OOC: Time to start this.

IC: As Drake and his crew flew the ship to the town of Kredi on Katenea, he saw explosions from the planet itself. They weren't right there, but they were near Kredi.
"A war must be going on. I feel sorry for those poor souls when they have to face Kay. CREW! Get a carrier ship ready and put the Rhino in its hangar."
"The Rhino sir?!"
"Did I stutter? OF COURSE THE RHINO!"
"But sir, although that mech does have incredible firepower, it-"
"Don't give me lectures on a mech that I built! I said get it ready! Have it equiped with these guns as well. The Buster Cannon, The Lancer Machine Gun, and the Meteor Gun. Make sure the Rhino has full missles, energy, and that there is no damage on it."
".....yes sir. This will take about an hour to do."
"Right, drop it off when preparations are done. I'll be fighting down there." he said as he grabbed his guns and filled his pouches with explosives. He grabbed a large gun, a small hand gun, and one that looked like it could do a lot of damage. Drake ran towards one of the small flag ships. "I want that mech down there ASAP." he yelled right before he took off. He flew right through the planet's atmosphere. He saw what his enemy looked like. His enemy had a lot of mechs and vehicles. There were almost no foot soldiers. Drake set his ship to crash right into one of their mechs. When the ship was close enough to the mech, Drake ejected. The ship hit the mech and did a considerable amount of damage. When Drake was ejected, he planted himself on the face of the mech. He saw that his enemy was wearing a mask.
"Get OFF my mech, you little bitch" said the driver. Drake just reached into his pouch and stuck an explosive onto the windshield. He then jumped off. The explosive went off, right in the mechs face. The mechs whole head was gone from the combined technology exploding with the bomb. Drake then reatreated to a small hut in Kredi. He went through the door, to find a girl about his age with long pink hair with her back facing him.
"Your late. What took ya?"
"Couldn't let you take all the fun, Kay"
She turned around," Well, did you bring my baby?" Drake threw the heavy weapon to Kay. She caught it and started to grow such an evil grin on her face.
"Let's go raise some hell!" said Drake.

"Outta my way!" yelled a moderator, chasing after a young character running through the streets. "Sorry! Comin' through. Watch it!! Woah--" she shouted, nearly getting run over by a group of people. Then she got an idea.

The girl squished in between some of the users and ran with the group who were travelling north east instead of north west. When the mods reached the intersection, they continued in the same direction, still commanding eachother to catch the girl and other users to move out of their way.

I got away... she thought, breaking away from the group who continued running. "Now where am I..?" she wondered, noticing only one shop and one inn. She entered the inn and took a seat in the lobby. "Care to rest, Ms?" "No thanks. My health's full." The NPC inn-keeper nodded, then resumed talking with other people inside.

"So what did ya do?" "What?!" the girl nearly shrieked. She jumped up and pulled out her sword. "Woah, woah, woah! Hold it, there, Rin! I didn't mean to scare ya! But please, don't go jabbin' that thing in my face like that.."

"DON'T CALL ME THAT HERE!" she whispered angrily. "Oh. Sorry, Kitten." She elbowed him in the side. "But yeah. Sorry about shoving my sword in your face. Didn't know it was you." Kitten looked around to see a few users staring at her. "What?" she growled, making them turn away. "Heh. You're still the same." "Yeah. But you.. You haven't been here for so long. What's been up, Mushu?"

"Nothing. And my screename's Gray, remember?" he laughed. "Oh yeah. Sorry." She then sighed and gave him a hug. "It hasn't been the same without you." Surprised by the hug, he was silent for a minute, then hugged her back. "You told me that when I left. I guess you were true to your word," Gray smiled. "You weren't though." "Hmm?" "You said you'd quit for good, but here you are." The two of them laughed, then walked outside together.

"So.. what did you do?" "My friend, Z, remember him? Yeah, well Z hacked and got banned. But he transfered all his items to my account before hand! I didn't know why, but I took 'em. Why wouldn't I? But now they want whatever he used to hack. But he didn't GIVE it to me.. So I told them that story, they didn't believe me, and now I'm running away," Kitten explained. "It's because of what we did. What we used to do.." "Well, you're a theif. It's basically your JOB to steal." "Not from the system. And that's what I did. That's what I made you do.."

They walked side by side silently for a moment. Then she grabbed his shoulders and looked him in the eye. "We need a ship. And I know you have one." "Yeah? Why do you-- WE need one?" Gray began smiling as he saw Kitten's devilish grin spread across her face. "We're gonna escape the stupid 'system'. This is a game. We're supposed to have fun." He nodded, then dragged her towards a nearby haven.

"Okay? So now what?" Kitten asked after Gray had finished. "We go to my ship." And after a few seconds, Kitten and Gray were teleported onto his ship. "Well Captain? Where to?" Gray chuckled, bowing to her. "Knock that off. And let's go to.. Oh! We'll go visit Angy! She'll be happy to see you! She'll probably be on planet Katenea."

"That'll take awhile. I mean, we're here on planet Minnou. That's at least an.. hour away," he mentioned. "Well.. we'll just take an hour, then!" she insisted. "Off to Katenea," Gray called. "Oh wait.. we don't have a crew.." "WHAT?!" she shouted, practically falling over.

