What's your dream job?

Honestly I don't know why I came up with this thread, I know how I came up with it. I was watching Wheel of Fortune and thinking how much money Vanna makes for just touching the screen to make a letter appear on tv. Then I figured it would really be nice to have a job where I made a lot of money by doing so little. She probably made less when the show first started and she had to actually turn the letters...I want that job!

So as the title says, what is your dream job oh and why. I forgot to add why. The job can be as ordinary or of the wall as you want, but give a good reason as to why. Who knows maybe I'll think of a new one later.

I want to be rich when I grow up. (Doesn't anybody?)

But there is one job that if I got, I wouldn't care if I were rich or poor, which is being a movie director. I've loved movies ever since I was born, and the thought of being a movie director and making a great movie takes up much of my daydreaming. I'm constantly thinking of random movie scenes whenever I see something else that triggers the thought, or just envisioning a movies I could make off of an original story I have cooking in my mind. I would die for that job... And getting an Oscar. *melts*

But another job I would love to have is to be an important journalist for a magazine like Newsweek or Time, or a good magazine like that. I'm aiming to get into Columbia University. If I got in I'd scream and rave about it forever, lol. Being a journalist just appeals to me, because I love it when I'm under tight deadlines because I always produce my best work under pressure, and I love organizing things. Dunno, just the idea of being an important journlist is something I like a lot as well.

Last but not least, a famous novelist. :)

The job I want, the one that I am going to go to school for years and years in order to be able to have, is a translator. Specifically for Spanish, French, Japanese, Arabic & English.

The job that I would think is the absolute coolest, and that I would email or call everyone I've ever known if I got, would be one of the artist for Magic: The Gathering cards.

I think I want to be an alchemist.I've been studying some things about looking for what I can find about it.I don't know what it is about alchemy but I want to be an alchemist now.Alchemy seems intresting to me.I've been looking for some pictures of some alchemy.I've found some real pictures and some drawings of alchemy. It's kind of confusing.I'm also trying to look for some pictures of transmutation circles.Like an example or something like that.

My dream job is to become an artist in Japan and draw portraits of Gackt and Hyde and so on. I'd also like to draw manga or work on anime. I have a real talent for art and I plan on moving to Japan. I've always wanted to be an artist.

Other enjoyable jobs I would love to do would be: acting, translating, or photography. I'm into the arts as you can probably tell. I wouldn't mind joining a band either, lol.

By the way, I forgot, what is alchemy exactly?

My dream job would definitely be the writer of an amazing and highly successful book series or comic book series. With the fanbase created by such outrageously good work, there could be conventions and festivals made every year in my honor.
My dream job would be getting paid to do nothing.
Damnit, you beat me to the punch! Geting paid to do nothing would be the greatest job ever.

I think that if I was already wealthy I would review vacation destinations for a travel magazing. That would be a great job. You get to travel and visit the greatest places on Earth, experience different cultures, and take part in different customs.

Wife of a very old heirless man with unlimited funds. When he dies, I get all the money.

Kidding aside, I'd love to be a policewoman. Something must be very wrong with the system when good cops get the low-paying jobs (then again, love of money is the root of evil, ne?). I'd totally revamp the force if they'll let me take the reins.

Love and Peace!

Hmmm, a dream job eh? Well, I think being a fantasy novelist would be totally awesome. Using your creativity to invent whole new worlds and races of people, animals, etc. would be so fun and interesting. You can write about pretty much anything in a book. Plus, I love being able to escape into a really great novel, so writing them for others to do the same would feel pretty good, I think. Although, the idea of having to meet deadlines and stuff is not that appealing. You can't rush the creative process after all, ^_~.

Aside from that, any job that would let me travel all over the world would be great!

this isnt really a dream job, but close enough. im planning to be an actor or one of those voice poeple. (whatever it's late and i cant think, you all get my point and if you dont then never mind) though many adults say i should be a author... right like thatll ever happen. (i write a lot) im in drama right now. its pretty fun but also embarrasing when you do something stupid. cause youve got to talk to your self and all that. at those times i just give up cause i cant talk to my self. it just wont happen no matter what. i would also want to be a singer or some thing. ive been told to have a "beautiful" voice. i did solo emsemble at my school for chorus and i actually got a gold! it was my first time ever, too. i almost died when i heard that i got a gold. im going to do it next year and try to move on to the nations. or whatever its called. well, thats it... not much to it and im hoping that itll happen some day.

Ever since I was little, I dreamed of the sky/space/*insert whatever here* and have always wanted to be some form of Aeronautical*sp* Engineer, or... preferably... I would like to work for Nasa in some way, such as design or testing. I love space, I love planes/jets/whatever, and have anticipated this job since I was about 3 and watched a shuttle take off.

