"There's stil more of them," Azufe warned. And sure enough, more demons came pouring in. "Everyone, folw me!" Azufe instructed. "It's too cramped in here! We'll have a better chance outside!"

There were a few demons between Azufe and the hole he had made. He took them out. "Hurry up!" he shouted before exiting himself. What he saw was Zephyr already battling demons while Seuneu and Anzunden circled above. [Not yet,] Azufe sent to them. [There are many others in there. We must wait for all of them to exit.]

If one were to observe the scene closely, a woman would be seen amid the ruckus quietly sipping a yard of ale. Her eyes wandered lazily across the room as she watched her fellow elementals slash and rip through the demon horde.

How now my sweet creature of indolence?
?Psh. They can handle it. Besides??
?It?s too cramped in here! We?ll have a better chance outside!?
Your cue.
?Ah, mou!?

Kumiko and Epona wove through the mess and made their way towards the largest opening on the wall. A black-haired elemental was there having the time of his life, fighting off the demons with his companions. They did not seem to be losing, but they didn?t look like they were gaining the upper hand either.

?Mind giving us a hand, miss??
?Master Gray, I?ll seal this entrance off.?
?Hurry up.?

Her fingers stroked the floor lightly.
?Sui. Hyouheki.?
The air suddenly cooled and frost slowly formed at the base of the entrance. It spread upwards and athwart, sealing the gap with thick blue ice. Gray took a step back and observed the demons on the other side of the ice; no matter how much the demons pounded, the wall showed no sign of weakening.

?Good work.?
The Earth elemental gave her a quick nod and left. After sticking a strip of printed paper on the ice wall, she too went and joined the others outside.

Kadaj heard Azufe's voice over the din of battle, and moved to follow suit. Whirling in a tight warrior's circle, Kadaj succeeded in hacking a path to the inn's door. Throwing himself forward, two demons behind him were incinerated instantly by Tyiar's gouts of fire. Behind him rose a wall of ice, thanks to one of the other Elementals.

Hmm, that looks efficient enough...but there are still plenty more of the enemy out here...

We will take care of everything here, master!

Yes, Tyiar. That will do nicely.

Kadaj allowed himself a minute to catch his breath and study the surroundings. He noted the fighting abilities of the other Elementals before resting Geo-Crucify on his shoulder and strolling idly towards another pack of demons. Raising his opposite hand, Kadaj cried out.

"Fire Storm!"

The heavens above split as flaming particles rained down from above onto the contained space Kadaj had targeted, cutting down five of the six demons. Entering the radius of his own spell, Kadaj weaved in and out of the rain of fire with lightning agility, bringing his double-katana crashing down on the demon's head before it could raise a hand.

Come to me. I bring Death unto thee, this day...

Lee stood amongst the bodies he brought down, blood stained his arms and face as he turned around to see the wall of Ice

{Master more come} were the words that filled his head when Veradon spoke

(Then we shall strike them down....by the spear of the mist.....we shall crush their souls) Lee replied

They then ran at the demons that swarmed out from behind the woods, Lee stood and awaited them

(Veradon....raise the souls of the underworld and bring these bastards down) smiled Lee demonically

Veradon moved infront of Lee....he then howled into the dark...repeating this howl many times over.....until it became haunting and echoed across the battle grounds..at that moment eerie moans echoed with the howl of Veradon.....and became louder...red eyes appeared in the shadows....dark shadows rose up from the ground..the demons stopped in their tracks as the moans became louder....the demons snarled and then lunged at them....the spirits then retaliated and engulfed them....the demons screamed.....as they were devoured by the spirits.....Lee then mounted Syn who stood close by with Dusk, he drew his spear and they rode towards the remaining demons ripping through them with ease.....more spirits appeared and devoured many more demons.....Veradon attacked them crushing and tearing what ever he lay his claws on which threatened their lives...

(Thank you Veradon) whispered Lee as he beheaded more demons

Dusk knocked down a demon who was running towards Lee....his jaws locked on to the demons head and he shook it wildly, you could hear the crunching of bones between his teeth....and then suddenly....the body flew in an awkward angel while the head remained in his mouth.......and he repeated this over and over again...tearing and shredding a demon one by one

Azufe turned to Kumiko. "Is there anyone else inside?"

"I think the innkeeper fled to the second floor."

Azufe did some quick thinking, than said, "I'll go get him."

Azufe blasted a hole in the wall a bit higher up, providing an opening into a second-story room. He positioned his poles on the ground at a slight angle, then blasted himself up as he'd done to mount Zephyr earlier. This time, he'd angled himself and adjusted the power of the blast to propell himself through the opening he'd made.

Azufe ran through the second story of the inn, checking all the rooms. None had anyone in them, alhough some sowed signs of recent occupation. When he reached the stair, he noticed a large pile of what appeared to be the remains of human bodies at the bottom of the stairs. That's what happened to all the people in the rooms. They tried to make a run for it. Stupid. they would have been better off trying to hide up here.

