@.@ Actually, when you guys post within ten minutes of each other, you can't blame other people for not being here.

IC: Halas, Arian thought to herself. It reminded her of something from a recent period...but what was it?
"Agh...dammit! Why is it science can block my brain but my brain can't block science?"
"What?" Halas asked curiously. She had made no sense.
"Never mind. Nothin' really."
"And so, we have fourteen dollars," Ciarra chirped in. "Maybe we can get some sandwichs or something..."
"Yeah, sounds nice," Arian replied dully, her mind not quite off the memory subject.

Discretly, I would say. Always remember that the best offense is a good defense, I would think. How is it I got so screwed when it came to this?
Here I am - in a tube, floating in some weird liquid...I'm barely keeping my eyes open, hoping the sci-fi dudes don't notice me...Urk! Think one did! Better close my eyes...
Phew. He's gone. On my left, I see another person - there's a girl, and on my right, there's a guy. Maybe...
"Projects 393, 3193, and 3262 are coming along, just as planned."
"Good. Continue on."
What? Who are they talking about? They seemed to point at me and these other two people...weird.
"They do have names," a woman said in one of those Hollywood-sexy voices. "Ciarra, Arian, and Halas. All of them part of the test."
Test? What test? I don't...remember...
"3262's state has returned to normal."

"That's weird," Arian managed to say.
"What is?" Ciarra asked as the three rounded a corner.
"I had...this...sorta flashback." She paused briefly before it all sunk in. "Holy crap!" she yelled, jumping. "You two were in it! That's where I've heard Halas before!"
"What?" Halas asked. "What were in we in?"
"My...flsahback thingie. I remember...sorta. I could only see ahead and to my sides...and I saw you two...they called us by these numbers...And then I blacked out."
Halas and Ciarra sighed.
"You really do need food, don't you?" Ciarra commented.

IC: Beorhun, if this goes completly against your RP code (don't ask), I'll edit it. This is just for group purposes, I don't mean it to have any deeper effect.

OOC: Not a problem, Katana. The 'code' has changed recently. lol.

IC: Halas, of course, was kind of wierded out by this. Still, it made sense that others shared the 'flashback thingie', he himself had experienced it when the name Sarah popped into his head, albeit not on the level that would make him blank out and straight-up see what had happened. Still, he wrote it off and continued on with Arian and Ciarra. Something was on his mind, something distant, something was wrong with Albel., there had been no word from him in awhile.

"What's wrong?" He heard Arian say.
"Oh, nothing." Halas quickly replied.
"Okay, 'cause you were getting a...'huh?' sort of look on your face. Halas shrugged. Arian did seem familiar to him now, more so than when they had 'awakened' in the desert. Halfheartedly, he tried to recover some shard of what had happened in between Manhattan and here. Nothing came up. Now what Arian said made sense to him, you couldn't block science from your mind, but science could block your mind from it.
"See? You have that look on your face again!" Arian said.
"Yeah...are you alright?" Ciarra spoke up for the first time in a while.
"Yeah, I'm fine, just hungry, that's all." They both shrugged it off, and they approached the food stand.

ooc: Note for those people who Have time to post here and don't please tell me now if i am wasting my time so i can just move on to something else cuz basicly abel you haven't posted for the last two days..
-----------------------------------------------
Speeding across the land it seemed to Kredion that it was geting easier to keep up this speed for longer and longer periods of time before he would fall over start breathing heavy and have sweat sticking his shirt to his chest. At the first town he had come to he stole a map and a few rolls. after speeding half the day he had to stop and sleep for the rest for the day and had stoped somewhere in Ohio. the next day when he woke up he looked at a map at a bus station maped out a route all the way to the city and as you can guess he stole yet another breakfest for himself and ran up into the inner works of the city looking for clues however on the first day he found none it wasn't until he found a nightclub by the name of Last chances that Kredion found any leads it just so happened that kredion used to rent a room above the club and when he disappeared the rent check still kept coming for 4 months that is then the owner of the club took all his personal stuff and shoved it into a few box and into the basement. So after a hour or two of sereching kredion pulled out a rather fancy looking cell-phone and finds a wad of cash hidden under a false bottom of a box filled with rocks. WIth this cash is a bank account number and a list of contacts looking down the list Kredion doesn't notice any that seem fimilar to him. walking back up he takes his stuff off the hands of the club owner and rents another apartment and falls sleep soundly after a long day of discover and sereching.

Von was outside, making small buildings of dirt with his powers. He would make a town, destroy it with a few cartoonish roars, then rebuild. He was careful to at least make it seem like he was just fooling around. No one saw his powers. He continued the pattern. Build, destroy, build, destroy.
"ARRGH! ITS SO BORING!"
He hopped up, leaving his small city intact. He threw a few punches and kicks.