I know I sound like a nerd, which I am by definition, but since then, I have studied on the topics of Aeronautics and wanted a job in that field more an more. I am a science wiz, and have had my fair share of star gazing, and... not much more to say here except... THIS IS MY DREAM JOB!!!!!:twitch:

Being a successful writer would be nice if I could ever finish one of my stories. However, I'm a procrastinator so....

I think I'd also like to be one of those people who announces the lotto numbers on TV. Sure, there's not a lot of money involved, but all you have to do is know how to count from 1 to 52 and you can call the lotto numbers.

EDIT: Then again maybe I want to be the star of my own reality TV show. I'll do weird things like oh...bungee jumping and asking my husband if I'm eating Tuna or chicken. I'll even get my mother-in-law drunk on national teleision every few weeks for a few laughs.

My dream job? Well ever since? I don?t know how long I?ve wanted to be an actress? the first time I acted in a play (besides like class plays) was in fifth grade in the drama club in my school? it was a Whiney the Poo play and I played Roo (and my mother was in third? yea my mom was three years younger than me?). In sixth grade when I finally got to middle school and had the choice between drama chorus orchestra and band I wanted to be in drama, of course my parents had different ideas, and since I have been playing violin since the summer between 2nd and 3rd grades I ended up in orchestra? of course that was torcher(sp?) because we only spent one day a week with the whole orchestra and the other two days (that I had orchestra) was just with the 6th grade (a.k.a. beginning orchestra) I still got to play the all the songs the advanced orchestra played and played 2nd violin (all the beginning

Violinists in 6th grade when they did get to play a song played 3rd violin). There still was one other violinist who had been playing for a while named Andrew so yea? and mark had started violin the summer before so he still got to play all the songs the advanced orchestra played too *has memory of one practice when we were playing the Christmas songs and Mark had to ask what a natural was*. I?m getting waaaaaaay of subject the point is I wanted to be in drama in 6th grade but ended up in orchestra? in 7th grade I finally got to be in drama and was very happy? we had the bestest of the two 7th grade drama classes and when we did the play The Phantom Tollbooth I had the lead role:-D. Of course 7th grade only gets one play and a chapel performance *winces* that didn?t go to well? there were not many major roles in our play? we chose to do The Prodigal Son and we got to right out own script? it was interesting? Jesus wore air force ones and the prodigal son wore a purple pimp suit? if this were not totally off topic I?d post some of the quotes? anyways the day of our chapel performance Robert (who was playing the prodigal son and perfect for the role) was sick and couldn?t come? we were sooooo mad! Brian ended up taking his place and our play would have been awesome play was totally awful. We also did a movie to show to students applying to our school and that was just? lets just say I was happy that I had a small part? this year I am still in drama and will perform our first play, Just So Stories, in January? it seems like a pretty good play and the new drama teacher has lots of really cool stuff (like a fog machine) planned for it? there are just a few problems: 1) The new teacher is awful at casting, my class does the first act and we have a small class enough for everyone to have one part? of course my part, the elephant child, (which is one of the smallest parts in the first act) got cut in half just because Emily didn?t want to sing a solo (elephant child is the only character in the first act who doesn?t have a solo) while the main parts, Eldest Magician and Man, were not, also we don?t even have a camel in our class!! And 2) It?s a musical? I am going to be so embarrassed when me and Stephanie have to get up in front of the whole school and sing ?I was put onto this earth with a personal quest. Something I have to find out if I?m ever to rest?? so yea I am hoping for a bigger part in the next play which is gonna be a Samaria play!!!! Isn?t that awesome?!?! ?I think it was Eric from the other class who suggested that?. Kool!

So yea I love acting:-) also as many people have already said I too would like to write, preferably fantasy. Just being able to make up what ever you want and write it down to share with other people? what fun! I?d also love to write/draw a manga? like that?s ever gonna happen! I love drawing and it is still away to share your stories with other people. I would also love to do something technology related ?preferably computers I love computers and the majority of my free time (that?s not spent reading writing or drawing) is on computers? my dad has a computer related job which I think is very cool, I?d love to learn more about them? I also would want to do a job that lets you travel to different countries (not just different places cause that could be places in the US but different countries) ?I guess my dad?s job seems pretty cool because like I said before it is a computer related job and he gets to travel all over the place (the two main places he goes to are Germany and Korea). So yes? those are some jobs I would like to do? and I can?t help but feel that I am leaving something out? oh yes? I?d like to work on making and designing video games I love video games even though I have no knowledge of them? so yea those are my dream jobs!:-D

Hmmm... photography has always been one of my flaming passions. And although I haven't taken it to a didactic/professionst level so far because my other studies left/leave me with very little time,i definitely plan on changing that this summer, entering Art School, the photography,audio-video editing section. So yeah... being a good photographer is my dream job...not too complicated, not impossible to achieve. It's still a dream for now, though.
