9mm Avenger
Heh..Lol, I just thought of something. In the movie, when Jar-Jar said that Palapatine should be given emergency powers until the war is over? By saying that, the Gungan fast-forwarded Palaptine's rise to power! LOL! And Episode II did conflict. But mostly of Jango and Boba Fett. Isn't Boba Fett originally Jaster Mereel, growing up on Concord Dawn, then becoming Boba Fett? And the Slave 1 is a really old ship...Oy, my head is spinning...
Yoda
I don't believe Jango would have stood a chance against Mace, whether his jet pack was working or not. I mean, Mace is the second strongest Jedi alive... and everyone saw how impressive he looked in the fights. Regardless of Jango's skill, he couldn't have stood up to Mace realistically...... I mean, he's not Boba.
Guest Matt
Originally posted by Milliardo Anyway, the point is now you will have to throw out the notion about Owen to be Obi-Wan's brother--well, unless that comes up in Episode III.
Well, Obi-Wan could find out in Episode III that owen is his brother. This is because kids with Jedi potentail are taken away when they are babies, unlike Anakin. And it also looks like Obi-Wan is older than Owen, so Owen would know about Obi-Wan. And he probably was given a new name at the Jedi Temple, so Clieg Lars wouldn't recognise the name Obi-Wan. And I think that Boba's real name is....Boba! Because Jango would have called him Jaster and Jango's last name would have been Mereel, not Fett. So I think this is one example of when Lucas decided not to follow the EU. *EDIT* I just counted all my posts in this thread, this is my 120th post in here! :D Ya Star Wars! :D :D*EDIT*

The book is like the movie, except in paper form, and you do all the talking.(or listining...Whatever)It's pretty good if you want to read the book version, which has a few added scenes(paragraphs..whatever)I read it, and it wasn't a waste of my money. NorykoAngelcry
I also read the book, and with most books comes emotions not really able to be captured on screen. Looking back at the movie, I wish they added many of the scenes that were depicted in the book =/ Bummer they didn't, but who knows, perhaps some of the scenes might be included in the DVD version? ^_^ I sure hope they have a ton of deleted scenes like they did with the Phantom Menace (and not the type where you have to go scene by scene, I mean where the movie just has them in it).
Boba Fett
I know this is a little late(last page) but??? As for the Jango Fett /Jaster Mereel story it is mentioned as a rumor about Boba's past. This rumor states: Boba Fett was born as Jaster Mereel on the planet Concord Dawn, and then was banished for murdering another Journeyman protector. He left the planet and later turned up as Boba Fett. This rumor was disproved by Episode II. Here is the story that tells the real connection between Boba/Jango and Jaster. It is found in a SW comic book that came out last week. (Yes, I do collect the comics...) It turns out that shortly before the extinction of the Mandalorian warriors they split into two groups. One was lead by an evil man named Visla; he believed that the Mandalorians should conquer the galaxy. The other faction was lead by Jaster Mereel; his group believed the Mandalorians should remain elite mercenaries. Jango was 10 at the time and his family was pro-Jaster. So when Jaster needed a hiding place Jango's dad let him hide in the fields behind their house. Visla and his gang found out and captured Jango and his family. They threatened to kill them if they didn't hand over Jaster. When they refused Visla started to shoot Jango's family one by one. Jango watched his family die before his eyes. Then Jaster showed up and started shooting Visla's warriors. During the confusion Jaster rescued Jango and they escaped. Jango became an honorary member of the Jaster's Mandalorians and later he made his armor. Eventually Visla's faction died out. Sadly Jaster and all the other Mandalorians were killed during the Jedi raid on Gantoris many years later. So that is the Jango/Jaster connection (as far as I know). Guest Matt
Yes BabyGirl, you should read the book. It has a lot more scenes in it and some of the scenes that were in the movie (like Anakin killing the Tuskans) is more detailed. The love is also more detailed.
Boba Fett
Yes, read the book. I would tell you why, but I would spoil it for you. The book is much better thanthe movie, it contains details that, if added to the movie, would have made the movie much better. So read it. By the way, does anyone else here read or collect Star Wars comics?? Attachment is a bobble head, of Boba Fett........:wigout:

The novels are so awesome and it so cool to be able to see what happens and to have all those loose ends tied up. And the novels based on the movies are really good, too, because they are so much more detailed than a movie could ever want to show. I remember reading all those novels back in the beginning of middle school and I wish that I could go back and just start reading them all. BG, have you read The Courtship of Princess Leia? I'm pretty sure you have since your RPG character is from Hapes and you know all their history and so forth, but that is my favorite one for some reason. I love it when Han and Leia get together....*sniffles* Okay, I'll shut up now..
Guest Matt
If Jedi are not allowed to marry, how come Luke married Mara Jade in the books? I just thought of that....
Boba Fett
The Courtship of Princess Leia..... *digs through a pile of EU star wars novels and pulls it out* Yes, that was a good book. A female ruled society on Danthomir, and on Hapes?? Interesting........... Anyway, it was a ok book. Not the best(X-wing series), not the worst(Anything by Barbara Hambly  ). Just a typical book in my opinion........ Check out the attachment, it is very funny......
Wormmon's Tamer
I am currently reading TWO Star Wars books. Shadows of the Empire and Truce at Bakura(look at my location). I've read Courtship of Princess Leia. I liked when Teneniel kept trying to get Luke to fall in love with her. I thought that was pretty funny. Question: In what book does Luke get married???:help:
Guest Matt
I hated the Truce at Bakura. :sudders: I just watched the Empire Strikes Back again and I noticed something. I think all those years that Yoda had to be on Dagoba(sp?) alone made him crazy. If you watch the scene when Luke first meets Yoda, Yoda acts all stupid. He eats some of Lukes food, he throws stuff out of a crate, steals a flashlight, and hits R2D2 with his stick. He's crazy.
Boba Fett
Son Goten, I think he did that to test Luke's patience, understanding, and general niceness. Hey, if Yoda had stayed like that, I would have mistaken him for Jar-Jar's son  As for the Jedi & marriage problem. Some of the Jedi during the Old Republic were married, such as Ki-Adi-Mundi. That non-marriage rule seems to have benn lost to history. Luke certainly thinks so, he dosent teach it at the Jedi academy....

Guest Matt
Also, his homeworld is unknown. Yoda says there are more of his species, but he won't tell where. He is the only one of his species to ever be seen. His species could live farther out in space than anyone could go tho, cause Yoda did live to be 900 years old. So, in normal hyperspace, it might take a ship like 150 years to reach his planet. So no human could ever go there. But I don't know. I'm just imagining things again...
