The year is 2004. What, were you expecting me to say 2029?? Pffft. Its an average day for the people of earth. But mostly is an average day for the superheroes who protect the earth from be it super villains to petty crimes. Alas, there is usually a point in time when a band of bad guys get together and plot the downfall of good and their own way of ruling the world. This particular time consisted of Onslaught, Deathstroke, The Joker, Carnage, Dr. Doom, and Magneto. These six villains came together so that they may destroy all of their hated rivals and to guarantee their own grip on a part of the world they were wanting. Now, it is up to the heroes to stop these villains from their dastardly deeds!! Dr. Doom brought Onslaught back to existence by pulling him foward in time with his magic.

Now, most people would wonder at this uncanny group and say ?Deathstroke is a mercenary so why would he do this?? and a similar sentence would follow with Dr. Doom. The simple explanation is that Deathstroke has finally decided that to beat all super heroes, he must team up with other villains as well. Dr. Doom realized that to finally achieve his dream he?d need to beat not only the Fantastic Four and any other super heroes in his way. So it has come to pass, for each villain?s dream/goal to be realized they have formed an alliance.

Thankfully, the super heroes of the world have caught on and are assembling as we speak, now get to work super heroes!!

OOC: Let me know if anything's wrong. Thanks vicky, and I don't know why the picture isn't working.

Name: Raven
Super Hero Name: Raven
Age: 14
Super Powers: Power over inanimate objects.
Biography: Raven is the most mysterious of the Teen Titans. Under her grim and sarcastic demeanor this puzzling Titans member is of invaluable aid to the team. With an unusual love for the dark and creepy (especially horror flicks and haunted houses), Raven often prefers the comfort of being alone and retreats to the comforting emptiness of her room in times of leisure. While not grim to the point of depressing, her more passive nature provides balance to a team of lively and often hyperactive members. While Raven often exudes creepy vibes and never hesitates to give her fellow team members a piece of her mind she is still a supportive and caring member of the group.
Raven controls her power by maintaining a calm state of mind and restraining her emotions.

No problem Ohkami ^_^
Also, note to everyone: Though Dick Grayson IS the Robin in TT, I'm going to along with the picture of Tim Drake because I can't find a good one of Dick that isn't Nightwing.

Name: Dick Grayson

Super Hero Name: Robin

Age: 15 (Let's just say that, okay?)

Super Powers: None. Although Robin has no super-human abilities, he is a highly skilled natural athlete, trained from birth as an acrobat. He was further trained in all forms of unarmed combat by one of the greatest combatants in the world, Batman. His skills as a detective are also superlative. Computer science, healing skills, and analytical thinking. His costume, fireproof and bulletproof, contains numerous weapons that help him in his fight against crime, the most notable of which are his sling and his collapsible staff.

Biography: Young Dick Grayson was born on the first day of spring. His mother nicknamed him "little Robin". Little did she know how prophetic this term of endearment would be in her son's life.

Dick Grayson was part of his family's acrobatic troupe, the Flying Graysons. Dick joined the act at a very young age, having been trained in acrobatics from birth. While on tour in Gotham City, nine-year-old Dick overheard "Boss"Anthony Zucco, a well-known and feared crime-lord, threaten the performers unless the circus's owner paid extortion money. The owner refused, and that night Dick watched in horror as his parents' high wire snapped, sending his parents hurtling to their deaths. Young Dick felt responsible, because he didn't warn his parents in time.

Shortly after the tragedy, a distant Bruce Wayne rescued Dick from an uncaring juvenile services system. Frustrated by the lack of attention from his new guardian and the mystery still surrounding his parents' death, Dick snuck out of Wayne Manor one evening to solve the crime on his own - only to stumble into Batman, who was also investigating the murder. Seeing a reflection of himself in Dick, Batman not only revealed his identity as Bruce Wayne to the boy, but also decided to train him to be his protege.

At this point, Bruce saw that Dick could temper compassion with a thirst for justice. So Bruce made the young orphan the offer of a lifetime; the chance to become his crime-fighting partner. Dick chose the name Robin, and his training began.

A talented and eager pupil, Dick made his debut as Robin the Boy Wonder a few short months later when he aided Batman in finally solving the murder of the Flying Graysons.

Bruce taught Dick fighting techniques and detective skills for a grueling 6 months. Finally, Dick had to pass a final test - "the Gauntlet". Dick must elude the Dark Knight on the streets of Gotham for one night - from sundown to sunset - without any outside help. Dick succeeded, simultaneously bringing Gotham gangster Joe Minette to justice. Dick took to the streets as Batman full-fledged partner in crime-fighting, Robin, the Boy Wonder.

Dick enjoyed his first year as Robin, regarding the job as an adventure until a confrontation with Two Face served as a rude awakening for the young hero. Two-Face had captured the new District Attorney and Batman, and had each suspended from a hangman's noose in a 'double gallows death-trap'. Robin, in trying to save the D.A., used a batarang to cut the rope of the noose. It worked, but Robin didn't account for Dent's obsession with the number two-- it was a two-fold trap, and the floor gave way, dropping the DA into the water, where the man drowned. Robin was unable to prevent his death, and received a beating at the hands of Two-Face. A beating witnessed by Batman, still tied up on the platform trying to free himself. Eventually Batman was able to free himself and apprehend Two-Face. This event, however, scarred the young crime-fighter, and haunts him even today.

Later a group formed known as the Teen Titans, and Robin proven himself to be their leader.

Name: Peter Parker
Super Hero Name: Spider-Man
Age: 20
Super Powers: Natural Webbing, Super Strength, Spider Senses, Ability to stick to walls.
Biography: Peter Parker has been Spider-Man for two years now and a lot of things have happened. His first year of being Spider-Man he was faced with fighting the Green Goblin, who he discovered to be none other than Norman Osborn. Norman also had discovered Spider-Man's identity and kidnapped Mary Jane and threatened her life along with a sky tram full of children, Peter managed to save both but the fight didn't end there. It ended in an abandoned building where Norman lost his life at the hands of his own Glider and madness.

Just earlier this year, Doctor Otto Octavious tried to create perfect fusion but the first experiment was almost a success, but the creation was too unstable and it did two things to Octavious: First, it cost him his wife, and secondly is caused his four arms to fuse with his brain. When he awoke in the hospital operating room he realized what had happened when he saw the doctor's corpses strewn about the room. Finally the four arms took control of him and caused him to do some very evil things, in the end Harry Osborn discovered the person he'd hated so much for his father's death was in fact his best friend and Mary Jane realized why Peter had been so distant from her.

Now that Parker has revealed his identity to MJ he now can tell her really why he's late or something else. What was interesting though was that Harry gave Peter and Mary Jane two cell phones so that all three of them could talk to each other, and Peter could call them and tell either one of them is he wasn't going to make it on time because of his web-slinging.

Name: SuperMan

Alter Ego: Clark Kent

Age: 35

Super Powers: Super-speed, Flight, Super-strength, Invulnerability, X-Ray Vision, Super Intellect, Enhanced Sences, Laser Eye Beams.

Biography: The planet Krypton had been home to a highly technologically advanced society for hundreds of thousands of years. It had been a utopia until a Clone War almost destroyed its society. The world that rebuilt itself was one of the most advanced in this Galaxy, but all creative and original thought was lost. The society was dying in more ways than one. A strange "Green Death" was killing the population. Twenty million had already died before the scientist Jor-El discovered that the cause was the side-effect of an aborted detonation of a doomsday device during the Clone War. The native elements of the planet were fusing together to form a new radioactive element called Kryptonium. The pressures created by this reaction were causing earthquakes and would eventually result in the destruction of the planet.

