''So this is where you've been hiding lately my friend...feels very homely.''

Thank you; I've only been here for a couple of years on and off. Its the home of my friend Kotoku.'' Alex replied

''A human?''

''Yes...and no she is not the Key that you seek. But there is certainly something different about her.''

Alexander placed a cup of coffee in front of Gabriel as he took a seat at the kitchen table. For a couple hours there was casual talk; catching up on the many centuries that had seperated them. Gariel, Michael, and Alexander were best friends while in heaven. Leading the academy together in times of peace...together they were an unstopable force. However when the angels fell...leaving Gabriel trapped on earth apart from heaven, Michael held to his duties as commander, and Alexander's quarl with God...going into isolation; they all had gone out on their seperate paths.

''She knows of us Gabriel; however she is lost, in a sense over it. Her mind isn't quite able to handle it yet...but her spirit is so willing. There is an amazing strength within her...she reminds me of one of us sometimes''

Where is this girl now?

''She's upstairs sleeping; she had another vision the other night and had to be brought to the hospital. I wasn't there with her when it happened...but when she came back to the house...she was, so confused and lost. She asked me so many question before she passed out again. I brought her up to her room and laid her to rest.''

''Interesting, I haven't heard of a human having such visions before if they are what you describe them to be...'' Gabriel was obviously in a deep train of thought as he took a sip of his coffee.

''Why do you live among them like you do Alex...why do you persist this friendship with the human?''

''Her name is Kotoku...and you'd can be surprised what you can see through the eyes of a child Gabriel. I do miss heaven as you do...but I feel connected to this place now. I couldn't possibly leave her now...thats why I chose to stay in this childish form.''

As Gabriel sat there sipping on his coffee...he took note of the boy that sat before him. Amazing; to think that in that body lives one of the most power angels...one like those of Michael, Lucifer and himself. Surprising to see him chose a life such as this. Such kindness and compassion...strength and leadership...to be spent on these humans.

''I know what your thinking my dear friend. Please don't worry bout me...I'm happy. I am still a warrior of God...maybe I'm not exactly like the being you knew. But my spirit remains the same.

''I cannot judge you Alex; you know as well as I do that you one day you will be held accountable for your actions...for what you will have to atone for. I'm just so happy to see you well.

*Some time passed...talking about each other's lives to that point...then coming to the war...*

You know what we are fighting against Alex...this is a war. I will do whatever I can to defeat these enemies. To find the Key and gain access to heaven once again. Don't worry yourself *with a smile*

''Yes...they are. But we have a problem...the fallen have discovered the location of the Key...we must make haste. Our forces are divided...we need to reunite and rebuild if we are too fight them. There are becoming stronger.''

''I agree, Michael is already on route to the new base to organize our forces...we're gonna need all the help we can get. But I must find Marcus. How do you know that the fallen have discovered the identity of the key?''

''Let us just say that...a little cat told me:)''

''The fallen are now attacking us in plain very of the public Gab...Kotoku has been telling me of her visions...and I believe her. I must ask a favor of you my old friend...with your blessings; I would like to tell her of us...for her to meet you; there are things she needs answers for.

*Alex talks about Kotoku's past and the loss of her mother and father*

*There ya go Annie...all posts regarding the lair and everything else has been deleted and redone. Hopefully you Sweeteyes(Gabriel) and Sakura(Kotoku) will see these changes before future posts are done. Hopefully I won't have to do this again...erasing hard work of mine. If you don't like your character being used because of a point your trying to make in the storyline...please say so in the future. Thanks...take care...later

"I'll do it," Z said after a moments consideration.

"Good let's go out and you can show me the house."

The two left the room expecting to see the other three wayiting but there was only a maid standing beside the door.

"Where did the others go?" Lucifer asked the maid.

"Lord Mutuol left a short while a go with the new convert Afriel," the maid replied. "Damien and Uriel left talking about the key. Something about bringing her in."

