Okay theres this show that I just found out about called Degrassi, when I looked at an episode I was thinking, where's this show been all my life!! I was wondering if there are more people out there who, unlike me, have already known about the show and think that it is great...

Degrassi Junior High came out in, what, the 1980s. The show followed the main characters all the way to high school (Degrassi High) in the 90s, when it finally ended.

Years later, here comes Degrassi: The Next Generation. I just started watching it, but it's a really good show. It uses a real teenaged cast, and it goes places you just wouldn't expect a show with a cast that young to go. I think the first episode I saw was when a girl told her friend someone raped her. Her friend tried to avenge her and got his arse handed to him with little effort, but it's the thought that counts. Right?

It comes off as a lot more realistic than most other teen shows. I'm surprised with some of the stuff they cover, and how good those kids are at pulling it off. It's a shame this show is limited to a semi-obscure network like Noggin, because I think 15 year olds would have a much easier time relating to the characters on Degrassi than, say, The OC.

Wow, count me in!

I heard of Degrassi about a year ago, and I only started watching it about three months ago, and I love it. I don't exactly turn on the TV just to watch it, but if it's on I'll definately watch it, and I am actually planning to watch the new one. (sorry for the contradiction, lol)

It's probably the best teen show out there (I agree with Manic, 15 year olds and such wouldn't relate to The OC well) and it IS shame it's on a network like Noggin. I love Noggin, but you know, I think Degrassi would be even more hugely popular if it was on a channel that the majority of people could get access to.

I'm just glad that actors Daniel Clark (Sean), and Jake Epstein (Craig) finally found a show that was worth doin besides Disney Channel Movies, and shows like "Strange Days at Blake Holsey High". It's really a big step up for them.

Actually it started out as THe Kids of Degrassi Street which talked about All the Kids of the current Degrassi shows kids parents when they were in Elementary then it followed their parents till Middle school and College.

The Characters from the Current Degrassi:The Next Generation ( see its called that because their parents are the original Degrassi kids.) The kids in the Current Degrassi are Combinations of characters from the original three Degrassi's like they take a character from The Kids of Degrassi Street, Degrassi Junior High, or Degrassi High add two of them together to make a completely unique character.

I myself love the show and watch the new episodes ever Friday along with RFR AKA Radio Free Roscoe.

I have known of Degrassi for a year at least now, and I think that it is a great show. I watch it every week just about, and I think that it is wonderful, though it's definitely not one of my favorites. This show deals with ordinary life situations that we face all the time in today's society, so it is interesting, but I can't think of any flaws for the show, except for the fact that it needs better characters. But the characters in it currently are pretty good I think. It is a nice show, and I would rate it about a 6/10.