"Damn...damn...damn...DAMN! I WANT SOMETHING TO DO DAMNIT!"
Then stop complaining and do something moron!
"Duh!"
He wandered the city for a few moments (in the opposite direction the three had taken. He didnt want to be near them at the moment) before finding a park.
"Eh, what the hell."
He proceeded to play on the playground. Eventually, some kids came up. Without a word, they leapt onto his back and began to wrestle. The parents nearly pounced on them, but after seeing how happy Von and the kids were, relaxed somewhat. Von was pinned by around 15 different kids of varying ages, and was laughing happily, like an overgrown child.
Happiness...is definitely a good thing!

((Before anyone thinks this is wierd, kids have actually done that to me!))

OOC: *tries to fight writer's block*
IC:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I missed the action, Emily thought, but I guess that's good. Now I can have time to relax, while others are either doing nothing or are out of this room...
Emily finally got bored after several hours. She just began to randomly move things around with her powers--the other group members were too bored to notice the objects flying around. But, eventually, Emily accidentally turned on a TV at the far corner of the room. The news was on, and Emily, who usually became bored with TV, just sat back and closed her eyes.
"Tonight's report brings us to a strange rumor of a lb incident that has transformed ordinary people into special..." As the person on TV said this, Emily's hed jerked upward and her eyes opened.
"Look, everyone!" she announced to the group. "It's a report about what happened to us!" Slowly, people's heads turned towards the screen.
"supposedly had special powers," the news reporter continued. "There were a bunch of these, as rumored, and their powers ranged from telepathy to superhuman strength. Now, nothing is known about whether these 'supermen' actually exist, but a wide rumor has spread across the land. So far, we are looking for evidence of the scene where it happened, and we are trying several scientists who might be involved with it. When the suspect is found, he or she will be arrested for tampering with people's minds, for it was also rumored that the people tested on lost their memory after transformation. Fortunately, no children were involved with this--they were all teenagers or older. At this point we don't know who was taken captive, but when the lab is found, if there is one, answers can truly be discovered. But, it's still a rumor at this stage, with mostly psychics starting these rumors, strangely... Now, onto our next report, there have been many cases of murders throughout..."
"Turn off the TV, the report's over," one man said.
"No wait, something else important..." Emily muttered.
"...It is said that these killers are found riding bicycles and are apparently in hot pursuit of someone special... Until we find that someone, this still remains a mystery... Now going..."
Right after the word "going", Emily turned off the TV, causing weird remarks from the rest of the group.
"Why'd you trun it off?"
"It was getting to the good part!"
"What else happened?"
"Nothing special," Emily reasured. "I believe the report was over." But, she did turn on the TV again just out of curiosity.
"There's an accident right here on Freeway 601, which is blocking..." droned the anchorman. Emily turned the TV off again, her face wrinkled with confusion.
Now what do you know, Emily thought. I must be psychic or something. Speaking of which... was I the one who sent those messages to start those rumors? I wonder if I should just tell everyone about it so that they could help... Heh, wow, if I am telepathic, this makes life so much easier because I always mess things up when I talk... I bet... I bet my whole life was made better after this lab incident. I kind of recall having a quite miserable life, though I don't exactly remember what it was like..
And for the first time on a long while, Emily smiled.
IC: I swear Mr. Ugamon, you need to find a grammer book and a tutor who will teach you proper spelling, punctuation, and english! It is hard to figure out your posts with all the run-on sentences! It needs to get Real much better! ::giggles::
Ciarra stood up from the table that Arian, Halas and herself were occupying. "I'm gonna go walk around for a little bit..." She was quite jittery, though she didn't know why, and needed to do something besides sit there. Arian stood up, but Ci shook her head. "I would...err...like to go alone if you don't mind..."
Arian shrugged and and Halas nodded indiferently. Ciarra smiled and then after waving goodbye, she walked off, back in the direction of the old-lady's house, though that wasn't her chosen destination.
Her mind was rebooted into the thinking mode, despite the fact that Cia didn't want to think seriously right now. She was actually quite sick of the depressing feeling that came with the thoughts that she had. She didn't know very much about herself, and it annoyed her.
She focused her attention on the sound of laughture ahead, and after passing the house and walking a little, she came upon the source of it. She had arrived at a park, and the familiar figure of Von was lying on the ground, pinned by a mass fo kids. She laughed at the sight, one of the first real laughs that had come from her since she had awoken, and, she sensed, one of the first in a long time even before that.
Moving over to one of the swings that was in the park and sat down, pushing her feet against the ground to get it moving in a gentle swaying motion. She continued to watch Von play with the children, and wished for her childhood back so she could join them.
Von finally stood up, kids hanging off his arms and shirt. He tried to walk, but only made three steps. He saw Ciarra sitting on a swing and waved. But he doubled over when the kids leapt onto his back. They were enjoying taking down the huge man, not realizing he could crush them. Staggering around, he finally collapsed, breathing heavily in mock exasperation.