"Thankyou," Lucifer said, and once the maid was out of earshot. "Damn it. Those two could ruin everything. Show me where Agoriad lives quick."

Lucifer grabbed Z by the hand a took off in a shot. Z hadn't got used to flying yet and this didn't help at all.

*A few minutes later*

Lucifer and Z arrived at Agoriad's home. Lucifer let Z down softly.

"I'll leave you here," she said. "You can take care of yourself right?"

"Yeah sure." Z replied.

"I saw Damien and Uriel round the back so I'll take care of those two."

With that Lucifer took off again and headed around the back of the house. Damien and Uriel were fighting with a few angels and it looked like they had the upper hand. As she went to land the angels noticed her and ran knowing that they didn't stand a chance against three of the Fallen's bigwigs. Damien and Uriel turned to look at her.

"What did you have to do that for?" Damien demanded.

"You two are idiots," Lucifer yelled back. "Now the Angels probably know that we have discovered who Agoriad is. You've possibly ruined a whole plan."

"What plan?" Uriel asked.

"The one that I was discussing with Z. I wasn't going to include you yet because I wanted to know whether he was going to go along with it." She was still yelling.

"Ok, ok. We won't do it again." Uriel said.

Lucifer had begun to calm down. "Ok I have new assignments for the both of you. Damien I want you to watch Z. Make sure he doesn't get into any trouble."

"Why can't Mutuol do it," Damien growled. "Z is his friend."

"Mutuol has disappeared with the new convert. So this task is yours. Uriel I want you to find Dumah. I sent him on a mission to find the angel's main base and he hasn't returned. It's not like him to be gone so long. If you need me I'll be at the usual place."

With that Lucifer took off. Now the usual place wasn't actually back at the mansion which is why Lucifer headed straight up.

Sighing, Heaven leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes. She turned her head to the side and a sudden image appeared before her, but quickly disappeared as it had appeared. She sat straight up and looked at where the image was last seen and rubbed her eyes. Shaking herself, Heaven saved the latest work and shut her computer off. She stood up and walked towards her bedroom, but heard scratching at the door.

Walking towards it, voices were heard outside. Looking through the peep hole and saw her cat, Esmerelda, Esme for short, and her dog, Manu, with a stranger who was petting her animals. Worried what had happened, Heaven quickly opened the door and picked up Esme, while Manu walked into the house. Heaven followed Manu as he walked in and then looked to the man who stood before her.

While she wore a black shirt and grey sweats, the man wore a black outfit with red gloves and black shoes, along with sunglasses that covered his eyes. His hair was white like snow and he smelt of gun powder. Heaven held onto Esme, who merely looked at the man.

Lucifer continued to fly up. It was not difficult for her to breath as she left Earth's atmosphere. Angels and Fallen were different from Humans and so didn't need oxygen to live. The usual place was actually the moon. It was not that she liked the solitary feeling present when she was up there but rather that the Earth did look wonderful and she could forget about the Humans.

She sat and reflected on everything that had recently happened. The death of her closest friend, the meeting with Gabriel, the disappearance of Dumah, and the discovery of the key. In a way it was just to much to handle there were always times when she was unable to cope with what was happening and others when she wondered why she began rebellion.

*hours later*

Lucifer started awake. She was still sitting on the moon but hadn't realized that she had dozed off. It had never happened to her before especially since being a Fallen she didn't need sleep. Maybe it was proof that she was working herself to hard.

She starred down at the planet again. The beautiful mix of colours. As she watched something seemed to grow in size coming towards her. She new it wasn't one of the Fallen coming to report to her by looking at the shape. It looked more like an angel. As the shape grew this became more definite.

"Lucifer I have come for you," The angel yelled in a threatening voice.

"Let's go, Afriel," Mutuol slipped on a pair of leather gloves and started out the door.

Afriel nodded and threw on a white cloak. Mutuol stared at the young angel, astonished that he would dare to wear white. It would make it difficult for them to pass through undetected.

"Afriel, do you think it wise that you don a white attire?" Mutuol ran his finger through his hair.