"All the members of my crew don't know I'm back.." "Then message them already! They'll come. And then we can get on our way.. finally." Gray began typing up a message, then sent it to all 26 members of his crew. And within a few minutes, most of them came aboard the ship. "Gray!" they all called, running up. "Oh. Rin! Glad to see you safe and sound! We heard your account is going to be deleted soon," one of them said, running up to her.

"They can't do that!" Gray shouted. "Yes they can," Kitten muttered, "but I won't let them. They aren't going to get rid of me because of some stupid items. And don't call me Rin!!" "But we're on the ship. It's okay here," said one of the crew. ".. Fine." Gray let out a laugh, then ordered all the crew to return to their positions.

"But sir! Two of our crew aren't here!" "Do we need them?" "Well.. we need someone to operate the ship's weapo-" "I'll do it!" Kitten shouted, running down the hall towards the weapon control room. "That's our Rin," Gray smiled. "Well!? We've got our weaponry operator! Let's move it!" "Aye aye, sir!" they all shouted. Drake and Kay were doing mass damage to the opposing side. Kay was firing bombs like crazy from her weapon and Drake was firing electric blasts from HIS big gun. They had a lot of mechs and forces of their taken down. Kay, looking at how low her ammo was on her gun. "I hope you have something else planned Drake. My ammo is almost low!"
"Don't worry, the Rhino is getting prepared! We just have to hold them off until it gets here!"
"He he, the Rhino eh? Sounds like you want to have some fun"
"Oh yeah!" he said firing another energy blast. "Though, it'll take about another half-hour before it'll be dropped off! So, I'm gonna ask them to drop some ammo off."
"Either that or a different gun"
"Well" said Drake, as he put up a sniper scope and pushed a button on his gun," There is that arm-mounted cannon that you also like."
"Which ever one you think we should do."
"Hmmmm, how about just more ammo. I know that that gun is more powerful, but the only problem is, that you go through the ammo pretty quick" he said, as he shot a blast of energy through a windshield, killing one of the enemy. "Here, hold them off until the ammo comes." Drake said, handing his blaster to Kay. He pressed a button on his eye shield to open a communication. "This is your captain speaking. How are the preparations for the Rhino?"
"Well sir, we just need about five more minutes. It didn't take as long as we expected. If you can just hold them off for that long, the Rhino will be down there."
"GOOD! While you are finishing preparations, Kay wants you to bring more ammo down for the Boom-Cannon"
"Yes sir, we'll bring that down as well."
"Good, ending transmission" he said and the communication was blocked. He ran back to Kay, who was firing at the enemy like crazy. "They said that they'd be here soon and they'd bring the ammo with the Rhino."
"Good, this thing is almost out as well." Kay said, handing the gun back to Drake.
"Let me see that Boom-Cannon for just a sec." he said taking the cannon from Kay. Drake reached into another leather pouche and brang out a round looking explosive. He pressed a button on it, making it armed. It started to beep slowly, as Drake loaded it up in the cannon and took aim. He waited for the beeping to get faster.
"Drake! Fire it before we get blown to bits!"
"Not yet." he said, letting it beep faster.
"DRAKE!"
"Not yet!" it got faster.
"DRAKE, SHOOT THE DAMN THING!"
"NOW!" he said, firing the explosive at a mech. It traveled fast and went right into the windshield of that mech as well. Almost as soon as it hit the windshield, it exploded taking the mech's head with it. Just then, a small ship came down. "Yes! They're here!" he yelled. A beam soon transported Drake onto the ship. He ran quickly to the hangar of the ship to find a big mech there, waiting for him. Drake grabbed his helmet and climbed on. He started up the mech and went out of the hangar. Landing, he saw that Kay was already getting ammo from a capsule that the ship dropped as well. They were both ready to cause mass destruction.

Remi was personally sick of having to deal with the constant problems with his piece of junk Jackoal AKA short distance transport with small guns and lots of speed. For the 3rd time this week the darn thing broke right as he was taking off making the whole ship crash right back into the port. The first time it was just a broken anti gravity coil but this time it landed on one of the wings and bend it upwards at a 45 degree angle.

Sighing to himself he Set to work repairing the ship with what little skill he had. After seeing what the real problem which turned out to be a broken bolt which had fallen into the ships starboard engine and had knocked the engine off just enough so it would fly crooked and pummel he resigned to yanking the whole thing apart and looking at what parts he needed to get from a new in Kredi rather small part shop.

Stepping out of the port bay he nearly got his head blown off by a rather large missile which missed him by a hair. Pulling out his plasma pistol he shot a few charges at the mech and then dashed across the street and into the shop.

Remi: Oh boy need that part bad now or I am going to be roasted here with all the fighting Hey shopkeeper

Npc shopkeeper: Would you like to buy parts
Yes
No

Npc Shopkeeper: I am sorry we are currently out of all parts please come back later.

Remi: WHAT! Oh *#&!

Npc Shopkeeper: Have a nice day

Remi: Uh oh now what?

suddenly the roof caves in as a large blast destroys a building ducking out of the building Remi run right into the mech with it?s gun almost touching his head.

Remi: Bad day..

Aki raced through the trees and out onto the open plains, about two or three miles away from the nearest town, if you could call it a town. The area the Hunter was in was so underdeveloped that its towns were more like campsites.

She stopped for a second to survey her surroundings.

Nothing but golden grass and clear skies all around.

"How boring!" Aki thought out loud, "Not a thing in sight, except for that...save point. I need to get off this planet and go somewhere more...exciting."

