But anyways, [url=http://fablefrance.com/albion_bestiaire_balverines.php]this[/url], my friends, is why you should always be afraid of balervines. Especially the last picture.

"Great, just great...we have a bunch of freaky creatures on our asses," Arian muttered before the balverines began attacking in a frenzy.
Von created earthquakes, one right after the other, hoping the earth would swallow up the creatures. Halas fired off rounds of fire (no pun intended) and Arian blasted the creatures whenever they came remotely close to her. Ciarra began shifting into various animals. At first, she was the wolf, but then became a bear, then changed her mind and became a large tiger. All in all, they were a force to be dealed with, but the power of the balverines was overwhelming.
"Shit - don't they ever - go away?" Von huffed, now throwing sizable earth chunks at the creatures. Whenever one died, it made the same, lonesome howl, before dropping its head down in death.
Arian's eyes widened as the story flowed into her mind.

[i]"And when the hero kills the foul beast, it lets out a howl, as if releasing its soul into the night and calling forth his allies," an old man, whose faced was scared from various wounds said.
"And then what happens?" an eager, cherubric-looking Arian wondered.
The old man let a single stream of air escape through his clenched teeth. "Three more come for every howl, and the more you kill, the more they come. Nothing can ever stop them but -"
"But what?"
"But Arianrhod."
"Yes?"
"No, silly, arianrhod."
"[b]What?[/b]"
The old man smilied. "Figure that out for yourself some day."[/i]

"Silver..." Arian whispered, knocking down another balverine. "Some sort of silver augumation should stop them...But where the hell are we gonna find silver?"
"What about silver?" Halas asked, surrounded in a fire inferno.
"To stop them...something about...silver...We need silver in order to stop them from coming back!"
"But where the hell are we going to find silver?"

(((GAAAHH! I MISS SO MUCH WHEN MY COMPUTER GIVES ME PROBLEMS!))

"RAAAGGHH!!"
Von was losing his temper, and his quakes were becoming more erratic. Clods of earth and sand flew overhead. His eyes were flaring with a bright golden light, and he was obviously losing his head.
"Coming whenever they howl? Fine! They wont have time to scream!"
He crouched down, and raised a huge clump of earth. It took the form of giant hands and crushed three of the creatures. The howls were barely heard through the grinding rock. Von glared at them.
"Useless! Useless!"
"Von! We need silver!"
He whirled, kicking one of them off his back.
"What?!"
"SILVER!"
"FINE!"
He slammed his fist deep into the ground, shutting his eyes. A deep rumbling was heard, before a huge crack opened in the ground. Von leapt down into it, followed quickly by the others. He was muttering to himself as he slid down the rock. The balervines followed quickly.
"Damn it...quit following us!"
He waved his hand and the chasm collapsed behind them. He landed in a cavern with a thud, then turned and caught the others.
"This enough silver for ya?"
He had breached a rather large mine shaft, and the shining around them told of silver deposits. Ciarra glanced at him.
"How did you know about this place?"
He scratched the back of his head, then winced.
"I dont really know how I knew. I just knew. If that makes any sense."
"Well, how is raw silver going to help us?"
"Pack it in mud."
Von demonstrated, then held it out. His eyes flared gold, and the silver shot off into the wall. He smiled at the others.

[Persona]

Lily had dissapeared once Hashu took flight(battle). For some reason something had drawn her back to where she was geneticaly altered. Shattered glass upon the floor reflecting multiple images of Lily's dispaired face. Corpses laid upon machines which were slain by Lily's own hands. Confusion ran through her mind, so many thoughts, fragmented memries...so much that she collapsed upon the floor,the glass cutting away her skin...but she simply didn't notice. Lily started to cry and yell out lucent words, then silence once filled the lair.

"Why.......I knew my name...but when he asked me..I simply didn't know.....even though I had my bracelet......now i'm back here....huh!: Lily stopped as a flash of memory appeared.

"That man...who saved me....why...why dammmit why!!!!!" Lily said in frustration.


"Crappers..I have to get off....."