Azufe was about to turn back when two things happened. First, he saw a door open and someone peek out. And second, he saw a demon at the bottomof the stairs. It was soon joined by several more. There were still demons inside.

Azufe knew that he couldn't get the man out if he used the same hole he entered through. the demons would be up the stairs, cuting the man off. Instead, he shouted "Run!" and the man turned and bolted down the corridor, away from the stairs. Azufe followed hm, and the demons bounded up the stairs.

Azufe was faster than the other man, and so took the lead. When the hallway turned, Azufe didn't. He blasted a hole in the wall, ran through to the room behind it, and blasted another hole. this hole led outside, but he and the man were still on the second floor. When the man caught up, Azufe pushed him out the hole, then jumped out himself. He knew the proper landing techniques, and so wasn't injured. The man seemed to have a problem, but Azufe didn't have time to figure out what, as the demons also jumped out of the hole, and they didn't think twice about the drop. Azufe drew his poles again, and engaged the group of seven demons in battle.

OOC: Sorry I haven't been here. Been on hols. Didn't get the chance to tell you guys. Sorry. I'm back now.

Robin glared at Gray after he kicked the hairless, black-hided, dog-like demon off of her.
I can do it myself! she hissed at him through her mind as she stood up. She withdrew an arrow from her quiver and notched it. Finding a target, she unleashed it upon the line of demons. With her lethal accuracy, it pierced 10 dog demons in one shot. The mere strength of Hades was enough to pierce through three humans or one lizard-person. And accompanied with Robin's accuracy, not a single target had ever escaped alive.

Sprinting light-footedly through the other elements, she retreived her arrow and jumped out of an already smashed window. Arawn followed her. Robin looked around a wolf-whistled. Raven smashed his way out of his stall, hearing his mistress's call. He stampeded towards her. With a delicate jump, Robin swung herself into Raven's saddle. Arawn sprinted beside her.

Mistress, perhaps this is the time to end this? Arawn suggested. Raven snorted in approval as they weaved through attacking demons.
" Yes, perhaps this is the time. I haven't used my ultimate technique for years. It will show the others we're not to be messed with," Robin replied. Raven wheeled around to face the onslaught of demons. Her black velvet eyes swirled with clouds of impending doom.

Standing up on the back of Raven, she levitated herself up into the air, calling forth the element of death. Notching an arrow onto Hades, she started muttering a spell. Black symbols of death swirled around the tip of the arrow. A wind gusted up around her. Robin muttered ancient words of death in Elvish. At that moment, she unleashed the arrow. It hurtled towards the demons. Sensing doom, they scattered and tried to escape but to no avail. The arrow hit the earth. A hemisphere of death energy exploded and rippled outwards, causing death to all demons. Any Elemental that was caught in the hemisphere would not be harmed. Within seconds, most of the demons were killed.

Robin slowly levitated back down onto Raven's back, panting. Beside them, Arawn was panting also.
" And THAT wasn't even full power!" she whispered triumphantly. Arawn and Raven nodded and made theri way back to the others. Robin hooked her bow over her shoulders. She looked inside the inn. Many of the other Elementals were finishing off the rest of the demons. Patiently, she waited outside for them so they could travel onto another scene of death, a new battlezone soon will be drenched in blood.
___________________________________________________________________

Aricin and Zarek looked on as the Chief General of the Army laid plans and strategies out before them. They had decided, as father and son, that they would defeat these demons even if it meant sacrificing their lives. They planned to march out and meet a demon onlsaught that was sweeping from the north at the Plains of Semna, the only battlezone ever in Mir.

At that very moment, male and female warriors of every race were banding together as they too, have noticed the sudden uprising of these extinct creatures. Elyron, the kign of the Elves, was gathering Elvish troops in the Forest of Cerridwen. Thorain, the king of Dwarves, gathered his troops in the mountains around Nineveh. And Cobray, the King of the Lizard-people, gathered his troops around the deserts near Phoenica.

Everywhere, people gathered to train for war, something they had never experienced. This would be one of the darkest hours in the kingdom of Mir.

Lee looked around unphased by the bloodied boodies which lay about them, at that moment his head filled with screams from those who were killed, Lee closed his eyes for a moment and put away his sword and spear,

[Master...are you alright?' questioned Dusk who walked up beside him

{I am fine} replied Lee coldly, his eyes turning back to their original colour as he slowly walked up to beside Robin but he never said a word..He gave no name but silence as he listened to the screams in his head

As quickly as she had started, Ianus stood with the whip in her left hand, the glaive in her right, and her companions at her sides. She walked down the streets as an eery mist began to rise up from the dust. The demons ahead stood their ground, but were slowly backing away, not waiting for what would happen if they had met the shadow that followed this sorceress.

The four of darkness came to a stop as they smelled the fear upon these weaker demons. They waited for a stronger opponent to arrive, whom Ianus knew would come. At that exact moment, loud, quaking stomps were heard from the back of Ianus and the animals. They all turned to face Tiranus, the king of demonic half-beasts. A great bellow erupted from his mouth, but they stood without flinching.