There. In the grass. Something was moving, like a lioness stalking its prey. But it was no animal, just some kid PC that was clearly up for a fight.

"You don't stalk a hunter, sweetie, the hunter stalks you," Aki called out, then vanished into the grass. Literally vanished.
By using Enviromeld of course.

Aki was slowly coming up to the left of the kid, and she raised her sword above her shoulder.

"No buts! Get down here and have dinner with the family before I take that stupid game away from you!"

"Bitch..." Kairi grumbled as she went to the game's menu.

"How long has it been?" Kitten asked, spinning around in her chair. "About fifty minutes," one of them replied over the intercom. "Oh.. Okay. We should be there soon, then.."

She turned off the microphone and took off her headphones. "Ahh.. Booooorring... What to do, what to do..?" she muttered, playing with her sword. Suddenly, she felt a slight shift. "What the...?" she began, her chair rolling to the left. "Hey!" she squealed, jumping off and grabbing a pipe above her to keep from hitting the wall.

Kitten reached to the control board where her headset was starting to slide to the left. She grabbed it before it slid all the way. She hurridly shoved it on her head and pushed the button on the control panel. "What's going on!?" she shouted into the microphone.

"We are under attack, repeat, under attack! Enable weaponry," Gray ordered. "Aye, aye!" she reported, climbing her way to the panel. She used her coat to tie herself to the desk and began pushing buttons labeled, "Enable Guns", "Enable Blasters", "Enable Plasma Cannons", etc. She then noticed a button that would give her control over every weapon on the ship. She slammed her fist down on it, hearing the computer read off all the now ready weaponry.

"Communicate with our attacker!" Kitten ordered. "Communicating," the computer responded. "Rin! Listen, we are being attacked by a computer opponent," Gray told her over the headset. "What?! I thought the programmers got rid of those things! They said they imported viruses!" she cried back. "I know. But this one is definately one of them. We'll have to destroy it to get away. Can you handle that?"

Kitten pulled down a target screen. "Rin?" Gray shouted over the boom of another barrage of bullets from the enemy ship. "They're dead," she smirked, grabbing the cannon controls. There was silence for a second before Gray replied, "Alright, then. The safety of our ship is counting on you." "Yeah, yeah," she laughed, finding the ship on her screen. Before firing, she slammed a button on the panel that turned her headset from "Two way" to "One way" radio.

"Take this, virus assholes!" Kitten cheered, pulling the trigger. The cannon fired, the sound of its launch ringing through the entire ship. The blast hit the ship straight on its guns. It now only had bombs to attack them with. She could hear the cries and cheers of her crewmates over the headset, and she let out a happy cry of her own at the success of her first attack. She then switched out controls for the blasters that littered the outter shell of the ship.

"It's over."

A second after she pulled the triggers, all the blasters on the right side of the ship fired at the enemy, blowing chunks of the opposing ship right off, and even leaving holes.

Even louder shrieks and shouts of victory flooded her ears. It took no more than a minute to rid themselves of a pesky virus ship. "Way to go, Rin," she heard Gray congradulate over the racket behind him. "You did it."

When they landed, not too much later, when she came out to the main deck she was surrounded and lifted off her feet by her fellow players. They all cried her name. "Rin! Rin! Rin! Rin!" She laughed and grabbed Gray's hand and pulled him up with her. They were carried off the ship.

"You guys stay here and check out the ship. They did hit us a few times. Repair any damages," Gray told the crew as he and Kitten left to find their old friend.

"Woah," she muttered, grabbing Gray's arm and pointing to some mechs off in the distance. "What's going on there?" he asked, followed immediatly by an explosion. "Maybe this wasn't the best time to drop by, huh?" "I guess-" He was cut off by a damaged mech skeleton falling from the sky no less than ten feet away from them.

"Let's find some cover," Kitten urged him, running off towards some buildings, closely followed by Gray.

"Man I can never get over how cool this place is," said Tao.

"Yeah I know what you mean, but doesn't staying on one planet get boring," asked GODKING.

"No, outer space is for geeks like you."

"If I didn't know you better I'd take that as an insult," she replied.

"It was meant to be one."

"Shut up. Hey wait a minute I'm getting a message."

"What's it about?"

"A group of us are going on a quest party want to go?"

"No, Ill just stay here a little longer."

"Whatever," said GODKING. And with that she was gone. Only Tao was there, he sat his lance down then took a seat himself. He picked up a flower and took a sniff.

"How I wish I could smell your sweet fragrance," he said wistfully.

After a few minutes he got up and started for the next city. "I think its called July city. What a strange name for a city, well it doesn't matter anyway. It's just a game," he said outloud to himself.

OOC: Sorry it wasn't longer. I'm new at this, I'll get better more practice I get.

David Altak sat down in his chair. It wasn't the type of chair you normally see in front of a computer, but then again, it wasn't in front of a computer. David's father, who was something of a technical genius, had managed to configure the home theater in the basement of the Altak house to display the image that would normally be on the computer screen. It took a lot of money, but Mr. Altak was a very successful man. David wasn't only useing a home theater to play the game, he was playing it on the most advanced computer avalible for purchase. A computer his father had helped design.

David selected the game's icon.

Username: Sako

Password: ******

User found. Please select starting location.

Begin from previous save.

Loading. Please wait.

