?[I]They say you grow out of things like Santa Claus and Advent Calendars. Heck, adults say that they eventually grow out of making wishes, or at least believing that they would come true.
I think it?s sad when people reach that age when they just, well, run out of things to believe in! I mean, who?s to prove that Santa doesn?t exist, everyone just [I]assumes[/I] that it?s a little story to get children to behave properly, not that it actually works! I?ve seen many a child before now behave like a little horror all year round and make a miraculous change in the week before Christmas. They think I don?t know, but I guess that?s what makes me so famous?.good thing I can keep my ego under control.

But I?m getting off track now?let?s see. Ah yes! I was going to talk about wishes, particularly Christmas Wishes. Most children make their lists for me, wishing for gifts that they?ve been wanting all year. Why don?t adults do it? When it?s really adults who want things more, need them more.

Take a woman from a few years back, yes, I remember her well. She and her husband had been trying all year long for a baby but they just couldn?t get it. Just when she believed that all hope was lost, a family member made a joke saying that Santa may bring one. She laughed and wrote out a letter just for me, chuckling as she went to bed with her husband. Low and behold, a week after Christmas, she fell pregnant. A little late, I know, but some wishes are a little hard to grant with my age.

The point I?m getting at is that you should never forget about the good times you had when you were young! That bliss that you experienced believing in the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny and?me. So take this to heed, everyone, this Christmas, make a wish and write it out for Santa. You never know what the power of belief can do?.?[/I]

The blond shook her head, patting her friend on the back while laughing, switching on the lights and drawing the curtains.

[B]?I think I?m going to buy you an advent calendar, so you can experience the ?bliss? you felt as a child.?[/B]

Natalie sighed, looking at her roommate like she had finally lost it before turning on her heel and leaving the room, getting in her car to drive to the store.
Tomorrow would be December 1st, the day that children worldwide got their Advent Calendars and started the countdown to Christmas.

Jamie smiled and looked out of the window, staring at the clear sky while deep in thought. Somewhere an old man smiled, laughing from the conversation he had just heard.

[RIGHT]Look! A corny Christmas Romance RP for all to enjoy! Okay, so not everyone has to go alone with the romance, I just want people to have fun.
Now, I know you?re going to think that it?s far too early to start a Christmas RP, but as you can see, this will follow an Advent Calendar (a calendar that has something like a chocolate behind each day, counting down the days from Dec 1st to Christmas Eve). I think I?ll limit the amount of people to 6, so sign up anyway but you may not get in. This isn?t first come, first serve (hopefully I?ll get enough interest).

Just to clarify something, Santa is real in this RP! I do not believe in Santa >_> but I think it would be fun if he existed?.
The Wish Calendar is like an advent calendar, each window for a day has a chocolate behind it but it also has a little scroll of gold paper behind one of the dates (there is only one!) on the scroll, the person who owns the calendar writes one wish (either for a gift or something else) and the leaves the Calendar out on Christmas Eve, hoping that Santa will grant their wishes. Make the wish count people, ?tis important!

Just a weird little idea I came up with, heh heh.

I will be playing Jamie and anyone can play Natalie, Jamie?s roommate.

Most of all I want this to be fun and hopefully for it to actually run until Christmas.

[B]Personality:[/B] Jon hates (a known fact) children. Even though he works in a toy shop full of kids he absolutely hates them, though he tries not to show it. He doesn't believe in Santa but he does believe in wishes coming true and most of all he's had an advent calender from when he was a kid. But he never got his wish in any of them, and Jon plans to make this year his last year of getting an advent calender. But aside from hating children, Jon is somewhat charming and sweet. He puts himself before others most of the time but he keeps his normal ways even when he's trying to impress. He's a pig when he eats and swears a lot around people (almost got fired once for swearing), and like said before he loves to entertain. Though Jon has been known to keep a promise he's also been known for keeping wild promises, promises so wild that he sometimes can't keep them but often finds a way too. Jon would rather die than break a promise.

Around people, Jon acts like his normal charming, sweet and generus... pig self.

When Jon was 16 and leaving high school soon he planned to go to a music school and keep going on from there, however the death of his mother in a car accident stopped him from going. His father later moved away but still owned a few clubs and bars, also lending some money off his father. Personality: Donovan is, well, dark. His humor is dark, his mood is dark, his world view is dark. Bitterly cynical, he doesn't just believe that the world is going to hell, he [I]knows[/I] it. He never passes up an oportunity to show off his dry wit and brutally sarcastic tongue either. However, if you can push past the bitter, snide exterior, inside Donovan is sad, lonely, and just wants someone to love him, and to love back. If he wasn't so bitter as to not believe in wishes, he'd probably just wish for love.

Bio: Donovan is great at his job, even though he doesn't necessarily like people. He is, was, and always will be a gamer, not to mention a movie/music buff, so he's great at finding what people want and or need. He found himself annoyed at his employer handing out Advent Calendars. Most times she will keep it down with a headband, but sometimes she will have it up in a bun or braid. Her eyes are green with specks of blue in them. Megan has a small button nose and thin lips. Very rare is she seen with makeup on, the most people see her wear is chapstick in the wintertime. She stands five foot seven inches and has a slim build. She normally wears fun colorful clothing when she goes and teaches. They are still always neat and tidy how she likes. When she is not at school her outfit varies from what she is doing. Megan only wears only a wristwatch with a pink band and the watch face is just plane with the numbers on it. Every now and than she will wear a necklace but not often.