"You stand in our way of destruction. Get out of my way, petty human. And take your little pets with you."

Ianus' cloak hid her face, which was why the minotaur could not see the smirk on her face, but her chuckling was heard. The minotaur seemed surprised and growled slightly, not knowing why Ianus was laughing. The laughter kept going and going, until Ianus looked up and her eyes had turned a devious black. The mist that followed began to swirl around her. This signaled the animals to leave her side for the moment.

"HAH! You make me laugh, Tiranus, king of the demonic half-beasts! Did you think that I would walk from this path? Thou must be corrected, for I stand away from no one's path."

"What's this? Stand out of my way, child, or prepare yourself for death!"

"I do not fear death nor do I fear battle. It is that of death and battle that fears me. I should advise for you to prepare for battle."

The minotaur bellowed loudly and visciously. Ianus began to levitate into the air and black energy swirled about her in a calming whirlwind. The energy then appeared around her hands. The minotaur was taken aback, but shook his head and jumped into the air to reach Ianus, but was blown back to the ground.

With each try, Ianus grew stronger and the minotaur grew weaker. At this time, Ianus slowly came back to the ground, but did not touch it. She was 3 feet from the ground and looked at the minotaur. She closed her eyes and had her palms facing the ground. The black energy slowly became two swirls of darkness in front of her, which quickly spread outwards. The minotaur could only look on as the darkness began to reach him. He looked to Ianus, who began to mutter a few words under her breath. The swirls quickly covered everything around and all that were touched by the black haze were blinded and consumed by visions of death and torment, visions that they had never experienced before.

"NO! GET IT OUT! TAKE IT OUT OF ME! AAAHH!"

"Heh. Poor Tiranus, 'tis such a pity that you must see the evil within. Tsk tsk. Let me help you ease that pain."

Ianus turned her palms upward and began to raise them, as if she was pulling onto something. The minotaur and several other demons fell to the ground, holding their eyes, ears, or head, screaming. The dark mist began to swirl around the minotaur, trying to grasp him, but never touching. It began to consume him, drawing him into the darkness, binding him. At this time, Ianus flew her arms to the side, causing the darkness to strain him.

"How does it feel to have the darkness turn on you, Tiranus? Preprae to die."

"NOOOO!!!!"

With one quick move, the minotaur became limp and the darkness returned to Ianus. She landed on the ground and the black mist was gone. The other demons did not move and her work was done. She walked back to the inn, seeing that Robin and Lee were standing there. Ianus pulled her hood over her face before she went up to them. Seiryuu and Veritas sat upon her shoulder and Arcana was visible. Another bloodshed village, another death, another darkness.

OOC: Sorry I haven't posted much, too much school work. And sorry the post's a little short too, I'm currently at school.

Kari stood looking at the corpses surrounding them. Their blood stained the ground beneath them. She looked at them in disgust and looked around for her companions. She saw a black shadow walking along, she ran up to him and saw that he was limping.

"Fell, what have you done to yourself?" she asked.
<"The monsters got in a few swipes."> the wolf replied.

Kari heard a screech and turned her head to the skies, a bird wheeled unsteadily above her and plummeted to land onto her shoulder. Kari examined her bird friend and noticed that her wing had been slashed.

"And what happened to you?" she questioned.
["The monster slashed me after I tried to help Fell."] she answered.
"Where's Kerma?" Kari asked.

They heard the beat of wings and the girl flapped down next to her with just a few scratches.

"Let's continue onwards, we need to get these demons before they continue to flatten these places." Kari said, walking forward to the rest of the group.

Robin watched the others finish off the remainder of the demons. She sat comfortably on Raven who pawed his hooves anxiously. He and Arawn knew what was about to happen and the Elementals had to get there before a slaughter would happen. Soon the others joined her.

" Well that's that," Robin started, " Now, we will move onto a much bigger battle. Currently the world's leaders are gathering mighty armies to defeat the rising population of demons. However, we know that these dog demons are the tip of the iceberg. I can sense beings of death - much much stronger ones. I fear that they will be unleashed on the unsuspecting armies of the races when they meet at the Plains of Semna. Fortunately, they know not of our existence. We need to help them otherwise they will be like lambs before the slaughter. So, I suggest we all move to the Plains of Semna hastily. We will make camp in the town of Ilthica, about 50 miles south of here. We need to get there asap. Is that understood? You can do what you like when we get there, but meet at the fountain in the centre of the town. I'll have more information by then."

OOC:For your next post people, make it when you arrive in the town and something happens to you. its up to you what happens. Go for it.