When the game was finished loading, David leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes. When he opened them again, he was more aware of the game than of reality. To him, he was Sako and not David, although anyone watching him would see only David playing a game. For David, it was more like another life than a game. He immerssed himself fully in the game's world until it became reality to him.

Sako, you have one message.

Sako didn't like spending money to read his messages. Fortunatly, his last save was in a signing facility, where people went to look for jobs. Such facilities always had general access termals, which could be used to perform many functions, such as the reading of one's messages, free of charge. Sako found an unused one and accessed his message center.

Sako, you have one new message. Message was sent by Karalos.

Jesus Christ, Sako thought. Doesn't she ever give up? Karalos was a person Sako knew well. She was determined to defeat him in battle, and was constantly challenging him. Sako read the message, though he already knew what it would say.

Sako, I am officially challenging you to an Arena match. We will meet under standard mech-combat rules, with no time limit. If you accept, come to the Gontheras Fifth Arena. I will be waiting.

Sako logged out of his message center and reset the general access terminal before leaving the signing facility. Gontheras Fifth Arena meant the fifth arena constructed on the planet Gontheras, which happened to be the planet Sako was currently on. He was going to accep Karalos's challenge, as he always did. An Arena match was not something he liked to pass up. There was always a cash prize for the winner of an Arena match, and he made quite a lot of money off of Arena matches. Melders were hard to beat in Arena matches, provided that the matches were in a Melder's area of expertise: piloting one-person craft, such as fighters and mechs. Standard rules meant no restrictions, and no time limit meant just that. The match would end when one competetor's mech was non-functional. Of course, in Arena matches any damage was repaired at the end of the match without charge, so a loss in an Arena didn't mean the same thing as elsewhere. Of course, Sako did not intend to lose.

-----------------------------------------------

OOC: Just so you know, I'm going to be posting about the world of the game as if it were reality, simply because David experiances it as reality. He shuts out everything but the game, which then becomes, to him, as real as anything else, and David is no longer David, but Sako. He doesn't actually become Sako, of course, but he comes as close to that as is possible. So, that why I posted the way I did. When David's playing the game, the game is reality to him, so I'll be posting the game in that fashion.

It took a little while for Elise/Durty Gear to get used to her surroundings, like it usually did. But when she got used to them, she saved her game, remembering her mission. There was a player by the name of Angy, who might be connected with another player who had hacked the system. Thinking that it would be fun, Gear took up the mission posted by the moderators to find this player. She had been on this person's tracks for only a little while now, and she was already close to finding them. In fact, she should be on the same planet as Angy was. Gear walked over to the spaceport to ask some questions. But she stopped and hid, when she noticed that one of the people who she was about to ask was Kitten. She was wanted even more by the moderators. Angy could wait. Before Gear could get any closer to them, a mech crashed into the ground, and they both ran off. After the dust settled, Gear started looking for two players. But she had no idea which way they had gone.

OOC: Good to know, Sonata. ^__^
---------
IC:

"Did you notice anyone?" Gray asked after they ran into a small store. "No. Why?" "There was a girl. She was about to walk up to you before the mech fell. I thought you'd have noticed her." "Well, I didn't," Kitten retorted.

"Anyway.." Gray said, changing the subject, "Where do you think Angy'd be?" "I dunno. We're in a mech shop," she explained, pointing to the sign that led to the Mech Garage, "Need anything before we head out?" "How about a mech," Gray laughed. "You have the money? .. Or..." Kitten smiled. "Rin.. No. Not after all the trouble--" Kitten pulled Gray to the corner, out of view of the store clerk and any players in the store.

"Look.. You steal it.. Pick me up on the way! I'll be running east from here. It'll be easy," she whispered in his ear. "But--" Gray tried to protest. But she put her hand to his lips. "Just do this. For old times." "But.. it's been so long.. How do you know I can do it?" "Because.. You're you." The two of them stood smiling at eachother for a moment. Then Kitten snapped her head to the left after she heard a can hit the floor.

"Somebody dropped it?" Gray guessed. "Someone was listening.. Okay. We don't have a choice. Do it now. I know you can do this," she insisted, giving him a small kiss on the cheek. "Rin.." "Go!" she laughed, running out the door.

"He better go east," Kitten said to herself, running through a row of small houses which, she knew, were empty. Two minutes later, a large mech was seen emerging from the Mech Garage. It was a very rare type, too. The Griffyn, it was called, for it resembled the mythical creature. It's wings allowed it to fly, and its four legs allowed it to run, and its tail helped it swim. And everything on it served as a weapon.

"GRAY YOU ROCK!!" Kitten screamed, stopping and waving frantically. The large mech headed towards her at an alarming pace. "That idiot better not run over me," she laughed, not moving. The giant stopped almost as quickly as it flew, landing right infront of her. "Hey Rin! Did I do good?" Gray laughed from the cockpit. "You know it!" she shouted, running towards the mech.

A moment later, it was back in the air and high above the city. "Well?" Gray asked, startling the admiring Kitten. "Huh what?" "Where do you want to go to find Angy?" "I dunno.. Oh wait. I'll just message her! Duh!" she laughed, beginning to type up a message.

"Sent! Okay. We'll have to wait a little bit for a reply. I know she's online, though. We talked at school today. She said she be online around now," Kitten explained. "Okay, Rin," Gray said, smiling. She sat down next to him and began talking with him about how he had stolen the great mech.

