alright I know that this is probably a REALLY stupid question...but here it goes.
When it snows whats your fav. thing to do? I mean me and my brother we would go out and make forts than fight my dad and step mom in snowball fight in West Vergina...never been really big on the snow man thing, but what do you guys like to do? Stay in and watch games or, like my best friends boyfriend...go out nad tackle your dog in the snow...don't ask he has issues but, he's cute...reminds me of a child in a candy store.
nad tackle your dog in the snow...don't ask he has issues
That's GOTTA hurt. XD

I don't play with the snow all that much. Even when I was younger, I just didn't see the point unless I could actually hurt the person (I was an evil little child). I built a few forts every now and then, but I hated to make snow angels. That's about it, really.

Besides, it's been like three+ winters since we've had any real accumulation of snow. Everyone's probably forgotten how to play with the stuff. And for this winter, because of the freeze (yeah, there's a 2-week freeze warning in effect where I live), anything that falls from the sky will only hurt you. It just snowed last night, and everything is just sheets of ice now. My dad has even taken the liberty to be the first person to get seriously hurt by falling on the stuff.

It was kind of funny at first, but after the blood starting coming out, the humor was kinda sucked dry. *shrugs* I prefer summery weather. ^^

That?s a bit ironic that this post just came up because it just snowed last night? my brother was convinced school; would be canceled (because he?s not out for break yet) but it wasn?t. I?m pretty sure that in more western Virginia and in West Virginia they got school off (or at least delays) and some places in southern Maryland and DC might have too, but I can?t see how since there was only a thin sheet of snow just enough to make the place look pretty last night and most of it had dried up by this morning but I suppose some roads could be rather icy? anyways

Most favorite thing to do? Depends on were I am ?if I?m up in Blue Knob I?d diffidently be skiing (it being a ski resort) but when I?m just here probably just lots of sledding and snow ball fights, I remember once two or three years ago we had a big neighborhood snowball fight which was a lot of fun. I?ve never been that into making snow men but once last year we made about have a snow man that was sinking into the ground and put a sign in front saying ?quicksand? so yes that was fun? but really I?m just fine with running around not warmly dressed out side.^^ oh and once when we went up to Blue Knob with our friends The Curtins we built a huge igloo that one or two people could sit inside and tried to furnish it. (That was the weekend we got stuck up there because of snow storms and the people at Blue Knob had a big breakfast thing for everyone who got stuck). Oh yea and drinking hot chocolate with way to much whipped cream or marshmallows is always fun too!

Well, when it comes to snow, let's just say I know my way around. Frankly, I dont really like playing in the snow, per se, but I just enjoy having it. Last year, when we had 10ft of snow (15 ft in New Brunsuick Holy Crap) I couldn't actualy get outside, since my door was frozen solid, plus the snow was still soft, and there isnt much you can do in 10ft of powder, now is there? Usually, I prefer simplyto loung in the snow. Put on a jacket, make a little backrest, and lay there, reveling in the cold, and staring at the skies, knock back a few, and go to sleep. Course, it sorta sucks to wake up with sever panemonia... meh.

Frankly, I can't see why you guys get school off just because it snows... we only had 2 days off all last winter, and those were the days all the snow fell. It pisses me off you guys get school off so easy... We've had snow for a good three weeks now, ****** roads, and it was -20 C today (Freaking cold when you froget your damn jacket) but we still had to go... pussies.

I like to cuddle up in a thick warm blanket on the sofa with a big mug of hot chocolate *dreams of day when exams are over*.

I'm cold. I'm very cold. Temperture is -16 degrees C. Windchill is -26. The heater is on, and the windows are shut tightly, but I still feel cold air coming in. When I go outside, the air feels like ice. It's too cold to enjoy the snow. The snow is so cold it won't even pack together. Sigh... I wish I can make a snowman just once.

Anyway, I've tried skiing once in my life, and I could not get down the hill without falling. I fell in many strange and creative ways. I'm surprised I didn't break anything.

Skating? Last time I tried that I lost balance an landed (SMACK!) on my chin. Very painful for my whole jaw, but again, nothing broken. I guess I get more clacium than I need. Needed stiches though.

If it isn't too cold and I'm dressed well, I like to fall on my back in the snow if it's really deep. Sweet bliss.....
No snow here. Phoenix Arizona, the desert. Although, I used to live in upstate New Yourk, got about 7 feet of snow one year .
You must have lived in Buffalo then...I remember that it was back in 2001. Buffalo received 7 feet of snow Christmas eve/day and Rochester didn't get any and I-90 West (the interstate) was closed.

As for snow stuff, I like sledding alothough I haven't been in a few years. I also still go outside and build snow people the more PC version of snowmen. Yes, i'm 23 years old and I play in the snow, I wonder if there's a support group for that.

It's snowed here off and on in my little courner of Western NY, but nothing to write home about. I called my friend in Pheonix today and told her it was 4 degrees her though and she laughed at me. That reminds me that I should email her.

