Wormmon's Tamer
Ha! Yes! Success! I have read my first NJO book! Destiny's Way. Great book. And I just bought the hardback of Vector Prime for $5 at Barnes&Noble. As soon as I'm done reading RJ I'll read Vector Prime.

Ahh, how dark and brooding this picture is...:love2: By the way, love the sig :smirk: Anyone want to continue Star Wars trivia? I do ;)
MEEEEEE I WANNA CONTINUE WITH IT!!!!!ME!!!!!!!!!! Ahem...... Well, I just finished Force Heretic: Remnant and..........WOW Greatest of the New Jedi Order by far!!!!!! STOP READING RIGHT HERE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED!!!!
Reading the first chapter, I could tell I was going to love this book.I think it is soooo cool that we are going to be able to revisit Zonama Sekot(Rouge Planet by Greg Bear), possibly(likely I think) meet the Chiss, chart more of the Unknown Regions, and see some major whoop *** action from the Empire. When the time came to find the Empire under attack, my jaw fell to the ground. Even though I knew it was coming, I still couldn't beleive it. Minute I began to read about it, I decided I was going to write a fan-fic pertaining to the events leading up to where you start to read about it. Then near the Koornacht CLuster. Never thought I would see the end of the Yevetha. Geeze, still can't believe that they are gone.Totally wiped out. Stupid Fia, and their stupid dealings with the Vong......grrr......And the mysterious stranger who helps Leia and Han and Tahiri escape from the planet, and how he tell them they should head to Bakura for something happening there.(Sounds like the Ssi-Ruuk aren't out of the picture yet, YES!) And how the Vong are actually attacking the Chiss!!!!! It says that the Vong have been harrying the Chiss on their borders, possibly for a rematch with their fight at Niruaun o so many years ago(not a proven fact, but I am a hard believer of it)
Well that is it. BabyGirl, I would love to have some trivia. :D All right!!!!! Tivia time!!!! New Jedi Order Questions: CAREFUL, IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE NEW JEDI ORDER SERIES, SPOILERS COMING! 1. In Vector Prime, which movie character is killed? 2.Which planet do the Yuuzhan Vong and the New Repulic military, engage in full real batter?(not the battle in Vector Prime!!!) 3.In the book Rouge Planet by Greg Bear, the Yuuzhan Vong first show up. By what name were they known as in that book? 4. At what planet does the New Republic military, decimate the Yuuzhan Vong fleet?(hint: Destiny's Way(Deep core planet) 5. Which Solo kid is killed in Star by Star? Non-NJO Questions 1. What are three races that are believed to have come from the Unknown Regions? 2. As of Hand of Thrawn duology, how many Star Destroyers does the Empire have remaining? 3. Which planet did Luke and Mara go to in the Hand of Thrawn Duology? 4. What race is Grand Admiral Thrawn? ^_^;; All right, some pretty easy questions I think.....sooo....shoot ahead all ye who want to try! :D

Guest Anakin Solo
Hrmmm.....you come back....after I told Charles that I was going to leave....Hrmmm.....Damn't he was right, I would be back. But....if you hadn't replied, I wouldn't be back. :) Eh.....my second NJO question was unclear....:-/ So you can either say Dantooine(major ground battle, and if I remember correctly, a space battle at the end. Or you could have said Ithor when the Remnant came and helped the New Rublic. Those are the two major, major engagments between the Vong and NR/Remnant. The New Republic(now the Galactic Federation of Free Aliances) decimated the Vong fleet at the plant Ebaq 9. For NON-NJO About two hundred Star Destroyers remaing as of HoT for the Imperials. Yuuzahn Vong came from the Unknown Regions? Could you clarify where that is mentioned? I remember theories that said they encountered the Chiss and Nirauan before...but not this. Please clarify, because I would like to read into it. Three races from the Unknown Regions: Ssi-Ruuk(though, from what I get fromt he NJO map, it seems that they are completey outside of the Star Wars Galaxy. Oooohhhh....another thing I could have used in our map debate. :)), Nagai, Tofs, Chiss