[Albel the Wicked]

Hashu decided to speak up. "I have a better idea then that"
"Hmmmm? What would that be?"
"I think by using the silver, that it is meant to use them by putting them into weapons."
"Well, it's not like we can just meld the weapons right here" said Ci.
"Actually, it is possible. From noticing what you guys can do in battle, we can do it right down here. Von can provide a stone slab to hammer them on. Halas can heat up the silver to be melded and Arian can compress it into what shape we want."
"Will that work?"
"With my knowledge on weapons, it'll make a fairly good weapon"
"It's worth a shot!" said Halas.
"Since I seem to be without a power at the moment, I suggest that we make a sword, at first so that I may be of more use to you. Then, you are free to meld any weapon that you would like."
"Well, I guess that seems fair"
"Let's get started"
So they got the silver and welded them into the weapons that they thought would seem fit to them. Hashu soon wielded another katana. It was his rightful weapon. Everyone else grabbed their weapon and headed up to the surface. They saw that the Balervines had went away. The sun had come up and it was that dawn of a new day. Hashu relized that it had been 24 hours. He could use his Hyper Mode again if he wanted to. He felt the energy go into him and be stored. Even if the Balervines came back, he could probably take them all by himself with Hyper Mode.

[COLOR=Indigo]OOC: Well...it seems like nobody else is willing to post, and though I don't have any good ideas, I will make a short post...after that, It's up to ya'll...

IC:
Holding a silver bow tightly in one hand, with a quiver full of silver arrows attatched to her waist, Ciarra Amaya'Liluye was as ready for battle as she could be. She didn't like to fight, and hated killing anything, but she could, and would do it if something threatened the lives of her friends, or herself.
Glancing at Hashu, Cia could sense he was ready for a battle. He also seemed to have this aura of assurance around him, as if he thought he could take them all by himself. Though Cia never used the word impossible, she though it was highly improbably and implausible that he could kill them all by himself.
After studying the prints and tracks of the Balverines, Ciarra had pointed off into the forest, toward the west.
"I am guessing that the Balverines are nocturnal creatures, and do not come out during the day. While we were fighting them last night, I noticed their eyes. They have big eyes and the pupils were wide. They are night creatures. If you noticed, they moved around with more ease at night then a cat or an owl, or a human. They won't be coming back until after dusk, so we can wait here, or go and attack them when they are weakest, which is while the sun is bright." Ci hadn't been able to help with the weapons, but with her knowledge of forests and animals, she could help them with tracking the Balverines if they wanted her to.
"Well, I say we go after them now. I know I can't see well in the dark, and striking the oppponant when they are weak seems to be a wise idea." said Arian.
"What say you, Halas?"
"Whatever suits you all best, I'll follow." He smiled briefly and played with a ball of fire in his hands.
"And you, Von?"
"I'll say we go now. Ci already pointed out that they are stronger at night, and I personally am sick of throwing clods of dirt at strong things."
"Okay then, It's decided! We go now!" Ciarra stated.
"It seems like the cowardly way to me..." a male voice muttered.
Everyone glanced at Hashu. "What? It does!" he said with a shrug. "It doesn't matter to me anyways. Let's just get rid of them."
Ciarra nodded, and after hesitating for a second, decided to change her shape. "I'm going to become a wolf, so as I can track their scent along with their prints. Just follow along behind me." She grinned at them before closing her eyes and she could her them shift uncomfortably as her body started changing into that of a wolf. [I]It probably would be a little unsettling to watch...[/I]Opening her eyes, which were still green, despite that wolves didn't have green eyes, Ciarra looked up and briefly wagged her tail. She glanced at her bow and quiver, and after some thought, picked it up in her jaws and deposited it by Vons feet. Hopefully he would get what she meant. After that, she trotted off into the forest, her nose to the ground, her tail up and her ears perked.
[I]At least I can help some way![/I] she thought, and continued her tracking.

Von did get the message and picked up the bow and arrows. Ciarra began padding her way down a path, with the others behind her.
"Heh, she looks kinda funny as a wolf," Arian giggled, and Halas cocked an eyebrow.
"You think so? She looks like a wolf to me..."
"Gyaa, you men are so unfocused."
"Unfocused? What does [i]that[/i] mean?"
"Nothing. It's just that guys aren't usually as attentaive as women, or get distracted easily, or can be complete morons at times..." Arian continued cheking the things off on her fingers. Halfway through, Halas decided to stop listenig.
"This is is the coward way..." Hashu murmured. Von turned around to confront him.
"Okay [i]Albel[/i], then go back and wait for them to com and decapitate you. Face it, none of us can defeat these creatures by ourselves. You saw how it was last time! We could barely mangage to keep alive." Von paused, then added, with a huff, "It takes all of us to move forward, but only one of us to bring us back."
"Words of wisdom from Von," Arain snickered quietly to herself.
Ten minutes later, Ciarra's tail began to wag, and her trot soon turned to a gallop. The others raced behind her, hoping to catch up.
The scent led Ciarra to lead the group to a cliff. Caves dotted the sides where thin landings perched. Halas put a hand to his forehead.
"This is going to be a long hike," he said.[/color][/size]

