100 years later...

{ I will rise....i am coming to claim whats mine!!!} echoed a voice in his head as he lay in the lust green grass of the Sorian plains

{One hundred years...I have waited for this...One hundred years....I rise to take what should be mine!!!} a dark figure danced above him...the dark figure reached out....

'No!!,' Lee bolted up from his slumber in the medow, clutching his chest and breathing heavily he looked about him with one hand on his sword, 'A dream....but yet so real...'

His blue eyes blinked and he fell backwards letting his arms stretch out, a warm breeze blew gently passed his face and he closed his eyes and took in a deep breath. At that moment a white dove landed on his chest, he opened his eyes and looked at the dove, around it's foot was a message with the seal of Sorian on it, Lee took off the message and the dove flew away. He opened it, it red:

My son,

Return to Sorian Kingdom, at once

Sighed
King Sorian

Lee frowned, his father had never requested him home before...it was strange

'Veradon!,' he hollared out over the pasture, within an instance a black steed ran towards him, its coat glistened in the suns light, The huge steed galloped towards him without stopping, Lee grabbed hold of the main and lifted himself on while the beast was in full speed, Lee landed in the saddle and grabbed the reins as they took off

'Veradon, make haste for home,' spoke Lee.

Sorain Kingdom was imbedded into the Shadarian Mountains, flags of Sorian flew high and a horn was sounded when Lee approached the gates, the gates opened and without stopping they pased threw at full speed, galloping through the township and up the long twisting stair case the lead up to the Sorian Castle which stood strong and grand

Lee dismounted his horse as it pulled to a hault outside the doors of the castle where his father and another man stood pacing the ground

'Father?, why have you sent for me?' questioned Lee as he approached them

'My son, this is Alvadon...Guardian Wizard of the Gates of Valahria,' spoke the King

'Gates of Valahria...isn't that the gates to Graedia...the gates..that...' spoke Lee as his voice trailed off as he looked at the wizard

'Yes,' spoke the Wizard, 'That is the gate way to Graedia..and this is the reason why I am here,'

Lee studied the wizard who stood before him, his features were stern but he had kind green eyes, his hair and beard was long and white and so were the clothes he wore, he was a tall man in his late forties or he could be older because of his wizardry

'Speak,' spoke Lee growing anxious of what was happening

'The Gates of Valahria have been over run.....Thorian Wrath has risen,' spoke the Wizard

'WHAT!,' growled Lee , 'But how?....Those gates....'

'I know, an army of creatures from the Island Graedia came....too fast for just me to stop...everyone there was whiped clean, I managed to escape, I ran to give warning to those who hold a medallion, Thorian has sent out his Shadow riders to find all of those who hold a medallion..esspecially the one you hold, he hungers for the medallion of four elements..spirit, soul, light and dark, although he doesn't know where you all are...he soon will..and if we aren't ready and you all arent ready..he will take what he wants....and he will rule over Valahria,' explained Alvadon

Lee then turned and walked to the ledge which over looked the Sorian township below, he clutched the medallion which he wore around his neck in his hand, the medallion was bigger than the palm of his hand, it had a black crystal stone in the middle of it set in a gold trim, the trim was a strange design but noone knew what it meant, in the middle of the crystal there was a dark blue Saphire. The huge medallion hung from a thick gold chain...it was heavy to others except Lee.

As Lee looked down on the township Alvadon walked up beside him

'I know you hear him,' spoke Alvadon, 'You've heard him for a while,'

Lee's face turned red as he casted his eyes in the oposite direction

'Yes...although...I didn't know that it was him,' spoke Lee as he then turned his attention on the wizard, 'What are we to do?'

'Don't worry about that, messages have already gone out to the other main kingdoms, they will arive soon,' spoke Alvadon

'And what if they don't come?' questioned Lee

'Then they will die, Thorian has grown strong and wise over these past hundred years..this battle will not be easy and we will all need to join together once again...all kingdoms will need to join together if we are to win,' spoke the wizard as they looked down on the township

OOC: Ok medallion holders! you must come to Sorian Kingdom as for Kayin and ... you will already be there (only because you are both human) but you'll bein the crowd you must find away of meeting with the medallion holders or meeting with Lee and as soon as you are all there the adventure will begin!!. For the Medallion holders please keep in mind what I have pm'd you. Oh and by the way...the royal blue writting is Lee's dreams, as I said in the sign-up this is going to be hard but I think we can all pull this off

Along with the message he was asked to bring the Madallion of Earth along with him, the medallion his parents and brother passed down to him after their death a long time ago. Tellzar was walking the battlements of his father's stroghold and castle, Thallhorn, made of nothing but stone. The stone work on the castle was extraordinary, if you had never seen it before you would wonder at how white the stone had remained over the five-hundred years it had stood, and at how the stone looked as if it had been built by the gods.
Tellzar was just passing over the gates when a one of the guards standing watch hailed him. Tellzar stopped and looked down at the guard and said, "Yes?"
"The King wishes to see you, said something about a message from a wizard, but would tell me no more."
By the time the guard had finished speaking, Tellzar was already walking towards the stairs that led to the main roads of the city. When he reached the streets, he immediately set off in the direction of the castle gardens, for that was were his father always waited when he summoned him.
When he reached the gardens, his father said, "Tellzar, you have heard of the mage Alvadon, whom guards the Gates of Valahria, have you not?"
"Yes, father, i have. What of him?", replied Tellzar.
"Just this morning I recieved a message from him with his seal on it. He says that the Gates of Valahria have been overrun, that Thorian Wrath has risen once again.", the King said in a deathly tone.
All Tellzar could do was stare as he thought of what this could mean for the world.
His father nodded, and said, "I see you know what this means, and you are wise to fear. Thorian is after the Medallions, and Alvadon wishes all the bearers of the Medallions gather at the Sordian Kingdom, for what i know not, though i can promise you it has somethting do with keeping the medalions safe, and defeating Thorian."
Tellzar managed to close his mouth and quit gaping, and replied, "When do I leave?"
His father replied, "Now."
Tellzar nodded and said, "Then i better prepare. I'll be ready within the hour."
His father nodded, and as he started to turn away, Tellzar saw a tear run down his bearded cheak.
Right as Tellzar finished packing the small essentials that were needed for a hastey departer, his sister Trisha entered the room with tear filled eyes and said, "I'm going with you!", though her voice sounded commanding, Tellzar detected a small hint of pleading in her voice.
"No. It's too dangerous.", Tellzzar replied.
"That's why I have to go, so I can protect you." she said, the tears flowing freely down her cheeks now, for she knew she could never win this argument.
"If you were to go I would have to protect you, and that would likely get me killed, seeing what I'm abouut to be faceing."
Tellzar didn't even give ger time to reply, as he brushed pass her and kept walking, bag in his right hand slung over his shoulder, his waraxe strarpped to his back and his mace at his right side, head downcast, he departed the castle.
After about three days travel, he arrived at the Sorian Kingdom. The guards whom were watching the gates lowered their spears to bar his way and said, "Who are you and what is your business here?"
"I am Tellzar, Crown Prince of Thallhorn, Alvadon has summoned me hear.", Tellzar replied.
"What proof have you?", the guards asked him.
Tellzar pulled a leather band out from under his shirt and held it up. Hanging on the leather was a deep blue gem that seemed to glow inside, and Tellzar said,"Iis this proof enough?"
The guards smiled and said, "Yes, I think so. We'll have one of our guardsmen esscort you to the castle."

