Brasil
Okay, so...what are you all asking for this year? Any particular games that suit your fancy? My list is tentative at this point, because I simply don't have much time to play gmes anymore, and a few 2-year-old games have yet to be beaten. But, I'm listing Pokemon FireRed, Star Wars Trilogy: Apprentice of the Force for GBA. So far, I've got Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Pikmin 2 for Cube. I'm seriously unsure about what I'm looking for on Xbox, though, because I've already got Halo 2, and...I really am not terribly excited about any of the other new releases. I may go with GE: Rogue Agent, but I'm not sure. Either way, though, this is a fantastic Winter for gaming...mega-quality titles released, and surely everybody is going to have something to play, because even a PSX shouldn't be alone on Christmas. :p What's everyone hoping for under the tree this year? How many of you are going to spend Christmas morning with Samus? Is Master Chief going to keep you warm by the fire? What are you all excited about this year?
DeathBug
I'm getting a Duel Screen, but, the list of first-wave releases don't look too interesting, sadly enough. (Fortunatly, some of the later titles get my blood pumpimng.) I only buy one game at a time; I'm thinking I just want Spider-Man for the DS. Shinmaru
Without a doubt, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is my big holiday game. I'm not sure if I'll be picking it up before Christmas, though. We'll have to wait and see, but I'll definitely be getting the game. I'm taking a 'wait and see' attitude with the DS. I've never been that much of a handheld gamer, so the first batch of games are going to have to be really good to make me want to buy a DS, especially when I could just buy a PlayStation 2 for less money. I doubt I'll buy a DS for a while, though. I'd include Resident Evil 4 on thelist, if it weren't coming out next year :( I'm looking forward to that more than any other game. Zidargh
All I ever ask for is games, lol. But damnit! Puberty makes me want to purchase clothes! The Cube .Paper Mario 2: The Thousand Year Door .Metroid Prime: Echoes The Black Box .The Getaway: Black Monday (A maybe...) .Jak 3 .Rachet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal (Another maybe...) .Spyro [Whichever the new one's called] (Every year I've got a Spyro game. Regardless of its target audience, I find it enchanting, lol.) The Larger Black Box With A Green Thing In The Middle .Halo 2 (With Live) That Silver Flip Thing .The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap .Golden Sun 2: The Lost Age (Bought it, traded it. Never gave it a shot.) These are what I can think of right now, Ill add more to my list if anymore catch my eye. [Z]
Semjaza
Unless you magically find a PS2 for $99, it costs the same amount as a DS. I'm going to be asking for one. There's actually a few US launch titles I want, as well as a Japanese only game I plan on importing (Baku Baku, that weird animal game I have on my forums). How people cannot want Mr. Driller Spirits is beyond me. Mr. Driller rocks. I already have most of what I wanted to get... I guess I'll just include that in my general Buying Guide... GCN -Paper Mario 2: The Thousand Year Door (Bought - Rocks) -Metroid Prime: Echoes (Bought - Rocks More) -Baten Kaitos (Good reviews, will get eventually) -Mario Power Tennis (Maybe... I don't know yet) -Resident Evil 4 (Not till next year, but I still think about it now lol) PS2 - Rachet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal (A maybe. I don't like Jak at all, but I don't know if I need another R&C so damn soon) -Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne (GotY for me) -Shadow Hearts: Covenant (IGN's ravings for this are misleading, I've found the game to be rather mediocre) -Snake Eater (I can't even believe this is coming this year... I liked the first, hated the second... not sure yet) Xbox Sold it because I never played the thing. If I get another, it'd be to try Halo 2... But I don't know if I'll bother. GBA -The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (More Zelda from Capcom makes me happy) -DK King of Swing (looks like a blast, I think) PC -Half-Life 2 (Original is amazing still... I really want this game, despite its supposed flaws) -Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (Looks great, I might pick it up later) That's my main list, outside of any weird additions and things I'm forgetting. BlueYoshi
What can I say? The games that I was most looking forward to have already hit the UK. I just got The Minish Cap, and I've had Paper Mario for almost a week now... the only thing left is for me to get Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, which will be due over here next week Friday. If I had to put the games in order of which I'd buy from first to last, then MP2 would take the spotlight. Resident Evil 4 is one of my most anticipated, but I'll buy and play it just for old times sake. I mean, it's not like there'll be much else on offer for the time being. I really want Snake Eater, too, because it looks so damn delicious. The new innovative camouflage options are really stunning, I think, and will open new doors to the stealth genre.
natetron46
I am really thinking about getting a Nintendo DS, but I might wait out for the PSP. I would really like to get some older games that I haven't had a chance to play like Kill Zone or Demon stone, and if I don't buy Budokai 3 by then I think I want that too. But if I get the DS, I dunno. Possibly KOTOR II as well... oh man, the choices are endless...
