Guest nova2112
I think, that more than any other series I've probably re-watched Fruits Basket more than any other, however, there are a lot of series that i've watched several times, cowboy bebop, excel saga, soul hunter, saiyuki, ranma (i only have seasons 1-5) and His and Her Circumstances for instance...im certian i've watched all of those at least five times. I've also seen GTO several times...oh, and Love Hina for sure, but more than watching Love Hina, i've read it probably a bazillion times <3Mutsumi<
JenniKate
For me it's more about the anime I don't watch more than once... and the only one of those so far is Ninja Scroll. The violence in that really bothered me, I'm not sure entirely why as violence in other anime seems perfectly fine. The ones I constantly rewatch are Cowboy Bebop - the story, characters and music all combine perfectly to make this the most addictive anime I've seen. You can't help get attached to the Bebop crew everytime you watch, even though you know the outcome. Also Neon Genesis Evangelion. I will never fully understand it, but each time I watch it I get something new out of it. I tend to put it on when I'm in a low mood or going through a period of anxiety as it gives off vibes that suit those feelings. It also gives me something to focus my feelings on rather than wallowing in self pity! :D
Crazy Ace
I watched Gundam Wing like 5 times over and Cowboy Bebop as well. Its hard for me to watch other anime because no one over here sells the Dvd's and cable over here only has like 50 channels so all I have is Techtv and cartoon network on hand to watch anime

natetron46
I love to go back and rewatch DBZ, its always good to go back and see some good battles you had forgotten about. I didnt remember how good Goku vs Cell was until I rewatched it, great fight!
XcXChezaXcX
I tape all anime shows I watch on t.v. Ya, obsessive. I mainly rewatch Yu Yu Hackusho, Wolfs Rain, and FullMetal Alchemist. It all depends on how good the show is.
Panda
There are several series I enjoy watching again and again. One of those would be Azumanga Daioh. It is definitely one of my personal favorites. The light-hearted nature of the story line makes it worthy of watching over and over. The characters are funny and you just can't help falling in love with them. More than likely you can find at least one of the characters similar to someone you grew up with. For me that character would be Osaka, I am not sure if that is good or bad. Hellsing is another anime on my list of re-watched animes. It is a bit dark and heavy but I really enjoy having the DVD on when I am writing or working on some art. I am sure I have played the series dozens of times. For some reason it really inspires me to draw. If you have seen my art style that really doesn't make much sense since Hellsing is the complete opposite of the cute, cuddly stuff I draw. Who knows why it sparks creativity in me. ::shrugs:: Other than those two the rest of my collection I re-watch when I get the bug for that anime. You have to admit some animes you really just have to be in the mood to watch.
Air
you wouldn't imagine how many times i watched Air over and over again.... its simply for addicting~! this anime's genre is drama since i just started the series. The first 3 eps is an truly amazing show. This show being 12 eps total and a movie. The animation is definately beautiful and lifelike/ Basicly ... this is a fantasy-drama genred anime. So... maybe ... if you like a fighting or the anime with blood scathered sceene you won't expecting much from this series ... . In the half mdidle of the story you'll feel the calm and the peaceness of the plot. But in the end the story flow will drag you into a sadness and touching situations. This anime will be the one to watch out of all the new ones this season. The animation is definetly the strongest point about the anime. The Op and soundtracks are good. Story has HUGE potential just judging from first episode. Characters are defetly memorable, the main character (the puppeteer) is very serious and cool, and yet they put him in such a situation... There was the right amount of cuteness, seriousness, and great character developement.
Heaven's Cloud
Every couple of months or so I get bet bit by the anime bug and pull out one or two of my box sets and watch them (after I have dusted them off). Obviously the anime I tend to frequent is Cowboy Bebop. I find that I am able to revisit Cowboy Bebop (or at least various episodes) when I really don?t want to concentrate on what I am watching. I have seen the series so many times that I now just tend to find it a great backdrop for other activities, like re-stringing my guitar. Now, I am not trying to take anything away from this series, it is superb, but it moves well and is interesting enough to watch absentmindedly but not so terribly intricate that it requires all of my attention. Again, in its defense, I do sometimes get caught up in certain scenes and entirely forget what I am doing.
Eva Unit 100, I'm calling you on that: there is, in my opinion, no show that requires more than two viewings to take in everything it has to offer. Something I would like to discuss (is this thread ok for that?) if you disagree.
I agree and disagree with you on that point. I agree because any well written, well plotted television show should be understandable when you watch it the first time. The purpose should be evident, unless it is just a terrible show. I disagree (but only slightly) because when you take into account symbolism, social references, and relations to other pieces of existing media the viewer just might not make a connection or have the knowledge required to make that connection (take the Simpsons for example, very few people, if anyone, grasps all of the social innuendos in the series). However, these usually aren?t crucial to the flow of the plot, they are just intriguing aspects woven into the story to give it depth and add to its enjoyment. Haze
I tend to agree with Azure. Once you've seen a series twice, there really is no point in watching it again. By that point you probably have figured out all the minute details and/or character flaws in every single character plus you already know what will happen. I usually get pretty bored watching anime I've seen more than twice. There are exceptions though: Naruto: You can't not watch Naruto over and over and over again. I've seen episodes 1-98 two or three times now, and I must admit I still cry and laugh at everything that happens. It still surprises me with what happens in the Chuunin exams (you know what I mean ^__~), and I still root for my favorite characters to kick butt, even though I already know they do. Seeing the kid-ness in Naruto just never gets old; everytime I see him a smile comes to my face. Even though, as Azure put it, I've "[taken] in everything it has to offer" I still love watching it. If you've never seen it....get out there and buy it or d/l it or steal it or mooch it off of somebody else. You gotta see this show. ^__^ Gravitation: Heh. Yeah, so I'm a yaoi-fan-girl. So what? ^__~ I love everything about Gravitation, whether we are talking music, characters, or plot. It's an all around good show that just makes me giggle. It also has a serious side though...which is another reason I love it. I think I've watched it 4 or 5 times including all the OAVs. I think the thing that really puts Gravitation pretty high up there for me is the music. I can't get enough of it. I love Ryuichi and Shuichi when they sing. This show is probably what got me into JROCK/JPOP. And besides it has.... *KUMAGORO BEAM* xD

Dagger
you wouldn't imagine how many times i watched Air over and over again.... its simply for addicting~!
