Sakura read the sign outside the computer game shop at the Central Tokyo shopping centre.
" Hmmm.....sounds interesting." Sakura checked her purse. " I have enough money. Ah...why not? I haven't played a computer game in such a long time. It'll be fun." Sakura walked into the shop with her money in hand.

Meanwhile...

A man wearing glasses sat at his computer, typing furiously.
" I'll get them....those fools...took my idea....they'll pay....." he mumbled to himself and slurped down a can of Coke.

Paragraphs of coding started to appear on his computer screen before him.
" Finally, I will make them pay..."
For three hours he sat there and changed the internet coding for the newly released game, Monster Network. He sniggered gleefully as he hit the last key.
" They will regret ever coming into contact with the Master!!!" The man started laughing evilly.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=Black]Welcome to my new RPG, Monster Network. Before we start, I need to explain a few things about this RPG.

In Monster Network, or MN, there is a hand-held computer that you download all you and your monster's statistics from the internet. It is called a MC - Monster Computer (original I know *sarcastic*). On the MC, all of the player's statistics are recorded on it as well as the monster's. The MC also holds all the holographic devices used in battling.

Personality: Being the youngest in the family, Sakura was constantly picked on. This caused her to make a barrier towards people. To new people or strangers, she puts up a defensive barrier and seems cold and distant. Once you get through the barrier, Sakura is a cheery, happy-go-lucky person who is kind, intellegent and protective.
History: Sakura is the youngest of five siblings, which means she was constantly picked on. Her mother and father had to work long hours to provide for the family who lived in a cramped apartment.

As the children got older, they moved out, leaving space for the others to live in. When Sakura turned 12, she started doing odd jobs around her neighbourhood. Over the years, she has saved enough to support herself comfortably. Sakura gave some of her money to her parents so they could live a bit better in their old age.

[b]History: [/b]Miraki was born as the olderst of three children, two girls and a boy (himself). Since both of his parents worked almost constantly, he was left at home to take care of his younger sisters and get them to school (and himself, as well). While Miraki managed these tasks well, in time he grew dissatisfied with never being able to have the freedom he desired. Thus, at the age of 15, he applied and was accepted for a position as a website programmer. At 16, Miraki moved into a small apartment, near where he was attending school. While he sometimes stops by home to check on his sisters, Miraki otherwise lives a very independent life.

Appearance: Zell wears simple clothing most of the time. A blank black shirt with blue jeans, he is not usually seen with much else. Most of the time he will have a headset on, listening to music if he is not talking. Rather handsome, his hair is spiked with deep green eyes. 6'1
Personality: Though he does not talk much, when he does he is very easy to get along with. People who pitty themselves or are extremly selfish annoy him, never really having seen the point in being that way. The features on his face make it seem like he always has a small smile on his face. The only real downside is his temper, if something rubs him the wrong way, he will nearly lose it.
History: James is 16, currently living with only his father. His mother died when he was 9, having killed herself after her second child (His sister) died at birth, hanging herself in there bedroom. James found her before his father came home from work, not having done anything except feared away from it in a corner until his father came home. If you talked to him you would never discover something like that had happened to him, but if you witnessed his firery temper you could understand. After the suicide he pushed all his sorrow and anger down inside him.
He also found some release in video games, having left the world of his fathers depression and dead mother behind in them. That is one of the main reasins why he started MN, thinking of nothing else except the fights to escape the real world.

Teen - As a teen his appearance changes to 4 and a half foot tall bat. It still has arms and legs, his bat wings on his back, the wing span over 8 feet. His hands, feet, and teeth are still razor sharp, capable of creating both physical and magical attacks.
Adult - He becomes a 20 year old man with long dark hair and red eyes. With a black leather jacket and black jeans, in a small way he resembles how James would look like when he is older. His hands are completely black and sharp, his claws at least a foot in length for each finger. The wings on his back are still there, having grown to a 15 foot wing span.

Aria is very stealthy, flexible and acrobatic and gymnastic and has been since she was a child. She doesn't get annoyed very often, except when someone bugs her a lot. One of her best skills is her skill with computers and anything electronic.

The parents she lived with treated her kindly, which she wasn't used to and gave her a good life. She's very thankful and treats them as her real parents.
One day she walked past a store and saw the ad for MN and decided to buy one, just to see what it was like, but then she realised she liked it and wanted to be the best and raise the best creature.

Imric stands at 5'5'', while most of his friends are at least half a head taller than him. His hair is sleek and navy blue, a nice contrast with his emerald green eyes. His skin is pale and he will usually dress in smart clothing, usually the colours of grey, black or white.

