Ezekiel
Institute of Broken Hearts Ragged breath sounded around the near empty room, a groan and a sharp gasp. The rising of a damp chest, covers askew on the mattress, the body underneath tangled within them, her sleep filled with dreams of pleasure. She wakes suddenly, her breath coming short and sharp, her chest still heaving. She raises a hand to her forehead, feeling the damp layer of sweat covering her pale skin. She opens her eyes to the dark, cursing her mind for once again bringing her to temptation. Why this happens to her she doesn?t know, but some thoughts just refuse to leave her alone. **** The sunrays danced across the dew-covered lawns of a large estate, home to both St. Irvine schools. One, The Institute of Magic and Literature, for only girls, the other the Institute for Magical Sports and Weaponry, for the boys. Both schools are totally separate and male and female students are not allowed to come into contact with each other. Out story focuses on the Institute for Magic and Literature where love is becoming a common occurrence with each passing term. A teenage girl, 15 years of age, pulls herself from her bed; the covers still tangled form the night before. She looks in the mirror and frowns, pulling at her skin. Like all teenage girls she is unhappy with the way she looks, at least she has accepted the fact at last. She pulls on a purple dressing gown and turns to see her best friend, Yedida, standing in the bathroom doorway, her hair looking beautiful as it always does, blue eyes sparkling happily. ?Did you have a good dream last night?? she asks, a smirk on her beautiful and delicate features, her eyes twinkling mischievously. Her friend blushes and looks down, casting her eyes to the window, the summer sun already glistening through the clean glass. ?None of your business?? she sighs and walks to the bathroom, brushing her teeth and getting ready for another school day. A low chuckle escapes from Yedida?s glossy lips, ?We have English Literature first, Imi-chan?? she smiles at the sound of surprised choking coming form the bathroom. **** Imi opened to door to her English class and stepped inside, closely followed by Yedida. She blushed as Talbain-sensei smiled at her, greeting her with a warm 'Good morning, Kagami-chan.' The girl nodded and fixed her hat, hurrying to her seat in the top row of desks*. Yedida bowed to her teacher and smiled, before waving and walking up to sit next to her friend. Imi sighed and let her head drop heavily to the oak desktop, a groan escaping her lips. "Man, I'm such an idiot..." "...Hai, Imi-chan." **** Well, there we have it. Those of you who are in know who you are. Boys, just post as if it's your first lesson, you can come over to visit the girls at lunch which shouldn't be too long from now. The timetable isn't much as there aren't many lessons. Think Harry Potter type things, eg. Transfiguration, Potions, Charms etc. If you get stuck with what lesson to have then PM me. We have English Literature and Drama with Talbain-sensei, though they are different lessons. Have fun everyone, I hope this RP lasts more than 2 pages ^^;; Also, I'm fully aware that I changed my style of writing from the intro to my extra post. It was on purpose. *The class rooms are like halls, the desks go up in rows like you woudl expest in a stadium or a concert hall. The teacer stands in the middle with his/her class around them in a circle. O-Ushi
Tatsuya slumped against the wall, his Seung Tung Chui hanging loosely in his hands. He watched the other students file into the large hall for the first class: Weaponry. The white haired boy sighed, the breath coming out slow and deep, brimming with annoyance. He slipped lower down on the smooth stone wall, until he was in a sitting posistion, one knee drawn p to his chest, one of the melon-headed hammers resting on his thigh. "Oi! Nakadai!" a voice called, deep and throaty It was Toshiro, one of Tatsuya's "closer" cronies. He was huge, with a wide chest and a shaved head. Toshiro was as thick as two short planks, although he did have enough brains to nail those planks together and beat you silly with it. He, like most of the "bullies," tended to hang around Tatsuya, and regularly looked to him for guidance. "What is it, Toshiro?" The big buly stopped by him and grinned, leaning his axe on one shoulder. The older boys were allowed to use real wapons in classes, as the teachers had the somewhat misguide idea that they were mature enouh to use them without killing each other. Needless to say, a practitioner of healing magic always watched over these lessons...just in case. "You missed a proper horrowshow scuffle 'down the halls yesterday, Nakadai. Amon got scarred something brilliant." "Really." "Yeah, mate. Proper horrowshow it were, I tells you." "Do go on." Tatsuya said somewhat resignedly, paying avid attention to the floor. As the bully droned on in his usual fashion, Tatsuya watched the light play off the head of one of his hammers, transfixed by the dancing patterns that chased across its surface. He wondered, briefly, what his sister was doing... **** Himeko just got into class in time by the skin of her teeth. Talbain-sensei gave her a genlt warning look, before motioning for the class to be silent. Himeko hugged her book to her and scurried down the row, taking a seat by a girl she didn't know very well. Her name was...Imi Kagami. Himeko remebered that Imi was very quiet, like Tatsuya. They would probably like each other, if they met. Well...Imi might like Tatsuya, her brother seemed to like the new people he met less and less, nowadays. Himeko sighed. English was her worst subject, she had no flair for language, preferring the ordered, structured forms of alchemy and potion-making. Himeko stopped her musing when she heard Talbain-sensei clear his throat politely but sternly, and she knew class was about to start...