Jor-El was a man of ideas and ideals in an age where they were an unknown (he was greatly influenced by an encounter with a time lost Starman VII who taught him about Earth). He had been selected by computer to be the father of a new child (after the death of another had left an opening in the Register of Citizens) with the lady Lara. Ever since he had first seen her image Jor-El had been smitten by her and used every chance to hear news of her. Genetic material was taken from Jor-El and Lara and placed in an artificial womb called a Birthing Matrix. Jor-El knew that the only way for Krypton to evolve would be to take to the stars. He had already designed a prototype Hyperdrive and had removed the genetic flaw from his child (introduced by into the Kryptonian race by Kem-L) that stopped them from leaving the planet.

The three month investigation into the "Green Death" concluded before the birth from the Matrix of the child Kal-El. The pieces were in place. Jor-El knew that neither he nor Lara could survive away from Krypton, but their unborn son shielded from the Kryptonium radiation in his Matrix might have a chance. With little time left Jor-El attached the Matrix to his Hyper-Drive. This aroused the notice of Lara who confronted Jor-El over his actions (this was the first time that they had actually met). He managed to convince her of the impending doom of Krypton and together they launched the Matrix into space. As Krypton died Jor-El told Lara that he loved her, an emotion alien to that world.

The Matrix took a hyper-light journey covering the fifty light-years that separated Krypton and Earth in just under twenty years. However due to time dilation effects the occupant had only just reached the end of the gestation period when he exited hyperspace close to Earth. The Manhunters knew that a Kryptonian raised under Earth conditions would be vastly powerful. They sent a ship to intercept the Matrix, but were delayed by a contingent from the Green Lantern Corps giving the Matrix enough time to crash land. The crash site was found by Jonathan and Martha Kent. When inspected the Matrix opened (effectively giving birth to Kal-El). Believing the child to be part of an Earth space programme they decided to keep him rather than hand him over to the heartless authorities than had sent him into space. Naming him Clark after Martha's maiden name they took him back to their farm just as the largest blizzard of the century hit Smallville cutting them off for five months. The blizzard had been created by the Manhunters to stop anybody reaching the crash site before them. After failing twice to capture the Matrix occupant the Manhunters decided drastic actions was required to monitor Kal-El. They replaced the Smallville doctor with a disguised Manhunter and implanted every child born from then on in the town with a mind control device.

At first young Clark Kent seemed a perfectly normal baby boy. His new parents were able to announce him to the world as their own natural born son. By kindergarten age he had already formed a strong friendship with best friends Lana Lang and Pete Ross. It was only at the age of eight that things began to change. Clark was using a neighbours field as a shortcut when his father saw him charged down by a bull. Jonathan ran to the spot where his son had gone down expecting to find a bloody mess. To his surprise Clark was untouched. Unbeknownst to the Kents Clark's Kryptonian cells were storing solar energy and converting it into superpowers. The invulnerability developed first followed by strength, speed, stamina, all his senses and in his final year of high school he discovered he had the power of flight as well.

A natural sportsman Clark found success on the football field with the Smallville Giants. While nowhere near his adult power levels Clark still outstripped every opponent. Most, such as his team-mates and coach, just saw Clark as an amazing athlete, but for others living in the shadow of Clark Kent feeling of jealousy were never far from the surface. Kenny Braverman was born the same day as Clark Kent, his metagene was activated by Kryptonium radiation from a fragment of Kryptonite embedded in the tail fin of Clark's Hyperdrive. The side-effects made him suffer an on-off radiation sickness. When fit he always came second to Clark Kent. The final straw came when Kenny asked Lana out to the school dance only to find out that she had accepted Clark's invitation. He would carry a grudge against Clark for the rest of his life eventually becoming the supervillain Conduit.

Clark's parents realised that with great power comes great responsibility. A philosophy that Clark learned the hard way. Two incidents really drove home Clark's responsibilities. The first occurred when he was involved in a car crash on the way home from a party. The driver, Scott Brubaker, had been drinking and was left in a vegetative state. Clark had offered to drive, but Scott insisted. It taught Clark that while he may be superhuman the people around him were all to mortal. The second incident happened after Clark had practically won the final game of his last High School season single-handedly. His father confronted him over the use of his powers and revealed to him that he had been adopted, showing him the rocket ship that had brought him to Earth. For the first time Clark saw himself in the larger picture.

The growing realisation of his responsibilities to less gifted people and the revelation of his adoption left Clark with some hard thinking to do. He had to help people secretly because if his identity was ever revealed he would never live a normal life again. Before he left Smallville Clark revealed his abilities to Lana. She had been hoping that Clark was going to propose marriage, but he explained why he had to help other people. Lana was initially devastated by the news because she knew that Clark saw her more as a sister that as a sweetheart. In time she would come to see Clark's trust as an honour and would marry Pete Ross.

After leaving Smallville Clark travelled around the world aiding the flood relief in India, earthquakes in Asia and even raising the odd headline sunken ship. After the world tour Clark returned to the US and enrolled in Metropolis University. While there he worked in Balducci's Restaurant as a short order chef. A waitress there called Ruby Carson introduced Clark to the city and turned a young country boy into a city dweller. At U.Met Clark majored in journalism and took minors in almost every diverse course he could. It was on one of these courses that he first met Lori Lemaris. Clark had seen Lana and Ruby as friends and sometime girlfriends, but Lori was different. He fell in love with her. Eventually Clark proposed marriage to her. However she declined and broke off the relationship. Clark later learned that she was a mermaid from Tritonis and had left because she knew a relationship between a surface dweller and an Atlantian could never work despite her feelings for him.

After graduating Clark went overseas wandering around Europe before being taken under the wing of Parisian journalist Simone DeNeige. Clark decided on a career in journalist because it allowed him to keep track of potential disasters and to compete on a level playing field with other people. Simone was beautiful, worldly and taught Clark how to network and make contacts. After Clark left Paris he returned to Metropolis, applied to the Daily Planet and Managing Editor Perry White agreed to give him an interview a few days later. While killing time Clark decided to attend the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary celebrations of the founding of the city. The main event was to be the landing at Metropolis International of the experimental NASA space plane Constitution.

Clark was among the watching from the crowd when a civilian light aircraft breached the secure airspace and collided with the Constitution. The two planes locked together and began to tumble out of the sky. There was no way to stop the media seeing him, but Clark knew he had to save the Constitution. Leaping into the air he moved with superspeed (so that nobody could get a good look at him) and caught the Constitution lowering it to the runway. Before he could make a getaway he was cornered by the reporter Lois Lane who had been on the Constitution. That moment was enough for the watching crowd to descend on them, each of them wanting something, a favour, a promotion, a sales opportunity. In fright Clark took to the air and only stopped when he reached Tibet. There on a remote mountain peak he sat and shook with fear of the emotions that he had unleashed in people. They knew of him now and his world could never be the same again.

Your wish is my command, Domon ^_^

BTW, will Luther be involved in this in some capacity?

Name: Victor Von Doom

Alter Ego: Victor Von Doom

Powers and Abilities: Doctor Doom is one of the world's foremost masters of super-science. His only real rival is Reed Richards in this department. He has devices that can send someone through time, create pocket dimensions, and even channel cosmic rays.

One of Doom's most powerful assets is his small nation of Latvaria, his personal security forces and spy network, his personal fortune, and his legions of doombots.

Doom also wears a battlesuit of technological armor decked out with weapons, devices and sensors.

Victor is also skilled in the occult disciplines. A sorceror by nature, Doom combines magic with technology to make himself one of the most powerful people on the face of the planet.

History: Victor Von Doom was born to Werner Von Doom, a gypsy healer, and Cynthia Von Doom, an accused witch. While a child both of Doom's parents died under strange circumstances, and Doom vowed to make the entire world pay for the loss of his beloved parents.

As a young man, Doom discovered a chest, left to him by his mother, which contained herbs, medicines, and objects said to have mystic powers. During this time, Doom began developing his powerful scientific abilities. For several years, Doom traveled the countryside peddling clever devices and potions to the gullible.

The Dean of Science at State University in the United States learned of Doom's extensive knowledge and offered him a full scholarship. There, Doom met Reed Richards, another brilliant science student who became Doom's intense rival. Doom conducted an experiment to free Doom's mother's soul from Mephisto, but the experiment blew up and left Doom's face scarred. Reed had warned Victor of miscalculations, but Doom ignored Reed. Doom bitterly blames Reed for the scarring of his face.