Gear ran and jumped onto the impressive mech. If she had the ability to pilot one, that would be the exact one she would have. She wouldn't have made it though, if it weren't for her magnets. But she was really thankful for them when the mech took off and flew into the air. As hard as it was, Gear fought the wind and moved to the back of the Griffyn. She looked for the tell-tale sign of one of the mech's storage containers. When, she finally found it, she pulled off its cover, got inside, and replaced the cover so no one would suspect she was in there. Then, using her magnets once again, she curled up into a ball and pulled loose pieces of metal towards her to disguise herself. Not wanting to be completely defenseless in case she was discovered, she left one of her guns sticking out of the top of the pile. Now all she had to do was wait until they landed this thing. A thought came into her head that she could just bring the whole thing crashing down, but she decided not to since she might be killed as well.

Sako and Karalos met at the Gontheras Fifth Arena before their match. "I'm amazed you haven't given up yet," Sako told her.

"I don't give up," Karalos replied.

"And most of the time, that's a good thing. But eventually, you need to quit. I mean, you're lucky you're as skillled as you are, because otherwise your losses would have depleted your cash reserves." The winner of an Arena match did get a cash prize. The money was provided by the loser, and the amount was agreed on before the match. Some arenas had a no prize option, but most, including the G5A, did not. karalos did lose to Sako a lot, but she was good enough that she won most of her other matches, which provided her with more than enough cash to afford some losses.

"What mech type do you intend this match to use?" Sako asked Karalos.

"I regestered us with Dancer-class mech bases."

Sako nodded. "That's fine with me." Mech bases were the basic mechs. No weapons, no modifications, just the basic frame. Mech bases determined the basic capabilities of a mech, such as durability, speed, maneuverability, etc. Weapons and any modifications that affected a base's stats differed depending on who owned the mech, but the bases themselves were the same. There were several base classes to choose from, but in those classes, each base was the same.

"Let's get on with this," Sako said. "I don't like wasting time."

Business had been slow for him. There wasn't much demand for a handyman in the area he currently occupied.

He heard the sounds of explosions from outside. The screen shook, and beautifully rendered plaster fell from the ceiling of the save room. He rushed outside to what appeared to be a cataclysmic mech battle. Strange, he thought. Kredi seemed like such a peaceful town.

A blasted chunk of mech landed beside his character. Gregor smiled slowly. Business was looking up.

"I have to keep this!" Kitten exclaimed as the Griffyn easily manuevered over the mech battle. "Can I drive? Pleeeease!?" "Okay, okay! You're really psyched up about this thing, aren't you?" Gray teased. Kitten stuck out her tongue, then jumped into his seat. She grabbed the wheel right before he let go.

"I suggest you sit down.." she giggled, placing her hand on the throttle. "Oh.. Rin, you shouldn'--" Gray began, rushing to the passenger seat. As soon as he reached the seat, however, Rin pulled the throttle towards her, sending the amazing mech into a sort of super-speed mode.

Kitten had no trouble keeping in control of the Griffyn's swift and irratic movements. When she finally slowed down, she could have sworn she had flown around the planet three times. "My.. that was fun.." Gray muttered.

"Boy, if you could get sick in the game.." Kitten joked. "Oh, don't even," Gray joked, play-punching her in the shoulder. They grinned at eachother. Then a small beep was heard.

Hey Rin! No kidding, huh? Gray's really back?! How long has it been? Bring him over right away! I'm in South Kredi, a brown building with a sign on the window that says "Meteor". And yes, it is the in-game bar. =P Well come by NOW! Or I'll just have to hunt you down, lol.

-Angy

"Was that Angy?" "Yep. I know where she is now. But where can we take the Griffyn? I don't want to give it up, you know.." Kitten muttered. "I know," Gray smiled, holding her chin up. "Don't worry. You won't have to give it up." Kitten grinned happily.

"Well? How do we keep this thing hidden?" "With its invisibility feature." "It has a cloaking device?! This thing IS the best! Next to us, of course," Kitten laughed. "Come on, lets go meet Angy!" Gray engaged the cloak, making the unmissable mech in the sky dissolve into nothing. Some of the players below who were watching the mech began to wonder what had happened.

They landed the Griffyn on top of a large building where admins and moderators were holding small meetings. "You sure we can land here?" "Of course not," Kitten said, walking out. "Where's the brown building?" "Right there," she said, pointing to the building below. "You jumping?" Gray asked worridly. "Nah. I'm gonna fly," she smiled, handing him a bag before walking off the ledge.

"Rin!!" he called after her. "That girl is nuts," he laughed to himself, putting the bag on his back and taking a breath before following her.

When Gear had decided that the ship had stopped. She released her magnets and dropped all of the spare metal to the ground. She stood up, opened the hatch, and took a step forward. The only problem was, that was a step too far. She was falling. Since she couldn't stop herself from falling, Gear decided to increase her chances of surviving from it. She curled up into a ball, activated her magnets at full power, and started collecting metal from all around.

After she was completely covered with metal, she zoomed past Kitty and her friend and hit the brown building that they were heading to, nearly going through the roof. She decided to stay tucked into a ball, just in case Kitty and that other guy were going to land on the roof. She hoped they wouldn't notice her, but who's going to miss a metal ball that nearly hit you, and made a large crack in the cement on the roof of a building? She could hear someone talking, and she tried to plan out her next move. Should she attack or run or what?