[B]Personality:[/B] Imric would be described by others as cold and overly-serious....would, being the key word, because if they said it to his face, Imric would quite simply deck them. He goes to anger management classes once a week just to keep him in check, though he's not nearly as bad as he used to be. When Imric was a child he was bullied harshly by his brothers and people in school, it's caused him to have a rather short fuse. He is sarcastic and has a very sharp tongue, plus he's not afraid to use it. Usually Imric prefers to work alone and doesn't enjoy others company, he refuses to acknowledge his friends and hopes that his monster is more of a friend to him than anyone else has ever been.

[B]History: [/B] Imric's life has been pretty boring up to now. He was home tutored until he was ten and for that he got bullied, but most kids did at that age. The only thing that made this case different was the harshness of the bullying. His brothers were the worst and got Imric hospitilized on more than one occasion. You may be wondering why his parents never stopped this and the fact is that they were never at home to see what happened and Imric went through most of his life telling them that he was clumsy, too afraid to tell them the truth.
Imric joined school when he was 11 and made one good friend who later moved to another country. Since then he has preffered to be a loner, only talking to a select few people that he feels comfortable with.

Nothing can get through this superheated flame, water will only evaporate once it touches it. The wall also spits out little flames that, if they touch the skin, will immediately cause sever pain and blistering.
[U]Ultimate [/U] -[I] Eruption[/I]- Raptaah jumps a few feet into the air and bring both it's feet down with incredible speed and strength, cracking a line along the earth. He then breathes a jet of flames into to crack to summon a massive eruption. Extremely powerful but also very dangerous.

Personality: Takahiro is very over protective and over apologetic. He is very quiet around people he doesn't know. He is very trusting and is prone to be blinded by rage easily.
History: Unlike Sakura's other older siblings, Takahiro was the one sibling who always defended her when the others picked on her. He knew how bad it was as the youngest before. He always tried to help Sakura out but usually couldn't since he wasn't much older than her.

When the others moved out he decided to help Sakura in her quest to provide for their parents. He helped her with jobs in the neighborhood and when he turned 14 got a job at a supermarket. He always finds himself helping Sakura anyway possible. Takahiro has even found times in which he had to force himself not to help her.

[B]Personality[/B]: Kaida is very tough, proud, and is not afraid to flaunt her beauty a little to win a fight. She is very determined to prove herself powerful, going to any lengths to win. She acts self-assured and tough, but inside she's very sad and angry. Also, in a bit of insanity, she loves to flirt but hates being hit on. Go figure.
[B]History[/B]: Kaida was raised in a predominantely male family, with four brothers, younger or older. This caused her to become kind of a tomboy. She also formed a deep connection with her older brother Kana, the only one of her brothers who didn't treat her like a little girl (even though she was older than two of them).

Kana was her best friend in the world, acting as a father figure since their real father was absent most of the time, on business and such. Kana doted on her as a real father would. He left home when she was 7, but visited daily, buying her gifts and teaching her things that her parents didn't have time for and teachers didn't care about.

On her tenth birthday, however, Kana didn't show up. Kaida was heartbroken, and started hating Kana, thinking he had forgotten about her. She became dark, cynical, and angry. It was nearly a month before she found out the truth.

Kana had been killed by a mugger on the way to Kaida's home. He refused to give up his money and, more importantly, the gift he planned to give to her. The mugger shot him and took his money, but not the gift. It was a silver cross necklace with three rubies in the center. On the back was inscribed "To Kaida, my sister, my angel, my everything."

Kaida took up martial arts to keep her mind off the pain. When Monster Network came out, she was one of the first to get it. She has become a master player, attempting to honor her brother in the form of Kuroichi, who was modeled after him.

A black dragon tattoo winds up his chest. His hair is still long, reaching down to his shoulders, but his red eyes are much smaller. It is commonly noted that he is very attractive for a monster.

A red cloud of mist surrounds the opposition, small cuts forming on their bodies. As long as the mist holds, they are constantly damaged by small cuts. Weak damage, but it builds up.

Kuroichi summons up a massive ball of red energy and hurls it at his opponent, doing massive damage. If it hits, it is almost always fatal. If it misses, it drains him almost completely, leaving him easy prey.

Personality: Austin is solf spoken and shy, and rarely talks to others. He rather write than have a discussion. He hates it that people do not understand that, and will force him to speak. Though, he feels better when he talks, he just can't. Austin has strong thoughs about love and romance, his stories are mostly about them, and is kind and caring to others.

History: Austin grew up in a wealthy family, so he spend he young days in private schools. He felt he was always smarter than his teachers, sometimes he even baffled them. He grew bored of school and needed to find something to interest him. Austin soon took up reading and writing stories, his favorite about love. Maybe that is because his parents fought and their marriage was torn, and he wanted to create a prefect pair of lovers.

Austin also seeked to speak his mind and share his stories with others. So, he found places to do so on the internet. He found most liked them, even said they where perfect. After wondering off to another part of the BBS, the gaming forum, he found a long thread about Monster Network. He found what he read fascinating, so he looked for more about it. Personality: Max is very jaded and cynical. He dislikes real life immensely, so he will bury himself in anything fantastic, like books, anime, manga, drawing, and video games. He is not withdrawn, hot-tempered, clinically depressed, or anything like that. He can enjoy good jokes, good friends, any of life's little victories. He merely dislikes the world's corruption intensely, yet feels paralyzed with the enormity of it, and the fact that he can do almost nothing about it. This is what causes his bitterness, his cynicalness.

History: No abusive parents, no painful deaths of family or friends, nothing so tragic as that marrs Max's life. The most traumatic experience he has claim to was when he fell off of a bike. It seems that as his life progresses, as he becomes more and more aware of the world, the more bitter he becomes. But other than that, nothing horrible has happened to him.

History: Little is know about his past, but it is obvious that something horrible happened to his and his family. Since the age of five he was bounced from foster home to foster home, never fitting in, and becoming more closed off as time passed. There are only a few people he will let see his true self.

Personality: Rin keeps to herself most of the time. Even if she's quiet, Rin would do whatever she wants. She's not afraid of what others think of her at all. When she has something to say, she'll say it. Some call her rude, but she likes to think of herself as painfully honest. The way she acts around others depends on what she thinks of them. Complete strangers she likes to "toy" with. When she battles, it's like she puts her entire self into her partner. During battles she is no longer secluded and bored, but instead she's determined, outspoken, and eager.

History: Rin has had a horrible past. Even though she was born into a loving and peaceful family, her personality clashed with everyone else's. She became an outcast in her own home. She was sent to a public school, but was expelled three weeks later for nearly killing another student. When asked why she did it, she can't think of a reason.

Her parents then sent her to a private school, where she managed to stay out of trouble. Because of what she had done, and in order to prevent her from doing it again, her parents made her stay quiet. This made the others never really accept her. Instead, she was teased, bullied, and chased around until she couldn't take it anymore. She burnt down her school at the tender age of 12. Luckily for her, the police convicted someone else in her place with a lack of evidence against her.

Her older brother then began acting out, and soon, the two of them were arrested all the time, and were banned from almost everywhere in town. Their parents disowned them, sending them into foster care. The two of them were seperated after being kicked out from three foster homes together. In her fourth home, Rin ended up with a family of rich folk. They had no children, and had always wanted a boy, but they kept her and gave her everything. They even homeschooled her because she didn't want to go to school.

One day, she recieved a game for her fourteenth birthday. It was called "Monster Network". She played almost everyday, and gained lots of friends, and was even a different person in the game. Sometimes, she'll play for days at a time, not doing anything else.

Child - A tiny four-legged lizard, the size of a dog, with small wings at all four of its ankles. Its scales are blue and light gray.

Adult - A large dragon, being twice as big as its previous stage, large navy blue wings from its back, and three tails. Its head is decorated in spikes on the side, and has large fangs, visible even with mouth closed. It is the same colors except its three tails are black.

Element: Wind/Lightning

Attacks:
Simple - [U][B]Shock[/B][/U]- [i]A damaging amount of static electricity sparks from the wings along his ankles, then circles around the opponent and shocks them, usually stunning them for a short time.[/i]

Intermediate - [u][b]Conduct[/b][/u]- [i]Depending on the amount of energy Uindo has available, he can conduct large amounts of electricy, which surrounds him, making a sort of barrier which he can use to protect himself from attacks, or even use to damage the opponent. Or he can summon large amounts of wind and do the same thing.[/i]

Advanced - [u][b]Tornado[/b][/u]- [i]With large flaps of his wings, he creates a small army of tornadoes, which are quite a formidable force. Can do lots of damages and trap an opponent from escaping.[/i]

Ultimate - [u][b]Storm[/b][/u]- [i]Lots of dark clouds are summoned, encircling the opponent and attacking them with large bolts of lightning and once the clouds disperse, strong gusts of wind attack them at such great speeds that they leave gashes and wounds. Then, finally, they are trapped in tornadoes and hurricanes, followed by several thunder storms. Takes lots of energy from Uindo.[/i]