Aria was sitting in one of the highest boughs of her favourite tree. She was lounged in a fork and was casually playing her crystal flute, enjoying the cool winds that were blowing. Her eyes were closed as she played, and she could feel her hair blowing in the wind.

Aria stopped playing suddenly, her stormy bluish-grey eyes snapped open. She tucked a few strands of chestnut brown hair behind her ear and stood, slipping the glass instrument into her lower thigh pocket on the right. There was a message being carried on the wind, the messengers used that mode of communication to tell Aria things since people often couldn't find her. This one was telling her to return to the palace ASAP because her father, the King wanted to talk to her. Aria sent a reply message that she was coming and unfurled her large sparkly, pale blue wings. She beat them twice and flew out of the tree, flying quickly toward her home.

Aria landed at the balcony that led into the throne room. She closed her wings and straightened her clothes and hair from the tree, the wind, and the flying before opening the glass doors and entering. The servants that were currently there bowed/curtsyed to her as she approached the thrones where her parents were seated, the one on the left of her father was empty, it was her own.

"I got the message, Father. I hear that you wanted to talk to me?" Aria asked.

"Indeed Aria, a message for you arrived a while ago." he said, handing her the opened letter. She read it quickly, it was about the Thorian Wrath, it had risen again, overfloading the Gates of Valahria that the great mage Alvadon guarded, he was asking that the Medallion Holders gather at the Sorian Kingdom.

"The letter had the seal of Alvadon on it, in case you're thinking it's a fake." her father said, showing her the wax that had kept the document closed. She had been thinking that it was a fake.

"I suppose I'll be leaving now?" Aria asked, looking at her parents.

"Unfortunately so." her mother said.

"Then I'll leave. Goodbye Mother, Goodbye Father, I'll miss you both." she said, hugging her parents as they got off their thrones.

"We'll miss you too, be safe Aria." the king whispered.

Aria picked up her staff form of her twin blades from next to her throne and strapped it to her back. She took a last look at them and ran toward the balcony, then she jumped, flapping her wings and taking off into the skies.

'Goodbye...' she thought silently.

Several hours later...

Aria arrived at the kingdom of Sorian, she was planning on flying right up to the palace when she sensed a flying projectile slicing through the air, she moved to the side and it flew past her. She looked down and saw guards armed with bows aimign at her. She landed on the ground and they swarmed toward her.

"What's wrong?" she asked.

"You're trespassing. We want to know who you are and what your business here is." the head guard said.

"Princess Aria Kaze of the Fairy Kingdom. I'm here because Alvadon has summoned myself, along with the other Medallion holders." she explained.

"Proove it." he said, crossing his arms.

Aria reached into her tunic and produced a thin strip of leather that hung around her neck, on the end was a green crystal stone, set in gold trimming that was of peculiar design.

"Enough proof for you?" she asked.

He nodded. "Would you like an escourt?" he asked.

"I doubt that he could fly, so no thank you." with that she took off.

She landed on the balcony of the palace minutes later and opened the doors. She walked through and bowed to the king.

"I'm sorry for entering this way, it was a lot easier, though I did come into contact with some guards." she apologised.

"Not a problem. Welcome to Sorian." he said.

"Hello to you, Prince Lee and Prince James." she said, greeting the other two important men that were in the room, she knew much about them, her father and teachers had talked about all of the current medallion holders and those past.

Jessica made her way through the crowds. She listened intentively as she passed by. She could feel the fear around her...

"Thorian has risen... he rides for Valahria..." she heard among the people. Her heart froze... her thoughts turned to her father who laid ill. She would please her father? she would make him proud of her. She would make him proud of his little girl?

She smiled at the thought. Little girl? If anyone heard her use those words they?d kick her for sure. She may have been skilled, but for whatever reason, the facts still remained. She was a woman, and the only one with the skills of a warrior. It took her a while to attain the respect of the others around her. But she finally did. And she was highly respected. More because of her determination to stay in the face of laughter and ridicule when she first became a warrior. And after three years, she knew she belonged? and so did the others. She walked to the castle. She made her father proud then? and she wouldn?t let him down now. She would defend her people... she would join in this battle against Thorian.

The crowd that gathered around in looked confused with everything...they all demanded to know what was going on....why the medallion holders are here...

'Alvadon....there is medallion holder missing,' spoke Lee as he stood by the great wizard

'She will be here...the sorceress will be here,' spoke Alvadon

Lee turned to gaze at the others

'What are we going to do?' questioned Aria

'There's not much we can do until the bearer of the fire medallion arrives,' spoke Lee as he watched the crowd, whispers were passed around them as they grew restless

'My son, I must speak with you,' spoke the King Sorian

Lee looked at Alvadon and the others and then walked over to his father, they then walked to the other side of the courtyard

'What is?' questioned Lee

'I am getting old my son...soon it'll be time to hand over the thrown,' smiled King Sorian as he placed a firm hand on Lee's shoulder

'Father...you can't be serious,' spoke Lee in disbelief

'Oh but I am...,' smiled the King

'Not....now,' whispered Lee

'No, but the time will come...the time will come' spoke the King with a deep sigh

'Father what are you talking about?' questioned lee with a hint of demand

The King just smiled

'Father...I am not worthy enough to rule such a place...' whispered Lee

'That is only what you think my son...it isn't what lies in your soul,' smiled the King

Lee didn't respond, so many things rushed through his mind

'Something is bothering you?....I see it written on your face..tell me,'

Lee then pulled out his medallion and took it off, they both gazed at it

'I know not what it does...noone knows,' spoke Lee looking strangely confused

'You will,' spoke the King

'It's been dormant for one hundred years....what if it doesn't work anymore?'