After landing quietly, the two of them ran over to the ball of metal that had passed them on the way down.

"What is it?" Kitten asked, kneeling down next to it. "I don't know. Do you think anyone heard us land?" "No. But they had to have heard this thing. I mean, we heard it and we were still in the air! That loud clunk will bring people up to the roof soon." "Maybe it came from the Griffyn?" Gray suggested. "How? Did it have stray metal balls made of scraps in the storage compartment?" Kitten asked sarcastically.

"Maybe."

The two of them left it on the roof and ran down the steps. "You hear that?" Gray whispered. The two of them stopped, and listened. "Footsteps.. Coming from the roof?" "But there was no one up there, and this is the only way up." "Someone must have followed us," Gray determined. "Great," Kitten sighed. "Let's keep moving then," she suggested, grabbing his arm and pulling him after her as she ran down the steps.

They reached the third floor and exited the stairwell, hearing voices from below. "Think there's an elevator?" "No. Why would people use the stairs, otherwise?" Gray laughed. "Guess you're right. Well, now what?" "Wait for them to pass, then continue to the first floor," he decided. Kitten nodded. The two of them stood out of the way of the stairwell door's window and waited for the sounds of footsteps and voices to pass.

As soon as it quieted, they rushed downstairs. The bottom floor was a bar. Lucky for them, it was quite a full one, too. Nobody noticed them come in. Besides Indigo, of course. "Gray!" she shouted, running over and hugging him. "Angy! I haven't seen you in forever!" Gray smiled happily. "Hanging around a bar, huh? Just like you," Kitten smiled. "Knock it off," Angy laughed. "Well, com'mon! Let's buy you guys a drink," she smiled, dragging Gray behind her, followed by Kitten.

They sat at the bar and talked for a while. Kitten kept an eye on the door, and noticed it open once before the group of players returned. She didn't think much of it, but still wondered about it. She listened in on the groups' conversation. "We didn't find nothin'! Just some pieces of scrap, scattered all around the roof," the fat one exclaimed.

Not in a ball?! What came out of it? Maybe that made the footsteps.. Somebody's following us! Kitten pieced together in her head. "Gray," she interuppted, grabbing his arm. "What is it?" "Somebody's following us," she whispered. Just then, a young girl bumped into her. "Oh, sorry," the girl laughed, "wasn't watching where I was going." As she walked off, Kitten stared after her. "Anyway... look, I don't think we should stick around here much longer." "But we were just catching up," Indigo whined.

"Well.. then come with us!" Gray invited. "Really?" "Yeah! I can't believe I didn't think of that," Kitten joked. "Let's go," she said, grabbing Gray's hand and dragging him off, closly followed by Indigo.

They walked outside and immediatly were hit by a problem. "How do we get to the Griffyn from down here?" Kitten asked, staring up at the large building it was hidden ontop of. "What are you talking about?" "Our mech," Gray told her. "And don't worry," he soothed, turning to Kitten, "It's got a remote feature." "Are you serious?! I am SOO keeping that thing," she smiled, running off. "Where's she going?" Indigo asked. "She's going to go find a good spot where we can summon the Griffyn."

"Hey!" Indigo shouted. "What?" "Hang on a minute," she said, running off. "Wait, where are you...? What was that about?" he wondered, leaning against the wall of the building.

Running off to find a safe place to summon the Griffyn, Kitten ran into a young boy. "Ow!" she muttered, falling to the ground. "You okay?" he asked her, holding out his hand to her. She waved it away and got up herself, brushing the dirt off. "Yeah. Sorry. Wasn't watching where I was going.."

While still cleaning herself off, she noticed him staring at her. "Uh.. What?" "Oh.. huh?" "What's wrong? You're staring at me. Is there dirt on my face or something?" "Oh, uh, no. No," he muttered. "Right..." she said, shaking it off. "Well, I'll be going now."

"Wait!" "Huh?" "Uh.. My username's zisagawa," he stuttered awkwardly. "Nice to meet you," Kitten said, walking past him. "Hey," he said, grabbing her hand. "Aren't you going to tell me your username?" "Kitten." "That's a great name," he said. "Yeah.." she said, glancing to his hand which still held hers.

"Um.. I have to go now.." "Hey, do you know a place to get fuel for mechs? Mine's almost all out." "Now that you mention it, no I don't. That isn't good. What if our mech runs out?" she began trailing off. "'Our'? You mean mine and yours?" "No," Kitten stated blandly, "I mean mine and a friends." "Well.. Hey, can I travel along with you?" "What?" "Like, can I go with you? To wherever it is you're going?" "Why?"

He paused, thinking of what to say.

Rhym, walking through the streets of Kredi, observed the small collision of two users, a male avatar and a female avatar. The female muttered a brief apology and was about to rush off when the male stopped her. There was a short, meanignless conversation, after which the female character again made as if to leave.