Doom left the University and traveled to Tibet where he studied Oriental sorcery with a sect of monks. Doom soon became their master, and the monks assisted Doom in creating a suit of armor and a metal mask. As the armored Dr. Doom, he planned to conquer the world. In an urgent rush to begin his quest for world domination, Doom donned Doom's new mask before it had completely cooled, thereby disfiguring Doom's entire face.

Doom left Tibet and returned to Latveria where Doom toppled the existing monarchy and established himself as emperor.

Over the years he has clashed repeatedly with Reed Richards and The Fantastic Four, as well as just about every other marvel hero. (and a fair sampling of DC heroes during crossover stories as well) Despite repeated 'deaths', Doom seems to always come back.

[IMG]http://www.cybercombatclub.com/assets_mangas_fantasy_anime_divx/images_mangas_anime_heroic_fantasy_folder/mugen_comics_x_men_characters_doctor_doom_marvels2.gif[/IMG]

Personality: Doom considers himself to be a good leader of his people, although a stern disciplinarian (men have been killed for looking at him the wrong way). His people, in general, like Doom. He gives them order, and power in the world.

He is driven and obsessive, as well as brilliant. Doom desires control, power and mastery above all else. Doom is given to bouts of depression, and is a complete egomaniac. Doom is supremely confident in his own abilities to overcome any challenge, and his force of will has prevailed over powerful demonic beings, cosmic entities, and on occasion even superheroes.

Now, Doom has assembled some of the most dangerous and nefarious personalities on the planet to aid him in eliminating those who would stand in his way. Make no mistake, Doom only views his allies as pawns in a much greater struggle, nothing more. Should this campaign be successful, Doom shall reign supreme over all mankind.

Name: James Howlett, now goes by Logan

Super Hero Name: Wolverine, Once called: Weapon X and Patch

Age: 31

Super Powers: Wolverine is a mutant with a number of enhancements to his physiology. Wolverine possesses heightened senses, making him capable of seeing things at a maximum distance greater than that of a normal human. His hearing is enhanced in a similar manner, and he is able to recognize people and objects by scent, even if that person or object is hidden. Logan can use these enhanced senses to track anyone, with an impressive degree of success.

He possesses retractable bone claws that are housed in his forearms, they are part of his skeleton system. At will Wolverine can release these claws through his skin between the knuckles on each hand. The skin between the knuckles tears and bleeds, but bleeding is quickly halted by his healing factor. The claws are naturally sharp and tougher than that of normal human bone structure. This allows Wolverine to be able to cut through most types of flesh and natural materials. (Note: While Wolverine possessed his adamantium skeleton, his claws were able to cut through almost any material without any fear of damage to the claws.)

Lastly, Wolverine possesses an accelerated healing factor based on his physiology. While most normal humans heal injuries over a long period of time, Wolverine's healing factor speeds up that natural process. Wolverine's natural healing has been advanced to the point where he can heal extensive injuries (such as broken limbs) in a matter of hours to days. This factor gives him a higher resistance to poisons and toxins, and he can recover from almost any injury. The more extensive the injury, the longer the healing time will be.

Wolverine is not immortal, however. If the injuries are extensive enough, especially if they result in the loss of vital organs, large amounts of blood, and/or loss of physical form (such as having flesh burned away by fire or acid), Logan can die.

Wolverine, again due to his healing factor, has an enhanced resistance to disease, as well as an extended life span. Despite Wolverine's chronological age, he is still as healthy and physically fit as a man in his prime.

Abilities: Due to his extensive training as a CIA operative, a Samurai, and as a member of the Weapon X program, Wolverine is a master of multiple forms of martial arts, weapons, and vehicles. He is also a trained expert in computers, explosives, and assassination techniques.

Biography: It's gonna be long.... In the late 1880's a child by the name of James Howlett was born. As a child James was a frail and sick boy. His allergies didn't allow him to go out and play much. His father had requested that a twelve year old girl be brought to their estate. That girl was named Rose and she was to be a friend and play mate to James. She read to him and looked after him. Along with the grounds keeper's son, Dog, James and Rose were the only children on the hill where the estate was. They had become close friends and played together as much as possible but Dog slowly grew away from them. Dog's father, the grounds keeper was named Thomas Logan, he was an alcoholic and abuse his son.

Over the next few years Dog started to follow in his father footsteps, becoming cruel and heartless. James was given more responsibilities by his father and grandfather. After a big fight, Dog killed James's K-9 companion which resulted in the Logans getting kicked off the Howlett estate.

In a fit of rage and anger Thomas Logan and his son entered the estate armed. They then took Rose hostage and demanded that she take them to the masters' bedroom. There the elder Logan tried to persuade James's mother, Elizabeth, to leave with them. Before they could leave John entered the room and discovered them together. In a rage of hate and dislike Thomas shot John as James walked into the room. Seeing his father shot and killed shocked him so much that it triggered his latent mutant abilities. His claws extended and continued through Thomas.

After his mother shunned him for his unusual abilities he fled the house. Rose followed to see what she could do. She found James outside the house on the ground and cold. She brought him to the barn in order to try and warm him up. Not knowing what to do Rose brought James to his grandfather house. He ended up giving them cash and told them never to come back again.

Rose took James and went to British Columbia looking for a place that they could live in peace. Rose remembered her father talking of quarries in the Northern frontiers and she figured that would be a good place for them to start looking. Making it to a quarry, they met a man named Smitty who was the foreman. That is when Rose gave James the name Logan to hide his true identity.

By the second summer there Logan was providing for both Rose and himself. He had trained himself to be a fine hunter and he also worked hard at the quarry. Smitty even gave him a new job in demolitions. Shortly after that Smitty asked Rose to marry him. The proposal upset Logan but he finally realized that Smitty did indeed love Rose. Logan then helped Smitty get money for tickets away from the quarry.

Before Smitty and Rose could leave Dog showed up. At the request of Logans grandfather he was to kill Logan and Rose for what he believed they did. In the fight that followed Rose tried to break it up but was struck by Logans claws and died. After that, not being able to live among people for what he did he left the camp and went off into the wilderness to live alone.

It wasn't until his first recorded encounter with the Hulk, as an agent of Canada's Department H, that anyone had heard of him or knew that he was interacting with people again.

Logan possesses memories of being a Samurai in Japan, a mercenary operative for the Central Intelligence Agency, and a "wild man" in the Canadian wilderness. Due to the extensive memory implants given to Logan through the Weapon X program, any and all of these memories are suspect. Logan has at least one memory of meeting Captain America in World War II which was verified as true. It is possible that Logan's healing factor grants him an extended life span and has granted him the physical condition of a man in his prime, despite his age.

Sometime after World War II, Logan was taken by a group of scientists led by Dr. Cornelius as part of the Weapon X program. Cornelius was hired to perfect and use a technique that would bond the indestructible element adamantium to human bone cells. Logan's skeleton was bonded to the adamantium, and he was indoctrinated into the Weapon X assassin program.

After his encounter with the Hulk, Wolverine was conscripted by Department H to join and lead Alpha Flight, Canada's government-run super team. During his leadership of Alpha Flight, Wolverine was approached by Professor Charles Xavier, who was looking for mutants to help his students, the X-Men, escape from the island-being known as Krakoa, which had captured them. Wolverine left Alpha Flight to accompany Xavier and rescue the captured X-Men. After Krakoa was defeated, Wolverine decided to stay with the X-Men, for reasons which included that he had fallen for the X-Man known as Marvel Girl.

Logan remained with the X-Men for quite some time, at one time being their field commander, and encountering adversaries such as Proteus, Magneto, the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, the Brood, the Reavers, demons from the dimension of Limbo, the Marauders, the Morlocks, and even Dracula on one occasion.