((Sorry I havent posted in such a LOOONG time, but I was incredibly busy))

Gray laughed at this. Another dark mystery person who doesnt like being helped...pathetic watching them shrivel and die from stagnation...ah well. Her choice, not mine. Least I got to kill something.
"I dont really care if you can do it yourself, if I can kill something that hurts mother earth, I dont care what you do or say, I will kill it."
He was whispering to himself, not really caring if anyone heard. He was still smiling though. He strapped the pickaxe to his back and shouldered the axe. Gray mounted Mane and Enkai stood next to the miner.
"Well, see you all at the town.
Still smiling, he mounted Enkai and took off, not really caring what the others did. Enkai was fast, not nearly as fast as a horse or dragon or flying creature, but none of those could manuever on the ground like the earth tiger.
"Maybe we can buy a drink at the town!"
Gray slapped Shin upside the head.
"Shut it. We dont have money, remember?"
"Oh, yeah..."
Enkai laughed and picked up speed, Mane keeping close by.
----------
They finally began to slow at the town gates. Gray dismounted and stared at the massive entrance.
"Huh...well, lets go in."
"Hold it right there."
Gray turned and saw several dirty men crawl out of the shadows. He stared at them with boredom.
"I hate bandits...no respect for mother earth."
With a snarl, he leapt into them, bading his companions stay out. This would only take a moment.

Lee didn't say anything while Robin spoke. when she finished he watched Gray take off without waiting for anyone else.

{Syn lets ride} Lee spoke to Syn, the white horse reared up and took off with such speed, the only thing anyone actually saw was a white haunting streak as they disappeared into the dark dense woods with a white panther following close behind them and something that wasn't visible pushing apart the trees.

Lee could still hear the screams in his head...as they ventured further away from the warzone his mind became alot clearer and settled...it felt soothing.

[Master Lee...please rest at the town...] spoke Dusk

{My mind never rests....} spoke Lee

Dusk looked up at Lee and then turned his attention back to the front
___________________________________

They stopped just on the out skirts of town, Lee slid off Syn wearily, something wasn't right he could feel it....something moved behind them

Veradon growled and the hair on the back of Dusks body stood on end as he crouched down into a attack stance, Lee slowly turned around as he did that a horde of beasts jumped them, they were deformed and smelt of the swamp, One beast jumped at Lee pinning him against a rock slab, its claws dug into his shoulders, Lee managed to draw his sword and lunged it through the heart of the beast as it was about to rip off Lee's head, Dusk ripped one of the beasts apart

'Damn beasts!,' growled Lee as he took out another with his sword which sung violently

At that moment a beast grabbed him from behind and dragged him back into the woods, he tried to kill it with his sword but as he disappeared into the darkness he was lifted off the ground and shook violently until he dropped the sword, it landed on the ground with a thud, The creature was huge at least stood at twenty feet, it held Lee in its claws trying menacingly to tear him apart, at that moment the beast was attacked by Veradon who torn the beast to the ground while it held Lee tightly

Veradon became wild and out of control as he tried desperately to grab Lee suddenly Veradon let out a shrill cry

'Veradon NO!!,' called Lee as a white mist rose hauntingly from the ground and the sky grew dark

'VERADON!!!,' called out Lee as a mad rush of spirits rose from the ground and flew down from the sky, the red eyed spirits lifted the beast off the ground and crushed it against the trees with Lee still in his grip, the beast was thrown about and torn up with ease as Veradon let out another haunting cry, blood was splattered everywhere and Lee was flung from it's grasp with such force that his body smashed against a thick oak...when it was over there was nothing left of the beasts or the enivronment of trees and stone when the spirits had finished, they had created a huge mile wide and mile long path with pieces of the beasts scattered everywhere

Lee slowly sat up as Veradon, Dusk and Syn ran towards him to see if he was alright

He was deeply grazed down one side of his body, his rib cage was bruised badly from the impact of both hits and pale red blood ran from his mouth, his blood also stained his armour and clothes

[Master Lee...] whispered Veradon as he appeared in form as they gathered around him, Veradons appearance was beautiful as Lee looked at Veradon..Veradon didn't appear the way he thought Veradon was....Veradon was a female!!!.....From her torso up Veradon was human but from there down Veradon had a lions body and she was slender and stunning, Her hair was white and long and stopped midway down her back...her eyes where a pale blue....and she had pale skin and fangs, around her body she wore a white fur vest..she was beautiful and amazing to look at...Lee couldn't stop stearing at her...this was the first time anyone or anything amazed him

'Veradon...why didn't you tell me that you were female...after all this time?,' questioned Lee as she put her head down

'You never asked' she spoke softly with a smile, 'and I was frightened that you may think less of me because me being a female,'

'Veradon..I could and would never think anything less of you,' spoke Lee

'Thank you master,' she spoke, 'Are you alright?'