Sol-Blade
Oh god, I want so many games this season I am not sure if I even have enough money! Why don't we take a look at my list, I've been good this year. :D -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Playstation 2 -Metal Gear Solid 3:Snake Eater -Gran Turismo 4 -Jak III -Final Fantasy XI: Chains of Promathia -Ratchet and Clank: Up your Arsenal! -Front Mission 4 (Came out awhile ago, still haven't gotten it but want it badly) -Mortal Combat: Deception (Same as Front Mission 4) -Katamari Damacy -Midnight Club 3 (Not announced yet, but I am hopeful for a January release) X-BOX -Need for Speed Underground 2 -Silent Hill 4 -Call of Duty: Finest Hour -Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone PC -Doom 3 -Half-Life 2 -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- I have already picked up Killzone and GTA: San Andreas for PS2 and picked up Halo II and Burnout 3 for X-BOX. 2010DigitalBoy
Before you read this, you must know a few things, ONE: I only recently got into PS2, so I don't have much, TWO: I have no X-Box. PS2: Ratchet and Clank Going Commando (the first was my favorite PS2 game) Ratchet and Clank Up Your Arsenal (Its gotten tens from everyone) Jak 2 (looks cool) Jak 3 (looks better) Mortal Kombat decepton (looks to be a great game with online play) Final Fantasy X-2 (if I beat X by then) Gamecube: Metroid Prime 2 Echoes (loved the first) Baten Kaitos Secret of the Lost Ocean (demo seemed cool) Mario Power Tennis ( I loved the first one like crazy) Viewtiful Joe 2 (thats hard to spell) Phantasy Star Online Episode 3 C.A.R.D. Revolution (Multiplayer madness) X-box: Halo (duh) Halo 2 (may as well) Fable (looks very good) Ninja Gaiden (I don't care how hard it is) I can't remember the last one Thats my list. Because I have 2 brothers, I may be able to get quite a few.
BlueYoshi
I can see a good mix of wants for all consoles, but isn't anyone looking forward to any of the upcoming GBA games aside from The Minish Cap? Some of the shmups look and sound really cool, and to top things further, there are already a bunch of other older titles out right now (RPGs in particular) that'd top most of what's coming on offer for the future. Breath of Fire and Yoshi's Island make good examples.
Semjaza
I can see a good mix of wants for all consoles, but isn't anyone looking forward to any of the upcoming GBA games aside from The Minish Cap?
Well, I mentioned DK King of Swing, which I'm really looking forward to. Possibly moreso than Minish Cap. The GTA game also looks quite fun, a nice mix of old and new. I forgot to mention FF 1&2, which I'm really looking foward to. Plus, there's other stuff like Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, Metal Slug, etc. I think there's plenty, for me at least. I think I might have to pass on the DS... the thing is just pre-ordered up almost entirely. Retail stores will get some, sure, but based on my experience, old women buying for their tiny grandsons can get up far earlier than me. I was unable to get the original GBA on launch thanks to them. Word points to the second shipment being after Christmas, too... I've actually been thinking of getting a Tapwave Zodiac 2, honestly. It's just a PDA running Palm OS (with some extra horsepower), but it's laid out for games. Analog pad, 4 face buttons, shoulders. Between the games out for it, the stuff it emulates (I can even play my old Lucasarts adventure games on the thing), its MP3 capabilities, its wireless Bluetooth options and on and on... I think it's a good buy for me right now. I actually found one for a good price (used, but great condition) with some games and accessories... I might pick that up. Iori Yagami
I lack a X-box and PS2 so I won't add them. I'm in decision of whether to buy a DS or not but if I don't I'm listing games that I'd give a shot. Gamecube: Metroid Prime 2: Echoes - The game I'm most looking forward to. Baten Kaitos - Good reviews and looks good. GBA: Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap - If this game is as good as the rest, I'll be happy. Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories - My friend has Kingdom Hearts so I want to try it. Metal Slug Advance - Great game, I hope I can play as Tarma or Marco. 2010DigitalBoy
Isn't this a Christmas list? Minish Cap and Final Fantasy Origins don't come out until February and March. If I was making an all around list, I would have added those two. And I have narrowed my list down to Exactly what me and my brothers are each wanting most. Including X-Box. Me: Halo 2 ( a great first person shooter) Fable (looks to be a great life living game) My brother 1: Mario Power Tennis (We loved the first game) Baten Kaitos Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean (he says he wants it) My brother 2: Phantasy Star Online Episode 3 (the others were his favorite game) Mortal Kombat Deception (one word: online)