After his encounter with the mutant assassin Omega Red, Logan began to question the memories he possessed, but his searches to find his true identity and memories proved fruitless.

During an encounter with the mutant Magneto on his space station called Avalon, Wolverine attempted to defeat Magneto using the claws presumably given to him by the Weapon X project. Magneto retaliated, using his powers of the magnetic field to tear the adamantium out of Wolverine's skeleton, causing extensive injuries. These injuries shorted out Wolverine's healing factor for a time, and Logan also discovered that the claws that he believed a result of the Weapon X project were in fact a natural mutation. The claws he now possesses are bone, and a natural part of his skeletal structure.

As a result of his injuries, Logan left the X-Men for a time, returning after he was asked by Xavier, who also asked the mutant Cable, to rescue the X-Men in Tibet, where they were captured during the Phalanx invasion.

Recently, Logan was kidnapped by Tyler Dayspring, calling himself Genesis, who wanted to make Wolverine one of his new Horsemen. Genesis had acquired adamantium by destroying the body of the mercenary known as Cyber, and had planned to recreate the bonding process used on Logan years ago. This time, however, Logan's body rejected the adamantium, and he regressed for a time to a feral-like state.

Logan regained his lucidity, rejoined the X-Men, and is now supervising the team while Cyclops and Jean Grey are on leave. Still without his Adamantium, Logan was kidnapped by the would-be conqueror Apocalypse, perhaps the world's first mutant, and forced to fight the savage assassin Sabretooth for the mantle of the Horseman Death. Viewing himself as a more merciful candidate than his fellow mutant, Logan fought hard to win the battle. As a result, his skeleton again was laced with Adamantium. Under the control of Apocalypse, Wolverine fought the X-Men ferociously in his Death persona. But with the help of his teammates, he eventually broke free from Apocalypse's control

Name: Bruce Banner

Super Hero Name: The Hulk

Age: dont know how about 37

Super Powers:The Hulk possesses superhuman strength of the Class 100 level, enabling him to lift (press) in excess of 100 tons. The Hulk only attains this strength level when he is enraged. In a totally, calm state his functional strength is significantly less, perhaps in the 70 ton range. In human form Bruce Banner possesses the normal human strength of a man of his age, height, and build who engages in no regular exercise. In times of stress the Hulk's adrenaline level escalates, causing a corresponding escalation in strength. This is not accompanied by an additional gain in mass, but does appear to promote increased levels of energy efficiency. To date the Hulk has never apparently been provoked into demonstrating a maximum output of strength; hence, its upper limit remains a mystery. In addition to great strength, the Hulk's body possesses a high degree of resistance to injury, pain, and disease. The Hulk's skin is capable of withstanding great heat without blistering (up to 3,000° Fahrenheit), great cold without freezing (down to -190° F), and great impacts (he can survive direct hits by field artillery cannon shells). It is possible to injure him: he could not, for example, survive a near-hit with a nuclear warhead. The Hulk's highly efficient physiology renders him immune to all terrestrial disease. The Hulk can use his superhumanly strong leg muscles to leap great distances. The Hulk has been known to cover 3 miles in a single bound.

Biography: Bruce Banner was the son of Dr. Brian Banner, an atomic scientist, and his wife Rebecca. Although Rebecca deeply loved Bruce, who returned her affection, Brian hated the child. Possibly an alcoholic, Brian Banner was driven by an insane jealousy of Bruce for being an object of Rebecca's love. Brian Banner finally murdered Rebecca and was placed in a mental hospital. Bruce, a highly withdrawn, intellectual youth, was raised by his aunt, Mrs. Drake, and internalized his great pain and rage over his childhood sufferings.

Eventually, as an adult and a genius in nuclear physics, Banner went to work at a United States Defense Department nuclear research facility at Desert Base, New Mexico. There Banner met General Thaddeus E. "Thunderbolt" Ross, the Air Force officer in command of the base, and his daughter Betty. Banner and Betty Ross eventually fell in love with each other. Banner designed and oversaw construction of the "gamma bomb" or "G-bomb," a nuclear weapon that had a high gamma radiation output.

Banner was present in the instrumentation bunker at the test site for the first underground test detonation of the gamma bomb. Observing that a civilian had breached security and entered the restricted test area, Banner told his colleague Igor Starsky to delay the countdown while he tried to get the civilian to safety, Starsky, secretly a Soviet agent, did nothing, confident that Banner would die in the explosion, bringing the project to a halt. Reaching the civilian, a teenager named Rick Jones, Banner threw him into a protective trench. Before Banner could get himself to safety, the gamma-bomb detonated, and intense waves of radiation reached the surface. Banner was irradiated with highly charged, radioactive particles. Due to an unknown genetic factor in his body, Banner was not killed by the radiation, which instead caused him to transform frequently into the vastly powerful, green-skinned named "the Hulk" by the military present at the test site.

Quick question: Do we have to stay within the traditional DC/Marvel properties? There's some characters within other lines that I would rather use that are actually owned by those two companies (Vertigo is owned by DC, for example). I wasn't sure if that'd be okay.

Sounds fun! And if you need some villains, then you can definitely count on me!

Name: Magneto

Real Name: Erik Magnus Lensherr

Age: Around 50

Superhuman Powers: Mastery of Magnetism

Bio: As the only surviving member of his family after an internment at a Nazi prison camp, Magnus saw the kind of inhumanity ruthless, amoral human beings were capable of inflicting upon the world. These brutal events became a black mark forever burned in his memeory, fueling his belief that mutants like himself can only be free if they enslave the rest of the human race before it enslaves them. Never again does he want to face the horror and degredation he and his people faced in World War Two.

After his release from Auschwitz, Magnus married a woman named Magda who gave birth to their first child, Anya. When a mob prevented him from saving his daughter from a fire, Magnus unleashed his powers upon them, killing them all with his mutant ability to manipulate the planet's magnetic forces.

Terrified, Magda fled-fearing not just the man's unimaginable power, but his increasing obsession with world mutant domination. She never bothered to tell her husband she was pregnant again. Reaching a safe haven, Magda gave birth to twins (Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch) and turned them over to a gypst couple to raise as their own. When she took her own life, she tooke the secret of her children's paternity to her grave.

Crushed by the loss of his child and wife, Magnus sought solace in Israel and performed volunteer work with Holocaust survivors. He also befriended a young telepath named Charles Xavier, later known as Professor X. As the pair battled terrorists, each was forced to reveal their mutant powers to one another. As they spoke of their mutual mutant status, Charles revealed that he foresaw a planet where Homo superior and Homo sapiens could peacefully coexist-a viewpoint diametrically opposed to that of Magnus, who believed mutants would merely be the next in a long line of minorities ready to be exploited and persecuted for their differences. Magnus wanted to believe in Charles's philosophy, but his Auschwitz experience kept creeping back to haunt him, and he was unwilling to stand by and watch that terrible history repeat itself all over again with a different set of players.

While Charles chose his path towards peace to accomplish his goals, Magnus chose something else entirely: terrorism. Towards that end, he embraced terrorist dogma and, along with it, a new name: Magneto.

Biography: A deeply disturbed man, Norman Osborn's obession with power lead him to build a successful chemical and technologies plant. When an experiment went awry, the inner demons he'd been hiding all of his life came to the surface in the form of the Green Goblin, a dark and malicious personality.

After Spider-Man interferred in his various plans to increase his power-base in the underworld, the Goblin made it his business to find the masked hero's secret identity, and he was shocked to learn it was a classmate and friend of his own son's. Spider-Man managed to subdue the Goblin's madness several times, but eventually Norman's entire psyche broke down when, at the same time, his company sank into debt and his son sucumbed to a drug addiction.

Attempting to kill Peter Parker once and for all, the Goblin raced to his apartment, only to find Parker's girlfriend, Gwen Stacy. Taking her as a hostage, the Goblin baited a trap for Spider-Man; when the hero arrived, Norman threw Stacy off the Brooklyn Bridge, killing her.

