Kira felt the pain... She disliked Rorohikos little trick but she was more unhappy about the mind ability being... disabled... It was her one true way to know if she was in danger or not... It was her one of two ways to comunnicat with someone... Important... and now that was gone. She shook her head and glanced at chez... Her left eye twitched a bit and she went to rub her eyes.

Her eyes went from Red to green in an instand and just as quickly returned to Red. She counted see it happen and didnt feel it. She blinked and took a step forward.

"Finally you can come out my friend!" She said pulling a strange pokeball. Her custom build pokeballs... They were red on top like normal pokeballs but the color was moving. It was like red liquid flowing over the top of the pokeball.

"What is that?" Chez asked...

"A flare ball... built it myself. All my pokemon love them... Most of them are fire types and inside these pokeballs are the perfect enviroments for each pokemon. Flareball go."

She then released the pokemon... It was a creamy color except for its bright red and blue flames... It was a Ponyta. It let out a neigh and nudged Kira who hugged its face. "Yes yes I know... Its been a while but you were simply to large and... well to be honest with you... Far to ... eh.. Hot to be loose in the board room or the elevator."

The ponyta nodded and turned sideways invinting Kira up onto its back. Kira easily leapt up and sat comforatbly on its back unharmed by the flames. She smiled for a moment and then her face went stright. She looked over at rorohiko and thought for a moment... He did seem familiar but where had she seen him before. She shook it out of her mind and looked to Chez.

"Well... Which way are you headed?"

udBy the time they were ready to walk into the elevator Kredion was getting very annoyed by chez?s on going debates on proper pokemon treatment and such. Frankly Kredion at this point would like nothing more then to strangle the life out of the little punk and hang him up to dry. After seeing Rorohiko give chez part of his own medicine in terms of speaking he felt a little better but still had a strong urge to whack him hard.

As they exited the elevator Kredion he noticed Rorohiko attempt to chuck a chunk of rock at the back of chez?s head. Things were off to a rocky start but at least they had started. Rorohiko finished his talk and then Kredion spilt off form the rest of the trainers and headed down a very dark passage way after a while Kredion decided to turn on his wrist light so that he could see if any traps where in these passageways. After a hour or so of walking thru the tunnel Kredion decided to let one of his pokemon out so that it could keep him some company pulling a pokeball off his belt Kredion tossed it on the floor and a blinding flash went off and a small Eevee was in the place of the flash.

Kredion: hello Eevee it is nice to see you again. If you don?t mind using ember so we can see then we can keep going till we find a larger room to spend the night in.

Eevee: ee vee (very well stand back don?t wanna burn you)

Taking a step back Kredion watched as the flare of light was born from the ember then he noticed something on the wall a strange letter that look very familiar. Suddenly it hit him it was the same writing as the ancient ruins on his island. This was very interesting indeed.

OOC: I'm posting so if I don't please don't think that I've quit, it's probably the time differences or I don't have the time to.

Aria stepped out of the elevator and tucked her palm computer back into one of her pockets and looked around. Several others had already released their pokemon and had gone off. Aria got out two of her pokeballs and held one in each hand.

"Come on out." she whispered.

The balls opened and in beams of silver light, two pokemon appeared and stood before her.

"Um, Umbreon."
"Espeon." the pokemon called, stretching.

"We're finally at the Expedition, let's go hunting." she said, taking out her palm computer again and starting to take notes on the area, drawing the beginning of a map.

Aria saw Rorohiko up ahead and ran to catch up with him. Umbreon and Espeon followed her.

Aria drew up beside the boy and walked at the same pace as him, Umbreon and Espeon walked beside her too.

"Hi, do you mind if we come along with you?" she asked him.

OOC: Sorry for the length, hope you don't mind Takuya, PM me if you want it changed or something.

Chez was a little confused on where to go because there were many tunnels to take. However, he liked to fly alone or with someone who was more worth than they were trouble. Kira wasn't ALL bad but for the matter of trusting her, pretty much, that was the only issue; she seemed to have more guts than anyone. Plus, Chez had a thing for fire pokemon and her Ponyta wasn't a bad looking one.

"I'll be heading over there, the tunnel right to the left where the jackass just went in. I think you may want to stick with me because I know how to find wild pokemon, plus, my pokemon can wild any wild types out there with a snap. Take this pokemon for example..." Chez reached into his pokeball belt and pulled out a large pokeball, which was more than likely an ultra ball and tossed it. Out came a very large Ursaring who seemed to be larger than most of its kind; the more aged and more experienced the pokemon gets, the more it tends to grow.

"I bet you're wondering how in the world would an Ursaring help us with this one. Well, its very simple. My Ursaring has a great nose and by its very nature, it's a hunter. If anyone pokemon can find wild pokemon, it's my big buddy here. Alright Ursaring, do your stuff..." With that, the bear pokemon used its nose and natural hunting ability to track down any scent of a pokemon that was unknown....it would take a sec...AND WE'RE OFF! Ursaring got a scent and it started grunted and roaring a little as it took off into the tunnel.

"Come on! Ursaring has something!" Chez yelled as he followed his pokemon.

Kira felt odd... She didnt like humans and this one seemed a bit over confident... She figured she would go off on her own but as her eyes changed color again from red to green then green to red again she changed her mind. She would follow this guy for a while. But some of her thoughs stayed on Rorohiko... She couldnt help but sense she had met him before.. but where.

This is far to strange... I cant remember where I met him before and he seemed to not remember my face... Uh ever since the accident I cant remember much that went on beforehand.

