I meant to get this thread out yesturday, but my adult ADD kicked in and...oh look a chicken. Anyways, I was wondering what everyone was thankful for and why. Please explain why, it's very important to your post.

As for me I'm very thankful for my daughter on top of everything. Mostly because she's helping me to realize that I'm not the only person in the world. It's a big reminder at 1 in the morning when I really want to sleep and Abby really wants a bottle and a clean diaper.

After my daughter I'm thankful that Lincoln is still safe even though he's in Iraq. He'll be home soon then we can attempt to have a relationship with no military involvement We haven't done that yet.

I'm thankful for my family and friends because without them I wouldn't be able to survive everything I've been through in the past 23 years.

So I don't sound uber sanctimonious I'm thankful for my sanity because it means that I'm nowhere near turning into my mother-in-law. Because that woman lost her sanity a very long time ago, it just took a vacation and never came back.

I'm also thankful for Sephora, Stateline Tack and wherever I find clothes. I haven't found good reasons for those yet however I will soon.

So, what about everyone else?

Im thankful for my health, which im sure we all talk for granted everyday. We jump over tall walls at the own risk of breaking are legs; we eat things that we are well aware of the health risks and don?t give to thoughts about it. There are people who would kill for good legs, or able to live without having a load of wires and machines strapped onto them.

We always take things like this for granted, because we should be very thankful for our health, because I could wake up tomorrow lying in a hospital bed.

Borrowing a line from Oh My Goddess!, I'm thankful for how many times I get to say "thank you" from the bottom of my heart every day. It comes down to one thing, really. This one thing that, of all things, Harrison Ford (and I agree) said he would like to be judged by--the company you keep.

Well I am thankful for my new outlook on life because after what happened.

Three days ago, my girlfriend and her family were on their way to Tennessee for Thanksgiving. In Dalton, GA, a Ford F150 with a drunk driver hit them head on going 70 mph. There was 6 people pilled into my girlfriend's mom's little Impala. Thank God none of them died. The paramedics said they propbably would have and it's a miracle they didnt.

Before this happened, I'd had a really tough turn of events and whatnot and I really did not want to live anymore. But after the accident, I have learned to live life for every second and not take anything for granted. My girlfriend and her family are alive...a little banged up...but alive none the less and I couldn't be more thankful for that.

I'm thankful be surrounded by amazing friends and understanding parents. Just the to know that I have people there for me who I can turn to and tell everything to. My parents and two teachers discovered on their own what I've been doing to my wrists lately, and they didn't yell or screamat me, but they reassured me and told me that the present's all that matters and to do everything for myself first. Everyone I love gives me great advice, and I don't know what I'd do without them. :)

I am thankful for:

...my really sick/old dog is still alive and kicking.

...I got to spend the majority of the day today with my good friend that graduated from high school last year. I haven't seen him since August, and I missed him. It was great to see him and hang out with him again.

...I got to spend Thanksgiving dinner with my brother and his wife. He and I are really close, he only got married just four monthes ealier, and I haven't seen him since early July.

...No school on Thursday and Friday. If I had a full week of school this week, I would of collasped from exhaustion.

...All of my friends, offline, and online.

...All of my family.

I'm thankful for my mom. Without her I wouldn't be able to lead the life I have right now.

And I'm thankful for my boyfriend, for giving me what I really needed..a break from my life at the time.

And I'm thankful for my family for letting me back in to the fold.

In light of recent events that have changed my life considerably, I've found new things that I'm thankful for, things that I guess I never really appreciated before.

I'm thankful for my mother, even though a lot of the time I think she's being strict or over protective, I've realised that everything she ever does and has ever done is all for me and for my benefit. She wants me to live properly and to not make the same mistakes that she made.

I'm thankful for the love I have for John, even though our relationship may be a real test for both of us, my feelings are too strong to let it fall apart. I love you with all my heart and soul and I want to make more of what we already have.

I'm thankful for my friends, both online and in school, because you are the one's who keep my spirits high when I'm feeling down and you're always there to listen to me, I love you all, thank you for being right here for me.

Lastly, I'm thankful for music and art, those two things are the ways I can express my emotions and even if I'm alone, I can always count on my pencil to cure me of boredom.

What am I thankful for? Well I'm thankful to be here after all the stuff thats happened. I've had many a cut on my arms and wrists, all for what? Life should be lived and not took for granted, whatever happens. Even though it is extremly frustrating when I get my arms checked now.

I am also thankful for my friends, without any of them I wouldn't be here today. Literally. Online and Offline, they are the best things that could ever happen to me, and I wouldn't give them up for the world. Corny, yes. True, of course.

I am thankful for Music and Art. Oh and Adobe Photoshop CS. XD. Without any of these I would be corrupt, Art is Music in picture form, and Music is Art in sound. Oh and Computer Graphics, where would I be without that.

And finally, I am thankful to have photography. I've found a calling in my life, and this is it. I may not be the best photographer, hell be it, I'm probably the worst. But that doesn't matter, it means something to me, and thats all that matters.

I'd have to say that I'm thankful for a lot. I'm thankful for the roof over my head, the food in my fridge, and the music that keeps me going.

I'm thankful for my wonderful friends who stick with me through thick and thin, and aren't afraid to bash my head in when I'm being stupid.

I'm thankful for my boyfriend, who puts up with my 24/7 crabbyness, I don't know how he does it. ><

I'm thankful, lastly, for my family, because they've given me mostly everything I wanted, even if they are a little.. different from other families.

HAPPY POST THANKSGIVING!

Gods, there's so much I'm thankful for nowadays, there's just too much to put into words. Only recently have my spirits been lifted to the point that I thank the deities above for every single breath I take, every single day.

I'm thankful, so very thankful, for the chance I've been given to love Jamie. Every night, i cry myself to sleep, knowing I have done nothing worthy of her, yet she still loves me, and I know I'll never stop loving her. I love you so much, Imi.

I'm thankful for my friends. They've never failed to rise magnificently to the occasion whenever I've needed them. Mickey, Ron, Corey, you three mean more to me than you'll ever know. Thank you.

I'm thankful for the family I've found in Mickey's family. While my own family has cast me out, tossing me to the side in all their figures, my best friend's family, the McConnell's, treat me as one of their own, and even better, have offered me a place to live, and all of them have offered me help whenever I need it, be it in school or studying for the two exams I plan on taking when I turn eighteen. Thank you, everyone, for all you've done to me. You are my family, in every way I can think of.

I'm thankful for the family and friends I've found on OtakuBoards. Through all of my faults, my quirks, you've accepted me and made me feel as though I'm really a friend to you. Thank you, my friends.

I'm thankful for Woodshop, giving me the chance to place my feelings, my very heart, into a physical form through wood and lumber.

I'm thankful for this chance at life I've been given, after all I've done, and after all that's been done.

I'm thankful for music and literature, calming me when I feel overwhelmed and giving me the chance to think before I act, as I know I'm not prone to do.

Thank you, everyone. you've no idea how much everything means to me now...

I am so thankful for TOILET PAPER! Gah, what would this world be without it's gentle softness? I can't tell you how many times I've been so pissed off and had to use something OTHER than that white fluffy goodness...And my mom stole my other roll of toilet paper, too, and I've had to start stealing it from the Chemistry building bathroom...Oh woe!

And Ryan, too. But mostly Toilet Paper.

Probably using leaves and ripping out pages from catologs . That's what they used before toilet paper!

And then of course someone using leaves would end up using poison oak or ivy and someoen with a catolog would get a paper cut on their butt. Ouch, So yeah, I can see the reasons for being thankful for toilet paper.
