to hear other people's pet peeves, so I can avoid making them angry :D

[COLOR=GREEN]I symathise with you about your brothers, I also have two younger ones and also one older one. Hum... let me see. What else gets me POed. Well I have to go with stupid people in general, espeically the ones who think they're smart or know what's going on, but really don't. I seem to encounter a lot of people like this, espeically, among my brothers' friends, but maybe I just have high standards for people :p Oh, and also, people who take the Bible at face value, who think everythingwritten in it should be taken literally.

Ok right now I only have one thing, my parents. Their solution to everything is to take away my social life. Thats how I get by during the day, I'm punk so I have to deal with my friends cutting themselves and stuff (I try to stop em and don't do it myself). If I don't socialize I get pestered by friends and it ruins my day. Sorry for being moderatly short, I'm happy right now.

People who drive around with their blinker on for 20 miles really get on my nerves. It gets even worse when the person goes about five miles below the speed limit and weaves around a bit. You never know whether you should try to switch lanes or not because the thought of your car being damaged just doesn't appeal to you.

Then there's those people who whip into your lane from somewhere else without their turn signal then go real slow. The bad thing about that is that if you rearend the idiot it's all your fault! :cussing: because you're supposed to have control of your vehicle at all times.

Oh and those jerks that tail gate you for a few miles then swerve around you and flip you the bird. The good thing about that is that if there's a light up ahead you can get your revenge by seeing them waiting at a red light :laugh:

Involuntary enlistment lengthenings ( I don't know the correct military term). As far as I know they aren't paying this hard working men and women more money to stay in the military longer than they signed on for so why should they be made to stay longer?

Congress pisses me off because they just decided this morning that first cav and fourth ID will have their tour of duty in Iraq extended for one more month to beef up security for the January elections. Yes, the increase of violence and insurgents really show that Iraq is ready for elections. If you want my opinion it's just one more month of putting your butt on the line for a paycheck that leaves you bellow poverty level if you're enlisted.

Pet peeves. There are so many little things that get on my nerves so I am going to just concentrate on one aspect of my daily life...The Otaku Lounge.

I am annoyed by people who start threads or respond to threads and do not follow the rules. They start spammy threads which results in spammy responses. They either don't stay on topic or hijack the thread. These people generally don't add anything to the topic at hand. Even worse, when they don't even bother to take the time to spell correctly or use proper capitalization and punctuation.

Flamers and trollers also get on my nerves. I hate it when people join message boards just to assert themselves under the cloak and protection of the internet. Usually these people are the same ones in a face to face discussion would never think of saying the same things they feel comfortable saying online.

People who play mod and "yell" at another member for doing something they feel is wrong. These members need to learn to use the "Report a thread" button in the post instead of playing mod.

I think that pretty much sums up my pet peeves.

Edit: I forgot to add one of my other pet peeves dealing with the OL and being online in general. People who try to make other members look bad by taking things out of context or try to read more into a post by assuming things.

1. People who are shallow enough to disregard points due to minor mistakes in spelling and punctuation while playing the faux intellectual by suggesting they are incapable of honest mistakes.

2. People who are critical of bad spelling and punctuation, but have trouble with sentence structure.

3. Internet big-dick syndrome caused by online positions of authority taken far too seriously.

4. People who take themselves too seriously.

There's nothing that pisses me off more than seeing people hated just because of their sexual preferance.
It's downright stupid.

5) Fashion/Beauty magazines.
6) Background music/every html trick possible in blog layouts.
7) People who go out of their way to fit a certain stereotype.
8) Rumours/Put-downs.
9) Having a slow motabolism. <- If that counts.
10) People who take advantage of trust.
11) Feeling when you wake up at 1pm after going to bed at 5-8am. x_x
12) Hot, sticky weather.
13) Lacking chapstick/dry lips.
14) Discrimination.
15) George W. Bush.

It bothers me when people say mean things about people behind their backs, especially when said people are close friends. Next is people outside being loud when I'm trying to sleep. The intensity of my hate increases as these people get close to me. The closer they get to me, the more I want to kill them. If someone blew smoke in my face, I'd kick them in the head. I can kick pretty hard, so they'd probably die. *imagines kicking smoker in the head after having smoke blown in his face* Yes, I'd enjoy that. Then I'd go to prison :( People smoke in prison, so I'd probably end up killing some prisoners. Then I'd be put in solitary confinement until they executed me.[/color][/font][/b]