"No more! No more! You win! I surrender!"
He waited till they cleared off his body before even attempting to get back up. Tripping, he saw that one kid had tied his boots together. He bent down, attempting to undo the intricate knot.
"Didn't think I'd see you here. Where are the others?"
"Still at the food place. What were you doing?"
"Ah, that. Just having some fun with the kids."
"Arent you a tad old for wrestling in the dirt?"
"Your never too old for fun! If you ever think that, you'll end up bitter."
Von sat on the ground in front of her since the swings would've broken under his weight. He stared at Ciarra for a moment.
"You okay? You dont have to answer that, it just seems like somethings wrong. If you want to be alone, I can go back to the house."
A shadow hovered Lily's fragile body, but she didn't realize nor feel his presence. The young fellow had noticed and so he spoke.
"Hey there...are you ok....Miss...umm proffessor.." , the yound fellow said loudly.
"Hummm..what! Oh so sorry.....actually I am-....I am fine...just taking a break...professor you say?" Lily said with a thought coming to mind.
"Yes...or are youa doctor...or researcher....you do have your lad coat stating the company you work for." The young man said in confusement.
"Why yes I'm Doctor Hiroshima...I'm new here...and just got tired of walking...I'm supposed to have been in...ohhh I fogot the buildings name.." Lily said hoping the guy would believe her.
The fellow stood over her for a minute than stood straight and gave a wicked smile. For he knew that she was a lab experiment who escaped. Suddenly in an imstant grabbed his gun and pressed it against her head.
"Now..now...you've been a bad girl....your suppose to be in your tube..now come with e slowly and nothing bad won't happen." He said wickedly.
"You bastard!Who are-" her words were cut off as she sank into the gorund.
"what the hell..they didn't tell-...ghost...damn it thats right...she can go through things...shit!" he said angrily.
Her body dissapeared from the field and sank to the ground. Lily traveled underground and appeared in a shadowed corner. She was scared and confused.
"How could I have done that...what did my body just do...oh my god..what am I!" lily said in frustration.
OOC: Yes, I agree completley with Aiyanna. In fact, we were discussing it during science class Friday after we finished our tests. @.@ Please stop with the freaky sentences Ugamon!
T_T;;
IC: Halas munched through another sandwich on the platter. Arian was polishing off her fourth.
"Where do you think Ciarra went?" he asked, taking a bite from the sandwich, which happened to be egg salad.
"No clue. But if she wanted to be...alone...I'm guessing she doesn't like us or something."
Halas cocked an eyebrow. "Okay..." He took a sip of water from a freebie glass the waitress that had sat them down gave the three.
"This is weird," Arian said suddenly, causing Halas to choke slightly.
"What?"
"It's weird. The way we are." Lowering her voice, she said, "How did we end up this way? Why us? Why not the guy next door?"
Halas shrugged. "Who knows. Perhaps we were the perfect canidates? The world - and its people - are demented sometimes. The guys that took us were definetly demented."
Arian rolled her eyes. "There's something about all of us that we have in common. Bloodline?"
"Not likely."
"Okay...abilities? Appearances?"
"Don't think so." With a considerable thought, he added, "That Von guy's tall, and then there's that one girl who's short -"
"Yes, I get the point."
They sat in silence for a few minutes.
"So, why us?"
"Dunno. And at this point, don't really care." Halas leaned back in his chair. "We were selected for some reason, which we'll find out later."
"Later...I never really liked that word."
"Hmm?"
"I don't know...there's something in my mind...with my memories...I can vaguely remember being alone a lot...and being told 'later, Arian, later' a lot. But the later of the promise never came."
"We're all like that, I think," Halas replied. He began tapping one of his fingers on the table. "Everybody has that feeling of neglect and loneliness. Just 'cause we're like the way we are doesn't mean we're any different."
"Memories..." Arian murmured to herself. She was recalling a lady's voice from a long time ago.
"Memories shape who we are. They decide our present and future."
Ciarra smiled at Von, and shook her head. "Truthfully, I am not okay, but I...I hope that someday, I will be. It's all just confusing me, that's all. You don't have to leave, really I should. You were here first." Despite her words, she didn't move, just gazed at him, her eyes shadowed. Finally, she did get up, but instead of leaving she sat down in front of him, so that she was basically at eye level, although he was quite taller than herself and she had to look up a little. She had always found it uncomfortable to be look up at, but men didn't seem to mind. It just wasn't how things were supposed to go, for women to be looked up at.
"Ya know...I wonder how the heck I can shapeshift...where would they get the genes for that? And talking to animals...I guess that just comes with it." She paused. "I always liked animals...or at least, I think I did. I don't really remember, but the feeling of animals was familiar, so I figure I must've either had a lot of pets, or lived where there were lots of animals. But that doesn't matter."