Lee had forgotten about the pain until she questioned his condition, 'I'm ok...just don't do that again...well not while I'm being held by something that you want to kill,'

Veradon smiled, 'Yes Master,'

Veradon then began to fade when Lee spoke out

'I wish you wouldn't hide yourself' whispered Lee as she stopped fading, 'You know I wished you wouldn't do that,'

'I know...but I'm just....' she spoke her voice fading

'i know....if you want you can...but I wish you wouldn't,' spoke Lee

'For you...i wont hide...,' she spoke softly

They then entered the town, Lee limped slowly, everyone looked at them, Veradons movements were hauntingly graceful and mesmerised those who steared at her

'Master Lee...they keep stearing,' spoke Veradon

'Don't worry about them, just egnore them,' Lee smiled softly for a moment..a smile only they see..and then it turned back to the way it always was

OOC: Hope this is ok amgoddess..pm me if it isn't

Kadaj's face was expressionless as he resheathed Geo-Crucify across his hips, sending out a mental message for Tyiar to return to him. The phoenix spiraled downwards, and as it spiraled it grew smaller, until it was small enough to perch upon Kadaj's shoulder. Its feathers dimmed to a dull reddish-orange, just enough to distinguish Tyiar from other birds but not bright enough to garner attention from any passers-by that the two might encounter en route to the town. Kadaj's eyes shifted to regard Robin as she spoke. For some reason, his gaze lingered on her a moment longer after she finished. An element of Death...and she seemed to know much more about the situation than the others. Kadaj made a mental note to question her when time provided.

Instead of riding as the others did, Kadaj chose to walk, setting a casual pace. His arms hung loosely at his side, still tense from battle but gradually beginning to relax. Who were these others, that he had never seen or heard of before? The other 'Elements'...Kadaj knew nothing of them. But according to Robin, they all possessed the same innate connection to a form of energy. Perhaps...thought Kadaj, I should make an attempt to talk with each of them, at least once. No harm being friendly, he supposed. Tyiar flared his tail feathers to keep his balance as Kadaj jumped lightly over a large puddle in the middle of his path. Yet friendliness has never been my strong point...

********

Entering the town of Ilthica, Kadaj's eyes quickly took in his surroundings. Buildings, buildings, more buildings...roads and shops....people, of course...nothing of exceptional interest to him. He spotted the fountain Robin had spoke of, a large curving structure, probably chiseled to resemble a breaking wave. From various crevices ran clear water, splashing into the circular basin below. Kadaj walked towards it and sat at the fountain's edge, Tyiar still perched on his shoulder. Folding his arms across his chest, Kadaj leaned backwards and let his gaze wander to the sky above. He had nowhere else to go, so Kadaj would simply wait until Robin called the others to the fountain, in order to say her piece.

Azufe was the first to reach Ilthica, simply because of the speed of the three dragons. Azufe didn't waste the extra time, however. He contacted everyone he knew who was in the area, gathering what information he could on the current situation. There wasn't anything new. Eventually, the others began arriving. Azufe didn't join any of them. Instead, he returned to the dragons, whom he had left outside the town. [I have no new information, and the others are starting to arrive,] he told the dragons.

[Do you plan to remain with them?] Seuneu asked.

[For now. We'll stay for as long as they remain usefull.]

[If we are to remain with them, you should tell them what we know about the demons,] Zephyr sent. [An informed ally is much more valuable than an ignorrant one.]

[True,] Azufe agreed. [They don't seem to know very much. Certainly, they have no idea of the powers some of the demons posess. We are all supposed to meet at the fountain. I'll tell them then.]

Robin watched the others fade away into the distance as they made their way to the town of Ithica. She spurred Raven to the other direction.

Are we not going to Ithica? Arawn asked.
" Not yet my faithful Arawn. To Elyron," Robin replied and spurred Raven to a full gallop. Arawn ran alongside obiedently.
___________________________________________________________________

Full green leaves fluttered down from the fullgrown trees. Robin unsaddled herself from Raven and led him to his stall. Her and Arawn then walked to the Elvish Council Chambers in Cerridwen. Elyron was a fatherly figure to Robin and she took his advice as often as he gave it.

The air was quiet....dedly quiet. Robin's hunter instincts started to kick in. Something was wrong.....very wrong. She took her bow off her shoulders and notched an arrow. A small crunching of dry leaves made Robin whirl around and draw Hades to its full extent. Elyron stood elegantly as the tip of the arrow touched his chest.
" You have come for information Robin?" he asked magestically.
" Yes I have."
___________________________________________________________________

Soon, Robin, Raven and Arawn had arrived in Ithica and made her way to the fountain. It was the dead of the night when she made her appearance. Elyron had said to her to be more friendly to the other Elementals and not be so much like her Element. This was extremely hard for her as she was shunned by commonfolk.

The fountain sprayed water elegantly. Robin sat down. Arawn jumped up beside her and nuzzled into her side.
" You and Raven have been the only ones who have stuck to my sides. Maybe I should be more kind to the others," Robin trailed off.

Kadaj's voice came to her suddenly. " Robin, took long enough."
Robin whirled around. " I had to get some more information about these demons. It seems we've bitten off more than we can chew. But I want to tell everyone at the same time. It's a too long a tale to tell separately."

"I see." Kadaj rose, eyeing Robin and her companions. Tyiar ruffled his feathers and sought a better perch on Kadaj's shoulder, noticing Robin for the first time.