'Don't under estimate it my son...it may be dormant..but it is very powerful,'

'But it's not like the other elements....I know I was taught never to under estimate it...I guess I just don't know enought about it,' spoke Lee

'Noone does...that medallion is a mystery...last time it was used was one hundred years ago...and that was it, all we here are tales of what it did...noone but the one who last used it knows what it can do...My guess is...you'll have to wait and see,'

Lee looked down at the medallion, 'Please aid me...please aid us all' he whispered as he kissed the stone

His father smiled and they walked back to the others and Alvadon with a crowd that grew bigger

Jessica walked as far as she could to the gate without causing a disturbance. She asked the people around her to move, but they were piled up against the entrance to the Castle. She looked on and sighed. She?d have to do things the hard way.

Jessica pushed past the men, women, and children, gaining many glares and curses her way. She shoved her way through until she made it through. She straightened herself up before walking to the guards. She looked back at the angry mob of people, and decided it was best if she avoided the crowd. She didn?t feel like being hunted down by angry towns people.

She went up to the guards and they held their weapons to her throat.

?No one except for Royalty is allowed past this point.? They said evenly looking at her.

She smiled wickedly. ?And what makes you automatically assume I am not royalty?? she said with a slight laugh.

?Well for one you?re not dressed the part?? the younger guard said. His senior glared at him, and the guard slipped back without another word.

?We are expecting only one other, and you do not fit the description.? He said eyeing her, and wondering what she was doing there in the first place.

Her eyes grew darker. ?I request a meeting with the King.? She said solemnly.

?Did you not hear me the first time?? he said louder. ?I said no one except for Royalty is allowed past-?

?Fine, then I no longer request, I demand a meeting with the King.?

?Do I have to throw you out of here myself, girl??

?I have come to offer what assistance I can, I won?t be turned away. If the home of my fathers is being threatened, I won?t stand by and wait on others to save us from peril. I will do my part.? She said folding her arms.

?I will not repeat myself, commoner.? He said snidely.

?Nor will I, guardsman.? She said, keeping ground.

?Then this will be brought to the King, where I will see to it that you are put in chains!!!? he said angrily as grabbed her and pushed her through the gates. She looked back at the crowds, and noticed some were laughing and smiling, as if pleased that she may be reprimanded and jailed. She smiled too. Anything was better than watching at the sidelines in such a time. She would do what she could for her family? for her father?s home. She would not just let it be ruined.

A green haired boy saw what had happened. He thought that she had not deserved to be apprehended. He forced his way through the crowd up toward the front. That girl must be here for the same reason as I. Why won't they let her help? He thought. He looked around. There must be a way to... "......Hm...." He had noticed that no one had replace the guards yet. Well if they're not going to stop me... He smirked as he jumped over the people in front of him and ran toward the castle and had caught up to the guards.

"Hey you get back here!" The senior yelled. He glared at the younger guard. "Watch her I'm goin after him..." The senior let go and pursued the boy with his sword drawn. "Halt!"

The boy stopped and looked back, "Unless you can kill me, I'm also going to help the king." he smirked.

Jessica looked up, "What the heck is he doing? I want to get taken in so I can see the king and he's screwin this up for me..." she said to herself.

The soldier had caught up to the offender and took a swing straight for his shoulder. The boy sidestepped and roundhoused the guard sending him back a bit. "It's gonna take more than that to stop..." He sensed that other soldiers were on the way. He sighed heavily, Kayin...what have you gotten yourself into this time? Kayin thought to himself. "Ah well..." he said and just stood there ready to be apprehended.

The senior guard had just recovered, "Fine...you want to see the king? You will...under the same conditions that this woman will!" he shouted as two guards grabbed Kayin.

I hope I can convince the king to let me help fight...No I have to...So that we can end this war and I can know that Kristen is safe... Kayin thought. He looked over to the girl who'd been apprehended. He looked away just as quickly, feeling as though he almost messed up her chances to fight. He looked back and mouthed, "I'm sorry." and they were taken into the castle.

The crowd that gatheres earlier was growing by the minute will all of the towns poeplel from Sorain gathering at the palace wondering why the medallion holders form the scattered Kingdoms were here. Some were wispering that a celebration was about to occure while others thought doom was upon them, castle guards had to be sent into the crowd to inform them of the matter. Aria and James just stood on the balcony looking down on the kingdom and how large it was, they were also wondering if Prince Lee and the King were coming back soon.

"This kingdom is so grand and beautiful, they really do keep it neat" Aria spoke to James to break the silence between them.

"Yes indeed. I wonder how they do it?" James replied.

"I think its because they have a great and wonderful king to rule over them and protect the people" Aria explained. Both loked upon the crowd again and noticed that there was a small circle of guard escorting two people to the palace, their weapons were out and it seemed like they were going to take them to the dungeons. Both Aria and James went back down to the steps that lead into the casle to see what was the matter.

"Please inform the King that two rift-rafts would like to have a conference with his majesty" The head guard stated.

"Honestly, he and Prince Lee went off somewhere, but we would be glad to "hold" them until he gets back good sir" James stated, the guard hesitated at the thought but needed to get back to to his post at the gates and agreed to the idea. The group then returned inside the palace and closed the doors behind them.

"May I ask.....what business do you two have with the king?" Aria spoak up.

Tellzar watched as the scene before him ufolded. The crowd had gotten so large that Tellzar almost missed the guardsmen escorting a man and women, leaving them with James and Aria. Tellar was interested in what the people wanted, but wasn't particularly fond of the idea of getting through the small crowd that had converged between him and the palace, so he decided to do what he's always done best, observe ,and analyze the situation, like he would do from afar in a battle.

Kayin spoke up first. As he talked to her, Jessica tried not to gawk at the scene around her. She noticed that she was the Fairy Princess, no doubt the medallion holder of Wind. She was graceful, and very beautiful, just as she had imagined when her father told her about the Kingdom of Fairies. She smiled a little, he had promised to take her there someday... hopefully when he was well, he can hold true to his promise.

"Is this true, .... I'm sorry, and your name is?" James spoke softly as Jessica turned her gaze. She composed her thoughts quickly.