"What's wrong with white?"

"You'll be seen. They know you've betrayed them. Now go back inside and get black or dark clothes," Mutuol pointed into the house, staring down at the youth.

"Yes, Sir," without a whimper, Afriel darted into the house.

Mutuol sighed and looked to the city skylights. He easily spotted the one Z and Agoriad were in; a low growl rattled in his throat. Minutes later, Afriel appeared by his side and looked to Mutuol for approval. The unborn nodded appreciatively and took to the air, closely followed by Afriel.

"You lead the way," Mutuol gestured for Afriel to take lead.

"Yes, Lord Mutuol," Afriel did as he was instructed and sped up his flight.

Mutuol scanned the horizon, watching for the angels. He felt Lucifer above them, but did not let his focus faulter. They were going to destroy the Lair. Then it came into his head.

"Afriel, do you think the angels have moved from their haven?"

"This may be, m'Lord."

"Well, do they have a second base?"

"Yes, but I'm not one hundred percent sure where it is," Afriel glanced back at Mutuol.

"Perhaps we shall find something in the main Lair. Keep your eyes ahead," Mutuol took a quick glance back at the city.

Uriel flapped his wings, flying around the city in carefully-planned flight routes. He was checking out all the known angel hotspots around the city. He couldn't find a single trace of Dumah anywhere.

"Where the hell is he?" Uriel shouted, his voice echoing down the streets, confusing civilians walking quietly down the streets.

Then he landed in the next angel hotspot. There were traces of battle, blood splattered on the walls. Uriel looked at the blood. It was dry, nearly a week old, but it emanated the energy from Dumah's weapons. He tasted it. Angel blood. Dumah had been ambushed by angels, Uriel deduced, and he had put up a fight. Good old Dumah. He would never go down without a decent fight, not that he had ever gone down before.

Then Uriel noticed something. Another bloodstain on the floor. This time it was the blood of the Fallen. It was Dumah's blood. Dumah was injured, badly, if the blood on the floor was anything to go by. And he had been taken somewhere by the angels.

"So it wasn't enough for you filthy creatures to kill Azrael, but now you take Dumah as well?" Uriel cried into the rain, "You will pay for this!"

"Will we now?" came a voice from behind Uriel. It was a cocky voice, with a strange leer to it. Uriel turned around. There was an angel standing behind him, wings outstretched, weapon drawn, looking angry but still cocky.

"And who are you?" asked Uriel furiously.

"I am Orfaran, friend of the angel captain you killed earlier this evening."

"Well, Orfaran, your kind has killed one of my closest allies, and now captured another one. I think that makes us about even, don't you?"

Orfaran fumed, but said nothing.

"No? Well why don't we make it even right now?"

"Very well, filth," spat the angel, "But I feel that we are owed slightly more than you, so let's even things out a little, shall we?" And with this last comment, five other angels swooped down from the air, drawing various bladed weapons, and landing, already advancing towards Uriel.

"Ooh, this should be fun!" exclaimed Uriel, drawing his sword, and igniting it.

"For Dumah!" the Fallen angel cried, and charged at the group of angels.

Gabriel could only hang his head down hearing the unfortunate events of the girls past. He regarded them as he always did. he remained quiet and sulken but not to the point of sadness.

Sadness to him was a waste of energy and a waste of time. There was no need for sadness seeing that his own existence had been plagued by murders, many of which he perpetrated by his own two hands. Also the burden of killing one of God's own creatures his brothers and sisters in essence drove him wild.

His mind raced back to the many meeting with Lucifer. He smiled thinking of the earlier days when they lead Heaven's armies side by side. Micheal. Even Alex.

He wiped his face and sat back up the story of Kotoku's life now finished and laid back in the chair. His wings felt uncomfortable in the chair and between his bidy and for an instance he smiled and became jealous.

"Now I see why you were eager for a human body Alex?"

"How so Gab?" He cocked his head sideways looking at the semi-reclined angel.