Guest ScirosDarkblade
I'm joining. As the biggest Bat-fan on Otakuboards, expect enthusiastic contribution from me.

Name: BATMAN
Real Name: Bruce Wayne
Age: 35-ish

Bio: Eveyone knows Batman's origins. No point in re-hashing them.

Most recently Batman finally completed the tedious process of clearing his name after being framed for murder by Lex Luthor. In retaliation Bruce Wayne had Talia Head sell all of Luthor's assets to WayneCorp. and left the ex-president with nothing.

He has also recently helped Superman rescue a mind-controlled Supergirl from the despot Darkseid, actually confronting the villain in hald-to-hand combat (properly armed, of course).

Actually, all of the current continuity arcs are godawful; I'm not even sure if Drake has returned as Robin yet.

Notes: Given that this story is chock-full of metahumans, my Batman will occasionally be in "JLA mode," by which I mean you can expect him to be equipped with completely ridiculous technology if the situation calls for it. In other words, taking on someone like the Joker will require just very clever thinking, but Darkseid requires a bit more of a brute force approach so things like a Mother Box and stolen Apokoliptian armor might be in order.

Just a suggestion, Domon: the 6-person team of villains you've collected is extremely weak considering what would be necessary to give the rest of the DCU and Marvel Universe grief. The JLA would be more than enough to handle them, let alone given assistance from everyone else.

BIOGRAPHY (Warning, Very Long)

The life of Jean-Paul Beaubier started with a tragedy, as soon after his and his sister Jeanne-Marie?s birth, their parents were killed in an accident. The twins were brought to their mother?s cousins, the Martins, but they could not afford to adopt both children, so they arranged for Jeanne-Marie to be raised in a girls school, which was government subsidized. Shortly afterwards, the Martins moved to northern Quebec because the father, who was with the RCMP, had been posted there. By the time, Jean-Paul was six years old, history repeated itself, as the Martins too died in an accident. The boy was brought to a foster home and the twins grew up unaware of each other.

When Jean-Paul was in his early teens, he was caught shop-lifting by Raymonde Belmonde. The kind man saw more than just a petty thief and realized the boy?s loneliness and confusion. Belmonde spoke to Jean-Paul to freedom of choice and helped him understand and accept who and what he was - a mutant and gay. Without ever asking for anything in return, Raymonde made it his business to see that Jean-Paul steered right and also took him skiing, which he used as a means to learn to control his growing power of superspeed.

In the next months, Jean-Paul joined a circus, where he worked as a trapeze artist. He was welcomed without question or reservation and, soon, the new-made friends became the family he had never known. However, beneath the surface, there was also a lot of anger, built up in years of silence and frustration.

Jean-Paul finally found a way to express this anger when he joined the Front de Liberation du Quebec (FLQ), a separatist movement that petitioned for recognition of Quebec as a sovereign nation through loud protests and acts of terrorism. Soon, Jean-Paul became part of a radical underground group of the FLQ called Cell Combattre. Northstar acted as special courier, carrying their communiqués too swiftly to allow detection or interception. Yet once Jean-Paul realized that Cell Combattre did not even stop when it came to murder, he severed all ties with them.

Jean-Paul decided to become a professional skier and, by cheating a little with his superpowers of speed and flight, he quickly rose to fame, as he won Olympic gold medals and other championships. By that time, Jeanne-Marie had already recruited by Department H and, seeing a picture of Jean-Paul in the newspaper, James McDonald Hudson, Alpha Flights founder, recognized the uncanny resemblance. Closer examination of their birth and adoption records revealed their history and Department H invited Jean-Paul Martin too. Learning his history, he almost immediately changed his last name into what it originally had been and soon found himself arriving at Parliament Hill. At first, Jean-Paul had no intention of working for the government, but this changed when he was introduced to his twin sister. Shaking hands, the siblings discovered that they possessed one more ability ? to generate a brilliant dazzling light upon physical contact.

Jean-Paul told Hudson of his terrorist activities in the past but, as he had severed all ties to the FLQ, Hudson decided to keep it secret. Using the codenames Aurora and Northstar, the siblings entered Department H?s Flight program, where they met other potential recruits for Canada?s own superhero team. One year later, Alpha Flight was ready for their first mission which, ironically, was to hunt down one of their own ? Wolverine, a recruit of Department H who had defected and joined the American X-Men instead. Alpha Flight did hold their ground in this first battle, but they caused much destruction in Calgary. Although they managed to capture Logan, he quickly escaped again. Ultimately, the government decided to finally let him go, as they were beginning to fear that they could afford an official superhero team and the damages caused by their battles.

Indeed, only a few weeks later, Department H was closed and their operatives had to go back to their former lives. When Northstar visited Jeanne-Marie in the school in which she had been raised and was now working as a teacher, he found his sister almost a complete stranger. The usually free-spirited Aurora was very reserved and shy, her beautiful features hidden behind a pair of glasses and some prissy clothes. His sister was actually a split persona and Alpha Flight had given her the strength to maintain the light Aurora-mood, which was actually hated and feared by the ?Jeanne-Marie? persona. Northstar managed to snap her back into Aurora and, together, they answered a call from the Hudsons, who wanted to keep Alpha Flight running even without governmental funding.

In following weeks, Aurora kept switching personalities more often, even in the heart of the battle, much to the concern of her lover Walter Langkowski, aka Sasquatch, and her brother, who did not approve of that relationship. Finally, Jean-Paul took her to a psychiatrist, but the break between her personalities was so total that the doctor could not detect it after his first meeting with ?Jeanne-Marie?. Northstar wondered how he could make the psychiatrist realize his sister?s condition without telling him their secret identities, which were linked to the personality changes. Further, the doctor warned that, even if he would diagnose her to be a split-persona, he could not simply cure Jeanne-Marie and erase one identity. A attempt would probably form a third persona, unlike either of the other two. Northstar thanked him and decided to think about it.

Since they already happened to be in the neighborhood, Northstar took his sister to Raymonde Belmonde. Shortly thereafter, an attack of a purse-snatcher once more triggered her transformation into Aurora. Jean-Paul?s old friend introduced them to his daughter Danielle, whose existence had only recently been revealed to him. Suddenly, the friendly reunion was interrupted by a criminal called Ernest St. Ives. As Raymonde had refused to sell his café, the gangster brutally killed him and also kidnapped his daughter to force her to sell the building to him. Yet, as he had never seen the woman before, he accidentally kidnapped Aurora instead.

Northstar managed to track them down and was joined by a strange heroine called Nemesis. Together, they battled their way to St. Ives and found Aurora unharmed, sitting on his desk. After Nemesis had effectively dealt with the villain, Aurora revealed that Danielle had been his silent partner in the murder of Raymonde, which also explained why he had not harmed Aurora, as he thought her to be Danielle. Northstar was relieved. He admitted that he had suspected that his sister had romanced herself to safety, much to Aurora?s shock. Outraged, she ended their partnership and never wanted to see her bother again.

Aurora kept true to her word, as even in the next missions of Alpha Flight, she refused to address her brother or respond to his pleas for forgiveness. Not even the death of Alpha Flight?s founder and leader, Guardian, changed that. When several weeks later, Guardian?s wife, Heather, decided to honor his memory by keeping Alpha Flight running, she also contacted Northstar, but he turned her down, explaining that so far he was only associated with the team because of his sister. [Alpha Flight (1st series) #12,18] At the same time, Aurora did her best to further separate herself from her twin. She had her lover, Sasquatch, alter her powers and, although now able to generate light on her own, she was no longer as fast as Jean-Paul. Sensing her ?Jeanne-Marie? personality surfacing again, she also gave herself a new hairdo and designed a revealing costume to strengthen the ?Aurora? side of her psyche.

Yet all this effort was useless as ?Jeanne-Marie? shortly gained dominance and, disgusted by the romantic affections of the ?animal? Sasquatch, she fled into the arms of her brother. Jean-Paul was quite surprised to find his sister knocking at his door, but took her in. At first, he was tempted to call Sasquatch and tell him she was safe, but then thought that this was the perfect chance to sort things out.