"Jessica, if you will, and yes... I wish to fight for my father. For my family... and for my home. And I'm not taking no for an answer." she said. She recognized the Elven Prince. Her father spent many hours explaining to her the majestic presence of the elves. She smiled again... it was as if she was reading from a fantasy novel from her mother's shelf of books. And she hoped she would be a part of it.

"That may be the case, Jessica, but if every man woman or child who wished to fight for their home was brought in, we would have an entire community to account for." she said, smiling.

Jessica looked at Kayin who just stood there next to her. He looked as determined as she did to stay. "That may be the case, but I'm sure Kayin and I are the only ones who are willing to be jailed if not granted the request we have." she said.

Aria laughed, "True, well, let's bring you both inside, shall we?" she said. Jessica and Kayin followed them inside. She looked around the palace. It was even more beautiful inside, then outside. She wouldn't mind being jailed in a place like this. She laughed at the thoughts as she noticed Kayin looking at her oddly.

"What is it?" she said amusingly.

"You know we could still be put in prison, don't you?" he said looking at her.

"Well, I can't think of a more honerable reason to be jailed, can you?" she said with a smile.

Lee, King Sorian and Alvadon then entered the room of where the others stood talking with the man and women

'What is going on here?' questioned King Sorian looking a little confused by the two that stood with the medallion holders

At that moment the two strangers knelt down infront of the king

'We are here to asist you King Sorian..we want to fight in the battle,' spoke the man as they both looked up

'Please, stand up,' smiled the King, the tow looked at each other and slowly rose from the floor, 'Why do you wish to fight?...why would you put yourselves in harms way when it is not you they are after?'

'I want to fight for my family..for my father,' spoke the women

'And well...I fight for my sister...I want to rid this world of what ever darkness is ready to consume it..I don't want my sister to grow up in a place filled with war...I want her to live in this world the way it is now,' spoke the man

The King then turned to Lee who stood showing no reaction to their request

'My son...you will be king soon...what do you think?' questioned the King

Lee looked at his father with deep concern in his blue eyes then turned his attention back to the other two without any emotion shown

'What are your names?' Questioned Lee as he walked towards them

'I am Jessica,' spoke the women

'And I am Kayin' spoke the man

Lee studied them for a moment, silence filled the room

'For your bravery and willingness to fight with reason....then I see no reason why you cannot fight...,' spoke Lee coldly as he put out his hand towards Kayin, Kayin looked at his hand and then shook it, 'Thank you for aiding us,'

Lee then turned to Jessica and put out his hand and Jessica took it, 'Thank you for aiding us,'

'So does this mean we are in?' questioned Kayin

Lee gave them a slight nod

And Kayin and Jessica bowed to Lee and the King

'Thank you,' they both spoke in sync

'It is us who thank you,' spoke Lee but in a more softer tone

At that moment one of the guards bursted through the doors

'Great King! Please excuse me for my intrusion but..the crowd has grown more violent..they want to know what is going on!,'

They rushed out to find the crowd pushing and shoving the gurads who wouldn't allow them to pass,

'My people!..please bestill your impaitent minds,' called the King as the crowd settled

'Great King what is going on..we stand here in the dark because you say nothing...please King speak,' called one of the townsfolk

The King looked at Alvadon who gave him a slight nod

'You all have heard the legend of Thorian Wrath,' spoke out the King

The crowd whispered and nodded

'He has risen, his men have taken over the Gates of Valahria and are now searching for the medallion holders...Thorain Wrath will not stop until he has found them all and he will bring down anyone....all of Valahria is in grave danger!,' spoke the King with a hint of saddness

The towns people gasped at what was said

'Great King does this mean the Sorian will go to battle?' questioned a man from the crowd

'Yes it does..if needed which it will,' spoke the King

'Then we shall asist you...for all that you have done...we will stand beside you!!!!,' the crowd roared, 'We will stand against the bastards who threaten our lands!..who threaten our King....who threaten our Prince!!...We will fight for Valahria and its many Kingdoms!!!!!!!!!!!'

Tears rolled down the Kings face as he looked on at the people of Sorian who raised their arms and roared for their Kingdom Sorian.

'Father...we must start planning now if we are to win against Thorian,' spoke Lee

'But the fire medallion isn't here yet,' spoke the King

'I know...hopefully it will be,' spoke Lee as they all looked down at the crowd that roared.

As he spoke with the people, Jessica couldn?t help but look around the room. She was sure no one would mind if she familiarized herself with it all. She got a nasty look from the guard, as he realized her request was granted. She smiled. What did he expect? The King was a reasonable man, who cared for the people. And it was no surprise that his son was of the same manner. She smiled broadly for the guard who turned around shook his head in disapproval. She was used to it.

She walked over to the end of the room where the balcony was. She could see all of the townspeople as they looked worried. She knew this coming battle could cost her her life? but she would deal with it when the time would come. She hated death? the thought of people being taken from their loved ones disgusted her? it was the enemy she would fight? and she would make sure that she prevented that from ever happening?.

Her father had taught her that the only motivation for fighting for a warrior should be to fight to protect the ones you love and the land of your people. Never for ones own self gratification, or for revenge? only for the sanctity of others. And she would keep his words close to her heart. As she was taught to do, all of her life.

OOC: Sorry Heero, I was on hols and couldn't get on. I'm back now.

A cool breeze whipped across Ziarre's face as she skipped over slippery rocks that sat unmoved in a lucious stream. Her elabourately decorated grey cloak fluttered in the cool breeze. The cool water lapped at the ston'es edges.

Water... Ziarre thought and shivered.

She made her way merrily over to the other side of the stream. This was her favourite place in the whole world. Somewhere quiet and peaceful. No noise of the city or the palace. Just nature. Somewhere untamed, just like her. This was the only place she felt at peace.

A cawing sound caught her attention. A raven flew down to her and landed on her shoulder.
" What are you doing here Dark?" Ziarre asked her pet. It moved its head near its leg nearest to her head. On it was a letter with the seal of the wizard Alvadon.
" A letter from Alvadon? I haven't heard from him for ages. What does her want now?" Ziarre said to herself, her tone turning fiery, like her element. She opened the letter and read it. Within a minute, she threw it on the ground and set it alight.

" So, he wants me to come to his aid now does he? What a fool......... After what he did to me! I should think not."