"It's too damned uncomfortable leaning back in this chair with wings?" He looked up at the ceiling and cracked a heartfilled laugh.

Alex did the same not concentrating on the fact his friend cursed but more so intrigued by his candidness and the actual fact that he had been tainted byt the humans he so dearly admired.

"You know what Alex." He watched his friend. "I think that's the first time I've ever cursed."

Gab and Alex laughed even harder a few tears pooling in Gabriel's eyes. He sat forward and rested his elbows on his knees and quickly looked up at the figure of the young girl who looked at them curiously from by the stairs.

Gabriel cleared his throat. And Alex looked over to see her standing there.

"Oh, Kotoku you're up?" He rised quickly and moved over to the girls side. Gabriel moving out of the way allowing the girl to sit down.

She looked at him with a slight curiousness more so about his facial features that carried no real gender.

"Here sit down. Are you okay Kotoku?"

She snapped her head back to him." Yes, I'm fine." She looked back at Gabriel. "I'm sorry if I interrupted your conversation but there was such an uproar that it woke me."

Gabriel stepped forward.

"Then I must apologize," he replied extending his hand. " I'm Gabriel an old friend of Alex."

"Oh!" she extended her hand in return. "I'm...."

"I know he has spoken highly of you," He took her hand in his and shook it for a moment feeling the same sensation that Alex had also felt when he met this girl.

:They shook hands for a few moments before he dropped his hand to his side. She must have felt it too. She looked at both of them slightly confused. And Alex knew it was time.

"Where shall we start dear buddy?" Gabriel touched Alex's shoulder. Alex knew it was time. Not only to present his people, but also himself.

((OOC: Sorry I haven't posted in forever... I've had no time off, and then the internet connection didn't work, and then I could go to OB, but it wouldn't let me post anything, my comp. is just screwed up. I'm on someone else's lap-top now... It works, so I'm happy.))

"Hello. My name is..." Gabriel started to introduce himself, but Kotoku's eyes went blank

"You're one of them..." Kotoku's body lurched forward and she fell face-first to the ground.

"Kotoku! What's wrong?!" Alex tried to catch her but she fell through his bad arm.

"It's not them... Stop... Leave her alone! NO!!!" Kotoku moved into a sort of feetle position with her face in her hands.

"She's seeing something... Painful... Maybe a vision of the future. Should I wake her or let her remain in trance until she's seen what she's meant to see?" Gabriel walked around the table in two long strides, joining Kotoku and Alex, now beside her on the ground. Gabriel looked at the girl. He (I'm using 'he', okay?) kneeled down, wondering if waht she was seeing was important enough to let her see it through.

"... You can't... Just LEAVE her like this! Kotoku, wake up! Are you alright? Kotoku!" Alex shook her shoulders, but she just kept whispering in a terrified tone.

"May the demons leave your soul, Kotoku." Gabriel placed one hand on her head and she stopped shaking and opened her eyes.

"Alex... They..." Kotoku broke down into tears and collapsed into Alex.

"Listen carefully, Kotoku, we need your help. Please tell us what you saw." Gabriel reached a hand under Kotoku's chin and pulled her head foreward. "Look at me, Kotoku, you have a gift. You can see into the future, something not even I can do like you. What you are seeing is..."

"Death. The death of Angels and Angels that have chosen to betray thier King. That's what the book said..." Kotoku slapped Gabriel's hand away. "Just because you're an Angel doesn't mean I trust you. You could turn and become like... Them... Just like that" Kotoku snapped her fingers.

"Kotoku... There's something I should probably tell you." Alex put his good arm around her.

"You're one of them, aren't you?" She looked at him with no emotion.

"I... How..." Alex stumbled

"I was right... You are my guardian angel... But you have to answer something." She sounded like she was about to cry.

"Do you... Hate me Kotoku?" He asked somberly

"Hate you?"

"You hate everything about anyone with any powers... Good or evil... And I lied to you..."