Kira shook the thought off and kept the same emotionless face. She nodded to her Ponyta who began to follow Chez and his Ursaring.

"Ask me any question you like... But I do not promise an answer for all of them..." Kira said putting her hair behind her ears. This was going to be interesting...

"Any question I want? Oh...uh...not sure about all that. I hate to get into other people's business because I myself don't like nosey people. Anyways, I don't know what Ursaring has a hold of but I'm guessing it has to be something new that it hasn't smelled before. Well uh...I should start with telling you something about myself. At least then it wouldn't be just one sided information", Chez smiled for the first time and actually meant to do it in a non-hostile way.

"I always wanted to be a gym leader, maybe even the Vermillion gym leader. I take it that a large sum of pokemon trainers have been to Vermillion as it is a well known city. Ol' Lieutenant Surge used to battle me all the time and he'd always win, that is, until I bring in my Raichu, then I'd give him a run for his money. I can't become a gym leader until I reach my personal goal of becoming the world champion...I'm not good enough. I'll probably never be good enough. My mom is 10 times the trainer that I am and even she coudln't reach that goal. To be honest, I talk a big talk but I can't walk the walk. I'm not as tough as I try to make myself seem. I've lost more battles than you think. I'm sure you've heard of me, I'm sure you've heard all these glamourous stories about me and my battles but most of them are lies. I never defeated 200 pokemon trainers in a row, that was more like 117 trainers. I never caught the legendary Mew and I don't even know where that rumor came from. Hell, I didn't even battle Suicune like some people try to make it out to be. To be truthful, I'm like any other trainer only that I'm better than the average one..." Now, this was the honest side of Chez.

"I know you don't like me and that's okay. But if you do judge me, judge me based off how I really am. Don't judge me based off what you heard like that other guy did. As I just told you, most of the stuff you probably heard are nothing more than lies...enough about me. How's about you? What's your story?"

Kira thought for a moment, "When I was fourteen I set the Orphanage shed on fire... It had a few gas tanks inside and a few lawn mowers so within moments it exploded. I hit my head on a rock... So I dont remember anything before the blow... When I was fifteen the lady in charge of the orphanage handed me a pokeball and told me to leave... To much damage had been caused by me... Obsession with fire. So I took the pokemon and left."

Kira blinked and got off of ponyta's back. She held up ponytas pokeball the pokemon returned. Kira walked along for a bit in silence.

"You know Im blind in one eye right? Yeah... I cant see out of my left eye. Plain and simple. The explosion I guess did something or perhaps after I hit my head the problem slowly came up. Truth be told... I havent a clue why I cant see in that eye and I dont care... My sense of smell and hearing are more acute though. Which is how I can sneak here or there and not get caught."

Kira let out a sigh, "You are probably wondering why I Hate people so much if thats all thats in my past... Well im not finished. A group of trainers ganged up on me one time and beat me up... Pretty much to the point that if they had gone much longer I wouldnt be standing here. I was in the middle of the forest an un able to walk to well. My Growlithe dragged me to a safe spot and watched over me. I didnt like those trainers and how they treated their pokemon... I bonded with my pokemon that night."

Kira glanced at Chez ... her face still pretty emotionless.

"I took a trip to an island where a chain of caves were found. An underground forest thrived there too. Two pokemon... Like solrock and lunatone... There was a solar pokemon that gave the trees the light they needed and a lunar pokemon that gave it the water and nutrients. By this forest was a bunch of ruins. I was checking them out when I was Attacked by a pokemon... I had never seen it before... Another pokemon... a very old pokemon fought it and he told me to capture that pokemon... so I did."

Kira pointed to the black pokeball hanging from her neck, "The pokemon that fought it then did something that changed the attacker into another type... Shadow Digadon...Of course before effect by the elder pokemon he was a regular Digadon...Anyways Ever since then He and I... havent liked humans much. Its hard to explain."

Kira stopped walking, "To survive I had to go to a life of stealing things... then selling them for money.. Or acting like I found the item and collecting the reward... Depends on where I was. Anyways... nothing much more Ill tell you. Some of it is missing... But like i said I cant remember some of it... I wish I could but I cant." Kira takes a deep breath.

"To tell you the truth... My past isnt that horrible... I sappose others have had it worse than myself. Thought If I could remember all of my past then... perhaps id have a reason to be the way I am. Heh Go figure."

Chez scratched his head; he still didn't get why she was so angry with people. It was like being a baseball player who hated baseball; it seemed to be out of place. Yes, humans have done her wrong but the part that he simply didn't get was the fact that she disliked humans.

"Wait, wait...I don't get something. Didn't a pokemon attack you too? Why don't you hate pokemon then? Why don't you hate everything? People are going to do you wrong no matter where you go, no matter what you do. That's no reason to be mad at everyone over it. I wouldn't treat you like that...although, you'd probably do the same to me or worse just because of what some jerks decided to do to you. That's how its been for the most part in my life. I've been nothing but a label. You see, the Gonzales family aren't exactly the most noble of people. My family has done wrong by pokemon for centuries now and probably even further back than I think. They were poachers and pokemon tamers. No, not trainers but TAMERS, they used pokemon as slaves to do their bidding whenever they wanted and treated them like crap. Don't tell anyone that though because it's a secret that I don't want getting out", Chez requested, feeling a bit ashamed for even being related to those horrible, horrible people.

"I wish you would give me a chance. I'm not as bad as you seem to think that I am...Ursaring has something!" Chez exclaimed as Ursaring started roaring to show that it had something new.