She stormed off into the woods, Dark hanging onto her shoulder for dear life.
________________________________________________________________

The smell of smoke made its way up Ziarre's nostrils. She coughed and spluttered, hating the overwhelming smell of burning sulphur. Eventually, the princess came to the palace gates of Tyriam the sorcer realm. She entered without a word to the guards. They could see she was fuming and dared not to interfere with the second most powerful sorcerer in the land.
" Idiot...." Ziarre kept muttering to herself as she made her way to the throne room.

Dark's caw brought her to reality. Her father, Arcine, stood magnificently in front of her.
" So, you do not heed Alvadon's call?" he asked his favourite child. Ziarre looked at him with fire in her eyes.
" After what he did to me, never. He abandoned me in the middle of my training! Why the hell should I?!?" Ziarre replied fiestily.
" You are my child," Arcine replied suddenly, laughing out aloud. Ziarre was shocked but soon returned to her fuming state.
" Temper temper my dear child," Arcine explained, " You are burdened by the medallion around your neck. You have to go and I order you too."
Ziarre went to open her mouth but Arcine held up a hand.
" Tyriam needs you Ziarre. Darkness is coming."
" Oh alright. As long as you give me Shadow!" Ziarre stated firmly, becoming her childish side. She stood there with her arms crossed as if waiting for the answer.
" You may have Shadow. He is in the stalls. Now go Ziarre, you are already late."
___________________________________________________________________

Air rushed through Ziarre's long black hair. She and Shadow soared through the air. Dark the Raven was perched on the saddle in front of Ziarre. Shadow was a pure white griffin. It was Arcine's favoured war-beast. The Sorian Kingdom came into view.
" Finally. I hope Alvadon realises what I'm doing for him. Bastard!"

They landed outside of the city walls. Ziarre hopped off and led the griffin through the city. Many heads turned their way. Ziarre, as usual, ignored them. Her ruby red eyes looked around as she gripped her golden ring staff. Soon, they arrived at the palace gates. Some of the guards seemed confused by Ziarre's demeanour. She was happy again and had forgotten about Alvadon for the time being. She was her childish self again.

" Excuse me miss but only Medallion Holders are permitted to enter the Palace," one guard bravely said. Ziarre looked at him.
" And you think I'm not a Medallion Holder? Why?" Ziarre asked, playing innocent.
" For one, you are no warrior. Two, you are too childish. And three, you look more like a fortune-teller than a sorceress."
Ziarre's eyes narrowed dangerous. Fire suddenly appeared on the guard's clothes. He danced around, trying to put it out. Ziarre smiled and walked through the now open gates. She sat down on the stairs and waited for someone to come and get her.

Lee stood watching the crowd silencing themselves by the comotion coming from the gates of Sorian.

'I won't be long,' spoke Lee as he called to the black steed Veradon, he mounted the beast and they took off down to the gates to find a lady waiting, around her neck was the fire medallion

'So finally you have arrived,' spoke Lee as he slid off Veradon

'Not by choice,' she growled fuming by something that upset her

'Follow me,' growled Lee and she followed them up to the palace.

As they came before the doors of the castle Alvadon stepped out

'Ziarre,' spoke Alvadon

At that moment the area became hot

Lee slid down from his steed with a deep frown upon his face

'I'd cool that temper now if I were you...Fire holder,' spoke Lee coldly

Fire burned in her eyes

'You are here to fight for Valahria and your home....not for your own personal problems...there is something more important than your own grudges,' spoke Lee as he walked passed her

Alvadon looked at Ziarre and slowly shook his head which hung low as they all entered the palace

King Sorian sat waiting for them in the throne room

'Now that you are all here...we must discuss this matter,' spoke the King from the throne, 'and it is good to see you with us princess of sorcerers,'

'So Father, what shall we do?' questioned Lee

At that moment before King Sorian could speak a guard once again bursted through the doors in dismay

'King Sorian please excuse my intrusion, a village east of here is under attack by Thorians's army they send for aid!!...there is said to be a thousand unspeakable creatures,' spoke the guard as he tried to catch his breath

'What!,' spoke the King his voice echoed throughout the hall, 'Get ready the army!...we go to battle!!,'

At that moment they all rushed from the palace, the men of Sorian gathered to give aid, women set up posts within Sorian township and gave out medical supplies, food supplies and anything else that they needed, everyone was given a horse

They all waited as the King rode out on a white horse beside him was Alvadon

'Father your not serious,' spoke Lee

'My son I am...I will not stay behind while my people fight for cause..I will fight with you,' smiled the King

Lee looked at his father who sat boldly in the saddle and held his sword high

'My people!!....and those who aid Sorian!....Let us show Thorian that we will not fear his wars!!..Let us show him the courage of our hearts....Reunited!!.....We'll fight for the freedom of Valahria!!!!!!!,' roared the King as he took off out the gates and five hundred followed with battle crys and thunderous roars from the horses hoofs hitting the ground.
_________________________________________________

They arrived at dusk as the battle was beginning to end with the village being burned, people began to flee and scream as they all looked down, the creatures that covered the land began roaring in victory...then it was silent....as they realised an army stood upon a hill

'There are so many of them,' spoke James, 'And yet we are only a few,'

'Yes...but we are medallion holders,' spoke Aria as she spreed her wings, 'and we will bring them down

At that moment Lee then drew his sword

'Son wait!,' cried the King as Lee took off towards the sea of creatures

'For Valahria!!!,' roared Lee as he raised his sword high and the Sorian army followed him

They rushed down the hill at a tremendous speed

Lee was the first to clash with the beasts, his sword drew first blood

As the Prince rode down the hill toward the enemy, Jessica glanced at her king. She noticed the fear and age in his face, and her heart softened. He reminded her of her father. She watched as the other medallion holders followed and rode down to meet them head on. She waited, she wasn?t sure what she was waiting upon. She was brought to her senses when they King?s loud voice bellowed through the mountain pass.

He charged down, and a feeling of dread washed over her. Her hometown? her home? she had only hoped her parents had gotten away in time? she would look for them, but she needed to get through the creatures first? She followed her king and branched off toward another section of creatures. Her flaming sword tore through the creatures as she charged through them. Her horse, Flame, rode her way towards Jessica as she was always taught to. Jessica smiled; Flame could never stay where she would put her. She grabbed her horse?s reigns and pulled herself up onto its auburn back. Her thoughts went to her father instantly when she fought the creatures? as blood stained her clothing, and the screams and cries were heard throughout the plain.

