Shy Posted November 7, 2001 Share Posted November 7, 2001 I went to the doctors yesterday after a weekend of severe stomach pains. He told me I have an "Ulcer." Apparently an "ulcer" is a sore in the stomach that is caused by an unhealthy diet and stress. I have already started working on the diet but I can't seem to do anything about the stress part. What do you guys do to calm down and relax? Do you draw, watch tv, see a movie or what? Find a quiet place without people and scream 7. Excercise 8. Take a hot shower 9. Sleep 10. Find a person to scream at 11. Eat 12. Tickle yourself and laugh, or let someone tickle you 13. Krillen Posted November 7, 2001 Share Posted November 7, 2001 I suggest doing somthing that you like and also that your good at, somthing that wont piss you off. i play video games,skateboard,draw alot, watch tv, and mostly eat when im mad, when i get grounded the first thing i do is cook my self a dinner, and my moms like, eric what are you doing, you cant even make easy mac?! and im standing there marinating the salmon. im like........huh? dont worry girls im not fat! i have a very nice 6 pack god damnit!!! It's huge, and it makes a bridge. I just like sitting on it and meditating. I like training and I do it every day, but it's especially enjoyable when I'm angry or stressed out. Lady Macaiodh Posted November 7, 2001 Share Posted November 7, 2001 oh, i take 10 or 12 gravity bong hits or so..LOL seriously, though, i meditate, play my guitar, & write. then i have a nightcap before i go to bed. ulcers are caused by too much acid eating away at your stomach lining, did your doc give you medication/acid reducer? if not, you should take zantac, it worked wonders for me. If it's from too much work, then sit down listen to some soft music, do nothing, or go do something you reckon is fun.... something creative is good.... If it's from anger or something like that, then get a punching bag (or something like that) and hammer it.... do something to get rid of your anger.... I'm not sure if any of this is of any help.... Chaos Posted November 8, 2001 Share Posted November 8, 2001 No matter what type of stress(Peer, work((building a website for my friend, working on MBs, skool, ect.)), anything), I always go to this one spot outside in my back yard, and punch the fence til my hands a raw. It gets out A LOT of energy, and stress for that matter, and your hands will heal in about a day. I wouldn't recomend you do this with a chain-link fence. A punchin bag also helps. You might not want to use gloves, as the more pain you get out, the more stress you get out.