The tunnel was connected to an in cave stream that ran right in the middle of the tunnel path way. Fortunately, there was a bridge connecting the two sides of the tunnel pathway together. Ursaring stood at the foot of the rope bridge where it was staring down a strange looking creature. It looked like another Ursaring!

"Whoa! What a chance of a lifetime! I could battle my Ursaring against that one and beat it! That'll gain my Ursaring some good experience!" Chez was so happy now but he wouldn't be so happy after he found out that the pokemon he was looking at wasn't an Ursaring.

"Grizblur! GRIZ! GRIZ! BLUR! BLUR!" That was the cry of the strange creature.

Chez took a closer look and found out that while it may have LOOKED like an Ursaring, it was way different. It was almost yellow in color, its ears were longer, almost like a Pikachu's and instead of the large circle on its stomach, it had the symbol of the sun on its stomach. It was an electric and normal type pokemon.

"What the heck is that?! That's not an Ursaring! No matter! Go Ursaring! Use your slash attack now!" Chez commanded as Ursaring ran across the rope bridge and charged towards the new pokemon with its claws extended. Ursaring went for the large slash but something strange happened. The new pokemon flared up its electrical powers and made a large barrier. Ursaring smashed right into the electrical barrier and went flying away from the rope bridge and back towards the hard, rocky ground.

"Ursaring!" Chez yelled as he rushed to his pokemon's side. "Are you okay?"

"You can come with me if you want to," Rorohiko told Aria. "I can't stop you from choosing this direction. You can help me out if you want to, but you have work by my rules. Otherwise, we're just two people going in the same direction."

"What are your rules?" Aria asked, curious.

"'Rules' is probably the wrong word," Rorohiko replied, "but I don't know a better one. Anyways, I work a certain way. Either you deal with it, or you don't work with me. Oh, and if you can't keep up, I leave you behind.

"Now, on to the rules I work by. First rule: everything is important. Examine everything, because the most insignificant thing could be what you're looking for. Second rule: keep a record of everything. Normally I use my laptop, but for this, I have one of those recording devices we were all given.

"Rule three: assume that you're always in danger. Rule four: if something doesn't look right, it isn't. Rule five: if someone isn't telling you everything, assume that that person is a threat. Rule six: you can never be too cautious.

"Rule seven: never rush through anything, because rushing means a greater chance that you'll miss something important or make a mistake. Rule eight: expect everything to go wrong, because you'll be more prepared if something does go wrong. And rule nine: know everything that has even an impossibly small chance of being relevant to a situation. That one's the most important, by far. Knowledge will save you more than anything else."

"You seem to think someone's out to get you," Aria noted. "Why?"

"Because some people are out to get me. There's a religious cult that hates me. I'm sure they have a name, but I don't know it. They function more like a terrorist organization than anything else. Most of them are incompetent, but they're still very dangerous if you aren't prepared."

"Why are they after you?"

"Because they believe me to be an 'active and willing ally of Satan'. See, I'm doing research on Absol. Long story short, they believe that Absol and several other Pokemon were created by Satan. Beause I refused to give up my research, they're trying to kill me. So, if you stay with me, be prepared to have your life threatened.

"Yes, I'm aware that the only known entrance to the Network has incredibly tight security, but that won't stop Victor Trolmont. He's about the only member of the cult who knows what he's doing. I have no doubt that he'll find a way to get into the Network. He won't be able to resist exploring this place, just in case there's something in here that would be useful to the cult. Trust me, he'll show up. He always does."

Joy closed her eyes and randomly picked a Pokeball from her belt and threw it out. When she opened her eyes she only saw a shadow. "Ghastly." She said simply. "Hold on there, big guy. I'll get Ponyta out so we can have some natural light." Joy said cheerfully. As she threw the next Pokeball, revealing a flamed-horse Pokemon, Joy turned to the elevator. "Say, Rin, would you like to come with me? I'm going to follow my Ghastly, since he's always got a great sense of direction. Especially in the dark." She offered.

Rin nodded, half hesitantly, and the two started to walk behind the translucent ghost pokemon and the Ponyta. "So, Rin. Where are you from?" Joy asked after a few moments of silence while they were walking. "Lavaridge." Rin replied simply, looking around. "Can't your Ponyta give off a little more light? I can barely see!" Joy frowned and shook her head. "She can, but I'd prefer her not to. I know it's a drag, but I don't want to startle any of the wild Pokemon. If we use a flashlight or something, they will run off, afraid of a new predator. But, I think, if we use a soft flame from another Pokemon, they reveal themselves, and we can get some data on them."

Rin nodded, and didn't copmlain about the light. "You'd make a good Nurse, you know. Why did you ever want to become a Pokemon Breeder?" She asked curiously. Joy shrugged. "Well, it's just that I dislike seeing hurt and injured Pokemon, and they are common sites when you live just outside Victory Road. I guess I'm weak at heart, and so I could never stand to see something like a Pokemon battle. And that rules out the possibility of me being a Trainer or a Nurse.

"I just wanted to watch Pokemon grow in happiness. It sounds corny, but still, isn't it what we all want? To live in happiness? Well, I just tried my best to do just that." Joy's voice was seemingly calm, but she was being torn apart on the inside. "Hey, look at the walls. They have some writting on them." Rin finally said, pointing to the side of the wall.

Kira watched as the brizblur sent ursaring flying. She knew this to be the perfect chance to let someone out for fresh air.

"Like I told you Chez... If i could remember everything Im sure id have the reason... but unfortunatly ever since my trip to the island i havent... Nevermind... Digadon Go!"

