Inu500
Yeah I'm 15, so what. If you look at the polls, most people on hear are around 15 or are 16,17,18. Age really doesn't matter. :flaming:
Atticus Bane
I remember rico When I joined back at V 2 for the first time I was around 12 or 13 and now I'm 17. Not as much into anime as I was back then. Then I used to be hardcore DBZ but now I just kinda watch anime movies and that's about it.
Mamma Vash
Gyaaaaaa. So far I've voted the highest...still..... I know there are people over 27! Now post so I don't feel so bad.. :<
No, there are others in the oldest category---- I am older than 36, but by how much I am just going to let be. I smile when some folks state that they do not list their age, because they feel no one would listen to them, too young. I mostly spend time "talking" to friends through myO, but I met most of my friends through Otakuboards. I joined as I really enjoy anime, but many things eluded me, and I found background here helpful to understand some of the stories. I still enjoy anime very much, but the people I have met here are the very best.

BlueYoshi
I will be 18 tomorow. I'm not an anime person, nor do I really like it. What sparks my interest are video games. Not only do I love playing them, but I love evaluating them and keeping up with the latest news in the industry... you know, kinda like gossip, except it's for nerds. :D
Guest Heezay
I'm 15, turning 16 in a few weeks. I've been here for a while, a year or so, I can't really rememeber. Even though I'm not a noob anymore, I'm basically unknown and/or ignored. Even though I come to these boards a lot, I hardly post at all. Just too lazy for it, I guess.

Billy Shears
I'm sixteen, but I still post in the anime threads because I just got into anime around the same time I joined the OtakuBoards, which was about 7-8 months ago. I hope I'll still be into anime, on the count of I've spent too much time watching and spending. 30 years old is NOTHING compared to the man that runs my local anime shop. He looks to be 40-50 years old, suprisingly. The old fart has to be an anime fan after reccomending Black Jack and Noir to me. And that old fart has alot of my hard earned money as well. -the one and only

I don't really suppose what age you are, only how you act. I mean there are people who are 20 that still act like childish little 10 year olds. kennet1977
I will state right now that no one is too old to enjoy watching anime it are the people who compare it with cartoons that are aimed for the younger viewers and refuse to watch anime that are missing out on what could be a very entertaining thing. There is a lot of anime out there that are supposed to be aimed towards the more mature viewer, if a person were to check out some of the anime available and check into when and what time it originally aired in Japan they would, I believe, be suprised that many of them were aired close to midnight or later. BTW, I have been placed in the 26-30 range in your poll and have been watching anime for approximately 9 years and was introduced to it by someone almost 10 years older than I am. Guest HiddenFaces
I'm an anime fan and proud of it! Although I agree that college saps any and all resources one may have had for buying anime. I for one resort to TV and library video for some of the shows. I'm 19. Whether that makes me old or young, I'm not sure. I do, however, know that parents and friends think I'm too old to watch cartoons. But when I look at anime in a store--ie, Suncoast Video--or browse a comics store, I feel young and am afraid I'm being grouped with little squeally fangirls. That's not to say that I don't squeal once in a while, or am not a fangirl (I am a female and I am an anime fan...so by definition), but I can also hold a honest to goodness debate on the morals or themes of given anime like it was Homer or Shakespeare or some other lit. studied in class. I retain at least a little maturity and intellect. It's surprising to see how young everyone is...and how mature some of the younger fans can be, compared to some of their older counterparts.

You're thirteen and loving it, yet you want to be older. Much more like the older kids in your neighborhood, going out at night, staying up later, and the like. But on the topic, I wonder how old people think I am. Needless to say, I'm currently fifteen and will be sixteen as of February! W00T! Now, there are several people here that I did not think to believe to be younger than the age I thought they were to be. Now that I have read that, that sounds quite confusing. I meant to say I did not think that there were OB members who were older than how they wrote. I've always thought that Juuthena was 15, Ohkami was 15, Methuselah wrote as if she were either a child prodigy, an intelligent and witty adult, or someone who is a walking dictionary or poet, and many others I thought to be like that as well. I also agree with Juu. Altra
I'm 20 years old and I started watching anime in my early teens. To all of you who wish you were older so you can drive: It's a big pain and people are extremely rude and stupid. I kind of feel stupid for still watching cartoons as my ex said, but I really enjoy them and I know they aren't just cartoons. I wish people were better informed about anime, that it is not just little kids cartoons and that it has a large range of age groups that watch it.
