Guest Matt
I finally have to admin it, AotC had horrible acting and script. I just watched it, and I was amazed at how bad it was. I guess I was in denial or something before.
Boba Fett
I think AOTC had an ok script, but the acting was not even close to par. The worst part of the movie for me was the cheesy, horrible scene where Padme and Anikan are in the cart, right before they are pulled into the arena. It made me sick... There were some scenes that were cut; that I think should have been included, such as Plo Koon and Ki Adi Mundi's commando raid on the droid control ship orbiting Geonosis (Spelling ?). I have also heard a rumor that the AOTC DVD can be purchased at Toys R Us for $9.99, is this true. If it is I am going to buy it there, since it is the lowest price I have seen to date...
Schrat
I highly doubt it, maybe $19.99. The lowest price I've seen is at circuit city- 14.

Hot on the heels Toys R Us who are selling the DVD for the $9.99, Wal-Mart stores are selling the DVD for $9.96 for two days only. CompUSA has joined the "less than $10" DVD brigade by pricing the DVD at $9.89.
Tis true. I got mine for $9.
Guest Anakin Solo
AOTC was an all right movie. As was TPM. But I think we could have done without the prequel(sp) movies. The original trilogy is better anyways. And those pieces of crap midi-chlorines or however you spell them. Not even hinted at in the Original Trilogy. Stupidest idea ever......So when I read the EU, I pay no mind to the prequel movies, they totally screw up TTT anyways. So ATOC was an all right movie....yeah...... By the way Matt, love the banner yo! Love the series as well. :D
Boba Fett
I went to both Toy's R Us and Wal Mart, and both stores were sold out of their Episode II DVDs... :angry2: :cussing: :bash: :grumble: Anyway, I guess I am going to end up buying it from some other store for twenty bucks. What a waste of money... Mitth'raw'nuruodo- For once I totally agree with you. The prequel movies have ruined just about everything that has been written in the EU. What is going to happen to the whole idea of the Death Star being designed in the maw installation? The appearance of the Death Star prototype hologram on Geonosis really ticked me off...
Guest Anakin Solo
And what about the Clone War dates set out in TTT. God....George should have just stuck with the originaly trilogy, and forgotten about the Prequel. Screws everything up.
Schrat
I totally like the prequals, they really set everything in stone, for me atleast. I dont enjoy the eu, to complicated, like st...anyway cant wait for epIII
Guest Anakin Solo
Boy....I outta slap you silly...You don't enjoy the EU??!! OMG. *sigh* EU is the only good thing about Star Wars taht comes out now. THe only good thins with Star Wars is the EU, and the OT. In my opinion at least. The Expanded Universe can be confusing if you haven't read much of it, but if you read the books in chronological order, you will find that their plots are amazingly interconnected. The Expanded Universe is, in my opinion, what should have been the new movies. I would really like to see the Thrawn Trilogy become Episodes VII-IX. *This is the 1111th post on this thread! :therock:

Boba Fett
Boogeta, why is Episode II your favorite? What did you like/dislike about it? Who was your favorite character? Did you like the script? If you are going to state that you like something, please tell us why and offer an opinion about it. If you simply state that you like Episode II and it was your favorite, it doesn't do much for the rest of us. I have been following the updates about upcoming comics on several Star Wars websites, and have an opinion question for anyone who wants to give it a shot. There is a comic book series coming up that deals with the "Battle of Kamino". What do you think this battle's outcome will be, and why?

Boba Fett
It could be a legion of Clone Troopers, Stormtroopers, Rebel commandos, New Republic forces or even Yuuzan Vong. :drunk: It shows just how big the Star Wars universe is if I don't know who these people are. My bet is that they are from the prequel era though.
Solo Tremaine
Apparantly, according to Official StarWars Magazine, LucasFilm have sold the rights to Cartoon Network to do an animated series of Star Wars entitled 'The Clone Wars'. I onder what it's going to be like. If it's anything like Droids (which I have half an apisode of :D), Ewoks or the Holiday Special, I think I'll have to put myself on permanent cringe mode. I really liked Episode II. personally, it's my favourite one so far. If the storyline's good, I can ignore the acting and script. And I love the music, too. The Acklay was the best creature in it, I think. Even though Hasbro can't make a good action figure of it... Grr. Jango beats Bond any day in terms of coolness. Boba Fett
Droids!?! Those animated movies may be for little kids and not particularly relevant to the rest of the Star Wars timeline, but they are so funny? My favorite is the one about the "Great Heap", in which R-2 and C3PO end up foiling a plot by a giant imperial robot who is in charge of mining on some obscure world. This imperial robot has a harem of R2 units, and R2D2 ends up falling in love with a pink droid in the harem. The Droid series, along with the Ewok Adventures added many, many pages to the Star Wars Dictionary. I ended up "losing" it when I rented it from Blockbuster, so I had to pay them for it. I couldn?t find it anywhere else? If this Clone Wars series on Cartoon Network turns out to be similar, it might be alright. Right not I am envisioning a pair of bumbling Clone Troopers?
Solo Tremaine
I have the first half of that very episode of Droids. Aw. Poor R2. I'll be sceptical about it until I've seen first photos, because I'm not sure I trust Cartoon Network. Cow and Chicken isn't my favourite programme. Guest Anakin Solo
Hrrmrmmm....heard of those movies.....never seen them though. But what are your thoughts on Force Heretic 1? I think it is going ot be great! I read Sean Williams and Shan Dix's Evergence Trilogy, and I loved it. So I have high hopes for the Force Heretic Tirlogy. So you think it will be good? bad? don't know?
Mr. Maul
The 501st Legion are people who wear SW coustumes. Go to the 501st.com and you'll find out more. (NOT MEANT TO BE AN AD. JUST TOO LAZY TO TYPE THE SPECIFICS)
Boba Fett
I checked out the 501st Legion site, and found it very interesting. I would make myself a set of stormtrooper armor, but I seem to be going through a growth spurt. I wouldn't be able to wear it in six months anyway... I also have high hopes for the upcoming Force Heretic Trilogy, and have pre-ordered the first book from Amazon. This series should explain a lot more about Vergere (spelling?) and her connection to the Vong. Rogue Planet just didn't give us enough detail...
