Bad Habits, Anyone?

Besides procrastinating, I always find myself biting the inside of my cheek. Also, I always paint my nails and scratch it all off during classes. *thinks* Oh, and I draw on anything when I'm bored. Like, one of the tables in the living room is now 1/3 covered with doodling all because of one four hour phone conversation. (Though I usually hate talking on phones.)

SO... what are some of your bad habits. Not necessarily bad, but arr. Anywho. >_>

[edit:] Hmm. And swearing. And boasting. And dropping expensive electronics.

Hm, I too would have to say scratching my fingernail polish off. Also, this sucks: I always like to lecture people. Like if they are doing something I don't like, then I will keep telling them why it is bad and won't stop. I wish I would stop.

Hey, I'm a lot like you Juuthena. I procrastinate, I bite the inside of my cheek, and I tend to scratch my nail polish off too. I use to bite my nails, but I don't anymore. Another bad habit, I guess, is anytime I'm in trouble, I just close my eyes and hope it goes away. Probably not good to do. And when I get nervous I have to twist a napkin or pinch my hands or something.

At one point I had a lot of bad habits, but not so much anymore. ^_^

Well mostly scraping my nail polish of during classes, LOL, I think every girl does that. I tend to put my music during car rides and when my mom talks to me Im always like "uh-hu" and okay. And i tend to be tomboish sometimes and its really stupid.

I bite my cuticles (the skin on the edges of your nails) and tend to twirl other people's hair. The hair twirling is more like one of those things like sucking your thumb that you do as a kid and it makes you feel safe. I just never grew out of it, lol. ^^;;

I also tend to procrastinate...like right now. Does insomnia count as a bad habit?

I never considered my insomnia a bad habbit, just annoying. But I procrastinate, and I also find myself going into spazztic metal growls.. don't know if you consider it a habbit. I kind of do, because I have to sing like that for a band... so it's a habbit, warming up my voice for recording or performing.
Is talking to yourself a bad habit? lol.
I hope not O_o

I bite the inside of my cheek, too, I also have a bad habit of peeling of the skin from my lips when they are chapped >_< terrible, that's why I wear such dark lipstick, lol.

I tend to doodle all through lessons, which is quite bad since that usually means that I'm not listening and the teachers then pick on me. Another bad habit I have is being very sarcastic, though I'd rather not stop being that way, it's a part of my personality no matter how much my friends hate it! XD
Oh yeah, I tend to correct people on their English while they talk, too, that's earned me a cold look many a time before.

I'm almost always chewing my fingernails until they bleed. And then when I have no fingernaisl left to chew, I chew the cuticles*ouch*. Also, when I'm nervous I wrigle my hands around constantly, and I find myself being made fun of for it. And yes, like most people do, I procrastinate and end up getting myself into trouble. Also, I too correct poeple in both their speech and writing. Like last year, i had a social studies teacher who had a spelling disorder, man she hated so much by the end of the year. ;)

I talk to myself like there's no tomorrow. Like last night I was in the grocery store looking for dinner and I ended up in teh frozen foods section. I kept looking at the frozen food and noticing how so many of them were advertising low carbs, so I kept muttering to myself 'I don't care about carbs.'

I go up to strange people and make suggestions too. Come to think of it, I did that last night as well.

I also tend to pick on people a lot. It's mostly people I know and care about too. So my husband gets a lot of it. Especially when we're on line because I can't pick on him in person right now. But hey, he's done a lot of silly things, like naming a male cat Katie when he was 17, so he deserves some of it.

Let's see, as stated in my custom title I'm very vain. I think about myself a lot, but I do care about others as well, so I'm not that bad. I think.

But I'm sure that's about it. Atleast I'm not Catholic any more so I don't have to go confess my sins to the priest.

I talk to myself too often, mostly in school. My friends keep on saying "What?" all the time when I'm talking to myself and it makes me real annoyed, lol. I wouldn't call it talking to myself more like mumbling to myself.

One of my biggest habits would have to be shouting and swearing at the TV or other electronic stuff. I told the printer to fu** off when it wouldn't print my poster for school. I get pi**ed off at my computer and start saying things like "Look, you stupid machine can't you just..." and so on, but worst is the TV. When "Who wants to be a Millionaire" is on, I shout at the people on the show and call them names, I insult them and make a joke out of what Chris says. When my favourite character gets their head kicked in on cartoons I normally shout out swear words and tell the TV to fu** off.

...Swearing is another thing. My mum says I can swear all I want when I'm 13, but she said that last year as well...

I draw on my notepad during conferences and meetings. I don't chew my nails but I do chew on a wisp of my hair sometimes especially in braids which I wear at work or on the ends of the ribbon if I am wearing any. I sing to myself in the hallways at work, nice acoustics.

Interesting, most interesting.