Sol-Blade
Err...you probably don't care about my opinion...but Fable was okay. It definitely wasn't everything it was supposed to be, so when you play it I advise you love the game for what it is, not what was promised. I'd advise you read an earlier post of mine in another thread here. :D Link=My Fable...Review? Thoughts? Opinion? James
There is a ton of stuff that I'm looking forward to for the end of the year, unfortunately I simply can't afford it all. lol Thank god Nintendo DS isn't coming out here until early next year; it would snap my bank account into little pieces, I think. ~_^ Anyway, let's see... PC Half-Life 2 (At the moment, this is pretty much the only PC game for the fourth quarter than I'm interested in. The only other one on the horizon for me would be Guild Wars, but that's early 2005). Need for Speed Underground 2 (I only played the demo of the first, but the second one is really what I want; they fixed the things that I didn't like about the original). GameCube Metroid Prime 2 (Still haven't finished MP though...agh). Paper Mario 2 (Just released a couple of weeks ago here, but I still haven't bought it). Baten Kaitos (Been interested in it since the announcement, and now it's finally here). Mario Power Tennis (It just looks too good. It's definitely a must-buy for me). Viewtiful Joe 2 (First was fantastic, so the second is definitely worth buying). PS2 Metal Gear Solid 3 (I will probably eventually buy this, even though I never bought MGS2). Gran Turismo 4 (No brainer for me, really). Katamari Damacy (Way too cool). Silent Hill 4 (It's been out a while, but I'd like to pick this one up). Sonic Heroes (Same as above). There's so much more that I either haven't mentioned here (due to it being a 2005 release), or that I've simply forgotten. Unfortunately I won't have the money to get all the games I want, so I'll have to begin the difficult task of working out which ones I want most. ~_^
Purple Haze
My list is kinda small because most of the games I want come out early 2005 Resident Evil 4, DMC3, Tekken 5, Kingdom Hearts 2. I just bought 2 games from my list not too long ago, Star Ocean 3 and Tony hawk Underground. Xbox Halo 2- Enjoyed the first only because of the muultiplayer, but I really want to try it on Live. Dead or Alive Ultimate- haven't played DOA 2 yet and I have DOA 3 so why not get it. Plus it comes with the very first DOA so I'll have them all. Besides, I wanna try playing it on Xbox live also. Xbox live Kit- Can't play online without it PS2 Need for speed underground 2- Loved the first, and they've expanded on it. Large city to raom and you can now hold more than 1 car gives you the opportunity to experiment with all the cars and tune them for specific race styles. Gamecube Mario Tennis-Loved teh first one so why not get this one. Clorfull graphics and fun gameplay, and even more fun on multiplayer.
Desbreko
Hmm, guess I'll post up a list of what I want. As of yet, I have no idea which of these I'll actually be getting, though. I plan on just asking for money for Christmas and my soon-after birthday and splitting the money between much needed PC upgrades and games. So who knows what I'll decide on. Nintendo DS - System Hardware - Super Mario 64 DS I think getting a DS and SM64DS is going to be on the top of my list for gaming stuff, with the exception of The Minish Cap. I saw a store demo with Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt (which comes with the system, so I'd have that too), and it looked really awesome. And I've always loved Super Mario 64, so I'm really looking forward to the DS version. Nintendo GameCube - Tales of Symphonia - Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Pikmin 2 Yeah, I still haven't gotten ToS, but I do still want to get it. That, and Paper Mario; both look like awesome RPGs that I really don't want to miss. As for Pikmin 2, it's probably on the bottom of this whole list, simply because I want other things more. I'll probably just end up getting it used some time, if no one I know gets it and lets me borrow it. Game Boy Advance - The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap - Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls - Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 Yeah, I know The Minish Cap doesn't come out till January 10, but I probably won't be buying much until around that time anyway, considering I'm going to want to wait until after my birthday (January 3) to see how much money I have to spend on things. Like I said above, it's at the very top of my "most wanted games" list because, as everyone should know, I'm a rabid Zelda fanatic. :toothy: Also FFI&II comes out thid December, by the way, and it's another GBA game I'm looking forward to, as I've said in its thread. And then SMB3, which I've wanted since its release, but never found the spare money for.