The next day, he took Jeanne-Marie to Clementine D?Arbanville, an old friend from his circus / terrorist days. Actually, Clementine had some problems, as her circus had been slowly infiltrated by Pink Pearl and her operatives. The obese woman had been hired to assassinate Canada?s prime minister and the US president during a secret meeting. Knowing of Clementine?s terrorist past, Pearl had chosen to launch the bomb from the circus so that the Separatists would get blamed for the murders. During the crisis, ?Aurora? awoke and, together, the siblings handled the danger. However, she now knew of Northstar's past within the FLQ and threatened to tell the rest of Alpha Flight.

When the X-Men picked up a psychic distress call from Cyclops and his wife, Madelyne, on their way to Alaska, they at first believed Alpha Flight responsible. The misunderstanding led to a brief battle, during which Rogue absorbed Northstar?s powers and memories, learning all his secrets. After the two teams pooled their resources to find what really was going on, Rogue apologized for the intrusion, explaining that she could not control her powers. The odd pair actually found they had much in common, both native French speakers, both loners and outcasts among their teams. Yet while Northstar?s powers gave him everything in life ? fame and fortune ? Rogue could only hope of leading a real life without her powers. Only a few hours later, her wish came true. The heroes found the missing people in a strange Viking village, where a mysterious fire fountain granted them super powers. Madelyne Pryor, now a healer, cured Rogue and, needing somebody to test if she could really control her powers, Northstar volunteered, much to everyone?s surprise.

As the gifts and miracle cures later turned out to be the doing of Loki, the Asgardian god of lies, it was clear that a price was involved ? in this instance, all people involved with magic (Shaman, Snowbird, Talisman, etc.) were severely weakened and slowly dying. Everyone agreed that things needed to be set back to normal. Rogue again lost her cure but, in the short time the teams had worked together, she had gained a new friend in Northstar.

Some weeks later, Northstar found himself summoned to an ancient magical place way up north. Talisman had called for him - Alpha Flight was about to enter the Realm of the Great Beasts to search for Walter Langkowski?s soul, which was lost as his body, actually possessed by Tanaraq of these Great Beasts, had been slain in battle. Upon hearing that Aurora still had not forgiven him, Northstar prepared to depart immediately, but Snowbird used some possessive power to make him stay and accompany them. Once in the lair of these Beasts, Alpha Flight learned that Walter?s soul was kept in the Well of Sorrows. To free it, three forces had to unite: love, hate and power. Aurora was obviously the love part and, against his objections, Northstar was chosen to represent hate. Talisman rounded up the trio and the three heroes ventured into the dark well ? which turned out to be a trap nearly costing them their lives. In the end, Walter's soul freed itself and the team returned to earth, only to discover that Walter?s body had crumbled to dust in the meantime. Still, there was some hope left as the soul found a temporary home in the Box armor.

Following this battle, Aurora told the rest of Alpha Flight about her brother?s past and the matter was vividly discussed. Yet before any decision was reached, the team was again called to an emergency and the subject was dropped.

Not before long, Walter Langkowski yearned for a new, real body, as he knew that, sooner or later, Aurora would turn away from a man trapped in a robotic hide. With the help of fellow scientist, Roger Bochs, he located a humanoid strong body in another dimension and pulled it to Earth ? only to discover that it was the Hulk. Walter could not bring himself to take over the body of his friend Bruce Banner, so his soul became lost between dimensions. Seeing her lover die for the second time, Aurora was in tears and Jean-Paul comforted her. When he too started crying, she realized that he must have had deep feelings for Langkowski as well.

Despite their loss, the team had still to deal with the Hulk, who started to rampage in the middle of Vancouver. Seeing all their teammates defeated, the siblings decided to try to blind their opponent with their dazzling lightburst, yet touching each other ? the desired result did not happen. Instead, the twins? touch now temporary negated each other?s powers, an unexpected side-effect of Aurora?s modification. Fortunately, the Hulk was driven off otherwise and he returned southwards to the US.

The incident convinced the government that Canada?s own hero team was really needed and they again started to fund Alpha Flight. Northstar, too, returned to full active status. After several successful missions of the again official team, once more Northstar?s past came back to haunt him. Alpha Flight was summoned by a Commander Giles McHeath, who informed them that somebody was tracking down and killing the members of Cell Combattre, including Clementine D?Arbanville, despite all members had long abandoned political violence. Jean-Paul immediately rushed away to help his friends, but actually McHeath himself was the killer and he followed Northstar through Alpha Flight?s tracking device. When Alpha Flight realized that they were followed, they lured McHeath into a trap and at least managed to save two of the six former terrorists. Because of his limited role in Cell Combattre, Canada?s Prime Minister pardoned Northstar for any past indiscretions and he could continue to serve among the Alpha Flight.

Disgusted by his sister toying around with the feelings of the legless Roger Bochs, Northstar took a few days off to appear at a ski exhibition meets. He was as good as ever and the crowd wondered why he ever retired from his sports career. While Jean-Paul was giving autographs, a young woman jumped off a cliff, apparently trying to commit suicide. Northstar had no choice but to expose himself and save her. After a first shock, the spectators realized that the retired ski champion was a mutant with superspeed and he was immediately accused of cheating. After admitting that he could not tell whether he was subconsciously allowing his powers to give him an edge, Northstar stated that he would foreswear from the sport he loved more than life itself and walked away.

He was followed by a single person, Kara Killgrave, the daughter of the Purple Man. She had been a fan of Beaubier her whole life and only recently discovered her persuasive powers. In fact, she had accidentally caused the woman to jump and wanted to apologize. Yet, inexperienced with her abilities, Northstar ended up under her control too.

Temptation was too strong and Kara ordered Jean-Paul to be her boyfriend. He took her to an exotic island, where they went swimming only to discover that water filtered out Purple Girl?s pheromones. Himself again, Northstar was annoyed of her claims that she loved him, and told her that one does not manipulate those one loves. For a brief moment, Northstar pondered to leave Kara alone on that island with nobody to enthrall. Panicking, she again took control of him and ordered him to take her to Alpha Flight. The team was not sure what to make of her at first, though eventually she was given training status. Only Northstar still held a grudge.

In the next weeks, Northstar developed a nasty cough and even minor wounds received in battle took very long to heal. His condition took even a turn for the worse when the team encountered an ancient sorcerer by the name of Pestilence. Sensing an already existing decay within Northstar?s body, Pestilence kissed him to feed on this disease and make himself stronger. When Northstar asked what he was talking about, the villain explained that Northstar was dying and that he had accelerated the slow disease spreading like a cancer through his cells.

Indeed, Northstar?s health deteriorated, but the resurrection of Walter Langkowski provided some distraction. His soul having taken over the white Sasquatch body of the recently deceased Snowbird, Langkowski now found himself trapped in a woman?s body. While getting to know ?Wanda? Langkowski, Northstar admitted that, like his sister, he preferred the man he was and that he cried when Alpha Flight thought they had lost him. Sasquatch was startled by that revelation, but Northstar brushed off. Feeling the effects of his disease, he wanted to be alone to think about the life he led.