The black pokeball went into the air and in a flash of red orange light a pokemon formed on the ground. it didnt even stand up to three and a half feet. Its hands were shaped like shovels and its tail and head looked almost exactly as mews.... It was a purple and crimson color. It opened its mouth and showed its teeth which were perfect for chewing rocks.

"Hes Electric buddy... Have at it!" Kira said pointing at the Grizblur pokemon.

The red eyed Digadon vanished and appeared next to the new pokemon. The pokemon put up the barrier again but it wasnt going to work... Digadon stepped right through. He took his large shovel hands and slammed them into the pokemon's head. They began to fight physicaly for a bit.

Kira took out her items and put the information into the pokedex item and took notes of her own. She put its type and name in and it asked for information as to what its like. Like when they say a rattata are found almost everywhere and are known for their bite... it wanted similar information.

Kira watched as it fought her Digadon. She put in that the had good physical attack and a powerful electrical berrier move. Kira then looked at the battle. Digadon had lowerd its energy enough to get rid of the barrier.

"Digadon... SD... Use Ground Force."

Digadon took note of the command and turned around. He slammed his hands into the ground and a rock flew up from the ground.... It was a large boulder and it was flying through the air quickly. Digadon sent it right into the other pokemon and it went flying backwards.... It stood up slowly and growled.

"Now give him a simple dose of Dark Burst!"

Digadon began to glow dark black and he sent an electric like blask of dark energy that sent the pokemon into the rock wall again. Digadon did it once more and the pokemon was to dizzy and tired to put up much more of a fight.

"Return SD..." Kira said and the pokemon returned to its pokeball. Kira looked at Chez and his Ursaring.

Kira turned to chez putting the black pokeball back on its chain and it went back to being around her neck. "Are you two alright?"

OOC: Sorry for not posting! I was on an airplane from midnight to 4 AM yesterday, and I only just now got a chance to go on the internet. I'm surprised this got to four pages already, though. >.>;;

"What does it say?" "How should I know?" Rin replied, scratching her head. Joy led her Ponyta closer to the walls to illuminate them better. Sure enough, there was quite a bit of writing. Most was in a strange language, but some was in "Unown".

"Can you read this?" Joy asked Rin, pointing to the Unown writing. "Yeah, why?" "Read it!" "Fine, fine," she sighed, walking over and examining carefully. "Well that's stupid," Rin stated suddenly. "What do you mean?" Joy cried. "It's badly written. I can make out words, but not sentences." "Oh.. Well, what are the words?"

"Caves, changing, wind, traitor, and.. mew? Why does it say Mew?" Rin thought aloud.

"You sure?" Joy questioned. "Yes I'm sure," Rin muttered. Wind... Do they mean the wind helped form the caves? But if light can't make it down here, wind surely can't. Unless.. it could come from a pokemon. But I haven't.. Rin turned to Joy. "You feel any wind?"

"No." "Didn't think so." "Why?" "Just an idea. Let's move on," Rin suggested. But before they continued, she released her Absol. "You have an Absol? Why didn't you tell Rorohiko?" "I don't trust him. Hell, I don't trust anyone. You just happened to talk to me first," Rin laughed. Joy seemed disappointed. "Oh.." she muttered.

"Don't be so shocked. Do you trust me?" "Come to think of it.. not really." "See? There you go. It's nothing personal," Rin explained, beginning to walk off with Absol beside her. Hearing this, Joy seemed to perk up a bit and chased after her teamate.

((OOC: Its been confirmed. I know I'll be gone all next week because of the Christmas break and because I found out that I have yet another tradgedy to deal with. I apologize any complications this may cause.))

Chez lowered his head in defeat, his Ursaring was dominated in one slight barrier. What Chez didn't understand was that the Grizblur was using a new type of attacked called Shockwave Barrier which made a barrier and yet, at the same time, if any pokemon touches it they become paralyzed. Ursaring slowly recovered though, it was only slightly paralyzed and Chez made sure it was fully healed.

"Use rest and take a nap for right now Ursaring. I want to give you a full heal potion but for right now, we should save all our potions until we get out of here. I'm sorry buddy, I made a bad judgement call..." Chez said lowly, still ashamed of himself.

Ursaring laid back and went to sleep as Chez returned it to its pokeball. "I...thank you. I thought you honestly didn't care, that you hated me and that I'd never get a chance to see your good side but I guess I was wrong. I'm wrong of doing exactly what I accused you of doing; not giving me a chance. I...I guess we're a team now huh? That's good. At least now we can talk to each other about some others things and not be so shy with each other", Chez said as he smiled at her.

The Grizblur staggered but finally fell out. Whatever that Digadon pokemon was it sure could kick some serious. Kira could be proud because her Digadon did what a championship pokemon like Chezral's Ursaring couldn't do; knock Grizblur out.

Chez reached out and held Kira by the hand. "Well, come on, lets get moving. With any luck, we'll find more pokemon. As for that one, you shouldn't have been so rough, it fainted. I take it these pokemon are common because of the fact that Ursaring was able to get on its trail so easily so of course we'll have a whole lot of chances to catch one of them. Lets move on though. I'll use Raichu to do some tracking, with luck, I bet he could find some pokemon. Alright old buddy, do your thing."

Raichu stepped out in front of Chez and used its nose. Now, Raichu aren't known to be trackers but they did have a much better sense of smell than humans did. Raichu wasn't only smelling things though, it was listening and using a much more accurate sense of hearing; now that they were known for. He quickly caught on to something and moved past the rope bridge. Chez pulled Kira along, not in a grudging way but almost a...loving....way. What was going on here? Was Chezral Gonzales becoming attached to someone?