Who is the girl?

Our leader, the element of Death. Remember?

Nay, though I don't know how I could have missed her. She is...easy on the eyes.

Kadaj inclined his head enough to give Tyiar a disapproving look with one eye. Regardless, he could see some truth in the phoenix's words.

"What is it?" said Robin, noticing Kadaj's expression.

Be quiet! he hissed mentally at Tyiar, then refocused his gaze on Robin. "It's...nothing. Tyiar gets restless when we stay in one place too long."

"Oh? So you are a wanderer, then?"

"Something like that." Kadaj rubbed a hand on his neck absently. "Anyways...shall I help in rounding everyone up, or do we have a minute to relax until our next...assignment?"

OOC: I'm sorry for not posting for so long, I'm trying to post more often but it's hard with all of my school work. I'm struggling to keep active in a lot of RPs lately, only 1 and a half weeks left (of school), then I'll post more often.

Kari, Larka, Fell and Kerma slowly made their way to the town of Ithica. They had to travel slowly because of their wounds, Kari and Kerma mainly just kept a slow pace because of Larka and Fell. Kari had bandaged up both of their cuts but they were still not fully able to use those limbs. Larka was still hanging onto Kari's shoulder, while Fell limped along the ground.

"We must go faster." Kari noted, seeing no one else from the group nearby.

Kari got an idea and put her bag on the ground and opened it.

"Fell, jump in." she said.

The wolf looked at her warily and limped in, settling down with the help of Kari. She did it up, just loose enough so Fell could breathe properly. She picked it up carefully and passed it to Kerma.

"Kerma, fly with this, just hold it on your front and hold onto Fell, ok?" she asked.

Kerma nodded and put it on backwards, wrapping her arms gently around the bag that encased the black wolf.

Then Kari took Larka off her shoulder and held her, closing her wings next to her body.

"I'm sorry to you both, I know these positions are uncomfortable but we need to get to Ithica quickly." Kari said.

Kerma took off into the air and Kari started to run, they made it to Ithica in no time and she decided to just go to the fountain, which would let them get a drink and wash the caked blood off Larka and Fell's wounds and rebandage them.

Lee walked the streets of Ithica, it was dark but he walked as if he knew where to go. Beside him was Dawn, Syn and Veradon.

'Lee...please let me carry you,' spoke Veradon as they watched him stagger along the path

'No, I can walk,' spoke Lee as they continued on

In front of them Lee spotted the fountain, standing beside it was the girl Robin and a man with their companions

Lee walked over to the fountain and sat down without saying a word, Dawn and Syn began to drink the clear water while Veradon slowly advanced towards them and sat down on the ground

'So...where's the rest?' questioned Kadaj looking at Lee

Lee slowly looked up at him but said nothing

'Well...I asked you a question,' spoke Kadaj raising one brow

'I don't answer questions I don't have answers for,' spoke Lee in a distant tone without looking at the man

Kadaj looked at him with an awkward stare, 'The silent type I see,'

Lee didn't reply as he stood up

Kadaj and Robin looked at him

'So...whats your name?' questioned Robin

'Lee,' he spoke quietly in a haunting tone

And then walked off and sat under a tree that was not far from the fountain

'Please excuse his rudness,' spoke Veradon as she stood up shyly and walked towards them, 'It is just hard for him to interact with people after....'

Robin and Kadaj looked at her, 'Well he should learn,' spoke Kadaj

Veradon put her head down, 'We know he can seem heartless and cold and even at times...it seems as though he doesn't care...but deep down..he's a good soul and we know he cares...he's only like that because of what his element is..to him he see's it as a burden more than anything else..he fights with it always...trying to control it...but it more or less runs him so he pulled himself away from humanity,'

Lee sat under the tree waiting for everyone else to arrive, Veradon slowly walked up to him and sat down as did Dawn and Syn, he felt more better when he was around them

"Anyways...shall I help in rounding everyone up, or do we have a minute to relax until our next...assignment?" Kadaj asked after Veradon explained Lee's behaviour. Robin watched Veradon join Lee with one eye.

Lee isn't the only one not able to interact with humanity readily. Elyron warned me of my ignorance. I wish I could do that to Lee. His element and mine are closely related. I understand some of his pain. I dearly hate my element but I was given it nonetheless and I shall use it for the good of this world.

" We shall relax for the moment my dear Kadaj. Tyiar will have to wait until we move. I fear that the Battle of the Five Armies will descend on us sure enough," Robin replied to Kadaj's question.

" I wish the others would hurry. Our time is running shorter than I had hoped."

[Companions, I present to you?]
They?ve been walking around for countless hours now and already night has fallen. Epona (their self-proclaimed guide) had been leading them since they left their short stopover at a temple. Scrambling over a ridge, they hoped (on the doubtful assurance of the Serpent) to finally come upon the bustling town of Ilthica.

[ILTHICA!]
Nil. A vast barren land greeted the travelers. They saw only starlight beeing reflected off a river cutting the plain from the eastern mountains to the western horizon.