Personality: Megan, know as Meg or Maggie to her friends, is known for her patient. Many tell her how she can she be so patient, Megan just shrugs her shoulders and says patient is a vertue. Megan adores children, but doesn?t want any of her own. Megan can seem childlike herself sometimes in her manner. She can get excited over basically anything. Always a smile on her face, she is always kind to anyone. Megan is a bit to trustfully though, she will believe mostly what anyone says. It often tend to get her in trouble. Always a believer in miracle and wishes, though she never one her wishes granted. Never one to give up hope though she stills believes.

Bio: Every year she buys herself and all the children an advent calendar to make sure that the children will believe in wishes and miracles too. She began doing this becauseshe rembered her mother used to be a teacher as well and she had always baught the childen an Advent Caledner. During her free time Megan loves to read mostly romance novels, but she will read anything when she is bored. Throughout her small apartment there are the drawling and crafts that her students have coloured and made for her. [/size]

Bio: Used to the busy rush of the holidays, an expert at note taking, and able to multitask like no other. She's an expert with organizing files and folders and has yet to succumb to carpel tunnel syndrome. Leilong has a lovely phone personality that puts even the most disgruntled of customers at ease, and usually gets things to run smoothly. If they don't, she suffers in her paycheck, via her evil boss.[/COLOR]

Appearance: Cameron stands at about 5'8" and weighs 143 lbs. He has a small body from with a fairly strong build. He is light skinned with dark brown hair and eyes that are both often seen as black from far away. He usually wears contacts due to his eyesight that limits him to seeing things clearly 5 feet away. But if he's too lazy he will wear glasses that most people seem to say he looks better in. He often wears jeans and a T-Shirt with hooded sweatshirt on top of it.

Personality: Cameron is very shy around most people, especially girls he likes, unless he is very close friends with them. He is often quiet and keeps to himself. He is overapologetic even for things he hadn't done. He doesn't usually like to be alone and almost feels like he always needs to have somebody near him so he doesn't feel alone.

Bio: Cameron is the youngest of three boys with his brothers 5 years older than he. He always hung out with them either playing basketball or playing video games. He never found himself not having a friend which made it very easy to make friends with others if he so wished to. He did very well in school and got a free ride into college. He plans on learning enough computer programs to be able to animate his own cartoons as well as to create games for himself. Even though he has many friends, never in his life has he been in a relationship. It's either been because he's too shy to ask someone out or he is afraid of being 'shot down.'

She has a pale complexion but usually likes to wear purple make up, she especially likes to wear dark purple lipstick, giving her a rather gothic look most of the time. She has high cheekbones and long eyelashes, casting a shadow on her grey/green eyes. She has a reasonable figure, usually going to the gym at least once a week to swim. Usually she will wear black or grey jeans matched with a polar neck of any colour (except brown) she always wears a plain silver cross around her neck, a gift from her mother.

[B]Personality:[/B] Jamie is usually a very happy person who enjoys other people's company and is willing to talk to people if she needs to. She has to be good with people in her job as the Bread Roll is a very well known Cafe and has a good reputation, she has won best employee of the year once and hopes to win the award again this year. She has a good sense of humour and loves to make her friends laugh, even if it's at her own expense. The only problem with Jamie is that she isn't very confident; if someone makes a comment on her appearance she takes it to heart and goes into a slightly depressive mood. For most of her life she was lead to believe, by both her father and brother, that she was ugly and would never get married. It has stuck with her and Jamie can't seem to get over it.

[B]Bio:[/B] Jamie was raised in a rough area of England and never really experienced a happy childhood. Her father was a violent drunk and her brother was constantly in and out of jail, despite that, she and her mother kept high spirits and learned to live through it all.

When Jamie's mother divorced her husband, the two women moved to London and started the tradition of Advent Calendars, both thought it was silly but enjoyed it never the less.

When Jamie decided to move to America, her mother was sad but was glad that her daughter had found something to do in her life, so she supported Jamie every step of the way. Jamie studied English in New York and started to do Drama classes, getting some good roles in School plays. She eventually joined a theatre group and took part in plays during her holidays and weekends, most of the things she done was Shakespeare.
Jamie now has a permanent job at the Bread Roll and she has been there for 2 years, she doesn't act much any more but still enjoys the theatre.[/COLOR]

His parents, Louise and Harry (Sr.) made an easy living, Louise being a lawyer and Harry the owner of a small chain of video stores. Danny was treated to extravagant things; private schools, big toys, guitars, etc.

Besides being teased by his brother for being a "pretty boy" his whole life, Danny had no problems at all. He was popular at school and got good grades and even got himself a scholarship to Brown University. He told his parents proudly "Didn't have to buy [i]that[/i], did you?" Even at an early age Danny had showed talent for music, and it came as no surprise to friends and family that Music was his best subject at Brown.

Unexpectedly, Danny suddenly proclaimed he wanted to move to New York "because it sounds like fun." Really, all Danny wanted to do was maybe go and get his start as a musician at the Big Apple. So he moved, played his guitar and sang for a few people. He got the same response

He just asked for some money, got himself an apartment and a job working as a waiter. He had to resist the urge to chuck it out the window after what happened at the Bread Roll.