I wish it snowed here more, but it doesn't?.well not often, anyway. I experienced more snow in South Africa than I do here in England, which is just plain strange.

When it snows, the fun thing for me to do is go to a public place with lots of people you don't know. When I lived in South Africa, our house was close to the mountain ranges, so even though it didn?t snow in our front garden, it wasn't a long drive to get up to the beautiful snow in the mountains. I remember that my dad and I were building a snowman and a truck came up the road that went right through the range. Now the people in it were going up to road to clear any snow that may block it, but they had foolishly left the back open with all the workmen sitting there as practically stationary targets (the truck was indeed moving that slow). So everyone picks up their snowballs and chucks them in the truck. Poor guys didn?t stand a chance with 30 kids throwing snowballs and them, getting hit with nowhere to run. It's very amusing when you start getting cursed at in Afrikaans and you have no clue what the guys are saying to you ^___^.

'Made In Canada' Hah. I gotta steal that from you Sword Breaker...

Here (Ontario, Canada) we get our fair share of snow. We never get school days off though. Yesterday it was freakin' cold. -25 Degrees C, with a Wind Chill of -34 Degrees C! But I still went Sledding with friends. Lol.

Today the temperature has dropped about 20 degrees, and the wind chill about 28 degrees. So it's much warmer.

Anywho, I like sledding alot. It's great fun. I also enjoy snowball fights/wars. Although sometimes they can be boring. I often enough make a snowfort with friends. That can be fun. But Sledding is my #1. For sure.

Last year, we got about three feet of snow, around January and we got a week off of school. Man that rocked. Anyway, we got an extremely light dusting on monday. Two hour delay for my brothers, I was off school anyway (w00t! no exams!).

I LOVE to go sledding with my friends. Snow ball fights aren't that fun for me, because there's no point to it. You throw some snow, and hit someone. The end. meh...

Well, the weather has been very odd lately. Right now...over here at least, we have no snow. Though when we used to get tons of snow I would always go sledding with my dad at our favorite park that had this one huge hill in it. All of the kids would come here when the snow just came and was nice and fresh. If I were with my cousins at their house or at my house with my friends we would most likely have huge snowball tournaments.
Now though, I am to stay inside watching television, playing games that I've beaten a thousand times, and surfing the net. Its terribly cold outside but there's no snow. Even when its not cold outside and the weather is fair, there is still nothing to do since all year fun is planned according to its weather. The way it is now, we don't know what to do. I should be outside with my dad sledding, having snow ball fights, but this world is messed up and well you all get it.

Whee! I was born in Phoenix, AZ. ^_^

Anyway, here in Ohio its been snowing alot lately. We have about a foot in our backyard. Today the high, I think, is in the low 30s (F). That isn't too bad, so I shouldn't really complain. I do get cold easily though.

Well the past few years I really didn't play in the snow very much. This year I have however. I hiked with my mom and her friend for two hours in the park, in a blizzard. It was awesome. I couldn't feel my face, but it was still fun. My brother and I tried to ride the bikes in the snow last night, which really didn't work out to well. Lol.

When I was younger, in Arizona, we would go to Sholow, Flagstaff, and Prescott for the snow. We would sled, make snow men, snow angels, etc. I was forced to move to Ohio just before my eleventh birthday, so now I enjoy a season of snow. Though I'd still rather live in Phoenix.

Drum which is where the Army does cold weather training and us Western New Yorkers), People in Colorado, Those people in INdiana who were stuck in their vehicles for 3 days and oh I don't know Midwesteners and The Swedish.

It snowed about a foot here Wednesday, then it melted on Thursday. today it's cold out, but no snow. Go figure.

I've yet to see more than a dusting of snow this season, but I don't mind. Don't get me wrong, I love playing in the snow...but I was extremely happy that I didn't have to walk to class in it! (At least, until I got winter boots.)

Two years ago, my sister and I got home after school and discovered that the snow in our front yard was perfect for packing. We thought we'd make a snow fort and pelt our brothers when they got home a couple hours later.

Well, that idea sort of changed, and we ended up being outside well after the boys (and later, our dad) got home. Everyne helped, and by the time it was dark, we had built....a Snow Sphinx. It was bigger than my truck, heh. It was awesome.

Last year we had a row of giant Tiki heads in our front lawn. This winter, if it snows in the next couple weeks (while I'm home for break) I'm going to built a Snow-toro in our yard. That'll be awesome. ^_^

laughing all the way,
Sara

Considering I live in California and all it does is rain, rain and more rain over here, having snow would be very welcoming. I haven't seen snow since I was probably around 10 years old :( sad really. I use to go up to Lake Tahoe and ride a sled down a hill. That was the funnest thing, oh and snowball fights! I'd definately have to say Sleding although I'm bigger now I'd probably fall over but thats the only thing I really remember. If only it snowed in CALI...*Sigh* oh well. back to the stupid rain.