Laughter broke out between Kumiko and Kappa.

?Epona... You got us lost again!?
[Really, Epona! ~kappa!]
[Oi! Stop laughing! I?m pretty sure I smelled Ilthica?s castella cakes in that river!]

Hmm, yes, Kumiko reminded herself. Being a special water creature, he can sniff out scents from water; surely making him lead was a good idea. She looked up and studied the celestial bodies. In three hours, the moon will set. If they don?t run into anything unpleasant, they just might be able to get to the gathering before dawn. *sigh* We may be late, but at least we?re lucky.

?Alright, Epona. To the West.?

"Very well," Kadaj nodded somewhat approvingly. "It's been some time since I had the chance to sit and relax, though it seems odd considering the current circumstances..." here Kadaj trailed off and briefly locked eyes with Robin. She knew what he had meant -- odd that they should find some free time before an impending demonic siege. But then again, Kadaj was no stranger to blood or battle. Sometimes, even in the most chaotic of circumstances, it was necessary just to sit in silence and ponder things other than the present. That was the key to maintaining sanity, especially in times of war. Kadaj let his eyes drift lazily to the form of Lee beneath the limbs of a tree.

So, your element's a burden, eh? Kadaj was laughing in his head. The poor fool. Live with it. Fact is, it's not going to go away anytime soon. An attitude like that will get you killed...killed by someone like me, when I get tired of your inherint whining...

That's not very nice, Master. Tyiar chided him.

Stow it, bird.

Oh! I knew that girl, Robin, looked familiar. Her figure and her long violet hair...that girl reminds me of Lesandrie -- Realizing that he had let his thoughts slip, Tyiar instantly regretted what he had said and tried to catch himself, but it was too late.

The handle of Geo-Crucify thudded into the phoenix's side, knocking the bird off its perch. Unable to spread his wings, Tyiar crashed to the ground as both Kadaj and Robin leaped to their feet. The hilt of Geo-Crucify cleared its sheath as the phoenix's master advanced swiftly upon him. Kadaj disregarded thought-speak completely, his rage allowing for nothing else besides that of the mortal tongue.

"How DARE you speak *her* name in my presence! HOW DARE YOU!" bellowed Kadaj at Tyiar. The phoenix had never seen such rage in his master...save for that fateful day, when Kadaj had unintentionally summoned him. And the only reason Tyiar had survived was by staying in the air, a safe distance away. This time, he had no such luck.

Mercy, Master! I did not mean to--

"SILENCE!" Fire energy sparked about Kadaj's body, summoned by the fury he had displayed. The blade of Geo-Crucify glittered dangerously as it hovered near the phoenix's throat feathers. Robin appeared speechless and tense, unwanting to interfere but unsure of what was going on. Because Tyiar had no mortal tongue, it was impossible for anyone to discern the argument between master and beast.

"That godforsakened woman is dead! DEAD! I killed that pain a long time ago, and I need no reminder from the likes of you! You forget your place, SUMMON! I called upon you, and I can sure as HELL destroy you if you cross me again! I SWEAR IT! The next person to mention HER name will not wake up the following morning!"

Tyiar took wing, rocketing into the sky and immediately heading as far away as he could from Kadaj. The phoenix knew his master's temper, and decided that it would be best if he remained a safe distance away for the time being. Kadaj had by no means led a pleasant life, and he needed no reminders of that. Tyiar felt more and more guilty with each passing moment, for having let his words slip.

Kadaj gripped the hilt of Geo-Crucify so tightly that it hurt his hands. His body shook with rage, eyes blazing with battle-fire. Heedless of Robin's eyes on him, Kadaj's legs gave way, sending him to the ground. Placing the double-katana point down on the ground, Kadaj gripped the hilt with both hands and bowed over it, using the blade to hold his weight. Rage mixed with sorrow in his mind as Kadaj continued to shake, the blood turning to ice in his veins. A tear threatened to fall from cold blue eyes.

My soul is black with blood, and damned....

Azufe joined the group at the fountain. "You all took your time getting here," he said. "I hope the others hurry. There will not be much time to waste."

"The situation is worse than you know," Robin told him.

"What makes you so sure of that? I know more than you do about the demons. Beforewe all departed for this town, you said that you could sense more powerful demons. I have done battle with some of those stronger demons. I know much more than you do about them."

"I have information of my own," Robin replied.

"We both have things to say, it seems. We will wait for the others. When they arrive, you will go first. After you've said what you have to say, I'll say what I have to say. then we will decide on a course of action."