She sat crosslegged,rested her chin on her hand, her elbow on her knee, and abruptly changed the subject from herself to him.
"What about you? Are you okay? You haven't showed any emotion of confusion or...sadness or anything." Her emerald eyes were bright now, and had a sparkle in them. She was interested in this man, the first one to actually have talked to her and Arian. She didn't understand how someone could be so optimistic, and hoped maybe if she hung around him, it would rub off on her a little.
Von scratched his head, thinking about how to answer her.
"I...dunno if i'm ok. I try not to think about it."
"Why? Arent you worried?"
"About what? I've seen people who worry, or think too much. They all look...just so unhappy...and I dont want that. I would never want to be unhappy like that, which is why I make the best of everything. I mean, it could be much worse."
"We have no memories, and are obviously being hunted by someone. How could it be worse?"
"Well, we could all be dead or we could NOT have our powers to protect ourselves."
"Light hearted way of thinking."
He smiled, and leaned back, staring at the sky.
"Well, wouldn't you rather be happy then sad? It makes sense to want a good thing. I would rather love then hate, be happy rather then unhappy, be alive rather then dead."
"Well, yeah. Everyone does."
"Then why dont they? So far, it seems like everyone believes they have to worry. I just dont understand those people. Im not sad or bitter because I dont want to be like Kredion!"
He rocked back up, staring at her.
"Does that answer your question?"
In Character: Walking around Kredion calmly pondered how the others he had left in the desert were doing. Turning corner guilt started to set in for not sticking around but in his head he knew he lingering around would only bother them. For a second he thought perhaps I should call but then realized they could do the same.
Stopping at a streetlight he waited for the light to change so he could walk. Across Kredion knew full well that if he wanted to he could go faster then any of these cars however he really wasn?t in the mood to show off or to waste his energy like that. Pausing for a moment to buy a newspaper he pretended to read the text but really his mind was wandering on a way to get rid of this guilt he was carrying inside. Suddenly a young child run out into the busy street and a huge truck came bearing down on her. Tossing aside the paper he sped up his body and shot across the street snagging the child a second before the truck ran her over.
Safely dropping her off on the other side of the street several people stared and the mother ran up and grabbed her daughter in a tight embrace she cried but when she went to go thank him he was gone looking around she could find no trace of the strange man who had rescued her daughter from death when her mother asked her if the stranger said who his name was the girl replayed only a guardian angel mommy.
OOC: Since I haven't posted in a while, in my post, while your guys were doing whatever, Albel has passed quite a bit in ranks in the tournament.
IC: As Albel sliced through his sixth opponent and they lay on the ground dead, the crowd roared for Albel. He had become the most popular in the tournament and was the one that had progressed the most. He decided that for the last fight, he would use a ranged weapon to make this even quicker. He took the gun from the opponent that he had just slayed. It was a regular average, one-handed, pistol. He looked to see how much ammo was left. There were only four bullets left in the gun, so he MIGHT have to ration them. But, he just heard the announcment that he was going into the final round, to verse their reigning champion. He had been the champion for five straight years, so Albel was expecting him to be a challenge. He had a five minute break before the final round would start. He didn't need it though. He wasn't exausted at all, so he said that he would like the fight to start right away. The champion came out. He was clad in armor, with huge muscles, and had two uzis in his hands. On his back, he had a shotgun. This guy must like to take his opponents fast, so Albel thought that he should be careful. The match had started and Albel was standing his ground, for he did not want to be close to the fury of those uzis. He had his sword sheathed and his claw was on him. The champion had pulled the triggers of his two uzis and let out a fury of bullets. Albel tried to dodge as fast as he could, but he was still getting hit by too many bullets. Albel jumped as high as he could and let out some bullets as well, to the vital areas of the champion. The champion moved out of the way and was hit in his left arm, right leg, and one of his uzis were shot from his hands. The last bullet missed. The champion then decided to pull out the shotgun. Albel was already really tired from the reign of uzi bullets, so he knew that he would probably die. The champion readied to shotgun to a the farthest range he could get with a shotgun. He pulled the trigger and Albel felt every bit of the shell go into his body. He was on his knees and having trouble with breathing and tried with every bit of his strength to stay alive. The champion walked up and put the shotgun right up to Albel's forehead.
"I admit, you've gotten farther then anyone else, but now, you will die." said the champion.
"No, I can't die. My body may perish, but my spirit can never die. A warriors spirit can never die!" as Albel said this, he started to feel a great energy within him. He got up and let out a burst of an energetical aura. This sent the champion back a little bit. All of the people looked at Albel with awe. He was glowing a blue aura and had bolts of energy surging through him. Albel felt more powerful then he had in the life that he knew. He ran towards the champion with an incredible speed. He unleashed a fury of slices at a speed, that made it look like just a flash had happended. The champion fell to the ground and was barley breathing.