At the same time, Aurora?s mind became more and more unbalanced. Her flirtation with Roger Bochs caused him to undergo a risky operation to regain his legs, which cost him his sanity and ultimately his life. She also developed an unreasonable fear of the dark and her personalities fractured. Remembering the fire-fountain of the magical Viking village, Alpha Flight ventured north, hoping to find some way to cure both of the twins. Finding a rose, blooming out of frozen Tundra, they knew that some of the magic still had to be there. The team reached the cavern of the fire-fountain, but the energy was no longer there. Instead, they found a doorway at the bottom of the pit and, thinking that the magical energy might have come from there, they opened it and entered a maze of dark tunnels. Northstar suddenly started to burn with a fever and the others had to carry him. As this slowed the team down, Aurora opted to stay at his side and tend to his needs, while the rest of the team moved on to search for the magical cure. Soon, Loki revealed his presence to the twins and told them of their true heritage. According to Loki, Jean-Paul and Jeanne-Marie were actually half-elves, born to a human father and an elf mother, who had abandoned her people. Yet the other members of her race hunted her down and actually caused the car accident in which the couple got killed. Their status as half-elves explained the twins powers of speed and light, as well as their pointed ears. Yet Loki also said that the pure elf blood in their veins could not survive for long on the impure Earth. In Northstar?s case, this resulted in physical illness, while Aurora was affected mentally. Only the pure light of Alfheim could cure them, but the team had chosen a wrong gateway, sending them to a dark netherworld. With these words, Loki left the siblings to their fate. Jeanne-Marie tried to hold back the attacking demons for as long as she could, until she had an idea. As an infusion of pure light was the cure, she willingly expended all her power to bathe Northstar in white brilliance. Indeed, Northstar?s health was restored, though the powerless Jeanne-Marie was dragged away by demons.

Elsewhere in the maze, the rest of the team had run into other demons and the only way to save themselves was to retreat. Along the way, they picked up Northstar and, once they had escaped, Vindicator fused the gate shut so that none of the demons could make it to Earth. However, it was also the end for Aurora and Puck, who were still trapped in the netherworld. Once the team was back on the surface in the Arctic wasteland, Northstar stated that Loki indeed was a trickster. They had come to cure two Alphans and lost three. The others wondered who the third might be, as he started to glow and then departed into the sky. There, a gate opened and two elves welcomed Jean-Paul to Asgard. From afar, Loki watched in amusement, but he suddenly was summoned to the higher gods, who demanded an explanation for his behavior. Loki claimed to have had good intentions and, to prove his seriousness, he transported Puck to Tibet and Aurora, now a mere mortal without powers, was transported to a monastery. Still, the gods sensed mischief from Loki and, as punishment, he was sent to the nether realm, preventing him from fulfilling whatever plans he might have had for Northstar.

Already having arriving in Alfheim, the region of Asgard that the elves call their home, Northstar realized that Loki had been lying. When he told the elves of his supposed heritage, they laughed at Northstar for believing Loki?s fairy tale. Jean-Paul was now stranded in Asgard and had no way to get back to Earth or contact his teammates. He spent many months in the realm of the Norse gods, until he was captured by a group of trolls, who intended to sacrifice him to their god and eat his flesh. Before they could perform the rite, Northstar was rescued by a some reserve members of Alpha Flight, including his still-powerless sister. As Alpha Flight was about to battle Llan the sorcerer, Talisman had decided that they needed every available member, so she had sent Jeanne-Marie, Purple Girl, Pathway and Goblyn to Asgard. Once they had effectively dealt with the trolls, they took Northstar and teleported back home.

Talisman was right with her prediction. When Llan?s forces invaded Earth, the odds were overwhelming. Not only Alpha Flight and its trainees, but also the newly-formed Gamma Flight entered the battle. Aurora, too, accompanied them, despite her powerlessness, but she claimed that, like every other Alphan, she was trained in hand-to-hand combat. Yet, against demons twice her size and much stronger than her, fighting techniques were pretty useless and, soon, Jeanne-Marie was about to end up as ?fresh meat.? Northstar immediately rushed to her side and protected her. He then got an idea, since she had sacrificed all her power to him, maybe he could give some of that back to her and, surprisingly, it worked.
Her powers were fully restored and, touching each other, brother and sister again created their brilliant light effect. The demons feared this living light, providing Talisman with some extra time battling Llan. She told the speedsters to enlist Dr. Strange's help and, with his magical powers added to her own, the demonic invasion was finally prevented.

At first, the twins? powers seemed to have returned to their original status. However, it turned out that, over the long phase of dormancy, Aurora?s power had evolved even further. Still able to generate light on her own, she now manifested it as a life-energy based light, using it to heal, to hypnotize or to empathically affect others. Although the transfer seems to have given Northstar the power to shine by himself, he apparently is not capable of using the light in the many ways that his sister does and only uses it very rarely. Following the incident with Llan, the sorcerer, Department H had about twenty potential members for a revamped Flight program and it took some time to figure out who of the assembled heroes should be assigned to which fields of work. Northstar ended up as a full active member of the main team, while Aurora preferred to be part of the reserve team, Beta Flight, and work with the psychiatric counseling unit for Alpha Flight?s incarcerated prisoners.

Somewhat later, Canada became the center of attention of an alien group called the Consortium, who were looking for the woman known only as Her. It took the combined might of Alpha Flight and the Avengers to deal with the invading forces. Meanwhile, another incident happened within Alpha Flight?s headquarters. Awaking from a coma she had been in for weeks, Pathway panicked and teleported everyone in the room away, including her parents, Persuasion, Shaman and (as it seemed) Aurora, who all had been watching over the young girl. As she had teleported across dimension before, the group could have ended up literally anywhere and, as soon as the alien attack was prevented, Northstar went to Dr. Strange for help. Accompanied by Sersi and the Vision of the Avengers, they traveled to the Crossroads of Time and started searching, opening doors to each and every reality. However, soon creatures came through these doors that Strange had to leave open, or the group would never have found back. It was Northstar who decided to call of the search, for it was too dangerous. The search team could have been killed and the attackers would have been free to invade dimension after dimension. Jean-Paul thanked the magician for his effort and returned to Canada. After all these months, he had to accept that he lost his sister once more.

Little did he know that Aurora was closer than anyone thought. She had not been teleported away with the others, but actually left the room at superspeed a few splitseconds before, to join the battle outside. Yet, passing along the psychiatric detention facility, the psi-sensitive Aurora was manipulated by one of the prisoners, Headlok, who made her enter his cell. Unnoticed by the staff, he kept her hidden for weeks and enjoyed torturing her by shattering her merged psyche into the many split personalities ? the happy-go-lucky Aurora, the nun, the healer, the scared girl and the heartbreaker were all playthings for Headlok. Returning from one of the team?s many missions, Northstar sensed his sister?s pain and rushed to the cell block, but he did not know how to deal with the villain without causing Aurora further harm. It transpired that she needed no help. Headlok made the same error, like many before him, thinking her multiple personality order a weakness. However, Aurora could also draw strength from numbers. From the farthest recess of her mind, the cold, stiff ?Jeanne-Marie? personality resurfaced and she accomplished alone what before had taken the combined effort of Alpha Flight and the Fantastic Four. She defeated Headlok by causing her cleansing light to erupt from within the villain?s body. Deeper examinations revealed that Aurora?s mind had now returned to it?s original spilt-personality, though the two personalities now both could wield the body?s mutant powers and jointly took one of the empty spots on the team?s active roster, left open because of Box and Diamond Lil?s getting married. Although Northstar was not sure of this decision, he was happy to have his sister back ? both of her. [Alpha Flight (1st series) #104]

While the team was battling Mr. Hyde in downtown Toronto, Northstar heard a sound from a nearby alley. He did a quick search and indeed found his suspicion to be true ? an abandoned baby was lying in one of the rubbish bins. He immediately left the battle to take the little girl to the next emergency room, where she was closely examined. Unfortunately, the doctors diagnosed that the little infant had been infected with AIDS while still in the womb. Jean-Paul adopted the baby, naming her Joanne Beaubier, and Alpha Flight did various publicity stunts to remind everyone of AIDS and of the importance to talk about it. Weeks later, little Joanne died in Northstar?s arms. The next day, Northstar held a press conference, during which he announced his homosexuality, hoping that his status as a celebrity and role-model would increase the media?s interest in the topic of HIV information and prevention. Several weeks later, Canada?s parliament was considering a super-powers bill, very similar to the Mutant Registration Act of the United States. The strongest supporter of this movement was a politician named Robert Hagon, who did his best to make Alpha Flight look bad in the public eye. Soon, Canada faced it?s own wave of anti-mutant / superhero hysteria and Department H decided to shut down the Flight programs and lay low for a while. While most other members quietly accepted this decision, Northstar was outraged and refused to accept the ?offered? terms ? the Alpha Flight members were limited to advisory roles and still bound by the official secrets act. Jean-Paul stated that this was no way to repay them for the many times the risked their lives in the line of duty. After all, beneath his costume he was a free man that neither words nor government could control. He angrily departed.