She noticed a group of townspeople at the corner of her eye. They were being surrounded. She returned her sword and rode as fast as she could, pulling out her twin blades. She took out the line of creatures as they had circled around them, trampling many as she tore through the mess of bodies around her. She noticed one aiming an arrow at her horse. She turned quickly and sliced the arrow as it came straight for her. At this time, the townspeople had gained the upper hand once again and attacked the creature with their spears. Seeing they had a handle over the situation, Jessica left it in their hands. She looked around and noticed a number of towering bodies of creatures. To her horror, she realized that they had attacked a small group of people.

?Run Flame, make haste?? she whispered into the horse?s ear with urgency. Flame ran as fast as she could. Jessica past a dead body and her stomach turned? it was one of the townspeople from earlier? her heart sank when she realized how many people would die today alone. She pulled out her sword and the red hilt glistened as it sliced through the creatures hide. She heard wails as they pulled off of one another. She went through slicing them one by one until she made it down to the bottom of the pile. What she saw had frightened her. She jumped off her horse as Flame gave her cover. She knelt down to the small boy who was no longer moving. Her heart sank. She remembered the once vibrant boy who would play in the marketplace of her village... She picked up the boy and cradled him in her arms. No doubt he had fought side by side with his father? no doubt he watched his father fall in front of his own two eyes. She looked around, and came back to reality as she realized where she was. She gently laid the boy back down and closed his eyes. She jumped back on her horse, with a sense of sadness? her heart stammered in her chest? she only hoped that she would not find her father?s body in the mess of blood and broken flesh when she was through? She fought for him? for her mother. Her sword shone brilliantly with the bright reds of the dawn. She ran toward the creatures? there was nothing that would stop her from saving her family?

Aria had spotted the beasts down below and jumped off the ground, spreading her wings and beating them several times to gain some air, flying toward the battle. She twirled her staff as she watched over the others below, she saw a large clump of them around a small girl and closed her wings, tilting herself downward. Aria plummeted through the sky toward them, in the last few metres, she quickly opened her wings to break the fall and landed on the ground. She closed up her wings and slid the two blades apart.

"Get away from her!" she called. Then she regretted it when they all turned around to look at her.

Aria ran forward and thrust one of her blades into the heart of one of the beasts. It roared in anger and pain as it fell backwards. Aria pulled the blade out and looked at the rest of them. They roared in vengence, and she knew they were out for revenge for their friend. Aria stood still, knowing that beasts never attacked their foes straight away. They surrounded her, and she immediately did a dangerous swords dance, slicing at them viciously. Some of them dropped in death, but others made it out with just slashes and cuts. After the dance, the group of 7 had dropped to 4. Aria flew into the sky and dive bombed the remaining beasts, slashing or stabbing at their vital points. Finally they had all dropped to the ground and Aria quickly landed and rushed over to the girl.

"Are you alright?" Aria asked.

"U-U-Uh huh." she answered, then she got up and ran to the group of people that Jessica had rescued. She saw the girl get hugged by a man and woman, then she knew that the girl had been seperated from her family by the beasts. She smiled knowing that the girl was safely back with her family, wishing she was home with her parents too.

Ziarre watched the prince head straight into battle.
" He's too immature to realise what he is doing," the great white griffin huffed.
" I agree Shadow. But, what the prince does, we have to do," Ziarre sighed, her thoughts reverting back to the lecture he had given her back at the palace. She growled.

Then the king flung himself into battle. Ziarre watched as the others joined in. Shadow ruffed his wings angrily.
" I have lived through many wars but this is the most ridiculous assult I have ever seen."
" Well Shadow, what do you expect?" Ziarre questioned him, now retrieving her bow and arrows from her back.
" Nothing more and nothing less..." the griffin replied.
" Lets go. If they see us dawdling here, I'll get another lecture from Mr High-and-Mighty over there............although, he is pretty cute when he gets mad."
" ZIARRE! This is not the time to be thinking about that."
" Alright alright. Go."

With a huge sweep of his feathered wings, Shadow took off into the sky. Ziarre notched magical arrows onto her golden bow and released them with lightning speed. When these arrows hit their target, they set alight and reform as another arrow in Ziarre's quiver.

Ziarre watched the warrior Jessica save a group of people, as did Aria. Ziarre felt pride for her homeland and wanted to protect it, but something just didn't want to let her get her guard down. She didn't know these people from a bar of soap. All of them seemed strange to her. It was worrisome.

Shadow flew around in the air, allowing Ziarre the best advantage points to mark from. Every single target she aimed for, she hit with lethal force. It was a pleasing performance.

However, she kept an eye out for Lee, seeing that he was in no danger that he couldn't handle. The other eye she kept on the king. He was too old for battle but still had a willing spirit. The body just couldn't keep up.

The battle continued, althought the amount of the enemy was seriously depleting.

Kayin had made it to the swarm of beasts by foot. He drew his infamous Kage ready to cast these creatures back into the shadows. He unleashed a barrage of shuriken into a group of the enemies. They were stunned for a second so he took them all out as fast as possible. He felt a slash along his back and turned to see the beast that attacked him. He drove his sword through the creature and slashed it out through its side.

Kayin glanced over to the king to be sure he was holding his own. He had seemed to be doing so so Kayin resumed his fighting with the beasts. He turned for a second to see a brother and sister cornered by a few of the creatures. "Leave those two be!!" Kayin yelled. He jumped into the air and landed several kunai in each fo the creatures backs, stunning them. Kayin landed in front of the children and picked them both up and left them in a safe area. He looked to the brother and smiled, "Be sure to keep your sister safe...as her brother it is your duty..." The boy returned a serious look and nodded. Kayin turned around and headed back for the battlefield. He smiled briefly at the thought of his own sister then went to finsh the monsters off whom he had started on.

He fended off quite a few of the creatures from the townspeople, but could not save them all. He fought on, in hopes of stopping the beasts to the best of his ability. He turned to see his allies all fighting valiantly as well which raised his belief of victory to his surface. He began to fight even harder now, pushing himself to the limit even with the enemies' number depleting.

