I really can't help it. Despite the 40 degree weather and the mix of rain and sun today, I'm just in a festive mood. Let's balme my mom becuase she decorated the house this past week since she was off of work. That way I don't have to go see a psychatrist. Anyways, let's get to the subject. What are your favorite holiday movies? If you can add favorite scenes and why you chose these movies please go rigt ahead.

1.) National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.-Is first and formost because I've watched it pretty much every year since it came out on video. The whole family get together is even worse than mine. The best parts of the movie are when
Chevy Chase cuts down the tree in his yard and it crashes through his snobby neighbor's window. The scene where the cat finds the squirell in the tree and they start running through the house and of course when Chase's brother kidnaps his boss and brings him back to the house tied up in a red bow.

2.) How The Grinch Stole Christmas-The live version is my favorite since there are so many special effects and so much went into making it. Also, the story gets a bit more in depth. My favorite scenes from this movie are when the Grinch wraps up the Who girl after he saves her and when he vacuums up the cat when he's robbing the houses.

3.) It's A Wonderful Life- Please bear with me becuase I only saw the whole movie once two years ago. But I found the whole thing very touching. Especially where he's shown how the world would be like with out him. Very sweet.

Well, I've shared 3 of mine, now it's your turn.

Interesting, most interesting.

Personally I'm not a huge fan of Christmas films, as they tend to be repeated every year without a break, though in saying that there are some Christmas films which I do enjoy watching.

Jingle all the Way: There's just something about this film that I really enjoy watching when it's on, perhaps it's the fact that we get to see The Governator in a role we don't see him in often. The storyline is a little silly and the events are slightly madcap at times but over all it's just a nice Christmas film with a happy ending.

The Santa Clause: It's been years since I've actually sat down at watched the film with Tim Allen, actually the last time I saw it was Christmas two years ago on RTE One. I can't remember exactly what it is about the film that I like, I suppose it's just there with Jingle all the Way, a nice film to be able to watch at Christmas with your family.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory: Gene Wilder is simply brilliant in the role of the chocolate maker from Dahl's children's novel. I learned recently that it's over 25 years old at this stage and Johnny Depp is to start as Wonka in a remake of the film that's due out in the next year of so.

Oh yeah, that's a great film. I found some pictures of the upcoming remake, and that looks pretty spiffy as well. Especially with Tim Burton as the director. Should be spectacular. :)

My favourite would have to be Love Actually. Not too many of my friends enjoyed this film, but it's one of my favourites. It's a bit slow at the beginning, but I love the sense of humour and the ensamble just makes it work. Laughed a lot, and it was overall pretty memorable to me.

And I don't know if Moulin Rouge counts, really, but I always find myself watching it 2931809823 times over during the winter. It's my top movie, and just warming for the wintertime. If you haven't seen it, you must rent it, or it'd be a perfect gift. ^_^;

1.Nightmare Before Christmas because it it very crazily done and I love Tim Burtons style of childrens movies...very morbid but not so much that my 4 year old sister cant like it. Its also is very touching and can be a halloween movie, too!
2.Its A Wonderful Life Chibihorsewoman pretty much covered it...but I almost cry when george just read terrances letter and the bell rings and his little girl says "I heard whenever a bell rings an angel gets its wings"...

1. A Christmas Story - Absolute classic, don't even BEGIN to deny it! "Fah rah rah rah rah, ra ra..."

2. A Christmas Carol - The TNT version with Patrick Stewart as Scrooge...my personal favorite version of the story.

3. The Hewbrew Hammer - ...Don't question me.

The Santa Claus- This movie is just hilarious and cute. I watch it all year round. I'm serious, I do watch it twice a week at least. I just love it.

Jingle All the Way- This one is so funny. The things the people do in that movie....lol. I used to have it but I lost it...

And there was another movie I was going to put but I forgot which one...oh well

I don't really have 3, but here are two that I have to watch every year.

A Christmas Story... comes on more than Ferris Bueller's Day Off does (I remember when it came on like 300 times in one day [felt like 300] on HBO, still can't watch that movie). But none the less, I still have to watch it every year, doesn't seem to get old for some reason.

Another one is the Santa Claus with Tim Allen. I just enjoy that movie.

First off on my list, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. This defines the holiday for me because it's just a family tradition to gather 'round and watch this movie. Chevy Chase is hilarious, but what really made the movie (in my opinion) was Randy Quaid. This man is beyond funny and the movie would not have had the same feel if the part of Eddie were taken by someone else. The turkey scene was great, but the squirrel has to be the best ^_^

Jingle All the Way is my second favorite because it's so funny to see everything go wrong for A'nold. It was his first performance (that I am aware of) that he wasn't the "GI Joe" or the "super spy" character..even though True Lies was the best..eh hem. The character he played in Jingle All the Way suited him perfectly and I think he did well. The movie showed the reality of the "last minute'' Christmas shoppers. (If anyone is working in retail, or has, you can plainly see the honesty..people are freakin insane!)

The Santa Clause, starring Tim Allen. I don't know what it is about this movie, but I really enjoy watching it. I guess it's because the movie carries out the spirit of Christmas and gives it some sort of magical feeling.

How the James Stole Christmas by DragonWarrior. Crazy, crazy, sexy..^_^ James' performance was brilliant and DW's ingenious is mindblowing. I hope he does another Christmas movie.