Well apart from talking to myself and biting my nails and cuticles, though I don't do that nearly as much as I used to anymore, I don't really have any bad habits. One of my worst habits though is pretending to listen to people while I'm doing something else, like watching TV or using the Internet. It's just a case of me going "Yeah... Yeah... Uhuh..." until they realise I'm not listening and go Conan the Barbarian on my ***. It's amazing how annoyed people can get when they realise they're being annoyed, sometimes I do it just for the fun of it, though I suppose that's another bad habit.

Self-talking seems popular. My stepfather used that to "demonstrate" I think he and my mother are idiots...

I also have a strong tendancy to hijack my own activities, ending up doind something totally different from what I wanted too.

ANd I eat my lips and cuticles, but not my nails. Not much anyway.

That's me all over. I'm always eatting my lips and correcting the hell out of people's grammar. Bad grammar is a pet peeve of mine. I am also at a constant state of foot tapping. IT NEVER STOPS!!!

One of my really bad habits is breaking FCC and other telecommunications laws. It's so fun, though.

Hmmm, let's see bad habits... bad habits... I chew my fingernails (depending on how much of a fingernail I have after neglecting to clip them) constantly, especially during school when people are talking/looking at me. When I don't have any fingernails left I'll just put my thumb in my mouth partially. Maybe that's a nervous condition or something, dunno.

Something else is not listening and then I say I am listening then 5 secs later I ask what was said. And of course, procrastination. I mean, who wants to do a 5 page report on something like how does your hair grow anyway lol.

I do a lot of the same crap. chew nails, not hair tho' don't have any to chew on, talk to myself. I talk too much to other people outside of work, perils of the job. I smile alot. did you know that annoys the shiitake out of people they think your having too much fun. I call Rin too often at work and on her cell, she's even gotten in trouble for it. I fight with Ky too much and at Mu not enough. I am to anal about time and schedules even though I don't wear a watch. That comes from being a pilot and navigator for 15 years.

See? we're not that much different are we?

What is with everyone and bad habits?

Hmm.. I haven't really noticed any particular 'bad habits' I have. Perhaps it's going online too much. Or a tendency to 'manipulating' people into doing small favours for me : / I don't think it's such a bad habit. Why do something yourself if someone else is more willing? Oh well..
I'm extremely sarcastic[/SIZE']
As a fellow speaker of Sarcastish I don't believe it's a bad habit. Sure I might say something genuinely and my friend was absolutely sure I said it sarcastically (usually in reference to giving them a compliment) but that's not my fault.. Fine it is my fault.

Just don't tell girls that they're gorgeous or charming or something similar in a sarcastic tone. I think they take it the wrong way ^^"

Bad habits, lol....whoo boy. ^^;

Being judgemental. Well, like someone here said (too lazy to backtrack, lol), I can "get on people's cases" about what's wrong and factual/bad for you, kinda lecture them (but not in a downsizing way), but it's mostly because I care about them enough to voice my concern. Oh, well, lol.

Occasional cutting sense of humor. Ok, it may be more of a personality weakness than a bad habit, but I've received plenty of frowns and barks, offline and on, when I grow biting and whatnot. :( I have been cutting back on it, using pleasant-sounding sarcasm instead. Improvements, but sarcasm will always be a partof my sense of humor, regardless of form.

Insomnia. Yeah, I do see it as either a bad habit or a serious health condition, depending on whether or not it's deliberate. As with me, it's deliberate, lol. I don't drink coffee or anything (I consume items such as chocolate chip cookies, if they're available). Even as I type I should be in bed, but oh well. My way is "go to bed when I'm sleepy". :p

Wiggling/Pushing my nose up. It's odd. It's subconscious. Bad habit as in it creates a faded line across my lose, lol, and sometimes the accessive rubbi/wiggliness creates a small sore. x.x;

Procrastination. Yes, it can get pretty bad. It held me back on year in high school because I dawdled on my math, and focused too much on other subjects, and was falling a bit behind to begin with. :( I wish it was some health problem. :whoops:

I'm sure that's it. I have more quirks than bad habits, lol.

I have quite a few habits that would probably be considered bad. Insomnia might be a bad habbit I guess. I don't think I go to bed until 3am or later, I just feel like there's something better to do with my time. But then there is contrary habit. I'll be sitting on campus in my nice little classroom, and the teacher will be babbling on about stuff that I already know and find frivilous to be teaching to college students, so I'll either draw pictures and cartoons instead of taking notes, or I will go to dream land. I've actually devised the perfect position to not get caught. When people talk to me, sometimes I'm figuring out how the surrounding area could turn into a cool action scene with music and everything. Then the people are like 'right?' and im like 'um...can you repeat that?' Sometimes they get mad. *shrug* I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but I guess that's good for my job.