Gavin
Interesting, most interesting. Personally I?m not going to get many games, most of the cash I?ve saved up is gone towards the new HP Pavilion we?re getting in the next few weeks. If I do manage to pick up another job between now and Christmas I suppose the list would look something like this. Gamecube - Metroid Prime II (Haven?t played the first but this looks simple divine) - Prince of Persia: The Warrior Within (Loved the first, this is going to rock) - Paper Mario 2 (A maybe, I?ve already got two RPGs I need to beat first) - Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life (Might pick it up over the net if it?s cheap) - MGS: The Twin Snakes (Again I?ll pick it up if it?s cheap) - Viewtiful Joe 2 (Still haven?t beaten the first but this will be excellent) - Tales of Symphonia (Looks simply beautiful, and is supposed to kick ***) Really a mix of action, strategy and role-playing. Gameboy: - Pokémon: Leaf Green/Fire Red (Owned the originals and loved them, this has better be good) - Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (I enjoy any Zelda outing, this seems good) - Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (The shame I sold this a while back, I?ll probably get it again due to it?s excellent nature) Not a massive Gameboy addict, I enjoy the odd outing but my main play machine is the Gamecube as will be my PC when the new one arrives. So practically all those on the list there are maybes. PC - Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords (Have had the first for about 2 months but PC is too crap to play it, this will be brilliant) - Jedi Knight III: Jedi Academy (Loved Outcast, graphics are a bit dated but this will kick ***) - Civilization III: Gold Edition (Or whatever it?s called, played unexpanded III and loved it) - Rise of Nations (Played the demo, relished it, probably will get this) - Anno 1503 (Owned 1602, thought it was great, have meant to buy this doe ages) - Monkey Island 1&2 (Played 3 and 4 but never got a chance to play these, unfortunately they?re near impossible to find) - Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (One of the best gaming experiences EVER, again like MI 1&2 near impossible to find) More strategy, role-playing and action but these are some really kick *** games.

JJ
OOC: Heh, Desbreko, Here in Germany, Minish Cap has been on sale for about two weeks now. Oh, what does Akamaru want this year? Gamecube Paper Mario 2 (I could have played the first one every day, and not gotten bored.) Metroid Prime (I haven't played the first one, so I thought, why play the second one?) Four Swords Adventure (I'm almost done with Windwaker, so I need Zelda to play at home.) All around, I don't want much here. GBA Minish Cap (Zelda Game. Portable Zelda Game.) Final Fantasy 1 & 2 (Heh, who could live without at least one more RPG?) As with Gamecube, I don't want much. This year, I guess I'm leaning more towards money.

Attimus331
Well, i've got halo 2 already, so that wraps up my holiday wish list. Nothing really sticks out to me. I'll probably end up with a Nintendo DS, but i wish Advance Wars would come out with it, but i guess i'll have to wait. Any good suggestions people, i'm still very much undecided. I've got a Xbox, and Gamecube. I've got a GBA, but i'd rather get a DS instead of a GBA game.
TheShinje
A'ight, here's my Christmas Wishlist, I'll probably be getting only 1 of these with my Christmas money, since I'm saving up for Parachute music festival. Which one? I've yet to prioritize them. :p Playstation 2 -Gran Turismo 4 (I've only ever bought the first one) -Ratchet & Clank: Up your Arsenal - Grand Theft Auto: Mexico City X-Box -Halo 2 -Fable I've yet to get an X-Box console yet....so...yeah -_- Amiga -Mc Donald's Land, I know it's just an ad gimmick for McD's, yet since I never completed it, I'd like that chance. -The Jetsons: robotopia Pretty average storybook-like game, yet, because I didn't finish it when i had it, I'd like a chance to, although, since the game is so obscure, I doubt I will. Doc
I am drooling at all the games brought up in this thread, and am urning for them all... but I have a question. Shinje (sic), is GTA Mexico City a misprint? Rockstar has just released San An, and a GTA for the GBA, but I don't think it was Mexico City.