Von rubbed his chin.
"Well..."
They looked at him.
"What?"
He smiled, and pointed to the ground.
"We dont have to hike..."
"Oh...is that wise?"
"Answer that with your opinion of me. Am I wise?"
"Oh boy..."
A huge tremor ripped a gash out of the ground, throwing the other three backwards as the ledge of earth rose upwards. It was still connected to the ground as a giant twisting pillar of rock. Vons eyes glowed a brilliant gold, and as the pillar slowed to a halt near the top of the cliff, he fell to his knees.
"Hoo...sleepy all of a sudden...gonna...take...a nap..."
"No wait! Von! Dont go to sleep! We cant move you! EEP!"
Von fell forward, nearly crushing Ciarra under his body as she dodged out of the way. He hit the ground with a thud, completely out of it. Hashu shook his head in disbelief.
"He wasted all that energy, it must drain him more then he thought. Well, it looks safe enough up here..."
"Your not serious..."
Von slept, his breathing deep and normal as his mind began uncovering memories and dreams alike.

[COLOR=Indigo]OOC: CURSE YOU ALL! DAMNIT! I don't want to post agian, but seeing as I am forced to...grrrr...lazy people...:: points accusingly at Halas and Hashu and all the other freaks who stopped posting pages ago...::

IC: Yelping slightly, Ciarra jumped out of the way as von suddenly fell unconcious...[I]Well...great timing big dude...[/I] she thought, but her wolfish face was wrinkled in concern. [I]Men are stupid. They think they can do stuff, but then they end up using up too much energy or straining their back or something dumb like that, thus getting the rest of the group they may be traveling with...nowhere...[/I] Ciarra pulled back her lip in a wolfish grin/laugh and sat down at Arian's feet, gazing up at her with her green eyes. [I]I wonder how long it will take till she says I'm cute or something...[/I]Her tongue hung slightly out of her mouth and she shifted from paw to paw, still looking up at Arian and wagging her tail slightly.
5...4...3...2...1...
"AWWW! Isn't Ciarra cute as a little wolfie! She's just like a cute little puppy except bigger and...fluffier!" Arian stated, going all watery eyed.
Hashu laughed and shook his head and Halas frowned slightly.
"I suppose she is kinda like a puppy..." he said.
Ciarra glanced at him and shifted into the form of a baby wolf. [I]Mine as well entertain them while we wait for Von to wake up...[/I] She wagged her small tail and wobbled over to Halas, sitting on his feet and giving a slight yap.
"I almost can forget that it's actually Ci, not a real wolf...she's So cute!" said Arian, and picked Ci up.
Ciarra squirmed in Arians tight embrace.
[I]Choking me...Choking me...[/I]
"Uh...Arian...she's turning blue...I didn't think wolves could do that..."
"Wha...OH! Sorry Ci..." She said, placing a gasping ci-pup back onto the ground.
Disgruntled, Ciarra shook herself and then walked over to Von, becoming a full grown wolf again as she did. She sighed, and then after circling him once, decided to try to wake him up...there wasn't really time for fooling around...or unconciousness...She backed up as far as she could and then started running.
ARROOOO! Ciarra howled and then leaped onto Von, turning into a pup again as she did so, and landing upon him a bit hardly...
"ACK! Wha?!" Von sat up, sending a Cia-pup tumbling off him.
"A bit harsh Ci...wouldn't ya say?" commented a smiling Hashu.

OOC: There...Katana has been complaining that my posts are too melancholy and serious...so I posted a humorous one for once...or at least, I hope it is humorous...maybe it'll at least be enlightening...AND YOU ALL BETTER START POSTING REAL POSTS, NOT THIS SHORTIE SHORT CRAP! JEEZ! AM I THE ONLY REAL RPER HERE? ::flips out...::

OOC: Did you actually forget my screen name? That's pretty bad. Hey, I'm not lazy, I just have other things to do. Beohrun is being to most lazy. But is it just me or is it just the five of us posting? Dmage has only made one post, Sonata told me that she quit, Ugamon hasn't made a post in a VERY long time, plust Simplicity hasn't made a recent post either.