"Ssshh..." Kotoku put a finger to his lips to stop him from talking. "I could never hate you, no matter what. You're my only friend... The only person I've ever cared about this much..." She blinked. "But how can a perfect being like you care about a human... About me... When there are other people... People like you..."

"There are no perfect beings except the Lord himself, Kotoku. Alex obviously loves you, why question him when he's given you the benifit of the doubt all along?" Gabriel stood up and returned to his seat.

"Oh... I forgot you were here ^^' Heh... I guess you're right... Gabriel, was it?" Kotoku suddenly looked so much happier.

I do love it when you smile, Kotoku... I'm so sorry...

"Well... I guess you wanna know what... I saw..." She sat up and realized Alex's bandages were covered in blood. She got him up and started re-wraping his shoulder. She reached into the bag of stuff she'd bought for his wounds and pulled out some medical tape.

"Yes, that'd be nice." Gabriel took another sip of his coffee.

"Mm-hm." Kotoku tore a strip of tape off with her teeth and secured his new bandage. "It wasn't like... It wasn't like before. I saw a... A shadow... And a forteress... It was all blurry... I don't... Remember..." She drifted off and rubbed her forehead.

"Kotoku, it's alright." Alex put his arm around her shoulders.

"Hm." She nodded. "I don't remember what it looked like. The shadow went into it. Inside, there were a bunch of... Voices... Winged bodies with no face... Just like the one at the hospital. The shadow spread inside, and some of the white winged beings turned black, and some just exploded into puddles of blood. Then the shadow turned into a bunch of dark winged-faceless bodies, and they all laughed and the white bodies all went away and then I... I saw something else... It was on the street we saw... Dumah before. There was blood... Lots of blood... And one of... Them... And Angels... They were fighting him... He was winning... One of them screamed 'Uriel!' There was more blood, and then it all went white. I heard a voice that told me to relese the demons inside me... I got all calm, and I woke up... What does it... Mean?"

"Our own men are in trouble. Our secondary base is in danger. I'll warn everyone, you deal with Uriel. I'm counting on you, Alexander." Galadriel strode to the door. "You'll be a great help to us, Miss Kotoku. You already have been. Let's hurry before it's too late." And he left.

"I'll go deal with Uriel. You wait here for me." Alex stood up.

"No way! You're crazy. I'm involved in this war now, too, you're not going alone. Wait, though, I need to call Satoshi... But I can do that after we get back. Those Angels are in danger. Wait, though, I have something that will heal your wounds much faster." Kotoku returned with one of those 2-liter Gatorade bottles filled with silver shiney stuff. She pulled out a pinch of it and pulled Alex's bandage aside and spread the powder on his wound.

"What is... That stuff?" Alex asked her as his shoulder got all tingly.

"It was my mom's. I don't know where she got it, but she told me it stopps bleeding. I've tried it before, it works." The shiny stuff got all glow-y.

"How does this stuff...?" Alex stopped talking. His shoulder didn't hurt anymore. He felt it and it felt like normal skin had re-formed over it, only it was kinda shiny.

"Alrighty, let's go." Kotoku threw his bandage away.

"But..." Alex didn't like this.

"I'm coming weather you like it or not, Alex. You're not gonna die on me. Besides, you might need my help, think?"

"Do you really think you can take me," Lucifer yelled down at the angel racing towards her.

"Of course." The Angel cried back, "You are weak. You do not deserve to live having turned from God."

"And shall I know the name of the Angel who shall die for their foolish ways?" Lucifer returned.

"Of course." The angel replied mockingly, "I am Nefrea and mine shall be the last face you see." With that the Angel charged at Lucifer.

No sooner had the angel begun his charge when Lucifer pulled Apocalypse from it's Scabard. The sword moved swiftly through the air blocking Nefrea's charge. It had been a few hundred years since Lucifer had last fought but it always kept her in touch with reality to take on one of these rash young Angels.

Nefrea jumped back readying himself for another attack. He didn't expect Lucifer's quick retaliation but he was Lucky to block the attack. Lucifer kept on attacking faster and faster, not allowing Nefrea to have the advantage he began with.