"I think he has something! I know my Raichu and he has never let me down before." Raichu didn't let him down either. The two of them came to a large area in the tunnel that seemed to carved right in the middle of the tunnel itself; it was a nesting ground. A large group of pokemon lived in this area. These were new types though. They looked like Vulpix only that they didn't have those rolled up tails or fancy fur styles. They were were more slick like a normal fox, they had tails that were long in the base but curved at the tip like Raichu's, they had blue, shiny fur and they seemed to be really peaceful pokemon.

They came in different shapes and sizes, some were larger than others, while some were only infants. Now, the moment Kira and Chez showed up the new pokemon seemed to be stirred with excitement; that's understandable as they probably never saw a human being before. One of them seemed to be one of the younger types and it was more curious than some. It inched its way over to Kira and sat down in front of her.

"Sprix!" It exclaimed in a small, innocent and cute voice. Most pokemon could only speak what they names were; example: Geodude can only say "Geodude." These must've been called Sprix.

Aria just looked at him, and nodded.

"Those rules are pretty simple, I go by most of them do, many of them are rules of a researcher, which I am." she stated.

Umbreon and Espeon also made noises of agreement.

"Do you have any plans on how to find some pokemon around here?" Aria asked, drawing a bit more on her map.

"You know they did give us maps." Rorohiko said, looking at what she was doing.

"I know that, thank you. I'd just rather draw my own, one with more detail." she said, showing him some detailed maps and drawings.

"You didn't answer my question you know."

"What?"

"'Do you have any plans on how to find some pokemon?'"

"Perhaps, what about you?" Rorohiko questioned.

"I do actually. Espeon, Psychic Scan. Umbreon, Seek." she said to her two pokemon.

They both nodded their heads and Espeon's jewel on her forehead began to glow brightly, and Umbreon's rings started to glow. Then Espeon indicated forward, and Umbreon ran ahead. Aria ran after her pokemon and found a new type of pokemon of pokemon with Umbreon growling at it.

Kira wasnt used to being pulled along by anyone but she decided not to argue. When the Sprix was in front of her she took a photo and put some info into the ppokedex thing. She blinked at it and it blinked back.

"You know chez I have a good tracking pokemon myself... Pyro... My Growlithe."

Kira looked back at the sprix and reached into her pocket for a small pokemon snack. She held out the snack... The small pokemon eased towards her a bit more and took the treat. After licking it a few times it quickly ate it. It eased forward towards Kira again and sat down close enough for kira to touch it. Kira stretched out her arm and barely touched pokemon on the head and it jumped. The pokemon scurried off but slowly came back.

"Clearly not all of them are afraid of humans... No humans down here to be a threat... So they dont think they have anything to be afriad of... At least this little one seems to act that way... a bit jumpy but aside from that... they are quite sweet natured things." Kira glanced at the playful pokemon and got a sudden flash back of a little girls face...

Kira stood up and glanced around... She glanced at Chez..

"Im sorry but I have to be alone for a bit. Ill return sooner or later." With that Kira tapped the black pokeball hanging from her neck and she suddenly dissapered from sight... Though footsteps could be heard... Kira could not be seen.

OOC:

Ill go into the flash back later.. but i gotta go to sleep.

Chez sighed, there goes his company and just when he thought he was getting somewhere with her. He turned as she seemingly disappeared. Even Raichu seemed to be unhappy when she left.

"Wherever you are, thanks for the time you did give me...sorry Raichu, I guess girls just like to avoid me or something."

The Sprix seemed to be unnerved by something. The older of them snatched up the youngest of the pack and moved out of the area as fast as they could. They had the right idea though, what came out of the clearing in the tunnel was a good reason to leave. It was no bigger than Raichu but it was the Sprix's natural enemy and a pokemon that would eat them. The pokemon was of course, as mentioned before, Raichu's size, it's fur was mostly white though starting at its forehead, it had streaks of read coming back all the way to its tail though the streaks never touch its underbelly or face, its face is half white and the other side of its face is red with war paint-like features, it had stubby but sharp black claws and sharp teeth; basically, a lesser hairy Sandlash with red streaks and a lot of white fur.

"Grendox! GRENDOX!" The pokemon hollered, thinking that Raichu and Chezral had warned the Sprix about it coming when in fact they didn't. This was a Grendox, the furry slasher pokemon, it was moslty a normal type but it did have fire and ground characteristics. It seemed to be calling Raichu out in anger. Raichu seemed more than happy to ablidge this new pokemon.

"Be careful Raichu, you know what happened to Ursaring, we don't know what to expect. Use your speed and use your battle skills to put it down for me. Alright, GO! Use agility then double edge!" Raichu nodded as it bent down on all fours and charged at Grendox. The new type didn't even move an inch, Chez found that suspicious and since Ursaring was put down with a barrier already, he went with a different instruction. "Raichu! Forget the double edge, use your agility and run a huge semi circle around Grendox then stop right there!"

Raichu stopped right in front of Grendox just as soon as it was about to use an attack and Raichu ran a whole half circle around Grendox and stopped.

As Umbreon and the new Pokemon battled, Rorohiko turned to Aria. "To answer your question, I have no desire to catch any Pokemon here, so I haven't been thinking of ways to find them. I'm here for one reason, and one reason only. The answers I'm looking for can be anywhere, including somewhere in the Network. I'm here to look for them.