"Well, I'll be going now..."
"Wait!"
"Huh?"
"Uh... my usermame's Zisagawa," he was stuttering horribly. Foolish. Online games allow you to look any way you like, Rhym thought.
She coldly brushed the hapless Zisagawa off. "Nice to meet you," she blandly stated as she walked off, obviously unenamored.
"Hey," He grabbed her arm. "Aren't you going to tell me your screenname?" You get points for incentive, though not for much else, thought Rhym.
"Kitten," she stated coldly, very strained. Careful, boy. Some users...
"That's a great name," he stammered.
"Yeah," said Kitten, glancing noticably at Zisagawa's hand. "I have to go now."
But he was determined. "Hey, do you know a place to get fuel for mechs? Mine's almost all out." Nice excuse, kid. Points for quick thinking.
This query perterbed Kitten. "Now that you mention it, no, I don't. That isn't good. What if our mech runs out?" She was obviously concerned about the fuel situation of a mech of hers.
"Ours? You mean mine and yours?" Ouch. Points docked for complete misinterpretation of an easy comment.
"No," Kitten stated, annoyed, "I mean mine and a friends."
"Well..." Zisagawa was going to be hurting for that one. "Hey, can I travel along with you?" Nice.
"What?"
"Like, can I go with you? To wherever it is you're going?"
"Why?"

This question stumped poor, hapless Zisagawa, who spent several painful seconds in awkward silence while his mind raced. Time to intervene before this kid kills himself, thought Rhym, as he approached the two.

"Excuse me," said Rhym, as polite as he could manage, "but I couldn't help but overhear your conversation. Getting fuel for mechs is a nasty problem, but I happen to own a garage here in Kredi. I can get you fuel at very reasonable prices, and I have garages in many other locations on many different worlds, too. My username is Rhym. Send me a message anytime, or, if you really need fuel right now, you can follow me. So, what'll it be, folks?"

OOC: I hope it's all right for my character to have garages, what with him being a handyman and all. If not, I can just delete this post.

OOC: Man, I guess it's been a while.

IC: Drake was finishing what was left of the opponent's army in the Rhino. It had completley dimoloshied the army, along with Kay's support. The Rhino had no damage counters on it. Drake fired the Buster Cannon, at what SEEMED like the last mech. It exploded in a giant firey ball(That was visible from space LOL). Drake looked around in his mech and he saw nothing. "Whew" he said through his pilot's helmet, "That was a workout" he said.
"Yeah right. You don't even have a scratch"
"He he, I guess you're right Kay. Let's go celebrate"
"How?"
"We'll buy some drinks and stuff."
"Too bad that I can't actually taste them"
"Yeah, but your character is most likely to like it."
"Not really, MY character is watching her figure" said Kay, swinging her hip in Drake's direction, then laughing.
"He he, if you don't, no one else will."
"Shut up Drake. You're such a teaser."
"You know me. Well, let's go celebrate"
"Drake, what's that in the sky?"
"Hmmm?" He said, tilting the mech's head up. He saw that it was another mech. It was actually a Griffin blueprint mech. He wasn't sure if it was a surprised from the enemy. Most of those enemies were actual players. There was never an event planned for this area. He was about to fire at it, until it turned invisible. (He he. A cloaking attachment. It IS true that the cloaking device can completley hide a mech, but converted all the shields power into that cloak. BUT, with my custom made eye shield, I can see such invisible things) Drake took a wire from his eye shield and plugged it into a slot in the Rhino. The Rhinos windshield started to glow green, as Drake looked for the mech. He saw that it was on top of a great brown building. He decided to send a message to the pilot's. He couldn't get through with a communication, so he decided to send a Letter Message. After that, he parked the Rhino and went into the street. Drake didn't worry about the Rhino, since it could only be activated by an access code, that he NEVER told anyone. Not even Kay. Drake and Kay walked around the square, they saw a girl and a boy talking. (My my, what a fine looking girl) thought Drake as he walked up to the girl. "He he, looks like we have a fine looking piece of meat." Drake said, patting the girl on the butt.
"AHHH! YOU PERVE!" said that girl, having her slap Drake as hard as she could on his face. Drake went flying back.
"OW! He he, that probably took down at least half of my HP" Drake said jokingly. He walked up to the girl, still with a red mark from her hand. "Hope there was no hard feelings. I'm Drake and this is Kay."
"I'm Kitten and that's Zisagawa. What were you just trying to pull!"
"Sorry, you must expect that a Tresure Hunter could pass up such a prize."
"Whatever, lecher" she said and walked off, as well as the boy. Kay walked up to Drake and told him,"Man, you're such a flirt"
"Actually, it's just as I said. A Tresure Hunter couldn't pass up such a prize," said Drake as he tossed up two wallets. "I couldn't resist. Took it from them when they didn't look. Should my class be Tresure Hunter or Thief?"
"I'd say both."
"Well, whatever. We might need to get disguises, before they find us." said Drake. They went and got some panchos and some sombreros, since it seemed to be the look of a dessert planet. They started walking around keeping their face covered with the hats.

OOC: HA HA! Kitty, Drake just pickpocketed you.

"Hey.. what happened to that Rhym guy?" Kitten muttered. "Rhym?" "Yeah. He offered to take us to his garage, remember? I forgot he was even there when that asshole pickpocketed me. Too bad for him, that thing was empty. It had a number or two in it, but that was it." "Heh. Mine had a little money in it, but not much," zisagawa added.

"Yeah. I'm going to go back," Kitten said suddenly. "I can take you," he offered. "No thanks. A mech isn't good for travel around town. See you later, then?" "It's okay, I'll go with you. I'll finally be able to see that mech of yours."