"I admit, you've gottent farther then anyone else has, but you will die now" taunted Albel. He jumped in the air and let out a burst of energy from his sword. This hit the champions body and when the smoke cleared, there was nothing but a crater. Albel had stopped glowing and was now feeling as good as new. The people in the arena were just staring at him with their jaws dropped.
Halas bid goodbye to Arian and Ciarra and stalked off back to the hotel. They were good people, that much was true. He knew that Hashu was an able leader, if he were around to lead half of the damn time, but what of the others? Those enigmatic faces whose shadow of an appearance he could barely conjure? They were, undoubtedly, much like Arian, Ciarra, and himself. Still, he had only seen the others briefly, and everyone had separated into different factons when they reached the villiage. His mind could not be troubled with such things for the time being, he had to decide on what to do about their situation, the big picture, so to speak. They were stranded, without a leader, without any weapons, in the middle of the desert. The whereabouts of two of their own were unknown, and there was an indescribable atmosphere of dread across the entire desert. That much was obvious. However, questions remained: Where in the hell was Hashu? What is behind this feeling of dread? Most importantly: Why did they end up out here? His mind began to wander, and his vision began to fade. Slowly he slipped into darkness....
Halas was on a cold, iron table, in the middle of the labs. Acupuncture needles covered his arms. Faintly, he could hear the voices of the people in the room, whispering about him, referring to him by number, and not name.
"3913 is becoming violent, he is using his powers to do some damage to the lab."
"Have you put him on sedatives?"
"Yes, but it has not quelled his anger."
[My name is Halas, not 3913.]
"Double his dosage, we cannot risk him escaping."
"The attempt earlier this week has worried you?"
"...indeed."
"3913 is not much of a threat now, his muscles have suffered considerable atrophy since the procedures started."
"My name is Halas....not 3913..." Me murmured, barely able to speak.
"...Augment him, as we did with 3173, that will reverse the effects, no?"
"It could also kill him, the 3173 procedure was risky enough."
"He can't be named 3173, either..." One of the doctors looked over at him, his left hand was glowing red...
"3913 is...as you have said. Continue, you may do as you please with him."
"My name is Halas!" He said, in a slightly more powerful voice. A needle went into his neck, and everythin g...f a d ed...
Halas snapped awake, staring into the dusty desert sky. The pictures of the labs were blurry, but the words were vivid. Hmm...augments? He shook his head, and got up dusting himself off.
Smiling now, Ciarra nodded. That was enough of an answer for her. She concluded to herself that she was going to try to be a little more cheery around from now on. A yawn replaced her smile and she switched to resting her chin on both hands. Her eyes reflected her sleepiness. She looked up at the sky, which had only a few traces of oranges and reds. A scatter of stars were appearing overhead, growing brighter as the dim light faded. She sighed. Night was one of her favorite times.
Of course...it was kind of awkward as she couldn't think of anything to talk about with Von, and he didn't seem to be saying much either. She had to stop her mind from wandering back to the questions of her past, and replaced those thoughts with the happy bliss she felt from just looking up at the vast expanse of light-pinpricked velvety blackness that expanded above them like a huge upturned bowl. "I wish I could fly..."she murmured, to quiet for a normal person to hear. Whether Von heard or not, she didn't know, but she switched her emerald eyes back down from the sky.
On impact, she reached across the space between them and placed her hand on his.
"You know...I am glad that someone like you is with our group. Arian is cheery enough sometimes I think, but It is good to have someone with such an optimistic personality in the area." The curving smile of of soft cherry lips was gentle but bright, her eyes sparkling.
((Ugamon, I'll lay off the cruel remarks when you finally get my name right! Its SILVER, not SLIVER. And you still have many mistakes buddy. :laugh: ))
"Optimistic, irritating. Depending on how long you stay around me, your opinion may change!"
She laughed, and Von suddenly turned around.
Gah! Im blushing! She's way too cute! Damn! Cant let her...wait a minute...IDIOT! ITS TOO DARK TO SEE YOUR FACE!
Von stood up. He grinned down at Ciarra, hiding the fact that his left hand was shaking.
"You want to fly? I may be able to help."
"Huh? But you can only manipulate earth."
She looked up at him. He raised a finger to his lips.
"Lets keep this our secret. I dont think the others would approve of me using my powers in such a wasteful way."
He raised one hand and clenched it into a fist. A flash of gold light circled the pair. Ciarre got up in shock, stumbling slightly. Von caught her around the waist and steadied her.
"You dont have to come if you dont want to. I understand if you dont trust me enough or if your scared."
Ciarra's mouth dropped. They were standing on a hovering platform of dirt, a few inches over the ground. Von filled in the crater below before looking straight into her eyes.