"Now, on a different note, I want your oppinions on Chez. See, in addition to the main rules, there are other things I've learned. One is to know everything you can about those who are hostile to you. True, if someone good enough is after you and hates you, he or she will be able to hide that hatred. Most people aren't that good, which is why anyone who expresses a dislike of you is a danger until prooven not to be one. So I want to know what you think of Chez."

"I think he's not what people think he is," Aria replied. "I've heard the rumors."

"So have I. I was curious, so I looked up the facts. My dad's a big shot in a government organization, and he got Chez's profile for me. What people say about his training methods is pretty accurate, but the rest isn't. Chez never won 200 battles in a row, for one thing. He won 117, and many of them were against newer, inexperianced trainers."

"I'm assuming he didn't actually catch Mew."

"I never heard that one," Rrohiko replied. "There was nothing about that in his profile, though. I did hear the one about him battling Suicune, and that's also a load of bullshit."

"Personally, I think-"

Rorohiko cut her off. "Hold it." He had seen something out of the corner of his eye, and he walked over to it. It was a stone tablet with writing on it. Aria left Umbreon on its own, with Espeon nearby to provide bacup if necessary, and walked over to Rorohiko. She looked at the tablet. "I've never seen writing like that before," she remarked.

"I have," Rorohiko said. "I have a translation algorithim in my laptop. Hold on."

Rorohiko took off his pack and set in on the ground. He removed his laptop, set it on the ground, and turned it on. While it was booting up, Rorohiko examined his recording device, the one every Expedition member was given before entering the Network. "I can work with that shape," he said to himself after he located a slot on it. He took a box out of his pack, removed a certain cable from it, and plugged one end of the cable into the slot. He plugged the other end into his laptop.

Rorohiko took the recorder and passed it over the tablet. "I'm transferring the recording of the tablet to my laptop," he explained. "I knew that this recorder would have a cable slot of some kind, because if it's not plugged into something, the recording it made can't be accessed. fortunatly, I keep about ten zillion cables with me, and I have one that's compatable with the recorder. So I used it. The recorder records everything. I'm transferring its recording of the tablet to my laptop, where I'll run my translation algorithim on the text." And he did just that. The translated text appeared on the screen.

The world is changing. From the caves we came, to them we returned. The wind blows still, but it is not ours anymore. By the Changer's grace, we were saved from the changes that were not his. The Traitor challenged him, and he was forced under with us. The Traitor will return to finish what it started, but the circumstances will be changed. Change favors the Changer.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Aria wondered.

"Good question," Rorohiko said. "I don't know." Rorohiko looked up, and noticed that Umbreon's battle with the new Pokemon appeared to be over. "I think Umbreon's battle is done," he said.

Chez smiled as Raichu already had the upper hand in the battle; speed. Grendox was obviously strong if a whole pack of Sprix ran away from it and it was a lone pokemon. Strength couldn't outmatch speed and experience though and even in its old years, Raichu was still incredibly fast. Grendox seemed to be at a lost on what to do against an opponent that had its number.

"GrrrreeeenDOX!" It yelled in anger as Raichu continued to use its agility and went behind it. Grendox jumped up and turned around, opening its mouth and releasing a new attack that Chez had never seen before; the flame arrow. A huge blast of fire erupted from its mouth and a concentrated blast of fire came flying at Raichu in the shape of an arrow; this was Grendox's special attack. Raichu evaded the attack very easily with yet another agility attack; the flame arrow only had a 65% accuracy and against an opponent like Raichu it wouldn't hit very often. The after effects of flame arrow was obvious as Chez looked at the spot that the attack landed and boy, if Raichu got hit, it was all over. The rocks that the arrow had struck were melted like lava.

"Whoa! Talk about attack strength! I don't think I've ever seen a fire pokemon quite like that one before. Its still no match for my Raichu. Go Raichu, charge it directly! I know that may sound crazy with the kind of strength it has but do it anyways, I have a plan..." Chez commanded. Raichu wasn't an idiot, it thought for itself for the most part though it did in fact trust Chez because his way of battling normally worked. Raichu used its agility once again and charged at Grendox head on, like a football player. Grendox opened its mouth again and launched another flame arrow.

"Alright Raichu! Jump over that flaming arrow and give it a thunderwave!" Raichu did just that, it bunny hopped right over the oncoming fire attack and while it was still in mid air, it sent a paralyzing thunder wave to Grendox and managed to immobolize the fire pokemon. Raichu landed and then, it went off its own battle instincts and gave Grendox a thunderbolt, sending a whole bunch of electrical energy through Grendox's body. By this time, Grendox had been severly weakened.

Chez pulled out a pokeball, he didn't really want to catch this pokemon though, since this was a good chance to get a pokemon with some amazing strength, he'd go for it. "Pokeball go!" Chez yelled as he threw a fastball with the capturing device, hurling it at Grendox. The ball smacked the fire pokemon upside its head and engulfed it inside. The ball landed on the ground and shook violently; the Grendox didn't want to be captured and so it put up a good struggle. Though, its efforts were in vain as a loud "DING!" was heard; Grendox had been captured.

"We did it Raichu!" Chez exclaimed as he ran to pick up the pokeball and his new pokemon. "I caught one of them, finally! This is Grendox eh? Well Grendox, welcome to the team."

"Sprix! SPRIX SPRIX!" A lone Sprix came out of hiding; it had been hiding behind a large boulder and watching the whole battle.

Chez turned around and saw that it was the same Sprix that approached him and Kira the first time. He bent down and reached over to pet it. This time around, the Sprix didn't seem to mind human interaction. "Now see there, we humans aren't so bad now are we? You're a nice fella. Where's your family?" Chez asked.