IC: Hashu smirked and said aloud," Well, I'm gonna go. Feel free to tag along, if you wish."
"Very funny Hashu. If I remember correctly it was YOU who joined us" said Halas.
"Trust me I didn't plan on it" he said started to lose his grin. He really didn't plan on meeting the others here. He didn't plan on meeting them at all, but, this means he could assemble his own team, just like Aprales was going to assemble his own. Hashu just remembered that moment when he was with that girl. What was her name? Lily. That was it. Just the name soothed his mind. He stopped and remembered that he was seperated from her at the battle. Hashu wondered what happened to her. Did she flee, did she join Aprales, was she killed by Aprales? Hashu only hoped that it didn't come to her dying. There wasn't much he had to remember about her, but most of the memories he liked.
"Hashu, Hashu. HASHU!" Von yelled.
"WHAT?!"
"You coming or what?"
Hashu looked and noticed that the others were ahead of him by quite a long ways. He ran to catch up. They were bound to know that something was up. Unless they were COMPLETLY oblivious, they would know that something happened to him before he met back up with them. They probably just didn't want to ask, since he seemed to come across serious. He wondered if Ciarra had picked up another person's scent on him, since he DID carry her to the lab. He was hoping that SHE'D ask about it, since if she DID pick up the scent, then Ciarra could track down where Lily had gone to. Hashu really wanted to see her again. Only time would tell if his traveling companions would work up the courage to ask him. He walked on with them, to face the sleeping Balverines.

OOC: Couldn't think what else to post. You all knew that this would happen EVENTUALLY.

Arian held her breath as the creatures snorted away, their bodies heaving up and down with their steady breathing. Von was the first to make a move; he carefully took a step into the cave to make sure the bests didn't hear him. Upon seeing they didn't, he heaved a huge sigh of relief.
Ciarra had morphed back to her human self, clutching the bow in her hands tightly. "Let's get them quickly before they kill anybody else," she whispered. Arian nodded.
"Yeah." She turned aroundd and saw Halas and Hashu, both with drawn weapons, each looking as tense as ever. Arian turned her head back to focus on Von, had slipped out of the cave and was now standing beside Ciarra.
"Okay - three - two - one -"
"Let's jam."
Although slightly faltering due to Von's last remark, the five attacked, and the balverines awoke in an uproar.
"Holy shit!" Von hollared, slashing, bashing, and ripping apart the creatures as they came to him in a swarm of bloodystained fur.
Ciarra fired arrows to the best of her abilities, piercing numerous beasts in the heart. Halas and Arian stood mere feet from each other, doing tag-team work. Hashu, (somehow) near the back of the cave, vaulted over corpses.
[i]This is way too easy,[/i] Arian thought, gritting her teeth as one the balverines slashed her shoulder in an opening she had created by a badly-aimed strike. [i]This shouldn't be so easy...[/i]
And in accordance to Murphy's Law, she was right. There came a loud, booming roar from bowels of the cave. Ciarra shruddered slightly when a second roar echoed.
"I'm guessing...they're leader is in the back," Halas said, piercing his sword into a dead balverine. Between the five laid piles of the beasts' corpses, and the smell of rotting flesh began to fill the cave.
"Crap, let's get this boss killed before I get nausiated," Arian said, following Von and Hashu, who had already started heading in the direction of the roar.[/color][/size]

IC: As soon as the fight began, Halas realized the stupidity of using a sword. The rough pommel of it was heavy and felt unnatural in Halas' hands. Still, it was silver, and was likely to do well against the huge white balverine. Halas began to wave the sword around clumsily at the towering creature, who reeked of blood and rotting flesh. He was hit, and he flew back into the wall, falling flat on his face. He got up, slowly, looking at Hashu fighting against the giant creature while Arian pelted it with silver arrows, but none of them seemed to do much against the White Balverine. He shrugged the arrows off, and Hashu was barely able to pierce the creature's skin with the sword. Halas threw a fireball at the Balverine, right as it stood over Hashu. It stopped, and turned to Halas, hunched over at the other end of the cave. It bounded over, and began to attack Halas. Clumsily he tried to dodge out of the way, but to no avail. He was thrown around like a rag doll, always being hurt, but not enough to seriously wound him. Finally, Hashu's silver blade pierced the back of the Balverine, and it collapsed on the floor, letting out a nauseating and almost deafaning roar.

"Was that it?" Hashu said, pulling the bloody sword out of the back of the creature. Halas shook his head, the entire scene unfolding in his mind. They would leave, and the balverine would tacke them, tearing each one apart, completely by surprise.
"Stab it again." Halas said, glancing down at the balverine.
"What?" Hashu said, obviously wanting to be done with this entire thing.
"Just get it over with, I'm getting sick of all these stupid balverines." Arian replied. Halas readied the sword, and was ready to bury it in the Balverine's heart when it knocked him away. It wasn't dead, not yet, at least. Hashu rebounded and charged at the Balverine, slashing wildly at it. Halas was dumbstricken, and he didn't know why. Suddenly, he found words coming out of his mouth, echoing in the depths of his mind.