"Well? Its safe, I wont let you fall. My one request is that you dont tell the others."
"Should we go?" Arian asked, tipping back in her chair.
"Yeah, I guess we should," Halas replied, getting over his dream-like mishap.
The waitress who had sat them down nearly two hours ago came up to the two and slipped down the check.
Arian picked it up. "Well, it says eleven fifty nine," she said, taking out the seven of her nine dollars. Halas took out the five in his pocket.
"Let's leave it here...and take off," Halas said. "I think we should go and get some sleep. Then, we can regroup tomorrow with the people that agree with us persnality-wise and go out from there."
"Yeah, sounds good," Arian replied with a nod. The two stood up and shuffled out of the restaurant.
The sky outside was deep navy fading out to a dark purple.
"In the shining of the stars..." Arian said in a hum she made up.
Halas perked his eyes. "What's that?"
Arian shrugged in response. "I don't know. It just suddenly came to me. Like...from my childhood. It sounds like a song title I once played or something."
They continued walking, both with their hands shoved in their pockets. The two passed the old lady's house, where the lights inside had grown dim.
"You think they're waiting for us?" Halas asked.
"No way," Arian replied in a slightly snide voice. "We just don't seem to belong. They didn't exactly seem to want us. Let's just go."
"Yeah, whatever."
They seemed to be heading in the direction of the park. Arian seemed to sense Ciarra and Von somewhere nearby, and they both seemed in a fairly relaxed mood.
"Von -"
"- and Ciarra are nearby," Halas finished. "I know. I can sense them too."
"Part of being part human?"
"Probably."
The park soon came up, and there within was Ciarra and Von. They seemed to be chatting.
"Maybe we should make camp here," Arian said loud enough for the two to hear her. They cocked their heads at the voice.
"Oh. Hey Halas, Arian."
"Hey," Halas replied, marching forward and leaning against a thin metal rail that helped support the swingset.
"Yo," Arian replied, taking a seat next to Ciarra.
Almost flying over the sands as the first pink of morning started to rise over the little town Kredion knew he was in for a bashing when he got back but perhaps something out of his stuff that he had brought with him would help him help the others. At first glance it looked like random junk however when examined carefully most of the ?junk? had hidden area to keep notes and small items and perhaps in one of these containers in his ?new? backpack which had been part buried in the stuff he thought perhaps I will give each of them one it will let them hide what they want to hide and keep the secret safe.
As he finished this thought he stopped at the end of the street where all the houses were the old lady lived. Walking up to the door but then realizing that some people really do sleep at this time in the morning. Pulling off the backpack he unzipped it and left 8 boxes then rezipped up his backpack and walked across the street and waited for them to wake up. After a couple of hours past he saw movement start in the house. As he went to watch it he noticed two people that looked somewhat out of place. Glancing over he noticed Von and Ciarra walk by without saying a word he watched as they stopped at the door and looked at the wooden boxes with engravings as if they didn?t know what they were. Kredion realized that they probably didn?t have much of a clue as to why their was 8 little boxes stack on one another on the doorstep to the house Suddenly Ciarra turned her head to look around and stooped to open one Von put out a warning hand but she opened it before he could say a word.
OOC: In each of the boxes I placed a gift you get to pick what it is remember the gift can?t be any bigger then your fist or it won?t fit in the box hehe
OOC: Takuya, I'm just gonna say that Vaxla and Albel never had their fight.
IC: Albel still stood there, panting from the recent energy that he had barely lost. People were still looking at him akwardly. The referee came out and held up Albel's hand. "I give you, OUR CHAMPION!" Just then the crowd, for some odd reason, decided to cheer. They roared at the top of their lungs for Albel, their new arena champion. Albel didn't feel like he deserved it. He felt that his outburst of energy at the end of the fight was cheating. All though it wasn't something he could've controlled, he still didn't want to accept being the champion. He forced his arm down and ran as fast as he could out of the arena. He ran, as fast and hard as he could. He didn't want their praise, he didn't deserve it. He ran, far from the town, leaving great dust clouds behind him. He ran through the plains, through the night, hoping to not be found by those town people. He kept running and just wouldn't stop, until the town was out of site and he started to run at a normal pace. Well, it would be normal for a regular human, but it was almost like jogging to Albel. As he 'jogged' he tripped over something. After his face hit the ground, he looked up and heard a girl's voice. "Ow! Why don't you watch where you're going!"
"Sorry, I didn't know that I was supposed to see a girl laying in the grass at night." as he looked at her had could have sworn that she was in a lab coat. They stared at each other in the moonlight.
OOC: There I posted Ugamon.
OOC: Deutsch? ::giggles:: Ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch, und dir? Ich Lerne gern Deutsch. Deutschklasse ist sehr Toll! Frau ist sehr nett!
