Flare Falcor
Obviously.... since GC uses disks instead of cartridges.... doubt it'll need an expansion pack.... considering the graphics are already really good.....
NorykoAngelcry
Hehe, N64 games on the Gamecube? though it would be awsome, it isn't true, go smack your friend for me ^_^ And since you already stated the Panasonic version, I will say that there are no plans atm for anything else like that. They have the modem you can attach for online playing, but I don't believe that they have anything in the works right now. Perhaps they will up the system if it does really well =P Who knows though. . *shuts up*
Fall
That would be kinda cool if it could, but it isn't true, like NorykoAngelcry said............... And yeah, I don't think it will need an expansion pak for some games........
NorykoAngelcry
LOL, Nintendo_Freak, I like the sig very much (now that I sat down and read it) ^_^ I had a friend who used to say that about Smash Brothers too =P We get some awesome laughs from that game, as we still play it to date. And the other qoutes, I love! Nice touch adding the qoute from Miyamoto *two thumbs up* Shutting up now. . *shuts up*

As for the expansion pack...well, GameCube has no memory expansion ports that I know of. It does have several high-speed data ports underneath, but those are used for communications like dial-up and broadband modem. Nintendo would want to avoid selling add-ons as much as possible. The GameCube is very easy to develop for and as such, I think that Nintendo feel that they've hit a "performance plateau", in the sense that consoles are so powerful now, that they don't really need to be anymore powerful to achieve the desired result. Basically, developers can imagine any scenario and bring it to life with GameCube. That is how far the hardware has come. I hope that helps.
Stormbringer
The only "memory" expansion that I can think of is a modified memory card. It's got a small slot in it so you can insert a memory disc for something like a digital camera and import the pictures into the Gamecube games.... or something like that. It's still in the works, though But even then, it's not really an expansion, more of a port.

dude_sweet
game cube is out already! it is in k-mart for $199.99 as for the n64 games...your friend must be screwed. gamecube plays disks, right? than how could it play n64 games? it can't. unless they put a spot to insert it, or a port to connect you n64 to the game cube, but they didn't...so forget it. if he still won't listen to you, just tell him to read this thread, ok?