The Sprix lowered its head; it got left behind. Most of the Sprix were on the move now and since this was a young one, it simply wouldn't have the speed to catch up with its family; it was all alone. Chez didn't have the heart to try to catch it and since it was young, having Raichu to beat it up wouldn't be a hard task. For now though, he scooped the crystal vixen pokemon up into his arms and hugged it. "You're coming along with me little guy. I can't leave you here all alone. I won't capture you so don't worry and Grendox won't hurt you and I'll see to it that he doesn't. I'll take you along with me and if you want me to capture you then I will. For now though, lets just move along..."

As they walked on, Rin focused on the writing she had seen. She knew her recorder had recorded all of it, but she didn't know how to access it. If she wanted to review it, she'd either have to walk back or borrow someone's computer. I'm getting ahead of myself. The text probably was some kind of warning of booby traps. Or one of those stupid prophecy things, she thought.

"Rin!" Joy shouted. Rin spun around in her place, taking a fighting stance and grabbing one of her pokeballs. Absol was growling, and Ghastly's tail was flaring. Ponyta was backing against Joy as if to protect her.

"What is it?" Joy wondered, her face full of glee. "A new pokemon." "I know that, but what new pokemon?" Joy retorted. "Quiet. It will tell us," Rin suggested, kneeling down and putting her hand on Absol's head.

"... Well?" "You aren't very patient, are you?" Rin asked in a dull tone, still concentrating on the small creature. Joy bit her lip, turning from Rin to the pokemon. "Skoshi!" "It's a Skoshi?" Rin took her pokedex and analyzed the small, purple creature.

It was a small purple ball with a long ears that perked up everytime a little noise was made. Its tail was short with a small point on the end. Its eyes were small and its stubby arms barely reached the pink circle on its belly. It had no legs and its feet were small purple ovals attached to the circular body.

"It's cute!" Joy said, holding out her hand to it. It came over and sniffed it, then let out a sneeze which sent it rolling back into the wall. "Aww.." "You want to catch it? Or can I?" Rin asked. "Catch it? .. Oh!" As Joy went through her pack for a ball, Rin had one ready and sent it at the pokemon. It let out a squeal as the ball hit it and it was sent inside with a red flash. The ball rocked for a few moments, then settled. "Hey!" Joy cried. "I was gonna catch it.."

"You took too long."

Rin went to pick up the ball, but it disappeared. "Oh yeah. I've got a full party." She wondered if it would enjoy the PC Box, though she doubted it. "Well, lets move on," Rin instructed, walking off again. Joy cursed her under her breath, then followed.

Kira had not actually left... She made it seem as though she left and she watched the entire battle as it went on. She then watched as Chez picked up and hugged the little pokemon... She decided to go ahead of him... She ran past him... still unseeable. She ran up ahead into another room. She came to a slow walk as she came into the room. Chez was a way behind so she didnt even turn to make sure he wasnt to close.

She walked up to a small shimmering pool of water with a boulder next to it. Surrounded by dirt this pool of water was crystal clear and clean... Kira glanced around the room and noticed the light that reflecting off the water sent shimmering strands of light all across the room. Kira sat down on the boulder and stared into the water. With her chin in her hands and her elbows on her knee she saw the little girls face again...

It looked alot like kira... Her hair was longer and she was shorter and younger. She was laughing and talking to Kira. Kira sensed she must have known who it was but couldnt think of anything to fill the blank. She tapped the black pokeball and she became visible. Her reflection appeared in the water and she stared back at herself...

Her eyes changed again... Red green red... She shook her head and sighed.

Why does it do that... I dont understand... And who is that girl? Why cant I remember things...

She thought to herself. She took a deep breath and let out a large sigh. She closed her eyes and sat there on the boulder. She could hear Chez's footsteps getting closer but didnt care much. She got down on the ground and sat on her knees... She looked down at her reflection and stared at it again...

Why am I like this... Why...

Kira heard Chez's footsteps just around the corner that brought the tunnel to the room she was in now. She narrowed her eyes and lifted her fist. She hit the water with her hand as if to erase the picture she saw. As she hit the water she let out a bit of a growl. She then curled into a ball and sat against the rock wall next to the water.

((OOC: Tonight was a VERY rough night for me. I coach a little girl's basketball team from grades 6 through 8 and we won the game but the referees were crap. I'll give you an example of the crap that went on tonight. This one girl on our team was LITERALLY punched in the eye and had a fist mark on her eye. She was out cold for 30 minutes and you're meaning to tell me that's not a foul?! The boys and girls played tonight though. One of our boys caught the ball and got pushed out of bounds and the referees were saying that it was out on us. HOW?! On top of that, I ask the referees why they weren't calling everything and do you know what one of them had the nerve to tell me?! "It's not our job to call all the fouls..." Then whose job is it?! Anyways, that has nothing to do with this post but it does explain where I've been for the past hours.))

Chez frowned when he looked at the pokeball containing Grendox; he knew that keeping Sprix and Grendox around had to be trouble. Though, for the time remaining aside from the time he had to travel, he pulled out his Pokenav and added the new entries. Chez was a much more advanced trainer than most because of the equipment he carried. He pulled out a USB cable and connected it to the laptop given to him then transfered the data over, that way, he could save some valuable time. He smiled again and sat Sprix down next to Raichu. The two pokemon seemed to get along very well and for now, Sprix seemed to really want to join Chez.