IC: Dissappointment flooded Ciarra as she heard the voices of Arian and Halas. Her heart was racing in her chest and she knew that a blush had crept onto her cheeks. She sighed in regret as his arm slipped from around her waist and she lost the feeling of utter security she had felt when it was there and she was close next to him. The platform dissappeared and their feet touched the ground before the other two would notice. She leaned close to Von for a moment and had to go on tiptoe to whisper in his ear, her melodic voice only audible to him.
"Maybe another time. I promise not to tell if you promise you will take me flying some day."
She let her heels touch the ground again and smiled up at him, taking his hand and squeezing it once before turning towards Arian and Halas. "Oh Hey Halas, Arian."
"hey" was the reply from Halas, and Arian sat next to her with a "Yo."
Von sat down on Ciarra's other side, and Halas on Arians. Ciarra met his eyes for a second and winked, and saw his smile and nod.
He mouthed the words, I promise and winked, then focused his attention on Arian. "So where were you two?"
"At one of the food joints in the opposite direction. We got a free soda. That was nice of the waitress."
They continued talking for awhile as the stars grew brighter. At one point Arian poked her while she was daydreaming about flying.
"Are you keeping something from me?" She had asked suspiciously.
"N-No, Why would I do that? There is nothing to keep secret." was Ci's response, but she crossed her fingers behind her back to atone for the lie, and knew Arian didn't see it because it was quite dark.
The talking had gone on until late at night, and then they decided that instead of going back to the house, they would just stay there. Arian made herself comfy in one of the tubes that little kids enjoyed climbing through to get from one jungle gym to another. Halas slept on a higher tower like structure that had a small pointed roof over it. It was supposed to be a rocketship, but it didn't really resemble one. The only thing that made it obvious that it was was the spraypainted word Rocketship on the side of it. Von just lay back where he was, and Ciarra was content with where she was stationed, she smiled up at the stars and crept her hand into vons before her eyes closed and she fell asleep.
--------
The next morning Ciarra woke, and found Von already awake and gazing into space. She snapped in front of him and smiled, and he smiled back.
"You wanna head back to the house?" He asked, and she agreed, though she felt a little bad leaving her two sleeping friends there. Ah well...
After sketching a note in the sand that was in a sand box in front of the tube where Arian was slumbering, they set off to the house, and arrived to find 8 small boxes on the step. She reached down, and despite Von's warning, opened the one that had her name on it. Her eyebrows drew down in confusion and she looked around, then closed the box again and held it to her. She said nothing to von about what was in it, just went inside. She knew he had a box too, but she didn't know what was it his. She suspected it wasn't the same as in hers.
((eh?))
Von bent down and picked up a box. It was dwarfed in his palm. He hesitated before cracking the lid slightly. He stared into it for a moment before heading in. He took another glance. The gift was a tennis ball. Von smiled at it, and began to bounce it against the wall. Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud.
"What are you doing?"
Von missed his catch and the ball thudded between his eyes. He fell on his back and the ball rolled to Ciarra's feet. He grinned up at her, reaching back and grabbing the ball. He rocked back up and began to bounce it again.
"Interesting...its so simple, yet so much fun to!"
She smiled and sat down next to him. He threw it yet again, and began to hum a tune. It was slow, and his deep voice made it quite an enjoyable sound. It was a strange tune that repeated itself every now and then.
"Thats a nice tune. What's it from?"
Von froze, his eyes wide. The ball bounced against his chest. He was shivering, completely ignoring Ciarra.
---------
Von looked up from the base of the tree. He had been sitting there for a long time, enjoying nature. He heard the voice singing the song walking down the path. A young girl skipped down the path, singing to herself.
"...and should the moon fade, and trees shudder,
then wrap your arms around me,
keep me warm from the breeze and I'll tell no other,
And should the moon fade, and the trees shudder,
I'll keep you and you'll keep me,
Together we'll wander the morning dreams..."
The girl's voice faded off and Von smiled. He began to hum the ditty.
------------
"Gah!"
He gripped his head, suddenly back in the house, sitting with Ciarra.
"Von! Are you ok?"
"Ugh! Whoo! What a rush!"
He smiled and laughed.
"I had a memory. Painful. But still a nice feeling."
She stared at him with worry. He smiled at her.
"Not a problem. Im fine, really. It was nothing big or heart crushing. Where was I?"
He began to bounce the ball against the wall, now physically singing the words.
((Real song. Hard to remember the lyrics, but its a nice tune. Irish actually...))
Watching the two Kredion chuckled as Von threw the ball against the wall and was catching it. Somehow he figure Von would like that see as the big guy was just like a little kid in some aspects. However when he saw Von freeze up and the ball bounce off his chest Kredion knew something was wrong but he made no move perhaps a memory was surfacing or another ability he hadn?t counted on surfacing it was clear their bodies had been tampered with but by who was his quest.
