Discuss Bane Blade Cronicals: Chapter One

I have been playing with this Idea in the back of my head for some time, I think its time I start working on it.

Bane Blade Cronicals: Chapter One: The Gathburg Conspiracy

The Bane Blade Cronicals Takes place in the far future of 5712. Man kind has spread across much of the galaxy and peace is a thing of the past.

The two governments The Earth Space Unified Government (or ESUG) and the United Space Colonies (or USC) are constantly under fire from internal problems, and Space Pirates rule the vast pockets of unclaimed space.

Some time in 5634 all the pirate and terrorist groups signed the Emlis Durn Pact.
In short this pact formed a government system for the terrorists that streatched across the galaxy. They were highly effective and no one even knew of there existance untill nearly thirty years had passed.

In 5672 many planetary Militias urged for there respective governments to fight the Terrorists. But nothing was done.

In 5674 the Militia leaders gathered and formed the Unofficial Galactic Armies (UGA)
The UGA has remained a secret to the high athorities of the Governments since its begining, as many of its members hold high ranks in the two Governments. They have fought for thirty eight years to regain peace for the galaxy.


THE GATHBURG CONSPIRACY
Gathburg is a massive hub of the galaxy, diplomatic meetings and massive trade are all held on the station. It is the thread that holds every thing together.

Gathburg is a Space Colony, orbiting a massive gas giant, twice the size of Jupiter, the Colony is home to more people than the United States of America in 2004. It is a massive city under an even larger dome. It is called the "City of eternal dusk" Since the sun never fully rises on the city. It is over four hundred miles across.



BANE BLADE
The Bane Blade is a ship in the UGA, the first of its kind. The story revolves around the ship and her crew.




This is where I need help. Besides the need for people who are willing to stay for at least two maby three chapters I still need to add more detail to the story.
I have major plot twists and story lines fleshed out, but its the little stuff, the side stories that I need. If any one can help me out or if your simply interested in joinning please Post. I Hope to get recrutment up by December.

Well Im back...more stuff about the story.

Even though the story is going to revolve around the battles of the BaneBlade and her crew, I want the story to focus on the people involved in the events, rather then the events happening to the people. Make sence? I wanted a story that afew different kinds of people could play, from the people who like to fight, to the people who want more of a relationship based game. The story (Hopefully) will have funny parts just as well as grusom parts.

Alright, I almost started to think people didn't like futuristic fantacy here.

Futuristic fantasy? *drool* Where do I sign? Heh, sorry it took so long to spot this thread, but I don't frequent the Underground... um, frequently. Looks like a cool idea, I could definitely see myself signing onto this story if you move it to the Inn.

So, you need help with the details? Okay, I can help a bit. I'll ask a few questions, and either force you to think about them, or just get you really mad at me.

How large is the [I]Bane Blade[/I] (and consequently her crew)? (I'd lean towards a smaller fighting ship, like the [I]Defiant[/I] from [U]Deep Space Nine[/U].)

How does it travel the mind-boggling distances between stars in a relatively short period of time? (Does it exceed the speed of light [warp drive], travel through a different dimetion [hyperspace], fold space like a piece of paper [wormhole], etc?)

Does the [I]Bane Blade[/I] only fight the Pact members, or are there clashes with ESUG or USC ships (if they, say, demand the [I]Bane Blade[/I] identify herself)?

What races will be serving on the ship? On other ships (including the pirates)?

I'll add anything that pops into my head. If you need any more help, just ask. (It might help me help you if you specify where you need help.)

Ok...

1. The Bane Blade is a large class ship. The Three large Class ships are (from smallest to largest) Cruiser, Capitol Ship, Master Class Ship

Cruisers are large ships able to stay out on there own for long periods of time, they are the hammer of the UGA Fleet. The Bane Blade is a Cruiser

Capitol Ships are rather large even compared to Cruisers, Capitol Ships serve as small space stations. They are strong and highly feared.

Master Class Ships are the most feared ships in the Galaxy. They dwarf Capitol ships and can wipe intire fleets out of existance.


This means that the Bane Blade crew is fairly large, even though most of them are not needed as PCs, most of the accuall game for the first one or two chapters will take place on the Colony.

2. The travel thing is a device (not compleatly fleshed out yet) that, in essence, rips open the fabric of space and sends the ship into an different dimension as well as forming a not-to-stable worm hole that needs is kept stable by the Warp Field Generator. after shutting down the drive and emerging into real space the worm hole will collapse.

3.The Bane Blade, And UGA as a whole try to avoid fighting the ESUG and USC. THe UGA is fighting to protect the common people, so fighting the ESUG or USC would not serve them. Also many UGA officers are also officers in one of the two governments. They sometimes have to kill ESUG or USC troops, but it is ussually a special ops assault and no one knows untill the UGA force is long gone. It may be easier to explan with a bit of history, but I'll save that for another post.

4. With the species thing, were still working on Humans only, the human teritory in the galaxy is still small compared to the rest of "unknown" space. I do plan to have at least two different Alien species show up later on.

about the Chapters:

The chapters will be reletively short, but I want high quality story.
the First two or three chapters will deal with the Gathsburg collony, then perhaps four or five more chapters will come along according to the story arcs that come up.
I don't want to ruin to much of the story, since there are some major twists.