The fight went on for sometime, but Lucifer began to bore of the meaningless fight. Nefrea had no skill and Lucifer was making no effort. If this is what the Angels had become then the Fallen would easily overcome them. But one was not representative of many.

Lucifer shoved Nefrea in the chest knocking him down. His sword flew from his hands. Lucifer walked up to Nefrea and put her foot on his chest. Her sword she pointed at his throat.

Lucifer began, "Now you have two choices..."

"There is no way I will ever join you scum." Nefrea spat.

"Well that's your choice." Lucifer lifted her sword and thrust it through Nefrea's throat. Making sure that he was dead she then headed back to Earth leaving the body to float through space.

Uriel slashed, the angel fell, and he moved again. Swords, spears, knives, axes all came at him but he dodged or blocked them all. He leapt backwards and flew head-over-heels, landing solidly on his feet, and slicing through the flesh of another angel. His sword was feeding well this night.

An angel came at him, and he blocked all the blows delivered to him, and returned with a stab, his sword crunching through the angel's chest. He flipped over the body of this angel and killed another with a sword throught the head. The second-to-last angel came at him, and Uriel, smashed his weapon into the angel's midsection, cutting clean through it, cutting the angel in half. Blood fountained into the air, splattering down onto the ground in huge puddles.

Then it was just Uriel and Orfaran.

"You will die now, angel filth!" spat Uriel, his sword flaring up with his emotions, red-hot sparks falling to the ground like fiery raindrops. His eyes blazed with fury, and he clenched his teeth.

"Oh really?" asked the angel cockily, drawing his halberd. He ran at Uriel and swung his weapon. Uriel parried it, but it was a powerful blow. It knocked the feeling out of both his arms. The angel was strong. He swiped again and again, hitting Uriel occasionally, drawing blood which splattered onto the ground. Uriel, however, couldn't get a single blow in. It was all he could do to block the blows from the angel.

Then, the angel smashed his weapon down towards Uriel's head, and he blocked it, but in the time it took him to recover, the angel drew his halberd back and plunged it deep into Uriel's stomach, twisting it and causing unimaginable amounts of pain to shoot through his body like fire was flowing through his veins instead of blood.

Crimson blood poured out in torrents, staining Uriel's robe with dark patches of blood. Blood dribbled from the corner of his mouth, and he clenched his fist around his sword so hard that blood dribbled from his hand as well. He moved his sword, and with his last iota of energy, he sliced Orfaran's gloating head from his shoulders. Blood sprayed from the severed neck, and the body fell to the floor. Uriel lost his grip on his sword, and blacked out, pain shooting violently through his body.

Outside Kotoku's house...both her and Alex saw Gabriel flying into the air after the two angels had said their goodbyes.

''Kotoku...I want to tell you something.''

''Sure...anything Alex...you can trust me.''

*In an image of shame...Alex bowed his head down, obviously thinking on what to say*

''Like Gabriel said...no one is perfect except the Lord himself. If that weren't enough to say...I've become more human than you could possibly understand. I feel like you do, I can taste, smell and do things like any other human.''

''I know...I know.''

''I just want you to know something as this war unravels...You say I'm your guardian angel, and yet I feel like you are more of a blessing to me than I am for you. I hope that now that you know the truth...that nothing will change between us. I'm not your guardian angel...I'm your friend....*shutting his eyes...sheading a tear* who loves you more than you will ever know, not from an angel to a human...but from one heart to another.''

Before Kotoku could respond...Alex burst into a ball of light...transmorming into his true adult/angel form. He was the most beautiful thing that Kotoku had ever saw...his soft feathery wings engulfing her with warmth and comfort. Alex looked at her with those same aqua-blue eyes...the eyes of her friend Alex...the little boy who she has come to care for so much.

''Now...Kotoku...lets go.''

And he swiftly lifted her into his arms and ascended into the clouds of the sky.

''We go to battle Kotoku...I will never let harm come to you.''