Kredion started walking down the street again as Von seemed to compose him self and started playing with the ball again. In the meantime some food was in order for a certain supersonic mutant stopping at a little café Kredion ordered a coffee and a muffin and decided to wait another hour or so then to go back and see how things were progressing.
As he waited he pulled out a small pile of cards with names and numbers on them and started to flip through them when his food finally came he scooted some of them over and tipped the waitress. After studying them for a hour and a half he realized that they must be some sort of contact system and carefully organized them and placed a rubber band around them before sticking them back in the bag. Perhaps he found more to his past then he had bargained for. But then again it was his past to learn.
Nyaa....
------------------------
The sun had finally made its way into the tube Arian slept in. Her eyes snapped open, the light blaring into her eyes, but not affected by it.
She sat up and banged her head on the tunnel's top. "Kuso..." she muttered to herself. Looking up, she noticed two young children, about four years old, staring at her.
"Hey lady," said one with dirty blonde hair. "Can we play in here?"
Arian cocked a grin. In her deepest voice, she replied, "Noooo...thsoe who disturb my slumber shall face my wrath!" She scrambled out of the tunnel, the kids screaming in pure delight and running away from the psychotic seventeen-year-old.
"Muwahaha!" Arian continued, chasing the two kids around the playground. She stopped at Halas's spot and poked him hard.
"Ugh..." he muttered, groggily opening his eyes. He backed up at how close Arian's face was to his. "What?"
"C'mon! Little kiddies! It's fun!" She dragged him through the sand by his sleeve until he stood up.
"Alright, alright," he said. Arian grinned and began chasing the kids again.
"This is my partner in the underworld!" she shouted, pointing at Halas. "C'mon Halas! We love festing on little kids, don't we?"
"Uh, yeah, whatever you say..." Not wanting to be dragged through the gritty sand again, Halas joined Arian in the race to get the two kids.
"Pah...I'm all worn out..." Halas said, collapsing onto the ground next to Arian. Neither of them felt tired, but they didn't want to freak out the kids if they could run around forever.
"Yeah...let's head back," Arian added, getting up from her spot under a tree. "We can see what Von and Ci are up to and go from there."
"Sounds good," Halas replied, picking himself up from the ground. The two walked out of the park.
"Mommy, mommy!" said the little child with blonde hair, "We got chased around by weirdos!"
The mother shook her head in utmost pitty. "Peolple these days..."
"The lady was sleeping in the tunnel!"
"Is that so?" the mother replied dryly, reading a magazine.
"Hehe, kids are fun," Arian said as she and Halas reached the main road. They continued on towards the old woman's house.
---------------------------
Couldn't think of much. So let's scare the crap out of kiddies! XD
OOC: I take it...uh...you have all been busy...maybe...
IC: Ciarra watched the tennis ball as it bounced from the hand of Von, to the wall, on the floor, and back to the hand of Von. Her foot tapped in time with the rythmic beat of it and von's voice as he sung a tune that was actually quite beautiful. She fiddled with her braid and some bells that she found, threading them each into the braid so that when she finished, the tiny sound of jingling followed her movements. She sighed and shifted the small box in her hand. though the box was dwarfed in a hand the size of Von's, it was almost the size of her small ones. The contents of the box had brought another memory, though with her nobody could tell when she was having a memory, as she didn't freeze up, go unconcious, or show any signs that something was different with her thinking. She wasn't so sure that she liked this memory, it was sad in some ways, but yet it was not so sad. It was just lonely really...and she could tell that something big had just happened that had awoken a feeling of hate, sorrow, and longing. It was confusing.
Flicking open the box again, she withdrew the contents. A sharp arrowhead, not one of the fake ones that they make now, but an actual arrow head, the tip of what she knew was a knife, and a feather covered in a dark reddish brown substance. One look told her that it was blood, and the memory told her that it was her own.
She shook her head and placed the contents in her pocket before throwing the box out. She went and sat down against the wall in front of von, getting in the way of the ball. He threw it and she caught it before it could hit the wall and then tossed it back to him. She smiled again and put the worry of memories out of her mind, and Von's words into it. There's no use being sad. It'll just turn you bitter. She summarized.
Lily stared at the strange yet good looking man, then broke her gaze.
"Well its a free country....plus really I don't know how I ended back here..." Lily said a bit confused.
"Huh....what do you mean....?" he said a bit confused himself.
"Really it's none of your business...not to be rude...I'm just not sure myself..okay" Lily said in a low voice.
She stood up and felt a bit oncomfortable, due to the fact she had no clothes under the lab coat. So she stepped back a little and the guy just stared at her like if she was a lost child.
'Was it just a dream then? I didn't go threw the ground or kill the guy?...it was just all a dream right....but it felt so real...maybe he's one of them....'