Following Alpha Flight?s disbanding, Northstar was stalked by several reporters who were interested in his activities. One of them kept asking about the Quebec City Bus station bombing, an incident that happened during his days with the FLQ, but Jean-Paul avoided answering. Later that day, this reporter was found killed and evidence seemed to point towards Northstar. Therefore, Canada?s government assigned Weapon Prime to bring him in. About the same time, Jean-Paul discovered that some of his closest friends had been targeted by Arcade. For about 24 hours, Northstar was kept busy, flying to Paris and Russia, disarming several bombs and rescuing his friends, as well as battling Weapon Prime. When he finally got to Arcade, the owner of Murderworld claimed that he had been hired for the job and told Northstar the address where he would find the mastermind behind it all. Too exhausted to fly or use his speed, Jean-Paul had to rent a car to get to Vancouver, wondering which of Alpha Flight?s many villains was behind this scheme. To his surprise, it was a businessman named Carl Kerridge, a man who Northstar did not know. Kerridge in turn had made it his business to know everything about him.
Wanting to cleanse society of any abnormities, he had chosen to terminate Northstar for making a stand. As a gay man and a mutant, Jean-Paul seemed the perfect target. Stating that Arcade?s purpose was to tire him, Kerridge then started to fight Jean-Paul, intending to kill him. He also kept reminding him of the victims of the Quebec incident, trying to break Northstar?s fighting spirit, though this proved to be a mistake. When, years ago, the FLQ planted the bomb at the bus station, they were unaware of one of the busses returning late. It?s passengers would have died, though Northstar saved them in time. Still, the news reported of several people having died, as the government was eager to turn the incident into propaganda material. Thus, Kerridge actually reminded Jean-Paul of an hours of heroism and he managed to defeat him. In the villa, Jean-Paul found enough evidence that linked Kerridge with the murder of the reporter and he was put into custody.

Alpha Flight?s disbanding also took it?s toll on Aurora. At first, she entered a happy relationship with teammate, Weapon Omega, but when he mutated back into his feral, ugly incarnation, he abandoned her, fearing the effects it would have on Aurora to see her lover in this state. Yet this was exactly the worst he could do to her. For a time, she blamed herself for his departure and then she swore that if she could not have him, then nobody else should. Going over the edge, Aurora hunted Kyle down, who, by then, had joined the American-based X-Factor and was eager to kill him. Northstar and Puck went after her and brought her back to Department H, where they arranged some psychological treatment for her. Yet, they too had no proper means to treat her and, on top of it all, she was abducted by the Brotherhood. Later, Havok released her when he destroyed the Brotherhood from within and Aurora disappeared.

Northstar went searching for his sister all around the globe and, strangely, he found himself drawn to the school where she had been raised. Although the building was in ruins after being destroyed by a fire, Aurora really was inside, more lunatic than ever, as she seemed to be teaching a class of non-existing children. Sitting in the classroom, Jean-Paul fell asleep and, when he finally came around, Aurora was gone again, though she left a message on the board: ?Help Me?. Next, he tracked her down to the North Pole, where she again eluded him.

Finally, he found some help in Sasquatch, Shaman and the original Guardian. Not only could they temporarily stabilize Jeanne-Marie?s mind, but also they found the reason for her odd behavior. The confused woman had gone to the recently re-opened Department H for help but, instead of giving her any treatment, she, like Diamond Lil, was infected with some new bacteria to determine it?s effects on superhumans. In Aurora?s case, it was ?eating away? every layers of her many personalities and about to reach the core of her mind. The original team confronted the replacements and, once the Department?s secret experiments were exposed, the bacteria?s effects were reversed. In the wake of these discoveries, the original team were given back official status.

However, Jean-Paul only remained a short time with the team. Believing his sister in safe hands among their teammates, he soon left to make further use of his status as a gay celebrity. Northstar wrote a book entitled ?Born Normal? and, during it?s promotion tour, he was approached by Jean Grey, who asked him to join an interim team of X-Men. Magneto was about to start a third world war, but most of the X-Men were unavailable to deal with this crisis. Northstar only reluctantly accepted and the fact that Paulie Provenzano, another member of this makeshift group, was a strict homophobe did not make this decision easier. Once Magneto had been stopped and the crisis had passed, the members of Jean?s emergency group departed to pick up their former lives.

Back in Montreal, Quebec, Jean-Paul concentrated more on building himself a life outside of the world of mutants and heroes and established himself as a successful businessman. However, not before long, he was contacted by Professor Charles Xavier, who, with more and more students being accepted into his school, asked him to take a position at his Institute. Beaubier declined, having no interest in further proposing mutant rights, but the professor corrected him in this wrong assumption. He deliberately asked him because of him being gay. Mutants, Xavier told him, are not the only minority in the world and his students need role models. Xavier repeated his offer that Jean-Paul could teach business and economy at the Institute and the Canadian promised to give it some serious thought. As a sign of good will, he also agreed on helping the X-Men in investigating an incredibly powerful new mutant signature near Fort Albany. It turned out that it was a young mutant who had just manifested a very destructive power, which periodically released itself in devastating explosions. The boy had no control over this and Northstar tried to fly him to Avengers mansion, which had a special chamber prepared for the child. Unfortunately, despite his speed, Jean-Paul was not fast enough as, during the flight, several explosions occurred, injuring both the boy and Northstar. Although it meant placing his own life at risk, Northstar stuck with the boy to the very end. After the final explosion that killed the young mutant, Jean-Paul was taken to the mansion?s infirmary, where he accepted Xavier?s offer.

While recovering from the wounds he received, Northstar befriended school nurse Annie Ghazikhanian, who was the first to discover that he suffered from the same problem as her; they both loved a man who didn?t respond. While for Annie it was the comatose Havok, Northstar was attracted to his teammate, Iceman, though as he was sure that Bobby was heterosexual, he urged Annie not to tell anyone.

Before long, the X-Men found themselves against the operatives of a company called Lobo Enterprises, which actually was a subdivision of Worthington Industries, though Archangel never knew about it. Northstar was majorly annoyed by this, as although he only owned a few shares of Worthington?s Industries, he still was better informed about it than the big man himself. He reminded Warren of the duties that come along with inheriting such a vast fortune as his.

Pretty soon after his joining the X-Men, Northstar was forced to oppose his old teammates from Alpha Flight in a conflict over a Canadian teenager that had enrolled at Xavier?s. Up to this point, Alpha Flight had not even known that Northstar was back in action, yet alone working with the American based team.
While the crisis was temporarily dealt with by the Canadian mutant returning home, the conflict arose anew when Northstar accompanied the Juggernaut on a visit to Vancouver to check on the boy. Already, during the flight tempers were hot, as the two uneasy teammates entered an argument about homosexuality. Once arrived, both men were shocked to see the mutant kid being beaten up by his father, resulting in the Juggernaut starting a fight and Alpha Flight being called to the scene. It only ended when the Juggernaut was put on trial in Canada, but cleared of the charges.

Back at Xavier?s, Northstar also started teaching the newer students; for example, he tutors a flight class. Also, he has been picked as personal advisor for several students, but, while he is trying to be fair to the students, he is not that popular among them for his strict and stern attitude. Some of them even asked to be assigned to another personal instructor.

With Xavier heading to Genosha and several senior X-Men returning back home, the school?s new headmaster, Cyclops, shuffled the rosters of the three different X-Men groups somewhat, Northstar being among none of the line-ups. Despite him never having wanted to be on active duty that much and not having formed too many personal relationships with any his teammates, Jean-Paul seemed somewhat annoyed by being ?downgraded? to a mere teaching position.
