Meesa is a "ground troop geek", and meesa proud of it! Meesa name is Jar Jar Binks!! *Boba Fett walks onto the screen and grabs Jar Jar by the ears, then shoves a thermal detonator down his throat. Then Boba ignites his jetpacks and flies away before Jar Jar explodes*

I dressed up to wait in line to see Episode I and II, so I can't talk about Ground troop geeks. However I must say that it would be interesting to dress up as a stormtrooper regularly.

Besides, they have a "garrison" in my area...

My little sister likes Jar Jar. All I can say is that everything that is bad in the Star Wars galaxy is his fault.

Senator Palpitine has an army because of Jar Jar, Episode I was labeled the worst Star Wars movie because of Jar Jar and Jar Jar is the source of all grammatical error in the known galaxy. Death to Jar Jar! Into the Sarlacc he goes! *Runs of screaming about horrible punishments that need to be used on Jar Jar*

Damn, aren't we just one in the same Boba. My sister also loves Jar Jar... but I think he should be roasted in his own juices.

I agree with everything you said about Jar Jar... except about the grammar. Lets not forget Yoda's greatly superior form of speech... which is what everyone would be speaking like if it was upto me.

Syntax, we need not...

I think that Yoda's speech pattern (If you can call it that) gives him character. It seems to help him appear older, wiser and somehow more respectable.

Jar Jar on the other hand talks like he is talking to a baby. He repeats words for emphasis, and sounds very annoying. I bet money he was added so that younger children would like the movie more. Pity it made the rest of us puke...

"Mesa agree with you completely Boby"... now please excuse me, I have to go shoot myself.

Yeah, I agree with what you say about Yoda... which I why I say his speech is greatly superior. I'd love to hear him singing a song.

On a sompletely different note... my esteemed bounty hunter Boba, how many credits would it cost me for you to... take care of a certain Gungan?

Puts on a cold, mechanical and unemotional voice that belongs to Boba Fett* "Unfortunately there are no Gungans left. I had the misfortune to release a biological agent on Naboo that was deadly to Gungans. It wiped them out, such a terrible accident...

Jar Jar was on Coruscant on the time, and came back to the planet to attend the funeral of a relative. He died like the rest, his nerves wracking his bloated body with unimaginable pain..."

Alright, enough fantasizing about Jar Jar and his gruesome death.

Who here thinks that Darth Sidous and Palpitine are not one and the same?

wow..."fet"? If your refering to jango fett from Episode II, yes he did die. That was Boba's father, or ...hmm...clone kinda. And it wasnt really said, because technicly he was working for the people that wanted to kill everyone.

Now, if your refering to Boba fett dieing in EpisodeVI, then no again, he was working for the empire....But techniclly he doesnt die....

Am I right boba?

Well.....there will be people who say he DID die, those who dont pay attention the the EU at all. But if you do follow the EU, then he did survive the Sarlacc(sp)

As the foremost authority on Boba Fett [seeing as I am him...] on this message board, I have decided to clear up boogeta's question.

What follows is a chronicle of Boba Fett's activities after his "incident" with the sarlacc. It is from a certain Boba Fett site I frequent?

---------------------------
During Luke Skywalker's rescue of Solo above the great pit of Carkoon, Boba Fett fell into the maw of the Sarlacc. After days of agony he blasted out, barely alive. Fellow hunter Dengar discovered him lying in the sand and saved his life. In return, Fett allowed Dengar to accompany him on a search to untangle a labyrinthine conspiracy orchestrated by wealthy industrialist Kuat of Kuat. For the mission Fett stole the freighter Hound's Tooth from his rival Bossk, leaving Slave I behind on Tatooine. Slave I fell into Alliance hands and rusted in an impound lot on Grakouine.

The galaxy at large thought Boba Fett was a half-digested morsel in the Sarlacc's belly, and he used that to his advantage, flying around in the less recognizable Slave II and accepting jobs from only the most discerning clients. When Jodo Kast threatened to blow his cover by encouraging people to believe that he was Boba Fett, Fett ambushed Kast and killed him. Dengar continued to work with Fett, often providing the necessary public face for his silent partner. Those in the business knew how to get in touch with Fett. Others, including Han Solo, had no inkling of his survival.

Eventually Fett bought back Slave I, keeping it in a parking orbit above Nar Shaddaa. After the grotesque attacks of the reborn Emperor, Boba Fett decided to take a new Hutt bounty on his old nemesis Han Solo. Fett and Dengar surprised Solo on the Smugglers' Moon and chased him to the Emperor's throne-world of Byss, where Slave II smashed into the planetary shield.

That was the end of Slave II and the termination of the partnership with Dengar. A loner once again, Boba Fett reactivated Slave I and took several jobs for Gorga the Hutt. The influx of cash allowed Fett to set up another ambush for Han Solo. He nearly captured Solo in the darkened undercity of Nar Shaddaa, but Chewbacca tore off his helmet and sent him rocketing into a durasteel girder. Fett recovered and lay in wait near a gas cloud, firing on the Millennium Falcon when it emerged. In response, he received a circuit-melting blast from the Falcon's new "lightning gun." Slave I was then replaced by Slave Ill.