Guest Anakin Solo
Ahhhhh yes.....the death of
Chewie.
Sad it is. But it finally brought a sense of reality to the Star Wars universe. Throughout all the books, no one has died. Guest Anakin Solo
kk. Just wanted to see if this stuff came from an official source, and not some fan. ^_^;; The Thrawn Trilogy is good yes. But I dont think it was the best. I am the odd one out, I find the Black Fleet Crisis to be the best. lol *shrug* Speaking of books.....HAs anyone read the latest NJO book? I haven't went out to buy it yet. Hopefully I can go today. But yes, whoever it was that PMed me about Star Wars books, I suggest that you do read the NJO. If I remember correctly you read like two of them. I suggest you go and either buy the rest and read them in order, or check them out from the library and read them in order. Edit: I just bought Force Heretic Refugee. And I will review it for ya'll by Thursday next week if ya want. EDIT: Sorry I was a bit late with the Refugee review. But I just finished it....and WOW! Way better than Remnant!!!
I knew from reading the chapter they released online, that this would be better than Remnant. There was so many things that I wasn't ready for in this book. One I didn't think the search for Zonama Sekot would be so stinking cool. The fact that the Chiss, are involved, the CHISS. A species shrouded in mystery for how long now??!! Geeze. So happy there. And the Vong have been fighting the Chiss since the early day of the war it seems. And is the Chiss failing like the New Republic did?! Hell no! Why is that?! The Chiss rock! And back to Bakura....this was something that I wasn't prepared for. P'weck, defeat the Ssi-Ruuvi and want to make an alliance with Bakura....But there is much more to this "alliance" than meets the eye. It seems....the Bakurans were fooled...and fooled badly I should say. ^_^;; And poor Tahiri! It seems that her Vong personality finally takes over near the end of the book. My favorite part by far, is Luke and Co. looking for Zonama Sekot. I am glad to know that we at least have some background as to what it has been doing for like the past 50 years. Well that is a brief review for ya'll. I suggest you go and buy it now! Go!

Q: What ancient Jedi starship was found by Luke Skywalker on Danthomir? Chu'unther...dunno about the spelling Correct, but the spelling is Chu'unthor I challenge someone to answer these... Any Star Wars fan. I know someone out there can...
In the mean time, I have a question regarding the unified force theory presented in the New Jedi Order series. What do you think of the idea of the force as a whole, rather than as light and dark? I think the force is unified. It has to be, since force users can change sides. If the force were divided, you wouldn?t be able to ?give into your anger? and turn to the dark side or purify yourself and join the light side. Even the Jedi temple is built on top of a wellspring of dark side energy. The force is unified. Any comments?
Guest Anakin Solo
Right now, I am going to disagree with your comment on the Jedi Temple being built over a well of dark side energy. Now...I don't know if what was written in the books was the way it was supposed to be, or just a mistake on the authors parts. Page 280 of Rebel Stand it says this: This must be a wellspring of it, he thought. The old Jedi Temple must have been built above it because it was here. They were guarding it. And guarding the planet from it. Now, onto this. No where does it say it was built over a well of dark side engery. So, if it isn't dark side, what else could it be? Light side perhaps? Yes, protecting/guarding it. But from what? From the possibilty that a dark side user coudl stumble across it and use it's energy to his whim? I think so. It is here, above this well of force energy that Lord Nyax is killed. Powerful in the dark side he is. Killed, and his energy stays there . Like the dark cloud left where the Death Star II was destroyed when the Emperor(sp) was killed. ( The Thrawn Trilogy) Page 158 of Traitor says this: Vegere's voice was warm as a kiss. "I told you: here the dark side is very, very strong."( By the context Im assuming she told him of this place all ready, I just can't find it, Ill be looking for it later) And then on page 160 it says this: "This was our tower of guard: our fortress watch upon the dark," she said. The doorway narrowed into a dim yellow stripe of globe-glow, then vanished. "This was the Jedi Temple." All right, here we go! The first comment, Vegere telling Jacen the dark side is very, very strong in this place. Since she is a Jedi, she is able to sense the dark/light side of the force. The Jedi Temple is where Lord Nyax was killed, where he left an "impression" of the dark side there. Vegere sense that, and since it is such a large force well of engery, Lord Nyax's "impression" prevaded all throughout the force well, thus making this place "very, very strong in the dark side." The second one can be taken in the way you said. That it was built over a dark side well of energy. But, I disagree. It says "our fortress upon the dark." I believe she means a place where their presence can be known, a fortress to fight the dark side, and protect those of the light. Not a fortress to guard a dark-side well of force energy. Well, there is my break down of that comment. OH!! And you can never forget this beuaitul quote from Vegere. :-p Page 11 of Traitor "Everything I tell you is a lie. Every question I ask is a trick. You will find no truth in me."