I, too, have been obsessively re-watching the first three episodes of AIR. It's so beautiful and stirring and purely entertaining; each episode outdoes the last. This show makes me wish I played bishoujo games. Though I often get hung up on its sheer visual richness, it also boasts excellent music and writing, and the characters are simply irresistible. Barring a drastic drop in production values and/or story quality, I can't imagine ever getting tired of AIR. ~Dagger~
kaisha
Inuyasha, I own the 1st season on DVD I watch it all the time. I watch re-runs on tv too, as well as new episodes.
Endymion
There are a few series I re-watch usually. Onegai Teacher probably taking the #1 slot. I like the music, the characters, and the storyline. I read the manga too,
the different ending was enjoyable.
Got my Mizuho Kazami figurine sitting on top of my moniter. In the last week I've seen, from start to finish, Elfen Lied about 3 times. I rank it over Evangelion, which I frequently re-watch, so re-playability of Elfen Lied will be higher. I also watch Crest/Banner of the Stars and Lodoss War more than Evangelion.
Guest Shadesofhades
I'm currently on my second run-thru of Saiyuki, but I've watched some of the dvd here and there a few times. Lets see... I've seen the first few Naruto episode a bunch of times... Fruits Baskets. I've seen that series probably more times then I can count. Yami no Matsuei too. And Gravitation for that matter. Nightwalker's quite fun. And Digimon I always try to watch when it's on even though I've seen all the episode a million times... ^.^ I just can't get enough of season one and two! Oh! And I'm Gonna Be An Angel... I love that anime! I've also watched Kizuna a few time since I've downloaded it... and I haven't had it that long, so that's saying a lot. When I find time I frequently re-watch anime. One viewing is never enough if I like it. Sometimes I just put it in as background noise when I'm working on something. Rick Hunter
The animes that I tend to frequently watch from time to time are as follows: Super Dimesional Fortress Macross: Just can't get enough of this classic Anime Soap Opera! Yu-Gi-Oh (Japanese version): So much more entertaining in Japanese without it trying to be politcally correct. Cowboy Bebop: Great story, no need to watch all episodes of the show to get hooked to it. So why bother watching it in order!?
Guest ThE_MaStA_ChIeF
What i have re-watched a lot is really Dragonball-Z Because of the cell saga that was my favorite. I also rewatch any Gundam serires, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Hellsing, Vampire Hunter D, VHD:Bloodlust, well, I rewatch all the anime I have. :D
Weaver_Karuko
I'd have to say that I rewatch Cowboy Bebop and .hack//sign the most, just because they were fantastic series' and it is truly amazing some of the things you pick up that you didn't catch the first way around... Especially in .hack//sign. It's a common known fact that you won't understand a series fully unless you watch it more than once, I am a fond believer in this fact... I'm fixing to watch Hellsing again.
Dragonboym2
I love the .Hack games. They are right up there with Final Fantasy. The series is very good. I like how it sets things up for the games. I haven't seen all of it yet. FF gets more publisity. So being number two, (or three, or four), .Hack should try harder. At least FF dosn't have those Goddamn "Deadly Present" monsters. :flaming: Oh, how I HATE those things. You think there should be other .Hack animes and games? "Cowboy Bebop". Hell Yeah! :wigout: That show is one of the best. I'm looking foward to seeing how the manga is. I'm also looking foward to the video game too. I just I hope it's good. Ozymandius Jones
I'd have to say Trigun and Big O...I watch Trigun because the characters are addicting. The plot isn't the deepest thing around, but it's...just...Trigun. What more reason could I need? Big O I have watched about nine million times, trying to figure out the answers to all the questions they raise...and it's not working. But that's about it...I'm a poor college student who can't aford any more anime right now...
Delta
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Gensomaden Saiyuki (It's in the action sequences, baby.) No, really, I've watched GITS:SAC countless of times now because I still don't fully understand the Puppet Master case.
A lot was revealed in the "Chat! Chat! Chat!" episode
and I, being the OC person that I am, have taken it upon myself to dissect the information they brought up. (I could Google it but it takes the fun out of the series, don't you think?) GITS is the type of anime I would watch when I've nothing to do (read: quite often) because it shakes idle minds up (and has great action sequences and lovable blue robots!). Repeat: Saiyuki is full of mindless slaughter and good-looking men. It functions in opposite to GITS; seeing ridiculous amounts of blood can really help take your mind off things. Meh, it's the amazing fight scenes that make me rewatch it. Extremely well-choreographed; wonder how they get through those small spaces?.
