I think there are a lot of good party games out there that could be enjoyed by everyone, according to the types of games you prefer to play. But, I prefer to play Super Smash Bros. Melee on the Gamecube. It is really fun to see all the Big N characters beat the crap out of each other.

For Xbox, I would have to say Halo, & Halo 2. Me and my friends stay up almost all night having Energy Sword fights, and air battles on the Banshee.

I can't really think of any Playstation 2 games, but I be back with an update!

A great multiplayer game was Final Fynasty Crystal Chronicles. My friends and I played this game all day. We had all picked the same tribe from which our characters came from. We chose the Silkies and started our adventure. This is a lot more fun when there are 4 characters on the field, destroying monsters left and right. Seeing that we are magic folk we had many spells at our disposal. finally after a grueling day we conquered the game. This is a great game but you need gameboy advances and the link cables for the GC to play multiplayer. This is a game for the ages.

Interesting, most interesting.

Well personally the best multiplayer game ever would be GoldenEye 64, I just found it to be a game that set the bar for all James Bond games to follow, as well at the multiplayer genre in general. I have to admit that apart from GoldenEye I haven't really played any games with a multiplayer aspect to write home about, Jedi Outcast had a pretty fun one too. There's just something about Force Powers that adds interest to the mix, that and lightsabers are always a plus.

Yeah GoldenEye on 64 was the best I've played with people because it was easy to pick up. A more strategic game that I really enjoyed was Myth I and II ont he PC. THos egames were a lot of fun. A sleeper pick that I always enjoyed was Super Bomber Man...those were so much fun.

Goldeneye was great for it's time, but it's sorta unplayable now, I'm having a LOT of fun with Halo 2 at the moment

What make's it even better is if there's 4 of you playing split screen you can go online and have the other 3 as guests and play against other people

My countdown would have to look something like this.... But remember, I don't have an X-box, and I haven't gotten any games in 2 months.

5. Mortal Konmbat Deadly Alliance: A great and fun fighting game. I love the multiple styles, and eccesive blood. I usually impale people, then Kick them, and go from there. I can't wait to pick up Deception, and next year Shaolin Monks.

4. Custom Robo: I know its flawed, and more than 2 players can give you targeting problems, but its still a great game. Jump around and blast the crap out of everyone. I'm actually writing a strategy guide for this game. Look for it on Game FAQs in a month or so.

3. Super Smash Bros. Melee: God, I love this game. Get togetjer with a few friends and beat the living crap out of Each other. I personally prefer Samus. The items are great, and the moves are ultimate.

2. Soul Calibur 2: Best fighting game I've ever played. Of course it helps that I kick major azz at this game. I lust break out Seung Mina, and beat the crap out of everyone, except Kilik and Link on occasion.

1. Phantasy Star Online: This is a great multiplayer. I have never played it Online, but me, my brother, and my friends can play 4 player for hours on end. I've actually never had a real marathon of games, since one of us always gets bored, but we have had a 7-hour marathon.

My idea of a great multiplayer game doesn't necessarily mean that they have to be of the "versus" quality, since I'd much rather play a co-op game. My favourite types are the side-scrolling beat 'em ups, but there are a ton of others that'd fit into the co-op category just as well.

When I say co-op though, I don't really mean competitive co-op games, like Four Swords Adventure, but rather the type where you have to watch your partner's back, and vice-versa, and team up effectively to clear the path. This can span anything from R-Type, to Contra, to Final Fight... just as long as I don't end up playing too competitively, if not then not at all, because I have a huge ego problem when it comes to winning, heh.

I can't believe I forgot about Phantasy Star Online!!! Me and my friends would slay monsters all day, but I never when online because of the fact that there is only two games that support it. I usually play Soul Calibur II on the Gamecube (Link 4-EVA!!! :D )
but it's great on all systems, more so now that they're all like $20 now...

The new Grand Theft Auto is a blast to play Multiplayer with, and so is Tales of Symphonia.

I'm Changing my top five.

5. Custom Robo

4. Mario Power Tennis: This game is too darn cool. I can play the multiplayer forever. Me and my brothers do four player matches for one or two hours every day. Not to mention Ive alomst beaten all o the one player mode. The only fault is the multiplayer mini games completely suck.

3. super Smash Bros. Melee

2. Soul Calibur 2

1. Phantasy star online 1&2
