Gaming Gameboy OOS HELP!!! LOST WOODS

Two questions, but same area of the game:LOST WOODS
1. I am at the end of the trading game, and have received the instructions of how to get the sword upgrade (temps rise as you go way west) but no matter what I try it doesn't work.
2. Also in the lost woods, I AM LOST! I have followed the directions given me (spring go south, etc) but I can't get out!

AAAHHHHHHHH

Any ideas??????

winter, fall, spring, summer (for both)

for the sword you go left, left, left, left :)
for the next dungoen you go left, down, right (yes you can go right), up MAKE SURE TO get the seeds off the tree!!!!!![/COLOR][/FONT][/SIZE]