Tellzar watched as Lee charged into the midst of their enemy and wondered if that was really such a good idea.I don't have much of a choice though, now do I?
Telazar charged, not far behind the prince. When he met the enemy, everything seemed to change from worry, to a single minded purpose, to wipe out his enemy. He drew his waraxe and started slashing through the enemy. He eventually ended up in the middle of the enemy forces, with a few other villagers that had been surrounded. Tellzar didn't even have to speak, for the enemy turned and surrounded him, deaming him the closest threat. There wasn't much he could do besides watch as the enemy surrounded him. As they got closer he put his waraxe in his left hand and drew his mace in his right. There were a total of 14 enemies surrounding him. They charged. Tellzar had seen men fight off this many enemies and kill them all, however, none of those men had lived to tell the tale. So as the enemy came at him, he turned circles in a battle stance that was meant to be used when surrounded by enemies. The first of his assailents to reach him fell to the ground, his head rolling away as if it were scared to be there any longer. The rest, he engaged. He kept spinning circles, warding off blades seaking his blood, many of actually tasted the blood they sought, but never more thana a glanceing blow. Tellzar brought his mace down in an arc, not caring what he hit for fear of his life, and smashed one his enemies skull in. He parried a slash and cutoff the hand that had thrust the sword at him. He saw a blade seaking his heart, twirled, and took the enmies head off. all around him more of his enemies fell dead, when he started wondering how long he could keep this up, he realized that his enemies were all dead, their bodies lying in a cirlce all around him. When he looked back at the villagers that he had saved, they all looked on him with a strong respect in their eyes.
"Go.", Tellzar said.
And without a word, they ran. Tellzar tried to move when he realized that he was a still target, but he collasped and could not rise. Seeing this opportunity, his enemy advanced. If i die here what would father think of me? I can't die here, but there's nothing i can do....

Jessica saw a group of villagers running. She rode toward them to see what they were fleeing from. A woman in her late thirties stopped her.

"Quickly, an injured dwarf is in the clearing... can you help him?"

Jessica knew who she was talking about... but she wanted to look for her parents. She looked at the woman and smiled warmly. She couldn't let him die... not when he held a high respnsiblity to the people of Valahria...

"Yes, I'll see what I can do..." she rode quickly to see him knelt on the ground with his mace clutched in his hand... and a creature advancing toward him.

Without a moments hesitation, she threw her blade and it inlodged itself into the creatures neck. With a high scream, it fell to the ground gasping for air. Jessica dismounted herself from Flame and pulled the blade out, leaving it on the ground. She looked at the dwarf and smiled. "Need a little help?"

"That would be appreciated." he said slightly. She knew he was wounded badly. She pulled out some medicine her mother had made her and applied it to his wounds.

"This will stop it from infecting your system..." she said. She watched warily for any attackers that would try to take advantage of the moment. She saw a villager watching and she knew she could use his help.

"Sir, please help me, I need to get him on my horse." she said motioning him to come forward.

The man looked at her, but eyed the dwarf. He smiled at the dwarf. "My family thanks you kind dwarf for what you have done.. you saved my wife and children..."

"He's wounded badly... we do need to get him out off the ground." she said smiling. The villager nodded, and helped her lift him to her horse. She strapped him on Flame and gave him the reigns. "Flame," she said quietly, "Be gentle, you need to bring him to safty. Make sure he does not fall." She looked at him and gave him his mace.

"Thank you..." he said, but she shooed them off. She trusted Flame... she knew she would do her part.

She glanced behind her and ducked when a sword barely missed her. She looked up and saw the creature right over her. Without Flame, she had the disadvantage of height.... she ducked again and stuck her blades into it's legs, making him yelp in agony. She then thrusted her sword into his flesh and pulled it out. The creature fell revealing another creature. She pulled the blades out and returned them to their sheaths. She ran toward the creature and stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the body underneath him... was her father...

OOC: Sorry for not posting so promptly, my internet at home is not working and they just banned otakuboards from my schools computers today :flaming:, I'll try and catch up.

IC:
The brave warriors went into battle fighting off the many beast in the bloody feild, villagers were escaping fine with teh aid of the madallion holders and their helpers. The king still stood upon the hill and watched the battle on the ground, he commanded his troops from there and was doing a great job at doing so..he knew he had to battle as well and not let his family anfd friends do all the fighting. Lee continued to fight in the center of the pit of creatures, they seem to come out of no where witht he army they have, but the Sorain Kingdom had a lot of men as well. Jessica and Tellzar were fighting back to back now after she helpped him kill another monster. Ziarre and her griffin contnued to attack without hesitation but did manage to save a lot more villegers, along with Aria too as she battled from the sky and ground. Kayin was doing marvelous on his own so far fending off creatures one after another, James dismounted off of his hourse and started to snipe his enemies with a barrage of arrows. A loud shreek came from the side of James, a young woman was being held by one of the creatures and it looked like he was crushing the air out of her. James drew his arrow back as far as he could and released it into the air, it hit its mark between the creatures eyes and coming out from the back of its head.

"Head up the hill towards the King of Sorain, he'll protect you from there fair maiden" James said as he pointed to the top of the hill, she nooded and ran up as fast as she could. James turned around back to fight until he was grabbed by the neck of one of the creatures he thought he killed earlier, it had such a grip on him and continued to make it tighter so James could not breath. James shot two arrows into his torso but he contnued to stand where he was. Before James knew it the creature fell to his knees and stopped breathing, he also let go of the Madallion holder, James took a couple of breaths before he saw Kayin taking his sword out the back of the creatures.

"Are you alright Prince James?" Kayin asked as he stepped over the beast.

"Quite alright thanks to you Kayin" James replied. "We must head back into battle and aid the othes now"

"Stick together then" Kayin said, they both then headed deeper into the fight fighting back to back, they could see everyone and would jump in to help them if they needed. There were only a few more villegers that needed to be saved, not all of them were able to make it out alive. Time was running out for them if they didn't defeat all the creatures soon.

Jessica slashed the monster through the neck and pushed the dead body away. She looked at the broken man on the ground? it was her father? she screamed and frightened those around her, and drawing attention to herself for her attackers. She ran to her father and knelt by his side. His eyes were open, but there was no life in him. She shook him as if he was sleeping, but he did not stir. She knew her attackers were advancing. She looked around and saw her mother not too far. She stood up and killed her enemies in a burst of fury as she made her way to her mother. She was dead as well? in her hand, she clutched her necklace? with a single gem in the middle of it. She cried as she lifted her mothers hand to her face and kissed it softly. She took the necklace and put it around her neck. She glowered at the dead creatures around her? she walked back to her father shakily. She shut his eyes as the tears streamed down her face.