It pulled at his jeans and looked up at him. "I think I know what you're trying to say. Here, I won't force you to do anything Sprix, I'll let you do it yourself. First though, I'll have to transfer one pokemon out, this will be simple though." Chez reached into his backpack as he kneeled to the ground. He pulled out a small adapter that had a circular groove in it; a pokeball could fit perfectly into the crater in it. Chez reached up and grabbed Manectric's pokeball and pujt it on the adapter. Then, with the same USB cable, he hooked it up to the Pokenav and teleported Manectric away. "See ya buddy, until next time.." Most would say thjis is pretty advanced technology when it isn't; it's pretty old. It's the same method where if a trainer catches more than 6 pokemon, their pokeball would probably teleport to another location. Welll, it's the same principle here only that Chez gets to pick which pokemon stays and goes.

Chez pulled out another pokeball from his backpack and sat it down in front of Sprix. "Go ahead, tap the little button twice and you should go right into it." Sprix obeyed and that was a good sign already; it tapped the pokeball twice. It got sucked into the ball and a "Ding" was heard. Chez picked up the pokeball. "Come on head out." Sprix's pokeball opened up and when Sprix was released it jumped up and down in excitement; these were the adventurous pokemon and ones who loved to go on journeys.

"Come on, you want to tag along so I suggest you don't fall behind. I know you can keep up...because I already have a tough time keeping you still." He laughed and moved on with Sprix and Raichu following close behind. He came to a carved out room in the tunnel and looked around. Sprix and Raichu rushed over to a corner in the room and started getting excited. Chez looked but nothing was there.

"Is there some kind of ghost pokemon over there? What's up with those two?" Chez asked himself.

Kira glanced up and saw the two pokemon. They couldnt see her but they could sense her there. She noticed chez starting over to see what the two were all worked up about. Kira let out a sigh and tapped the pokeball. She re appeared so they all could see her. She stood up and glanced at all three of them... then too the pool of water that had settled down. She saw her face in it and turned to Chez.

Kira had remembered something about seeing Rorohiko... It was a family reunion... before she forgot everything. Tons of people where there and thats when she saw Rorohiko. She knew she recognised him from somewhere. She put her shiney black hair behind her ears and gave the three of them a little smile. She did have to turn her head a little to see Chez completely due to the blindness in her left eye.

"Sorry about that... I just needed to think for a bit thats all."

Chez smiled because he, for some reason, was very happy to see Kira. Had he grown attached to her already? Why? Isn't this the same two people who were at odds with each other before? Thank goodness they finally learned to get along somewhat. "I don't know how to say this but I kinda missed you...say, I caught something. I know you have a thing for fire types, I know you love that Ponyta very much. So, take a look at this one." Chez reached to his pokeball belt and pulled out the newest caught pokemon. He tossed it and out came Grendox.

"GREEEEENDOX!" It howled as it eyed Sprix and licked its lips. Chez stepped out in front of Sprix.

"Now, there'll be no eating teammates. GOT IT?!" Chez used the same tone that he used with all his other pokemon; loud and commanding.

"Gren..dox..." That was all the fire type could say as its lowered its head and looked up at Kira with a strange stare.

"This is Grendox, I take it that it's a fire and normal type pokemon. It looks to be a hybrid of a Quilava and Sandslash." Chez smiled as he held up the pokeball and returned Grendox back into it. "Return, Grendox." He put the pokeball back in its place and turned to Kira.

"I know you don't think I'm serious when I said that I missed you but I really am." He held both her hands as Raichu and Sprix were distracted whilst they played with one another. "I...I want to tell you something...but I...I don't know how to tell you..."

No one had ever just up and held her hands and it was strange. The part of her that wasnt comfortable with humans felt like pulling back but... part of her decided to stand still. She glanced at him with a slight smile.

"Well... Just say what comes to your mind first. I promis I wont bite..."

The light reflected off the water danced across the ceiling and the walls. It was danceing across Kiras face.

"When are we going to see another new pokemon, you think?" Joy asked Rin as they walked along the dimly lit path. "Don't know." "Don't you want to see anymore?" "Don't know." Joy thought for a moment, then asked, "Can't you--" "Say anything other than 'don't know'? No," Rin finished for her. Joy let out a small growl.

"You wanted to be professor, right?" Rin asked suddenly. This question startled Joy, making her wonder why Rin had asked. "Yeah...?" "What do professor's do again? You know, besides giving new trainers pokemon. I know they do that." Joy nearly tripped as she asked that question. "What do you MEAN what do they do?!"

"Don't get so uptight, jeez." "Why didn't you introduce yourself to the others, huh?" "Didn't feel like it." "That's it?!" Joy was beginning to wonder if travelling with Rin was a good idea. "No, that's not it.

"First off, I don't like being asked questions. I know that by telling someone just enough information that will make yourself feel like your not letting them know everything, that person'll just rip you up with questions. People have to know everything about anything. Why people even care about me is a surprise, really. Second, I think I've already told you this one, but I don't trust anyone down here. I came here to expand my pokedex and get some powerful pokemon that I can train with. Not to make friends.

"And third... Telling people about myself just reminds me about how much I hate myself to begin with. Now why would I want to remind myself of THAT, I wonder," Rin spat. Joy was quiet.

They walked in silence for another twenty or so minutes before Joy broke it with a question. "Are we going around in circles?" "Don't know." Joy let out a moan. "What?" "You always say 'Don't know' or 'Don't care' and it just gets so annoying!" "I don't--!" Rin was cut off by the sound of footsteps. "Absol.." Rin began, her pokemon immediatly running off to the sound of the noise.

"What is it?" "We'll find out."
