So Cold is a great song. Great music video as well. Haven't listened to their other songs though. Seems that when I like a song, all their other songs song. I am hesitant to try. But I might got and download a few now, if the CD in itself is good.

oh i love them so much... i could like be their new stalker. tho they arent as heavy as i wish for them to be i like them a lot. i have their new album and its really good. his voice can change from hi to low and it makes him stand out from all of the other singers. its a very good album. you all should buy it. even though the sounds dont sound as if they have any meaning, you have to listen to the guitar and it will tell you :: hugs her guitar:: my baby

You, too? Yeah, I love Breaking Benjamin with a passion unrivaled...They have such a unique way of singing and playing their instruments, I love how it's soft and melodious for the good part of the song, and then Ben just starts screaming. It's awesome. And don't even get me started on the intro to Follow!Absolutely mind boggling how they can be so darned good. I may only have their CD "We Are Not Alone", but it's my favorite CD out of my whole tiny collection.

My opinion is very singled out here but oh well:

We Are Not Alone a piece of hackneyed, passionless, talentless, sell-out garbage. If you have to listen to Breaking Benjamin, at least stick to the first album where they halfway showed some promise.

I bought We Are Not Alone after hearing "So Cold". It was a strong single, so I thought I'd pick up the disc. Mistake.

The entire rest of the album is filler! It's almost like they knew So Cold would sell records, so they rushed the rest of the CD. This isn't music, it's marketing. Oh, by the way: THEY DON'T EVEN WRITE THEIR OWN SONGS. Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins wrote most of the album for them.

The songwriting is bland and the vocals are monotonous. By the end of the album, I was so utterly dissapointed, bored, and disgusted I couldn't believe it. I gave it a few more spins (namely because my girlfriend loved them - but guess what? She got bored of them too!), and every time was worse than the last. Did I mention the songwriting is really really really bland?

The best songs on the album are So Cold and Follow. They also happen to be the only songs with any energy behind them. Oh, by the way, Follow sucks, and So Cold is mediocre. At least there's a guitar solo somewhere in there, even though any six-year-old with a guitar could play the thing twice as fast.

In conclusion - this is a fad band that the masses are gobbling up because MTV says they're cool. Hopefully they'll follow suit with all the other hacks they belong with and dissapate into the swirling void of bad music that nobody listens to anymore (kind of like Nickelback!).

I support Jake, as usual lol.

Even after hearing "So Cold" I wasn't all that impressed. Sure, the song was catchy and it'll get stuck in your head after a couple listens, but once you get down to the dirt of the album you'll be disappointed. From the outside looking in you'll probably see a very talented band, but it's far from their true nature.

As Jake stated, the band was merely for show. They seldom write their own lyrics, the music is repeatative and boring. There just isn't any passion, even at live shows they just don't seem all that into it. Of course, they've found droves of fans just as all the other MTV rock bands have. Music they call "rock" because it simply includes a guitar, it's basically pop with some rifts involved. And their popularity will decline as all the others have, Nickelback, Seether, Limp Bizkit, all the same.

I was referring to Seether merely because of their popularity concerning the song "Broken," which was more or less a one hit wonder. No other song by Seether has become near as popular, and I'm not a fan of the band really. They have lots of mellow songs, which are alright if that's what you're into, but even the upbeat songs don't impress me much.

I consider them an MTV rock band because when "Broken" was popular it was on TV ALL the time. Just watch MTV All Things Rock and you'll see the more current MTV rock bands. The Click Five, Relient K, Velvet Revolver, Papa Roach, etc. etc. Papa Roach being the only band that mildly appeals to me among the many on the show.

My mom bought me the new (Or, at least, I think it's their new CD...) Papa Roach CD yesterday, and I have to say I think I do like it better than Breaking Benjamin...It's kind of funny though, my stepdad refuses to listen to it because he thinks their name is stupid. :animesigh But I know he's heard their song "Getting Away With Murder"...Maybe I have to stick it in the CD player and play it for him today...

EDIT: I like Nickelback, Seether, and Limp Bizkit...But I hate MTV!

Well, it's not as if he's missing much...

And what happened to Papa Roach, anyway? Their first album was decent as far as Nu-Metal goes. I finally heard Getting Away With Murder... pop music? Since when was Papa Roach a pop band? Not that Nu-Metal is far from pop, but this is rediculous...