Gray trudged up to the fountain a few moments later, wiping blood off his axe. He glanced at the others before sitting down on the ground. Mane and Enkai curled up behind his back, and Shin laid down on Mane. Gray stared at the ground for a second before looking at Kadaj.
"...You alright?"
"..."
The miner shrugged before leaning back, closing his eyes.
"Sorry I took so long. Had to deal with some fools who believed they could trounce all over Mother."
"Mother?"
Shin piped up immediately, desperate for attention.
"He means the earth. We think of her as our mother since without her, none of us or even you would exist."
"Shin...shut up. People like these dont care about it..."
"But..Gray..."
"I said shut up! They dont care, understand?"
Gray turned over, pushing his face in Enkai's fur. The earth tiger looked at the others, and spoke so that the miner couldnt hear him.
"He gets like this after killing humans...demons are one thing, but he hates to shed blood on the earth...please forgive his rudeness..."

Lee looked up from where he sat and saw Kadaj's rage and watched him fall to the ground, he watched as others arrived, Lee stood up and walked over looking at the creature that Kadaj had gone off at.....the many spirits had told him of what Kadaj had thought of him but nothing else

Lee then knelt down by Kadaj who sat on the ground breathing heavily

'So you think I am foolish....why don't you take a look at yourself what fool takes his rage out on someone who has stood beside him for a very long time and threatens those who care about him....although I am foolish for thinking of this gift as a burden....I'm not the one yelling at ones who have stood beside me through everything, you should learn to take your own advice sometimes....Live with it,' spoke lee as he stood up

'How dare you come over here and taunt me with your words!!!..you don't know me,' roared Kadaj

'I didn't say I knew you and in saying that..you had no right to laugh at my exspence when you don't understand my ways as I don't understand yours..but yet you don't see me going off about it...I was not taunting...nor was I mocking, you clearly have a past which to you is best left behind you..same as me..and it is not their fault,' spoke Lee coldly without any emotion in his face

'I have never blamed them!!!!,' roared Kadaj

'No...but yet threaten them as if you do,' spoke Lee

'They do know....they shouldn't of!!,' began Kadaj in rage

'Yes...but they mean no harm, you can clearly see that in their eyes....in their souls,' Lee then looked at them and then looked back at Kadaj, 'To be shunned by the one who you care about is worser than death itself....and by the way....I don't whin and as i've said..take your own advise,'

Lee looked at Kadaj whos anger grew in his eyes, Lee raised a brow, his face showed no emotion, concern or fear to his power and rage as he walked away as if nothing happened and sat back down under the tree

Lee was also told about what Robin had said and he smiled slightly

I should look at it as a gift and not so much as a burden....I have never used the full power of it only because I know I can't handle it....Kadaj was right..live with it.....

"We can't keep waiting," Azufe said. "I don't remember how many of us there are, but we can't keep waiting. Anyone who's not here will just have to be filled in later. Since Robin seems to think everyone needs to hear her part at the same time, I'll go first. What I have to say probably works better if said before whatever she has to say, anyways."

"And just what do you have to say?" Kadaj asked.

"A lot," Azufe replied, "and it concerns what I know about our enemy. I have been pursuing her for some time."

"Her?" Robin said.

"Gwydion. She is the Dark Master's servant in this world, and is responsible for calling the demons here. She is their master in our world. She is a very powerful human sorceress, and learned her skills from the Dark Master himself. She was corrupted by him, and changed from your normal human into the evil one she now is."

"How do you know all of that?" Robin wanted to know.

"That is information I choose not to reveal at this time. I will say only that I have been pursuing her, with the aid of Zephyr the Thunder Dragon and two ordinary dragons, Anzunden and Seuneu. We have been after her for some time. Rest assurred that I am not on her side.

"Now, on to the demons. I have learned much about them durring my pursuit of Gwydion. The doglike ones you've seen so far are just grunts, soldiers. The weakest demons. They are very dangerous to most humans, but simple for any of us to destroy. They even have reasonable vulnerability to weapons, although our powers work much better. They don't have any special powers of their own, just their pysical strength.

"The next level up are demons that resemble the mythical harppies and gargoyles. They have limited fire- and ice-based powers, and are much less vulnerable to weapon strikes. They are also flight-capable. The gargoyles are stronger physically, while the harpies have stronger powers. If forced to fight either one with weapons, go for the wings. If they get into the air, you're in trouble. Take out the wings, then go for the eyes. If one opens its mouth, thrust your weapon up it. That usually takes care of them. However, as with the dog demons, our powers will serve us much better.

"The next level up are demons that appear to be made of stone. These golems are almost completly immune to weapon strikes. They are very strong, and have ground-based powers. Any of our powers will work, though they are most vulnerable to fire-, wind-, and darkness-based abilities.

"The most powerful demons have the forms of skeletal dragon; dragons made entirly of bone. They are completly immune to weapon damage. They are incredibly strong physically, and have very, very strong fire-based powers. Fire-based abilities do nothing to them, and some seem able to absorb the energies of any fire-based abilities that are used against them. They are most vulnerable to water-, earth-, light-, and life-based abilities, although anything but fire works. Any questions?"

There were no questions, so Azufe turned to Robin. "Now, I believe that you have something to tell us. I know you want to wait, and it's your choice wether you want to wait or say what you have to say now, but I recommend that you say it now. We can fill in anyone who misses it. So, make your choice."