Talon
Draco was in his element. He gesticulated gently, yet meaningfully to his class, his eyes falling many times on Imi Kagami, one of his favorite students. He shook his head clear, covering the gesture with a negative opinion about Shakespeare's reasons for writing his tragedies. He smiled as his students began raising their hands to question his opinions, many coming up with excellent suggestions and opinions of their own. And that made Draco extremely proud of his students, that they were learning to stand on their own. He smiled and brought up a magical Timeline Charm he'd invented some years back, showing the events of Shakespeare's life and pointing out key events in the poet's existence. All too soon, as it was always the opinion of Draco Mathias Talbain, the bell sounded. The students began to replace their things in their bookbags, nearly all of them groaning. "Now, now, students, you'll see me again tomorrow. I want a three-paragraph essay on your opinion of the plot of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" for your homework. And Kagami-chan, I'd like a word with you in my office at lunch. Class dismissed." He smiled inwardly for some reason as Imi looked almost hopeful, but he dashed his own hopes against his mental rocks. There was no way he was falling in love with Imi Kagami! He was her teacher, and nearly a decade older than her. He did not love her beyond a student-sensei relationship! Keep repeating that to yourself, his mind told him, and maybe you'll believe it in a million years. Draco sighed.
Revelation
Sipping on her drink as she began to read a student's report on Wormwood and its uses in potions. She sighed and saw that this student received a C-. Rei shook her head as she looked over the rest and knew that most were slacking off and making others write their papers. The bell rang once again and it signed that class was beginning. The students began filing in and took their seats. After 5 minutes had passed, several students walked in making a racous as they passed by their friends. As soon as they took their seat, Rei stood and walked around to the front of her desk. She leaned back against it and pointed to the five students and called them by their last names, as she always has, "Miroshimi, Hatsuma, Naginashi, Jagenki, and Otomo. Stand up, please." The five students looked to each other from across the room. It was then that Rei began to become strict. "Students, tell me what would happen if anyone disobeys me?" A student raised his hand and Rei pointed to him. His voice was projective and loud, which made evreyone startled and awakened. "Well, Okibi-sensei, if people disobey you, they pay a price." The boy folded his hands and awaited Rei's apparise. "Correct, Mokomi. Those who disobey must pay a price." Her icy eyes looked to the five and they quickly stood. This grabbed their attentions, but Rei was not about to let them off easily. "So, my students, you stood, but not quickly enough. You must still be punished. Now, then, what shall be your punishment?" A certain tone arose in Rei's voice. Her movements were like a tiger, preying on the singled animals in the forest. She held a hand to her mouth and began to act as if to think. "Detention? A meeting with the headmaster? Extra homework? No, those won't do much. I've got it. You five shall research on the antidote of a wrongly used Wolfsbane Potion and I would like them in 500 words or more. Due tomorrow at the end of class." With a sly smile on her face, the students sat down grumbling. She then turned to towards her desk and reached for a goblet. "Today we are going to turn goblets into..." Holding the goblet, Rei said a simple spell and it had turned into a rat. "A rat."
Lilt
On the way out of English, Yedida elbowed Imi's shoulder and started making kissing sounds. Imi started blushing and tried to get Yedida to stop. Yedida was just joking with Imi, but sometiimes she wasn't. Yedida found herself focused on Imi's cute, blushing face, but she shook her head to clear her thoughts. She and Imi were as close as sisters, but Yedida never looked at Imi like that. At least, not until today. Could it be that... No, it couldn't be. Yedida shook her head again and walked to her locker to get all that she needed for a class that she had been looking forward to all day. The class was Potions, and it normally was that exciting, (there was too much writing, and not enough working with potions.) but today they were going to work on transmutation. It wasn't going to be anything exciting since it was their first time working on it, but it would be alot better than that paper on wormwood. Yedida sighed and walked into class. Some students ended up getting punished, and she was glad she wasn't one of them. But afterwards, they had to turn goblets into rats, and she hoped she wouldn't be joining them in their punishment if she couldn't complete the assignment.
Seibzeihn
Katsuhito frowned absently and fingered the longsword sheathed at his side. He hated the training weapons that the Swordplay teacher made them use...Weaponry was a little more free in the types and styles allowed, but Swordplay was much more...constrained. Katsuhito wondered if they were blunting the skills he possessed with his own version of the longsword, the Heavenshatter. Then again, he was pretty good with the basic longsword too, it was just so...boring. While two students stepped out of the line and assumed sparring positions in the circle, Katsuhito chatted absently with a fellow classmate. "Pretty dull today, eh?" Gonshiro glanced at the two in the circle. "Yeah...If only Hachiro-sensei would let us use combat magic at the same time..." Katsuhito nudged him. "You know that won't happen. This week is for 'conventional swordplay.' None of that magical stuff." Gonshiro looked unconvinced. "Still, though. If this class is supposed to hone our combat skills, we should use all of the resources available to us during a battle. After all, I would use magic in conjunction with the sword if I ever got in a fight." "Try telling that to Hachiro-sensei," laughed Katsuhito. "Point taken..." Gonshiro looked thoughtful. "What are you going to do for lunch today?" Katsuhito pondered this for a moment. "Not sure. You?" "Heading over to the girls' wing," smirked Gonshiro. "Care to join me?" "Perhaps..." Katsuhito fell silent, and didn't speak much after that.
