Image-Banners (or are they neither?)

Haven't made anything in a long time. I started these banner/images a long time ago, but I never finished them. I got stuck on the third image, because I didn't know what to do. I finally finished it yesterday, so now I'm showing them off. ^^;;

I'm calling them banner/images because they're too big to be banners, and not quiet big enough to be a normal image size. 2/3 of all images were made in GIMP and the other 1/3 in MS Paint. I just really don't like Gimp's interface, so for adding the border, and chopping off pieces, I used MS Paint. The highlighting, though, was just dodge and burn. These are really my first GIMP banners, so I didn't know a lot of things to do with them. (I also just discovered the filters on GIMP yesterday - I'm so retarted. *_*;;; )

Here are the banner/images; copy and paste the URL: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/RoxieFaye/Threebanners.png

Hmmms...

I like them >:^D But there are some things about them that I don't like completely. One thing is the text is choppy. It's kinda pixelated, which can bring the whole graphic down if the text is the center of attention (which in my opinion, it is). And on the middle image, the ovals around the text have jaggedness on them as well. It's those sort of things that could be smoothed or blurred to make it better.

Other than that, these are some sexy graphics :^D

My Rating: 7/10 >:^O BECAUSE I SAID SO.

Why did you hijack her thread? Why not just make another thread for your pictures?

Anyway, they're ok. All there is, is a graphic, dim -- and text over that graphic, in an oval shape, high lit. Maybe try different blends of filters together, although I'm not so sure what GIMP has to offer.