The two of them headed off back towards where they had run into Rhym. And, sure enough, he was still there. "Hey!" Kitten called, running towards him, closely followed by zisagawa. "Forgot about me, did ya?" he asked, holding up their wallets. "You.." "Got them back? I noticed him take them long before you two did," he laughed. "Thanks," Kitten muttered, grabbing her wallet from his hand. "I couldn't let such a crime go unpunished, you know. Players like that are a pain in the ass."

"I know what you mean," zisagawa added. The other two turned to him and stared at him for a second. "Well, before we were so rudely interuppted," Rhym chuckled, "I was offering you a choice to stop by my garage, wasn't I?" "Yes, you were. Actually, he got his mech filled up," she said, pointing to zisagawa behind her, "but mine still needs fuel. Could you come with me, then lead me to your garage?" "Sure. I always enjoy accompanying others," Rhym said happily.

Zisagawa stayed silent and sulked after them as they headed back to Gray.

When they reached the "Meteor", Kitten, Rhym and zisagawa saw Gray standing by his lonesome outside the door. "Hey!" Kitten called. "Hey. Who're they?" Gray asked, pulling her aside. "Some new... 'friends'. Where'd Angy go?" "Dunno. I think she saw someone she knew. Hasn't come back yet." "Yeah, well I found a nice place where we can call the Griffyn to without being noticed. And Rhym here," she added, pointing to the player beside her, "has a garage where we can fuel it up."

"Great, lets go." "What about Angy?" "She'll catch up," Gray smiled. Kitten laughed, then ran off, closely followed by the other three, to the unpopulated part of town where they could call the Griffyn.

"Okay I know I passed here before", said Tao as he stood in front of a huge tree. 'Next town I get to I better buy a stupid map' he thought as he started to walk again.

"Supid forest always making me get lost it's just not fair, even in this game I have the worst luck. I mean what did I do to desvere this? C'mon can't anyone tell me!. Not again here comes that stupid tree. I know if I cut down that tree I'll never see it agian", Tao said this with a crazed look on his face.

He took his lance and sliced at it. When that didn't work he tried agian. After a few more hits he was able to cut it down. He looked down at it a said "finally, I never see that tree a gian. Next town I get to I'll not only buy a friggn' map, but a mech too. I should be able to pilot one."

Then he left he took two more lefts and a right. What he saw make him fall down and cry. There was the tree he just cut down. Tao fell down on his knees and slammed his fist on the ground. "Damn you fate", he repeted it several times before he got back up and travled some more.

The Dancer-class was one of Sako's favorite. Dancer mechs were extremly manuverable. They were the most agile mechs around. They weren't able to take as much damage as other classes, but their maneuverability {OOC: Think Zone of the Enders without flight capability} more than made up for it. Dancers couldn't carry as many weapons as other classes, either, and none of the heavyist weapons, which made them ill-suited for taking on larger opponents, but for mech-on-mech combat, they were among the best.

The Arena covered the cost of transporting Sako's and Karalos's mechs to them. Sako's was configured with as much weaponry as possible, while Karalos prefered a bit more defense. Hers could take more damage than Sako's, but Sako's could dish it out better.

After boarding their mechs, Sako and Karalos entered the arena. There was quite an audiance. Many were computer-generated, there to prevent matches from taking place in an empty arena (players normally didn't like fighting in an empty Arena), but many of the spectators were actual players. Bets would be made between them, and some of the CG characters were programmed to gamble, as well.

"We have a challenge match," the anoucer, a CG character, anounced over the loudspeaker. "Melder Sako up against Melder Karalos. The combatants are using Dancer-class mechs, so expect a show! Combatants, prepare for battle!"

When the 'begin' signal sounded, Sako moved fast. He managed to get a couple shots of before Karalos reacted. Once she did, she fired her armor-peircing MGS-D energy machine gun at maximum spread. There weren't many who could escape that unscratched, even among Melders. But Sako was one of the best, and through a complicated and impresive series of twists, flips, and jumps, he managed to avoid damage.

Sako opened up on Karalos. Instead of an MGS-D like Karalos had, Sako favored the MGT-D machine guns. They weren't nearly as powerful as MGS-Ds, but they had a greater spread capability, a slightly faster rate of fire, and were designed to be used in pairs. Karalos took a few shots, but quickly retaliated.

Sako and Karalos moved around the arena, firing whenever they could. Sako was taking less damage that Karalos, but the greater durability of Karalos's mach meant that she could take more damage. The two of them were very evenly matched.

It was Karalos who broke the cycle. She did so by switching weapons. She went from machine gun to EPT-D semi-automatic pistols. These pistols fired explosive rounds, and did a lot more damage than the MGS-D she was using previously. Of course, they were easier to avoid, although they did do some splash damage.

Sako had known that Karalos would switch weapons eventually. She always did. When she did, Sako dropped his machine guns and charged at her. She was taken by surprise, but was able to do a good bit of damage before Sako reached her. Sako slammed his mech into hers, using the opportunity to take her pair of EPT-Ds, which he used to finish her off.

"You made the same mistake you always do," Sako told Karalos after the match. "You think in terms of an actual battle rather than an Arena match. In the Arena, you can afford to take damage, while in a real battle you want to avoid any damage. You just keep thinking 'battle' instead of thinking 'Arena'. remember, damage doesn't matter in an Arena match. Only survival. As long as your mech remains functional, damage doesn't matter in the Arena."

Sako and Karalos left the arena, heading their seperate ways. I have to get back to the Signing facility, Sako thought. I still don't have anything to do rithn now.