Guest Anakin Solo
Even the Jedi temple is built on top of a wellspring of dark side energy.
Right here you said it is built over a wellspring of dark side energy. Not once mentioning Lord Nyax and his leaving his impression as I also said, until after. In your first post, it could be taken that you actually don't find the Force unified, with your comment saying it is built over a wellspring of dark-side energy. Not until after my post, do you clarify what you meant. In your previous post, no where did oyu mention Lord Nyax and his dark-side energy leaving impressions.
I was referring to the way it is now (Assuming the present is at the most recent date in the Star Wars timeline), since the Death of "Lord" Nyax stained the area with the same residual effect that the area around Endor was stained with after the Emperor's death.
Your saying it is built over a wellspring of dark side energy. That is still wrong It was not built over a wellspring of dark side energy. The wellsprng turned into "dark-side" energy, after the Jedi Temple collapsed. So how on earth could it be built over a wellspring of dark side energy, if the Force energy became strong in the dark side only after it was destroyed? P.S. Not anywhere did I say the Force was divided. :p

Not once mentioning Lord Nyax and his leaving his impression as I also said, until after.
I was not aware that my comment needed clarification until you mentioned it.
Originally posted by Anakin Solo In your first post, it could be taken that you actually don't find the Force unified, with your comment saying it is built over a wellspring of dark-side energy. Not until after my post, do you clarify what you meant. In your previous post, no where did oyu mention Lord Nyax and his dark-side energy leaving impressions.
This is a re-statement of what you said in the last paragraph... O_o So my answer remains the same.
Originally posted by Anakin Solo Your saying it is built over a wellspring of dark side energy.
Ah. The Temple actually was built over tainted force energy. Long before the temple was built, two massive armies fought to the death on Coruscant. The immense bloodshed stained Coruscant with hatred. This would have tainted the force energy on Coruscant, on top of which the Temple was built. Details of this conflict can be provided, if necessary.
Originally posted by Anakin Solo P.S. Not anywhere did I say the Force was divided. :p
Any time you mention the "light" or "dark" side of the force (Which don?t exist...), you are dividing it.
Guest Anakin Solo
the force energy is neither light nor dark; but rather unified.
How can it be unified, if you yourself say it is built over tainted force energy from the battle? And if it was tainted, don't you think Jedi would have noticed that the Force was tainted? You and I both all ready agreed that it isn't built over dark side energy.
Now that we are in agreement that this isn?t Dark Side energy, what could it be?
I've provided what you said. But yes, how can the force energy be tainted from this battle, if we had all ready agreed that the energy was not dark/tainted Force energy? And could you tell me where it leaves this dark impression after those armies are killed? Im assuming this is the battle between the Zheng and Taungs? The Essential Chronology says nothing about tainting anything.(though..this may be because it came out before the Force well thing was devised? not sure though) And if it is mentioned in any sources that says it tainted the Force well, I would like to know.