"Run!" He yelled, his eyes blank and glazed.
"Damn it, Halas! Help us! I can't...activate...hyper mode-" His words were cut short as the balverine tossed him across the cave.
"Hashu, Arian, Everyone, RUN!" An aura of red flame began to formulate around him. Suddenly, fire burst out of him in a nova, sending a wave of flame in all directions, lighting the cave in a red inferno, as a torrent of smoke formed around Halas.

When the smoke cleared, he saw the singed walls of the cavern, the charred bones of the white balverine, and his friends were nowhere in sight. His vision blurred, but he thought he saw them emerging from behind the walls or from behind a pile of Balverine corpses, but he fell faint, and collapsed on the floor...[/COLOR]

OOC: Bleh, not my best post by any means, but I haven't posted here for a looong time.

OOC: Beoruhn. You seem to think that you kill threads. By observing your last post, here is some advice. You don't post in an RPG because you haven't posted in a while. That is why you think the post was lame. You post in an RPG when you have inspiration. In your spare time, you need to think a little of what your character could do next. That is sometimes what I do.

IC: Hashu looked at the fainted Halas. Hashu walked up to him and picked him up. "Come on. There's no more reason to stay here. We slayed the Balverines, so lets go." Hashu said as he dragged Halas' feet across that floor with Halas rested on Hashu's shoulder. They set up camp in the forest nearby. Around the fire he saw that there was a lake. Hashu saw that Arian was tending to Halas. He just thought of something. "WELL! I think I'm going to go get us some more fire wood. Von. How about you go get some water and take Ci with ya too." Hashu said winking at Von. Von got the hint and left with Ci to get water from the lake. Hashu went out into the forest. He saw Halas was waking up. He could tell that there would be a sappy moment, so he decided to get out of site. Hashu started to smile at his own cleverness, but then, Hashu stood stiff, remembering Lily. ".....Lily. Why can't I find you?" he whispered to himself. Hashu was tired of waiting for Ci to pick up Lily's scent on him. He was going to find her by himself. They weren't helping him before in finding her, so they won't now. Albel took out his sword and started carving a message in the tree he was at. It read " WENT TO FIND LILY" Albel then decided to activate Hyper Mode, making it quicker to travel. Albel was glowing and having energy pulse through his body. He ran as fast as he could across the land. The best place to start tracking would be the lab that he had taken flight out of. He ran to where he thought it would be. Albel, who was still in Hyper Mode, looked and saw the lab off in the distance. He ran as fast as he could to it. Albel came up to the doorway and deactivated Hyper Mode. He just hoped that he wouldn't need it later on. Albel went inside and looked around, hoping that Lily or a trace of her would be here. Albel looked over and saw Lily on the ground unconsious. "LILY!" Hashu ran over. He picked her up and saw that her body had been torn up by glass. Hashu tried to take out the pieces, but they were too small. He would have to find a doctor. Hashu held Lily close to him. "Lily. I'm sorry that I left you. I never should have! I'm so sorry." he said, hoping his words would get through to Lily. The shards had torn through the lab coat she was wearing, which made Hashu see she was nude. Hashu took of the top part of his robe and tried to cover her as best as he could. He had an shirt on, under the robes, so he didn't mind getting rid of the top. Hashu picked Lily up and ran as fast as he could to the doctor.

OOC: Since Simplicity didn't post where her character went, her character just stayed there.

IC: Ciarra caught the wink that Hashu gave Von, and blushed. She stared at her toes while she was walking towards the lake with Von, unsure of what to say. There had been alot that had gone on in the past few hours/days, plus, she wasn't so sure how to handle the feelings that she seemed to have whenever she was around him.
"erm..." she cleared her throat, but was still at a loss for words.
They arrived at the Lake, and Ci finally looked up, blinking her eyes once.
"well err...I...err..." she had no clue how to say exactly what she wanted to say, and her tongue seemed to have turned to cotton. Von looked at her, seeming confused, but smiling still. She gave him a smile and then tried again, bending down to fill a bucket with water as she attempted to find her voice.
"well," she started uncertainly. "I figure it would be right to tell you...about how I have been feeling. I don't remember if I have ever felt this way before...but something tells me this is the first time." Cia paused. "I seem to be thinking about you alot lately, ever since we met you've been on my mind more and more. When I see you...I feel happier and almost lightheaded."
Standing up again with a full bucket, she looked up into Von's eyes, wanting to see what they would show when she spoke her next words.
After a short silence, she spoke again,
"I think...I think I might be in love with you."


IC:buwahahahaha! Intense! except...kinda boring too...I am rusty...I haven't RP'd for a bit, and my brain is dead...[/COLOR][/FONT]