Word of Solo's victories over Fett spread far and wide. To erase the stain of failure, Fett accepted a job to kill the insane Imperial overseers of the dungeon ship Azgoghk-which he accomplished for only one hundred credits. But he soon needed many thousands of credits, after replacing Slave Ill with Slave lV and undergoing surgery to prosthetically replace his right leg, weakened years before in his encounter with the Sarlacc.

Fortunately, fifteen years after Endor, Fett apprehended the Devaronian war criminal known as the "Butcher of Montellian Serat" and earned a staggering bounty of five million credits. His finances bolstered, he moved to secure his pride. On Jubilar, Fett faced off with Han Solo for a final showdown, but both combatants ultimately decided to drop their long-standing feud and go their separate ways. Boba Fett continued to work the bounty hunting trade as recently as twenty years after Endor. Still flying Slave IV, he took a job for Nolaa Tarkona of the Diversity Alliance to find shipping merchant Bornan Thul. Fett eventually found Thul, discovering what he'd been hiding-the coordinates of a plague storehouse-and then transmitting that data to Tarkona. The Diversity Alliance crumbled in battle with the New Republic, and Fett went on to other jobs for other clients. Since the Yuuzhan Vong invasion Fett hasn't been seen, but not even his most hopeful enemies are willing to count him among the dead.

So in short "Thrawn" was right, Boba is alive and well in the EU. I personally feel that if you don't pay attention to the EU, then you aren't, well, I won't even go there...

Can you tell me in what book/comic or whatever when Solo and Boba stop their feud? I have heard of it, but do not know where I can find it.

I have no time for star wars books anymore. If I have time to read, it's either a history book or the latest Maximum PM or PC Gamer. I don't feel like reading the whole NJO series. I liked it better when they released books in Trilogies. Like the Admiral Thrawn Trilogy, the Jedi Acadamy Trilogy, etc... Those were good reads.

Matt- They are starting to produce NJO books in trilogies, starting with the force Heretic series. I personally think that the NJO has a long way to go if it wants to be as good as the Thrawn Trilogy, or any of the better Star Wars mini series.

Juu- I haven't seen the IMAX version of Episode II, I have been very busy with homework for the past two weeks. I have to make some time to go see it. Everyone thinks it was very good... *Grumbles about teachers who assign way too much homework*

"Thrawn"- For some reason I think that the Solo/Fett feud is finally stopped in a short story which is part of the "Tales from the New Republic" book. I may be wrong, but I will go look it up when I can find the time...

I liked that story, how Han and Fett are standing face to face, and acknowledge that they are both getting too old for that kind of thing. Then they holster their blasters and walk away...

I have seen Galaxies, and it looks great. . I would love to pick up that game, but there are a few things blocking me right now.

First -- I REALLY need a new computer. The one I have now is like 4 years old, it's been reformatted more them my brain has *looks around* It takes forever just to search the web. I have cleared a ton of junk off my computer, and it's still just as bad -_- Perhaps I will finance myself a new computer *ducks* lol, I really don't think that I could ever save up enough to go out and get one. Too many bills standing in my way right now.

Second -- While the whole idea of running around in a Star Wars game is VERY appealing to me, I just don't think that I could really get into another MMORPG. It took up way to much of my time, and I wasted a year and a half of my college life playing it. . .

For a monthly charge, I would have to be 'into' the game. . I don't think I could be one of those people who just pick up for a few hours and leaves till next week. In games I play, I tend to develop a lot of relationships with other people in the games. If I can't keep up with those relationships, it sort of kills the game with me.

Another thing would be real life friends. . with my last game I played, I had several friends that lived around me that were usually always on. It was such a nice touch to joke around, and know that you aren't going to ruin your relationship with that person. .

Oh well. . I babble, and knowing me, I will end up with this game *shrug* But I suppose my safety net is that I don't have the money to afford a new computer yet ^_^ mwahahahaha . . . ya.

hmm, let me guess...Everquest? heh

Yeah, I was into Diablo II for awhile, but have been out of online games, I think its time for another "craze" to start and I think Galaxies could be it

but of course EQ ^_^ Got pretty high till I got burned out (had to restart my character since I was originally on a friends account). . well. . tried to get back into it, but it just didn't fit well.

I tried D2 (and still have my account on there), but once again got burned out. Tried to get back into EQ, but found that my account was hacked and all my characters deleted >_< Bad enough having everything I earned taken, but to have it all deleted? That was it for me. . tried to talk to a GM (game master) to get my account and character's restored, but it just didn't go so well. .

I try to play D2 just to pass the time. . level 72 with some good gear as my main (barb by the way). But with my computer THAT slow, I lag too much to even make it worth it -_-

I just spent ten minutes rereading the beginning posts of this thread. I was such a typical newbie...

I am planning on playing Star Wars Galaxies, and from what I have heard the Beta testing went really well. I can't remember the exact release date, but whenever it comes out, I'll start playing...

From what I have read on the Star Wars Galaxies official homepage, it seems you must buy the computer game to play it online, but you can also play it one player on your own PC.

I have seen posters in several stores which promote preordering, but I plan to buy it when the price comes down. So what if I am not one of "the first". I can still register online with a decent user name right after it comes out... :naughty:
