Me and my dad got interested in this show quite a long time ago,and ever since I've found it to be an extremely good series. Unlike a lot of the sci-fi series, it's not based on a movie or book (not that I know of...) and has some very original ideas. At first glance, it's your average space show, but when you get into the plot, Farscape is much more than that.

Mind you, I've missed a good deal of episodes and am not always sure what's going on, but it's still always entertaining. There's such a variety of characters and oddities that so (in my opinion) accurately depict what kind of chaos would be caused by different species mingling. The first few episodes pretty much throw you into this strange situation with the main character John Criton.

Anyone else taken an interest in Farscape? Come on, there's gotta be a few of you out there.

I didn't get the Sci-Fi Channel until after the show was cancelled, so I was never able to get into the reruns they air. It's one of those shows that you can't really miss one episode of without getting completely lost. A few weeks ago, they aired every episode of the show with daily marathons for 2 weeks. I finally caught the beginning of the series, found out who the characters are, and what the 'frell' was going on.

Then Sci-Fi aired the (apparently) fan-demanded miniseries to finish the story. I always thought the show was kinda "eh," but that miniseries was one of the best I've ever seen. Okay, so it's no "Roots" or "North and South," but it ranks pretty darn high.

I love FarScape. ^_^ Too bad they play it at like, 11PM so I always miss it.

What drew me to the show, initially, was the sense of humour it had about itself as well. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and it doesn't suffer for it. Granted, it has its serious moments, and its fair share of drama and action, but its not what makes the show.

I mean, one episode was confined completely in John's head where he was acting out a Looney Tunes cartoon with his subconsious - who, incidentally, takes the form of his arch-nemisis. I doubt many other sci-fi shows would even attempt that, heh.

I also missed out on this show during it's normal run. I kept catching small parts of it during the morning while they were running their 'whole series' run. . but, I would stick around for a bit, and then flip it to something else. Well, then I noticed that of everything on at 10:00am in the morning, there were very few good shows on. . So, I started paying attention to this highly raved show (my friends raved it), and got caught up in the series.

I was really captured by this show, though some episodes seemed to just ramble on and on. Oh well, take the good with the bad. There were many episodes that I missed, but I was still really caught up with the series as a whole. The mini-series at the end was ok, but I think it could have gone a little better. Overall, for a very long 'movie' as it seemed, it was a really good one!
