Substitute/Defense baton passer. Surf is there incase Vaporeon is the last pokemon. Heracross Adamant @Salac Berry(Ups speed 6 levels no matter what) Ability: Swarm (Ups BUg moves when HP is in red) EV: 252 ATT, 6 HP, 252 SPD Substitute Focus Punch Revearsal Megahorn Stratagy: Heracross will use substitute until it's red. If the substitute is gone, I will use Focus Punch. When Heracross's HP is at red, Salac berry activates and also swarm will activate. I just use Revearsal all the way. I use Megahorn when a psychic or a ghost pokemon appears. Snorlax Adamant @Chesto Berry (Wakes up pokemon when it's asleep) Ability: Immunity (the poison status effect will not effect snorlax) EV: 252 ATT 129 DEF 129 SP.DEF Curse Return Shadow Ball Rest Stratagy: Curselax. Skarmory will use spike 3x, toxic the pokemon, and roar, toxic, roar. Repeat until everyone is poisoned. Then I use Roar again and again until every dies. All pokemon with Levitate/is flying types will die to Drill peck or poison :D. Team stratagy: Umbreon starts out with Mean look. THen it double team to the max, Umbreon baton passes to Vaporeon. Vaporeon uses SUbstitute and then Acid armor to the max. Substitute when it gets desrtoyed. Vaporeon Baton passes to Ninjask when substitute is up and acid armor doesn't work anymore. Ninjask uses Swords dance and sweeps with aerial ace/silver wind until the speed boost stops working. NInjask baton passes back to Vaporeon when subtitute is gone. Other wise, Ninjask baton passes to Heracross and sweeps. Heracross uses the substitute + focus punch stratagy until the HP is red. Salac Berry activates as well as Swarm. Heracross uses Revearsal/Megahorn until it dies. SKarmory comes out and uses spike 3x. Toxic, roar repeat until every is poisoned. THen I keep roaring to make full use of Spike. If SKarmory dies, I bring out Snorlax and Curse sweep the remaining pokemon. >_>. Over did it didn't I?
Erika
Alright, I've finally got my team together to counter my friend's Flyer team. Lol, you got quite the strategy Mithos! ^_^ Me likies. I'll evaluate it in my next post. ^_~ I gotta post mine up first before I forget. :p Oh, and btw, you should've included the Pokemon's type also...it can help, although I personally know the type of every Pokemon...but just in case someone else evaluates. ^_^ Ok, before I start I'll let you know that my foe's team consists of mostly Flyers: Politoed, Pidgeot, Dragonite, Charizard (and I know she has GOOD S.ATK), Aerodactyl, and Arbok. What version this team is: Sa/FR Wailord - Relaxed(DEF+/SPD-) @Chesto Berry (cures Sleep; one-time use) Ability: Water Veil (prevents Wailord from getting a Burn) Type: Water EV: All in DEF. -Whirlpool -Surf -Rest -Sleep Talk (Egg Move) Strategy: Basically to trap in his Rock-Flyer and Fire-Flyer, then go in for the kill. I use the ChestoRest combo once my HP is low. ^_~* BUT, the only downside I hate is Wailord's poor Speed--the risk is my foe switching out Aerodactly/Charizard before I get to use Whirlpool. I decided to up her DEF. because I know his team uses Flying attacks, and it's stronger because of the STAB involved (I don't wanna take any risks). Water Veil prevents her from getting a Burn, since I know even his Charizard's Fire attacks can be decent against Water/Rock Pokemon (good SP.ATK). And since his Charizard also has Attract (is female), I picked my Wailord to be female also. Kekekeke. Sleep Talk is just evil here--keeps attacking while her HP fills up and her Chesto Berry's used. >:3 Kyogre - Sassy(S.DEF+/SPD-) @Chesto Berry (cures Sleep condition; one-time use) Ability: Drizzle (causes a rainfall and stays until another weather effect takes place) Type: Water EV: All in DEF. -Water Spout -Blizzard -Thunder -Rest Strategy: I usually would have Surf and Ice Beam instead of Water Spout and Blizzard, but I'm going for power over accuracy this time. And since I'll have him trained in defenses, regular attacks shouldn't bring his HP down too much. As with Wailord, I'm upping his DEF. for the same reason. For the personality, I wanted Bold, but he came with Sassy instead. The rainfall will weaken Fire attacks, and max out Thunder's accuracy, and power up the Water attacks of my entire team. HUZZAH! Electabuzz - Hardy(no stat changes) @Magnet (boosts power if Electric attacks) Type: Electric Ability: Static (has a 30% chance of Paralyzing the opponent if its attack hits Electabuzz) EV: All in Speed -Thunder -Thunder Wave -Cross Chop (Egg move) -Psychic Strategy: Basically a quick assaulter, like Deoxys. I KNOW I have a thing against power-boosting items, but I couldn't find anything else to use that'd help. Besides, I've never tried Magnet with Electabuzz. Thunder will be used along with the rainfall following Kyogre. Cross Chop and Psychic have proved extremely useful in Crystal version, so I've decided to try it out in my FireRed version. I couldn't breed both Cross Chop and Ice Punch on her. <_<; Bah. Blastoise - Sassy(S.DEF+/SPD-) @Leftovers Type: Water Ability: Torrent (multiplies Water attacks 1.5 when HP falls below 1/3) EV: All in Defense -Hydro Cannon -Body Slam -Ice Beam -Yawn (Egg move) Strategy: Just a Water attacker. I decided to breed Yawn instead of Mirror Coat just because I wanna try something new. And don't tell me the disadvantage of Hydro Cannon (Water version of Hyper Beam) because I've already decided to use it. Even though Surf's a good move I sometimes get tired of it. ^_~ My own standard Blastoise would have Earthquake instead of Body Slam, but it's almost useless against a Flying team, so I replaced it here. Plus it has a chance of Paralyzing the opponent. Starmie - Modest(SP.ATK+/ATK-) @Leftovers (restores a little HP each turn) Ability: Natural Cure (status effects on Starmie are cured upon switching out) Type: Water-Psychic EV: All in S.ATK -Ice Beam (or any other Special attack) -Cosmic Power -Recover -Confuse Ray Strategy: Standard Special sweeper, and when used correctly, a wicked one at that. Confuse the opponent, buying Starmie time to boost both its DEF and S.DEF and recover when needed. After that, I let Ice Beam rip upon its unfortunate Flying foes. I may replace it with Thunder, and use Kyogre's Drizzle to my advantage, but since Dragonite and Aerodactyl have double-weaknesses against Ice, I decided to keep it on for now. Deoxys - Jolly(SPD+/S.ATK-) @Chesto Berry (cures Sleep; one-time use)) Type: Psychic Ability: Pressure (Reduce's foe's PP by 2 every time it damages Deoxys) EV: All in Attack -Psycho Boost -Shadow Ball -Rest -Torment Strategy: A quick assaulter. Since my Deoxys is in his attack form, his ATK and S.ATK are pretty high, but his S.DEF and DEF is in the crapper. He has decent Speed, though. THIS Deoxys is gonna focus on physical attacks, so I gave him Shadow Ball. Psycho Boost is there for STAB, and I'll just use it once or twice (to make up for S.ATK). Torment keeps the opponent from using the same move twice, a move which I've grown pretty fond of. Team strategy: I first bring in Kyogre to start the rainfall, which powers up my team's Water attacks, maxes out their Thunder's accuracy, and reduces the power of my opponent's Fire attacks. Then, I just let it fly.