Another creature made its way toward her and she jumped up and stabbed it in the heart. She pulled her blade out and kicked the body away from her as she walked away. Her father was dead? her mother was gone? she looked behind her and noticed the others. She would not leave them? she would fight for her parents? even if they were gone? she would fight for their home that they loved? she would fight for them? in honor of what they taught her.

She made her way toward the others, sword drawn and ready. She would stand by her King and her people? she made her way, her eyes distant, her heart broken? her stamina weak. But her will to do what she came here for? was still burning strong inside her. She walked to the clearing where Lee fought? she looked to the side where she saw the other medallion holders? she would fight? for the ones she lost? She raised her sword and killed all the enemies, with a blaze of fury. Her mind was aware of everything around her... she made her way to where Lee fought and noticed Ziarre not too far away. She raised her sword... this was where she belonged. There would be a time for her to mourn her loss... but she needed to stay focused... she would use the pain inside of her to fuel her need to move on...

Lee fought hard, although he grew tired he wasn't about to give up, battle raged around him, he could hear Veradon running down the creatures of Thorian...

King Sorian then joined Lee's side, Lee looked around in the mist of all the fighting, he could see Ziarre not far from him fighting with pleasure in her eyes, he saw Tellar fighting his hardest and his best..such strength for one who was wounded badly, James was also not far from him also fighting with determination, Aria also never held back as well as Jessica and Kayin very bold as he swung his sword and cut down a creature...Everyone was growing tired...while the hordes kept coming.......

Lee swung his sword and slashed through a creature's mid-section cutting it in half, blood splattered all over him but he quickly moved on to the next without hesitation as he swung his sord again...but it was stopped by a creature who held a shield and a sword, their swords clashed a couple of times...while their swords were locked together and with his free hand Lee smashed the creature in the frace with a fist, he felt bones crack against his knackles and he repeated that twice before the creature dropped it's sword and howled in pain, blood running down its deformed face, Lee then spun around with his sword and cut the creatures head off without any mercy, its head left its shoulders with force behind it and landed infront of a horde that ran towards him...they stopped dead in their tracks. lee ran towards them with his sword raised high

At that moment something caught his attention out the corner of his eye, he turned to see a purple arrow glisten....it was aimed at his father who fought only meters away from him...noone had seen it....

'FATHER!!!!!,' roared Lee his voice traveled arcoss to his fathers ears who turned...Lee tried to get to him, tried to storm his way through the battle..Lee's heart raced

The arrow was released...Lee then drew his bow..quickly kissed the tip..loaded...and fired...the arrow whistled through the air....the pruple arrow struck his father....while the arrow of Sorian struck down the creature who fired it....Lee looked at his father who stood stearing at him...the purple arrow enlodged in his side.....it was a moment where everything seemed to be gone as they steared upon each other...there was no sound....only silence..he watched his father smile..grip the arrow and tear it from his side..the King broke it in half and raised it above his head

'FOR VALAHRIA!!!!,' roared the King, His voice powered over the battle and the Sorian army roared as they found strength in the Kings voice

Lee then quickly put away his bow and drew his sword...in anger he swung the sword as his mind returned to now..the battle...he struck down those who ran at him and anything that stood close by which wasn't or their army

The Creatures were depleting fast...as they fought back with everything they had...Alvadon appeared on the horizon and joined the fight with another army of Sorian fighters....it was the women....they couldn't sit back and watch the men go out and fight...they had to join....

This caused all creatures to flee from the area...as the women brutily slaughtered anything that stood between them and their husbands...their sons...their families...This battle was over....but it was only the beginning........

Lee was down on one knee leaning against his sword surrounded by blood shed and torn bodies..human and creature..Lee looked around at the others who were just finishing off what was left..and he saw his father redrawing his sword from the back of a creature...The kings face was pale...his eyes were dim and dark...his wound left a huge trail of blood running from his side which stained his clothes more than what the creatures did

'Father....are you alright?' whispered Lee as he walked towards him, The King turned with a smile

'My son..I am fine..we shall all return to the Kingdom,' spoke the King as he turned to the army

Lee looked down at the ground and saw the arrow which struck his father....a normal arrow but bathed in pioson....which gave it the purple tinge...Lee looked at his father who spoke to the army which stood before him....knowing what was to come...Lee looked at Alvadon and slowly advanced towards the wizard

'Alvadon...the arrow,' whispered Lee with a frown

'I know Prince Lee....but....,' spoke Alvadon

Lee put his head down, 'I know....' he whispered as he mounted Veradon and followed behind the King as they left for the palace with the army following slowly

Jessica walked next to Tellzar who was still riding her horse, Flame. She walked in silence. Her heart was heavy, and she tried not to think about what she saw? what she found. She wished she had never found them. Then she could believe that they were still alive.

?Is something bothering you?? Tellzar asked looking down at her. She looked up and smiled sadly.

?Is it that obvious?? she said with a tinge of embarrassment in her voice.

?Well, I?m sure everyone here is weary from battle? but yours seems a bit more than fatigue.? He said cocking an eyebrow at her.

She looked on. She didn?t know him well, but she didn?t feel like keeping her feelings to herself. ?My parents died in that battle? they?re gone.? She said.

He stared down at her, and she could see a hint of sadness in his eyes. ?I?m truly sorry for your loss?? he said.

She smiled. ?Thank you for your kind words? it is greatly appreciated.? She said solemnly. She looked at the King in front of her and noticed his wounds wouldn?t stop bleeding. She shook her head. She looked at Lee and knew he was aware of his father?s condition. She looked down again. ?Everyone has suffered a loss in their own way today.? She said. ?No victory is met without loss. People died today? homes were destroyed? a people grow in fear behind their strong King??

She patted Flame on the scruff of her neck and gently caressed her face. Her coat shined brilliantly in the sunlight. She looked at her father?s sword. She carried his legacy in her? he was always proud to call her his daughter? and she was always proud to be his daughter. She would miss him? Her mother?s voice, her song? she used to think her mother was an angel of mercy sent down to guide her. Her mother was her stronghold? and now she too was gone. Tears came to her eyes. She wiped them away quickly? there would be a time to mourn? she needed to stop thinking about her own losses. Everyone was in pain? what made her loss any more disheartening? She couldn?t think about her pain? it would do her no good. No good, when there was a coming battle to face. She looked up at The King and noticed him holding his side. She lowered her head? the people would lose their King? and hopefully his son would take his place, and rule with the same kindness and love, his father had shown the people? hopefully he would become that motivation for the people to stand tall in the face of their adversaries?
